https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=87151 Freischreiber <8...@gmx.net> changed: What|Removed |Added CC||8...@gmx.net --- Comment #8 from Freischreiber <8...@gmx.net> --- Hello, could confirm the bug. There seems to be a general problem with localisation settings in Base (this bug and the textvarchar bug with "0" instead of "@" in the format field), and in other applications (Writer, Calc), see these bug reports: https://www.libreoffice.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=30821 https://www.libreoffice.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=41044 https://www.libreoffice.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=84641 This bug here does not occur always, but when a base file is saved, closed and reopened several times, the chance is about 100% that all local formats of currency and date fields are forgotten. Perhaps the bug will never be reproducable on operating systems based on the english language. But it is yet important, just look at the Manifesto of The Document Foundation: "Manifesto Our values We commit ourselves: to support the preservation of mother tongues by encouraging all peoples to translate, document, support, and promote our office productivity tools in their mother tongue" Greetings Freischreiber -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

I've done my level best to bibisect/bisect the bugs and/or their fixes, but there are just too many intersecting issues affecting the one file to make it a practical use of time. Given that all the above will become moot when 4.4 is promoted to stable in January, and that I don't believe anyone else is going to make that effort within the next month either, on the balance of effort (waiting for a month versus spending days more effort tracking down a gaggle of bugs and their fixes) I think it's time to declare this done and move on. -> Removing Whiteboard: bibisectRequest, and adding notBibisectable and fixedInMaster -> Setting RESOLVED - WORKSFORME -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=87465 --- Comment #5 from pekka.koivum...@gmail.com --- Thank you for the answers. Now, when I updated to 4.3.5.2 it looks exactly like the same. The question, I think, is about the changed policy of Libreoffice's opening method. If I open a new writer document from LO's main page, writer then follows LO's initial values of size. Earlier, I think, there was a smaller, solid sized window that did'nt effect to LO's applications initials. So, from now on I start the apps straight from their thumbnails and the sizes are remembered, good! - only that I think the earlier method was even better. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 87485] New: Writer: embedded PNG results in slow scrolling
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=87485 Bug ID: 87485 Summary: Writer: embedded PNG results in slow scrolling Product: LibreOffice Version: 4.3.4.1 release Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64) OS: Linux (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Writer Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: h...@chemie.uni-leipzig.de Created attachment 111035 --> https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=111035&action=edit one of the PNG files that cause trouble Hello I haven't had the time (writing PhD keeps me too busy) to check this on other distributions, other parts of LibO or the MS Windows version; but I found that embedding certain PNG images in Writer slows down scrolling extremely. I also only tested this on a Kabini yet (Athlon 5350, amd64) with free driver stack (Gentoo, most of GPU related stuff / Kernel is latest ~amd64 tree). (Writer/LibO is 4.3.4.1., and I like to keep away from strange CFLAGs) I have video accel on and I thought graphics cache setting should be enough. Anyway, scrolling becomes unbearably slow - as everything else. htop however did not really show high CPU usage. As soon as the picture is off the visible screen things become better. However it is interesting that the "same" file as JPEG does not cause any noticeable slowdown. The PNG iirc does not use transparency. It happened to most PNGs I used yet. (some with additional graphics in kolourpaint, some made with a W32 program that we need to get the raw data on screen). Strangely a few directly from gnuplot are fairly okay. Could that be a matter of colour depth? Compression? Anyway, writer should be able to handle all images thrown at it or issue a warning if an image's compression violates good practises. :) Cheers and have a nice Christmas/holiday time PS: I added a PNG image as sample, maybe you are able to reproduce the problem with it. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

Happens on x86_32 and amd64. Don't know about other architectures. Seems to be OS independent. Draw some shape (e.g. segmented vector object). By default is has some colour filling and an outline (normally black). Now, if you want to change the outline (e.g. have no outline) it is not drawn until you force a redraw of the object by either moving it around or by selection one (or more) nodes and applying a shape (e.g. rounded) to them. This is somewhat annyoing. It also happens from time to time with the filling. E.g. apply a different colour and it just does not get updated until you force a redraw. Note that this redraw does not even happen when you switch to the next slide and back (still cached?). You have to move the object, deform it (node change/move) or even save, close, and reopen Impress. I do not remember when this happened first but that regression was introduced many versions before. I just thought it was a temporaray glitch. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

