Well that was my assumption from the bug description. So do you think we should
rename the title as i was searching through all the categories looking for
'Wrap' and didnt find anything that i thought resembled it. I'll start working
on an icon.

Any suggestions on where in the toolbar the button should be placed?

Got the latest build and the area isnt being shrunk anymore but the area now is
smaller than it used to be, which makes the scrollbar buttons to overlap each
other and i'm not able to get to the second row of recently used colors.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 85587] New: save it again

2014-10-29 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=85587

Bug ID: 85587
   Summary: save it again
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 4.2.6.3 release
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: major
  Priority: medium
 Component: Database
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: apiuano-lob...@yahoo.gr

I understand that requirung of "double" saving anything maybe is due to the
ability of having multiple instances of the same "anything".
But this is a very strange and dangerous behaviour.
What I mean.
Open any odb file with at least one table.
Select to edit the table. (Table Design)
Make any change (lets say, rename a field)
Save it.
Close the "Table Design" window.
Now you are back to the main window of odb.
Although you have saved all changes you made,
when you try to close the main window the program is asking the user if he/she
wants to save the changes!!!
(USER ASKS:)But I already have saved all my changes!!!
Which are the "new" changes that program wants me to save?

This may create unpredictable results in case user has already other opened
windows which he may or may not want to save.

With the recent addition of an icon to the custom color picker button, it would
be good to have a few more pixels between the icon and label. 2 or 3 pixels
would do.

There should not be a second row. The recent color count is no more than one
row by design. See Tomaž Vajngerl comment at
https://gerrit.libreoffice.org/11494/.

Regarding the scrollbar - it's a bug, as it shouldn't appear at all.

I thought that might be the case. :D Well then can we add maybe 2 or 3 pixels
padding above and below, so i doesnt seem so cramped. Also is it possible to
remove the scrollbar buttons on the right.

> Regarding the scrollbar - it's a bug, as it shouldn't appear at all.

If the scrollbar isnt supposed to show, what visual indicator is a user
supposed to know that there are additional colors outside of the ones currently
being displayed.

the problem is that these DLL are loaded previously by a third party software
and then libreoffice do not use the DLL provided in /program directory (not
served by the OS)

one temporary solution is also to copy these 2 DLLs provided by Libreoffice
from /program to program\python-core-3.3.3\lib (same directory than _ssl.pyd)

not suitable for globally solving the problem to libreoffice (need to tweak
.local files or any other mean to force using the dll provided by libreoffice)

these seems rather critical as LibreOffice could use obsolote ssl dlls

I think you are mistaken, that part simply names the drop down.

I think the current selected color label should appear below the color palette

Hmm, It seems to depend on the platform/theme. As you can see from the attached

BTW I searched for the commit the fixed the scrollbar, but couldn't find one

Thanks for additional testing.
Sorry, but "version" is version of LO where bug appears. Not a current version.
If bug disappears we just close bugreport. And "hardware" is list of all
platforms where bug reproducible. Not a specific one.
Changing back to "unspecified" (very ancient bug) and "All".

Yes its a tricky thing that shows up some places and not other places. Its not
showing for me on Linux Mint 13 Mate [Clearlooks] or Windows 7 [Basic]. On
Windows 7, the scrollbar does appear (though slightly cut) in Classic and it
shows fine in Aero. I believe Matthew Francis (mjayfrancis) made some
modification to the code and thats what fixed it.

if you have a comment inserted in the document, and if you want to change the
font color, the button from the toolbar does NOT work ...
so, you have to go: menu/format/character ...
and then you can change the color ...

NOTE #1: it's of minor annoyance, I didn't even realize so far that you can
actually change the font color in the notes ... but now that I know, I'd be
happy to use this and I guess other people might think like that too .)
cause it's a nice way to emphasize some part of the note...

NOTE #2:
highlighting could be considered to made active too :)

(In reply to Tom Jones from comment #7)
> Created attachment 105684 [details]
> Problem illustrated, example file from "Version: 4.3.0.4"

In this example, 23:10:04.321 is shown as Text cell, and 23:10:04,32 (with
comma) is shown as Time cell and rounded (and it seems to be time indeed).
I cannot reproduce this with LO 4.3.2, maybe because in my regional settings,
separator is ",". But, if I paste for example 11:58:45,541 then it's recognized
as Time and I see 11:58:45,54.
I guess you have "." as a separator. This behavior seems thus normal.
I suggest this be closed as "WorksForMe".

Hello! Yes it linked with external file but you don't need external file to
reproduce the bug. All you need to do is open sample file with LO 4.1.x and LO
4.2-4.3 and compare the results. In LO 4.1.x (and MSO 2010) sample file opens
with correct values of vlookup and in LO 4.2+ it opens with #N/A values. If
you'll save sample file as .ods and will open it in any version of LO you'll
see correct values of vlookup function. I attached all files you requested to
make sure you'll get all needed data for reproduce the bug.

