putting it as dup of 81960).

I noticed it worked for column width. So I wanted to compare the process for
column and for row.
I thought first it was thanks to
http://opengrok.libreoffice.org/xref/core/dbaccess/source/ui/misc/UITools.cxx#988
but I added a trace and nothing appeared.
Opengroking on "column-width" gave a lot of results.

A good chance that complex SVG files are also similarly affected--at least on
Windows builds--have yet to fully parse things out. But, getting some
instability in working with large SVGs that are otherwise stable through out
the 4.2.x builds, but go flaky early in 4.3.0.0alpha0+ builds.

Will work on it but for anyone interested, for an example take a look at
handling of SVG attachment 76676 from bug 62461, SVG similar in complexity to
the problem EMF here.

Terry E.'s linked attachement 107727 .XLSX opens without issue with the TB42
builds from 2014-10-08 & 09, but then has the same drawing issue with TB42
builds for 2014-10-10 & 11. So issue is not affecting just .ODS format.

Also, existing .ODS documents render correctly through the TB42 build on the
9th, but fail for build from 10th or 11th.

earlier. The table will also not respond to a cut command.

2014-10-11 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=84925

Bug ID: 84925
Summary: FILEOPEN: crash: "bad rational: zero denominator"
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 4.4.0.0.alpha0+ Master
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Keywords: regression
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Drawing
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: lo_b...@iseries-guru.com

I stumbled across this while trying to bibisect bug 84904
"Distribution icons look distorted". In the daily dbgutil version
2014-10-10, the program raises an assertion:

terminate called after throwing an instance of 'boost::bad_rational'
  what():  bad rational: zero denominator
Application Error

Fatal exception: Signal 6

In the version 2014-10-11, the program presents the message in a
msgbox and then exits.

STR

(1) Download file tux-distribution.odg attached to bug 51876
.

(2) Open the file from the command line. Program raises assertion or
displays msgbox.

Working in the daily dbgutil bibisect repository, I see from `git bisect good`:

Last successful save before the unexpected error.

Revising a .xlsx spreadsheet with changes recorded - when I attempt to save,
Libre Office reports an unexpected error. Libre Office cannot restore because
it says file is locked. I can only open in read only mode or as a copy.
Trying either of these and saving again causes same error.

This is critical because I am working on a collaborative document with a
deadline.

2014-10-11 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=70418

Right now, the select-by-word mode has to be enabled by double-clicking on a
word and then dragging. The user has to remember to start with a double click.
Instead, I am suggesting to have a more intelligent select that starts with a
single-click and drag. Once you have highlighted more than one word, it will
automatically switch into select-by-word mode. To disable this mode, you move
the move backwards to return to the select-by-character mode.

This is how most modern word processors behave. Do you have access to Word
Perfect or MS Word? If not, I can record a video on youtube.

A simple check is the output of the command,

Must be 32 (for a 64-bit system it's 64 :)

Another useful check is 'uname -m'

I accidentally stumbled onto a potential fix today while viewing a PDF in full
screen mode in Adobe Reader 11. I noticed the exact same behavior in the full
screen mode there that I did in Impress as described in my earlier reports
above. This triggered the thought that the monitor might be slightly out of
adjustment, or might be able to compensate. I went into the monitor settings
and adjusted the display slightly down and to the right. Each was a 3%
adjustment on my Dell monitor which was the minimum I could adjust with one
tap, and that was enough to do fix the full screen display in Adobe and
Impress, but without changing the full screen view in any other program,
including PPT, or in my other than full screen views in any other programs or
the desktop.

Since I don't know anything about the programming for full screen, it may be
that the full screen width and/or height may need to be adjusted in Impress
within the program, since the problem, as stated above, does not exist in
PowerPoint. After all, I have still noted the same behavior on three different
computers where I tried it, so I don't think it is likely that all three
displays would be "off" by the same amount and position. I have not looked for
the same issue in Reader on any other computer. So while I have a fix, I
hesitate call it "solved" just yet.

Hope this helps.

Does this issue still persist for you or anybody else with the latest release

It is a pity that you have to print a comment with a background colour evene if

Getting the possibility to reset the background colour to none would help.

I don't think we should change LibreOffice installer. It is only a temporary
problem. As time passes by, everyone will have this security patch and solve
the issue once with uninstall/reinstall. Then upgrades will work again. Comment
6 contains very useful instructions, that should be made widely available.

Tested the scenario in comment #4 with versions 4.0.6, 4.1.6, 4.2.6, 4.3.4.0.0+
and master (4.4.0 alpha) under Ubuntu 14.04 x86-64:
# works as expected in 4.0 and 4.1
# does not work in 4.2, 4.3 and 4.4

I think that the observed behavior is the result of 2 bugs:

1/ in 4.2.6 (NB: _before_ the change introduced by bug 81309) D18 remains empty
but contains the right formula (=C18/1.105) --> here the formula is not
recalculated after sorting. ctrl+shift+F9 forces the recalculation and the
result is correct

2/ in 4.3.4.0.0+ (NB: _after_ the change introduced by bug 81309 but _without_
the configuration option introduced by bug 81633) D18 remains empty but does
not contains the right formula, it refers to C73 instead of C18, that is to the
last row of the cells range. D19 refers to C18, D20 to C19, and so on until
D73.
That said, D73 is correctly recalculated so the problem of 4.2.6 is fixed here.
In this case a temporarily solution is to propagate the formula from D2.

3/ in 4.4.0 alpha (NB: _after_ the change introduced by bug 81309 and _with_
the configuration option introduced by bug 81633) :
case 1 : option "update references when sorting range of cells" _not
checked_: after sorting D18 is empty but contains the right formula and
ctrl+shift+F9 forces the recalculation and the result is correct --> same case
as 4.2.6
case 2 : option "update references when sorting range of cells" _checked_:
same behavior as in 4.3.4.0.0+

Summary:
4.0.6 and 4.1.6: sort OK, recalculation OK
4.2.6.3: sort OK, recalculation KO
4.3.4.0.0+ : sort KO, recalculation OK
4.4.0 alpha option not checked : sort OK, recalculation KO
4.4.0 alpha option checked : sort KO, recalculation OK

I wonder why carbon (an API for backward compatibility, see
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carbon_%28API%29) appears here.

Tor: thought you might be interested.

Frantisek: meanwhile, would you have some time to give a try after having
upgraded to MacOs 10.9.5?

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 84918] New: Best french translation for document autosave

2014-10-11 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=84918

Bug ID: 84918
Summary: Best french translation for document autosave
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 4.3.2.2 release
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: minor
  Priority: low
 Component: Localization
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: rpn...@free.fr

For this part of online or local help, I suggest this that it is moe
comprehensible, I think :

The english text :
Automatically save the document too

Specifies that LibreOffice saves all open documents when saving auto recovery
information. Uses the same time interval as AutoRecovery does.

The actual french translation :

Enregistrer également le document automatiquement

Spécifique que LibreOffice enregistrement tous les documents ouverts lors de
l'enregistrement de récupération automatique des informations. Il utilise le
même intervalle de temps que le fait la récupération automatique.

I suggest that :

Enregistrer également le document automatiquement

Spécifie que LibreOffice enregistrera tous les documents ouverts en même temps
que l'enregistrement des informations de récupération automatique. Le même
intervalle de temps que la récupération automatique est utilisé.

Partly reproducible with LO 4.3.2.2 (Win 8.1)

Step 2 and 3: work as expected with CTRL + Double Mouse Click
Step 4: only the link at the word "Some" works, but not the one at "Frame"
Step 5: Both links in the Draw text frame don't work
