Product: LibreOffice Version: 4.1.3.2 release Hardware: Other OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Spreadsheet Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: k...@cox.net Steps to reproduce: 1. Create a spreadsheet worksheet named "MMM". 2. In cell B1 enter the formula: =RIGHT(CELL("filename",B1),LEN(CELL("filename",B1))-FIND("$",CELL("filename",B1))) The formula evaluates to MMM (the sheet name). 3. Copy the worksheet to the same workbook. LibreCalc names the new sheet "MMM_2" and cell B1 on the new sheet evaluates to MMM_2 (the new sheet name). 4. Double-click on the new sheet tab and rename the sheet "HD". Cell B1 still displays MMM_2, and entering something on the sheet to cause the sheet to be recalculated does not cause cell B1 to be updated. 5. Copy Cell B1 to an empty cell on the same sheet. The copy evaluates to HD. 6. Repeat from step 4. as often as you like. Steps to reproduce: 1. Create 3 columns/ranges, "Units","Bought","Sold" (Number, Date, Date), for example: Units | Bought |Sold 45 | 02/07/1996 | 12/03/1999 75 | 05/10/2007 | 33 | 12/22/2013 | 2. Total number currently owned units should be the total of Units that have no date in Sold (108): =SUMIF(Sold,"",Units)gives zero (if A1 is blank =A1=""returns TRUE ) =SUMIF(Sold,0,Units) gives zero (if A1 is blank =A1=0 returns TRUE ) =SUMIF(Sold,FALSE,Units) gives zero (if A1 is blank =A1=FALSE returns TRUE ) =SUMIF(Sold,,Units) (error expected but none returned) SUMIF appears not to return a value to compare against criteria if a cell being checked is blank. This appears to have been reported before in 39511 - but perhaps not well communicated. 39511 should be reopened. Under View/Print layout or View/Web layout - both do the same thing. They toggle between each other. The GUI interface fails to clearly show which mode one is in - I did not realize the view mode was indicated at all until I was detailing this bug. This is because there is a a very faint out-line that can hardly be seen around the icon in the view menu - thus the confusion I see in several bug reports. Could be OS or desktop dependent? I've attached screen shots - this probably effects other settings as well. Fixing the selected icon display will greatly improve the value of the bug reports. (for the record running KDE on a Debian box) - this detail provides context to many of the bug reports about view selection. I have caused documents to become modified by changing the view - anchors shift. Do not shift back. I was hoping to find information in the bug reports, but because the mode status is not clear - the bug reports are not useful. The first step in fixing this is to provide a better indication of which mode one is in. The documentation is also wrong it states: "Changing document views Writer has three ways to view a document: Print Layout, Web Layout, and Full Screen. To change the view, go to the View menu and click on the required view." This is not correct - there are 4 modes: web, print, web-fullscreen, print-fullscreen. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

I tested with: - using the zooming buttons in the upper toolbar; - using the zooming buttons in the bottom status bar; - using ctrl+scroll. In every case, no scrollbars appeared, although I have to point out an inconsistency: the first time I tried (following Andy's instructions), I DID get the scrollbars... [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 85214] libreoffice fails to build properly when /bin/sh is not bash
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=85214 --- Comment #7 from Evan Langlois --- Jonathan: Still not valid as its treating it as if & meant to run it in the background as part of an asynchronous list. Its supposed to read it as cd - >/dev/null 2>&1 It's bash shorthand. I'm surprised dash supported "cd -" as I don't think that's posix. Julien: I'm running Gentoo's sister, funtoo. At the moment, I'm doing a full system recompile (not world, just system tools for now) to make sure there are no mistakes on this end, and upgrading to a slightly newer GCC. This means all the automake tools and such will all be rebuilt. Once this is done, I'll try libreoffice again without changing the shell (still dash), and see if I can track down which ./configure flags are causing the issue. I don't believe Gentoo systems normally run automake, but its quite possible that running it to rebuild the configure script could help. I think configure is already made upstream, so Gentoo doesn't tinker with it, but I think autogen may actually be the issue after researching this. I think if autogen is run with a shell that excepts bashism, it generates a configure that does as well. I have to confirm this. The recompile may take quite awhile, but I keep you posted as to what I can find out so that you have all the information you need to track this down. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 85945] Improving the File menu
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=85945 --- Comment #3 from Jay Philips --- (In reply to V Stuart Foote from comment #1) > @Jay, *, Hi Stuart, > Feels kind of uncomfortable having the Close button so disjoint from the > Open button--these are all actions applied to the current document. Most of the items in the menu relate to the current document. Doesnt really make sense to have the close button in a section of save buttons. > The Export actions should be with the Save actions. Not sure bringing the > Email button up out of Send is useful use of menu space. Yes export and save actions are similar, but each deserve their own section, primarily because there are so many save actions. The 'document as email' button was previously in the toolbar and it would be useful for those looking to access this feature to easily know where it is in the menu. > And, where does the Manage templates go? A new tab on the SideBar? File > New > Templates. (In reply to A (Andy) from comment #2) > From my point of view the "Reload" and "Versions" should also not be between > the Save and Export section, but I have unfortunately also no idea where it > could be better be placed. I had thought to move 'Reload' and 'Versions' into the save section, as 'Reload' reverts the document back to its original state, which people would normally like to do rather than choosing to save, while 'Versions' allows you to save multiple versions of a document inside the same document, so it is a save related action. But with reload being no different then closing the document without saving changes and reopening it and versions not working on all document types, it is less useful to move them higher than where they are presently. > Regarding the close button I am not yet sure, because I have pros and cons. Closing a document and closing the entire application are suitable to be in a section of their own. This is no different to have an 'X' on the right side of the menu bar to close the current document and another 'X' in the title bar to close the application. The other alternative is to move close to the bottom of the new/open section, as i've seen some applications do it this way (IBM Symphony, WordPerfect, Word 2003). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
