[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 41918] Using Ctrl+F8 affects setting in options giving confusion
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=41918 --- Comment #7 from Winfried Donkers --- (In reply to Beluga from comment #6) Hi Beluga, I hate to disappoint you, but: -I started calc (4.4.0.0alpha1+) with a blank document -I checked tools-options-calc-view-value highlighting: it was checked -I entered =1 in a cell, it was highlighted as a formula; as expected -I pressed Ctrl-F8, the highlighting disappeared; as expected -I checked tools-options-calc-view-value highlighting: it was unchecked; now _this_ I find confusing. Value highlighting is unchecked for this document only, the global setting is not changed, but the options dialog seems to tell me that the global setting _has_ changed! (-I opened another calc document and checked tools-options-calc-view-value highlighting: it was checked, as it should be) So there is no malfunctioning, there is confusion about a global setting when the local setting differs. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 86271] Pasting multiple lines to a line that is bolded makes the last line of the paste bold.
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=86271 --- Comment #3 from Mike Overby --- (In reply to Tim Lloyd from comment #2) > Voila, the first line is appended to the bolded line in bold. This is curious. In mine, the first line was appended in normal. > The second line appears in normal text > The third line is bolded Otherwise, yes this seems to be a decent simulation of what I found. However, I just realized that my initial instructions didn't say to use a list (bulleted or numbered), although that was in the video. Did you do that as well? While trying to reproduce it again, I learned that the bug does not exist for me in cases where I simply pressed enter to go to the next line, without a list. The list did work again. > However, if I > 1. add a 4th, blank, line after the 3 lines of normal text. > 2. Cut & paste the 4 lines > > the 3 normal lines are displayed correctly. I was making a document that had pictures and text and saving it as a .doc. When I got to around 90 to 96 pages it would auto save the document. Before exiting the program, I also saved the document but then when I reopened the document I was missing 10 or more pictures that I had entered and saved to the document. I re-entered the pictures and re saved the document, but it did the same exact thing again.Except this time when I tried to save the document it said there was an error saving the document. It then closed Libreoffice. When I reopened Libreoffice, it asked if I wanted to restore the lost file. I told it yes and it restored the file. The last 10 or so pictures were gone again when I reopened the document. I then reduced the over all size of the document actually by half, making two documents out of this one document. So now each document was bout 46 pages in length. When I saved the smaller documents I did not loose the pictures when I reopened the document. https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=86360 Bug ID: 86360 Summary: Calc crashes hard during sort if sort is: descending, by columns, all cells empty except sort value Product: LibreOffice Version: 4.3.3.2 release Hardware: All OS: Mac OS X (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Spreadsheet Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: thatseattle...@gmail.com Created attachment 109577 --> https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=109577&action=edit example spreadsheet to reproduce sort crash LO 4.3.3.2 under Mac OS X 10.6.8 (Snow Leopard). Calc crashes 100% of the time, hard and reproducibly, by: - selecting a range of cells with some values in row 1 (mine are all numeric) - rows 2 through end of selection are empty / have NO data values (i.e., are all blank cells except for formatting) - options selected: sort is descending, sort by columns, sort by values in row 1 LO immediately crashes after clicking "sort". However, if there is ANY data in the range, the crash doesn't happen. If the sort is ascending, the crash doesn't happen. This is a small number of rows/columns, btw - maybe 10x10 max. [Why am I sorting an empty range? Some cells are highlighted (even though blank) and I was trying to reverse the order of the highlighted cells.]) Someone else verify on their setup...want to make sure this isn't somehow snow leopard specific. Example spreadsheet is attached so you can reproduce. Select A1:J18, data->sort-> options "by columns", descending, row 1. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=72811 Steve Riley changed: What|Removed |Added Status|NEEDINFO|UNCONFIRMED Ever confirmed|1 |0 --- Comment #15 from Steve Riley --- (In reply to Björn Michaelsen from comment #14) > > About the file that still worked with MSWord: Which version was is generated > with? I we know about this having to > worked in a specific version this can be marked as a regression. I don't know the answer to that. I thought it might be useful to find some ODT document someplace that didn't exhibit any problems with Word. Then I was hoping that it might be possible to compare that document to the other, not working, document that I included in the original bug description. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 81792] Master document incorrectly printing/exporting document with tables and footnotes
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=81792 --- Comment #9 from David --- @Beluga - Please carefully check the pdf against the sample document again and you will that there is indeed a difference between the text in the pdf and the text in the bottom right cell in the sample document. Open the test.odm document. Enable Table | Table Boundaries. Verify that the Font Effect | Hidden option is enabled for the "-hide" character style. Now notice how the table outline extends down into the footnote area. That means that not all the text that is in that cell is actually being displayed since it's not in the text area. Now disable the Hidden option for the "-hide" character style. Now the table formats correctly. The footnotes that are hidden are in the left column. Count how many rows of text there are in the bottom cell in the right column. There are 14 rows in that cell, some of which get extended to the next page. In the pdf there are only 10 rows plus one that got extended to the next page. You can also count the words if you want to verify that not all of them are shown. Notice also how the footnote numbers are out of order on the second page and various other pages (even if the hidden option is disabled). Also, toggling the hidden option a few times, or dragging the column boundaries to change the column widths will cause it to crash. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 81435] Names lose reference information when copying cell ranges
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=81435 --- Comment #9 from Charles Brescia --- Hello: In reviewing this thread it seems I am having a similar behavior. I'm running LibreOffice 4.2.7.2 on Ubuntu 14.04. When I have a cell reference in one sheet to another, if I attempt to edit anything using Ctrl-X then Return the reference to the other sheet is deleted. In my attached example I have a number in Sheet1 that I reference in Sheet2 as "=Sheet1.B5" when I attempt to edit "Edit" using Ctrl-X then Return the reference in Sheet2 changes to simply "=B5". What's worse is the display in the field in Sheet2 doesn't change, leaving no clue to the error unless I hit Ctrl-Shift-F9 to force a recalculation. https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=82953 --- Comment #25 from Zolnai Tamás --- Hi there, I pushed a commit, which can fix this issue. I'm not 100% sure because I can't reproduce this problem on master or on 4.3.4 branch, but can with 4.2.6. So as caolan said potentially it is already fixed by his follow up patches. This patch I pushed is a general solution for all problems caused by that odt imported images are handled on a different way (as directly inserted ones for example). A similar problem what I found is that sometimes the thumbnail in the exported odt shows read error at the place of the images, but after opening the file it , images are there. In case of this thumbnail problem I could verify that the commit worked, so hopefully it can improve the situation here too. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