In our organization as a leading manufacturing unit we deal with lot of supplier details and invoices. Started migrating to Libre office we do have lot of old data to be looked up for reference, however when we try to do a vlookup either using function wizard or manual formula it throws an error 504(to note )) getting added at the end). Upon multiple trys when we save that as a new file and do a vlookup it works for one time again it reacts the same. Going crazy to find out what could be the reason. I am attaching the files and the screen shot. Any help is appreciated. Text inside a preset shape diagram imported from docx is rotated in the wrong direction. E.g., the attached document has a shape rotated by 90 degrees which contains text that is rotated by -90 degrees. The rotation of the text is relative to the containing shape, so the two rotations should cancel out and leave the text the right way up. However in Writer the text is upside down. The attached file contains only hand-crafted DrawingML so won't be usable in programs like Word that read SmartArt. However it can be opened in Google Docs and the text will be the right way up. I have a patch, I'll try to submit it some time using gerrit. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

Beta2 (RC2)!: If you open a document with tracked changes and the icon bar for changes is displayed and you click on the right arrow to find the first change (cursor is after opening at the beginning of the document) the first change is marked. In the icon bar the icons for accepting or refusing this change is enabled, not the icon for the comment. When you click on the right arrow icon again (the next change is marked) and on the left arrow to move to the first change again, now the comment icon is enabled and you can use it. The same disable/enable behaviour is seen in the menu Edit-Changes not only in the icon bar. Expectet behaviour: Even with the first move to the first change I want to give a comment on it, so even with the first step to the first change the comment icon / menu entry is enabled. Steps to reproduce the behaviour: 1. Open Writer and enable the change tracking icon bar. 2. Open the document I will provide here, it is with a few tracked changes 3. After opening the Cursor is located at the first position in the first page 4. click icon next change, the next changed line is selected 5. in the icon bar the accept and refuse icons are enabled, the comment icon not. 6. click next change, click last change 7. the comment icon is enabled. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

I had a document with a large table (around 20+ columns), and I wanted to properly set each one's width. With that many columns the design of the colums tab turns out to be very annoying, as it only shows 6 editable fields at a time. It would be great, if more editable fields could be added, once the user extends the size of the dialog box. I'll add a screenshot that demonstrates the look of that box on a dual-monitor workplace: much space wasted. If this proposal is impossible to fulfil, at least add buttons that shift all 6 fields to the left or right side. Currently, I can only shift them one by one. In the daily build of LibreOffice4.4Dev(en) downloaded on Dec 18, 2014, if C13 contains the number (not text) 24.09 then =MOD(C13,1)*100 does return 8.99 but displays it as 9 (regardless of cell width) and treats it as 9: in cell A1 enter the number 24.09 in cell B1 enter =MOD(A1,1)*100 (9 is displayed) in cell B2 enter =MOD(A1,1) (0.9 is displayed) highlight and copy range B1:B2 move to cell C1 paste special text/numbers/date & time in cell E1 enter the number 9 in cell E2 enter the number 0.09 in cell D1 enter =C1=$B1 copy cell D1 and paste it to cell D2 and to range F1:F2 in cell G1 enter =C1=E1 copy cell G1 and paste it to cell G2 Every cell in range F1:G2 displays TRUE, meaning that to LibreOffice Calc, 9 = 8.99 and 0.09 = 0.0899. This is not true, except for most practical purposes. In Excel, all the cells in range F1:G2 will show FALSE, which most people would expect. I do not know if this is causing bug 87386. It is as if Excel and LibreOffice are displaying the same number of decimal places in calculation results, but Excel is calculating to a larger number of decimal places and adjusting what it displays and uses in subsequent calculations to prevent problems due to the inherent inaccuracy of calculating real numbers digitally. I would be surprised if this problem depends on the OS version of LibreOffice used. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 63436] Support for ODF fields as written by KWord
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=63436 George Bateman changed: What|Removed |Added CC||george.batema...@gmail.com --- Comment #3 from George Bateman --- I cannot reproduce the bug on Ubuntu 14.04, 64-bit. Both files attached in the AOO report open fine on a freshly built copy of LO, and on my OS-supplied copy, "Version 4.2.7.2, Build ID 420m0(Build:2)". https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=82953 --- Comment #44 from Jan Jurkus --- > Installed 4.5.3 (Windows) and it still LOSES images (tested with file from > bug description). 4.5.3, wow! ;-) I can confirm it is indeed not fixed with 4.3.5: Version: 4.3.5.2 Build ID: 3a87456aaa6a95c63eea1c1b3201acedf0751bd5 However, could it be that the fix was not included in this version? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 87373] Kerning broken in 4.4b2
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=87373 --- Comment #3 from Iandol --- I'm sorry about the lack of OS information!!! This is OS X 10.10.1, with LO 4.4.0.0.beta2 Build ID: be92f32b8f21603a6b7a75dd645f7475bdee519d Locale: en_GB Pair kerning is turned on, and this is a new virgin dev install. I tried to rename my settings and still broken kerning. The broken kerning is more obvious using Times New Roman, but is broken using better designed fonts too... -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