Using LO 4.4.0 master from today on Windows, I can open ODT, but when I save
the document as DOCX, I can reopen it in MS Office 2010 normally (245 pages)
but in LO VERY slowly.

Maybe. Should this be closed then, or reported as another bug, or left open
until explained?

Fino cap 7 per Alessandro - saved with Word 2013 as docx

This docx still opens very slowly with LO, while it opens normally with MS
Word.

I just noticed the original ODT has 159 converted sections, and wrong
formatting starts from page 10.

Correction: I was able to open original ODT also with Word 2010, but after the
warning, which 2013 doesn't show (maybe due to odt version).

That's "Bild 1". You typed the text in frame.

> Footnote 43 does have its number too big and too high.

Tabs added. Probably Bug 64026, good candidate for MAB - but seems to be solved
now somewhere.

> The last 2 pages in testcopy_lo.pdf now are 3 ones in testcopy_lo_output.pdf.
> Seems to be that the export added another page. Why is this so?
> The original pdf text had 22 pages. Using .doc export this expanded to 35
> pages as you can see.

In LO 4.2.7., I get: odt 26 pages, doc 57 pages.
In LO 4.3.2., I get: odt 23 pages, doc 49 pages. DOC saved in LO 4.3.2.: 45
pages.
In LO 4.4.0. master, I get: odt 26 pages, doc 57 pages. DOC saved in LO
4.4.0.: 26 pages.
So, this may have been solved somewhere, and it remains to be seen whether this
will be backported to 4.3.x.

> I am not able sending this to a publisher this way. He wont be very happy
> with this kind of export.

Sorry, don't you send PDF, exported from original ODT, which should be fine?

BTW, your pictures are not in the file, try to open it from some other
computer.

I think this should be marked as "Resolved-WorksForMe".

I tried editing a different value, saving and reopening 11 times, but didn't
get any data mix up or lost layout.

I observed that when I changed a value, the corresponding cell in "Cisco 3750"

this was not the issue of the original report.

Please test with latest stable version or master. If you still observe it, I

I couldn't test that problem with Bild 1 comment, but I inserted some other

But, using picture caption, and normal text with wrap option, DOC looks fine.

Either that, either change the title to "Picture and frame position problem in

licenses work this way, and this specific license is both DFSG compatible and
FSF approved

In reply to comment 10: Despite appearances, this is a Windows only issue

- OSX bundles the STIX fonts itself since 10.7
- All major Linux distributions provide a package for the STIX fonts, so it
would be inappropriate to bundle another copy there

The only real remaining question is whether it would be appropriate for
LibreOffice to bundle its own copy on Windows

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 85599] New: Font-size of text in footnote is not formatted or displayed correctly

2014-10-29 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=85599

Bug ID: 85599
Summary: Font-size of text in footnote is not formatted or
displayed correctly
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 4.2.6.3 release
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Mac OS X (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: dx486...@gmail.com

Created attachment 108626
  --> https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=108626&action=edit
This is an example document to demonstrate the bug.

Problem description:
In the attached document 4th footnote text's font size is smaller than others.
However they all are belong to same footnote style.

Manually resizing that footnote text is not applied correctly. That text always
looks smaller than it should be.

Modifying the style does not change this situation either.

Expected behavior:

Footnote style should be applied to all footnotes in document.

Manually formatting should be applied correctly.

Text size should be displayed correctly.

the cropped drawing with proportional line-spacing < 100%
is regression in LO 3.3.0 from this commit which is obviously incomplete:

commit 70597695b23b5c45dfc735a7afd175f034428195

sw-allow-negative-spacing.diff: correctly display linespacing < 100%

n#364534

what's even worse is that a multi-line paragraph's rendered
inter-line spacing is the square of the percentage.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 85590] COLOR PICKER: 'Pick a color' doesnt show circle location when opened

2014-10-29 Thread bugzilla-daemon

Yes you are correct about the circle being there, but you cant see it in the
top left corner when the circle is set to white when you open a dark color.
When you open a light color, the circle is in black so you can clearly see it
then. :D

backtrace

Problem description: GensDataPro, a genealogy program
(http://gensdatapro.ngv.nl/), can generate a socalled personal chart with the
help of a template. The template calls various items of a person that is at
that moment selected.

Steps to reproduce:
1. In GensDataPro start: uitvoer>Persoonskaart>Naar Slabloon
2.
3.

Current behavior:Writer crashes when the reuslting rtf file calls writer to
start or if already started to show the result.

Expected behavior: Show the resulting rtf file

I can submit a backtrace and a copy of the template: perskaart.rtf

Open Office produces the output more or less correctly however without
including the photo.

Seems a valid format to be exchanging on the project Ask site. Any reason
we've not already implemented?
