Hmm, hmm... that's dangerous news, as my guess about the Updater was predicated
on the (accidentally set) upgrade path from 4.4.0.1 -> 4.3.5.2 in the
server-side of the Updater.

AFAIK, there's no upgrade path yet set for 4.4.0.2 rc, so maybe there's an
underlying bug that *wasn't* fixed by 4.4.0.2?

(I TESTED with LO 4.4.0.2 + Ubuntu 14.04, but couldn't repro. There's no prompt
from the updater to update the build, but I waited a minute or so after I wrote
some text before I opened the Indexes and Tables dialog.)

can't respond to any request and so the ping.
When it happens, LibreOffice Calc on the windows clients have this annoying bug
when opening documents : they wait the IPP server online, and have a long
timeout when the server is not. I haven't notice this behaviour on LibreOffice

You can change the key binding in the customization dialog (tools > customize).
Switch to tab Keyboard, select Format from Category, select Increase
Font/Reduce Font in Function, choose the Shortcut in the upper list and apply
with Modify.
Unfortunately there is no key combination with ctrl+ available. But I
wouldn't use it anyway since less-then on a German keyboard means to press
shift+ctrl+>... and I'd have to unknot my fingers afterwards.

There are lots of commits in the bibisect range relating to border rendering,
but the most directly responsible are the three below.

Reasonably enough these have to do with preventing borders become invisible at
different zoom settings, so the code is essentially working as currently
designed, but given that it is already possible to set the line thickness so
that the border is 1px and dashed (correctly), perhaps it is still reasonable
to retain the dashing even when the line width is overridden to ensure
visibility?

Ensure that the pixel line is at least 1 pixel wide.

My request is in the title: "Please make it possible to add custom animations
to master slides", i.e. the same as your #60466. Comment #6 in your #57186
explains how solving the current bug will also fix that one.

Either we should mark this as wontfix, or else accept it as rfe, knowing that
it will probably never be implemented, given the complexity to implement it
(even if it is all possible), as indicated by Lionel.

For the moment, setting as rfe. Lionel, if you have other thoughts on the
matter, please correct as appropriate.

2015-01-16 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=88489

Bug ID: 88489
Summary: Highlight All in Find Bar
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 4.3.4.1 release
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: enhancement
  Priority: medium
 Component: Spreadsheet
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: hhielsc...@gmail.com

It would be nice to have an "Highlight" all button in the find bar that
highlights (or selects) all occurrences of the search string with a single
click, like in Firefox.
It should not open a new window like "Find all" does.

During creating of tests for bug 43534 (EDITING: CELL doesn't support external
references.) I found following errors in CELL function:

Steps to reproduce:
 - unzip attachment
 - open file fdo43534test.ods

Actual results (cells in red color):
cell C3 - external reference lead to DATE format, function returns " number
without thousands separator"
cell B6 - the same as C3 but local reference - DATE format, function returns "
All other formats"
cell E3 - external reference lead to CURRENCY format, function returns "number
without thousands separator"
cell G3 - for infotype “COORD” returns ERR504 in external references

Expected results
C3 returns D1
B6 returns D1
E3 returns C2- (as local reference in A6)
G3 returns $A:$A$3 (as local reference in C6)

Confirming on OSX 10.10.1

Version: 4.5.0.0.alpha0+
Build ID: a3e51e2706f37f4a7a3a3276d96fd4bcad7f5f7c
Locale: fr_

OK, so the problem is one of incorrect activation/higlighting (or inactivation)
of the record navigation arrow in the record navigation toolbar when navigating
the records in a grid control with the up/down keys of the keyboard.

1) Open the form of the attached ODB.

2) Click in the first cell of the first row of grid control

3) Now move down through each record with the keyboard "down arrow" key.

4) When you reach record 4, notice how the "end of record" button in the record
navigation toolbar gets greyed out. So far, this is the correct behaviour.

5) Moving the down arrow key once again moves the cursor to a new record, this
is also correct.

6) Now, move back up through the records with the "up arrow" key, until you
reach record 1. Notice how the record navigation toolbar still gives the
impression that it is possible to continue navigating back through previous
records as this is still highlighted, whereas it should be greyed out. Also
notice how the "move back to first record" button in the record navigation
toolbar is also still active, whereas it too, should also be greyed out.

Confirming.

My guess is that some of the IDs are no longer correctly bound since the
toolbar UI rework was done.

I still see the lumpy corners shown in the attached image on current 4.5
master. From bisecting source across the time period in question, the below
commit seems to me to be the most directly responsible. Despite its mention of
"cell grid", the effects of this were not Calc specific.

(In addition, changed Component to "graphics stack" - "Drawing" is clearly not
right, "Writer" might be better, but in fact this is about the interaction of
low-mid level graphics code (drawinglayer/) with several other modules
including Writer and Calc)

Could reproduce with 4.3.3 on Linux by clicking in the formula and then back to
the document (I installed Times New Roman first). The formulas shrunk
vertically a bit, the left one more than the right one.

No repro on other tested versions.

Something funny going on in Windows, definitely.

For me in LibO 4.4 rc2 and 4.5, exporting to PDF doesn't change anything, but
"Carmina Burana and Chichester Psalms" in the subheading and "Chichester
Psalms" after "Bernstein’s" are invisible upon opening.
This happens inconsistently, sometimes both are invisible, sometimes the other.

If I change the font of a problematic piece of text to something that is
available, close without saving and immediately reopen from the LibO start
center, three things might happen:
1. the text is visible and ok.
2. only the C of Chichester Psalms is visible and there is a mysterious extra
blank line before the sentence continues - no actual line-break is inserted,
though.
3. problematic words are invisible like from a fresh open

As this is apparently the earliest of a set of duplicate bugs, moving all
relevant discussion here.

The behaviour has changed several times without reaching a complete fix. As of
current 4.5 master, there is still a remaining issue that while text can be
inserted into a text field in a protected section, it cannot be deleted.

Title adjusted to suit.

(Investigation copied over from bug 84543)

The following commit is where the behaviour appears to have changed most
recently, which is probably the one that is significant in this instance.

Openoffice 4.1.1 (Aug 13 2014) allows both the adding and deleting of text
within the input fields, so possibly this was mis-merged, or there was a
follow-up fix which hasn't yet been applied

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 88309] Standardize, cleanup, and improve Assertions

2015-01-16 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=88309

Your quick grep missed the SAL_WARN_IF, OSL_ASSERT, OSL_ENSURE and OSL_FAIL
"assertions"... Also, many instances of calls to SAL_WARN are probably actually
done for what is essentially an "assertion". And I am sure there are also plain
calls to printf that are part of an "assertion".

Anyway, what I wanted to say was that if we haven't yet even got rid of the
OSL_ENSUREs, that we declared to be deprecated in November 2011, why do you
want to introduce a completely new way to do assertions? ;)

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 88291] Part of Calc cell contents initially not displayed

2015-01-16 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=88291

I can reproduce this bug with 4.4.0.2 RC on OS/X 10.10.1

Another example:
A1 - 1000
A2 - = A1 / 1,19

-> displays 0,33613445
-> correct: 840,3361344538

Note that the cell content gets rendered correctly once the column width is
modified.

When I _first_ change the column width from its default in a new, blank
spreadsheet, the bug does not occur.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 82871] EDITING: text rendering not refreshed on undo with active third party tiling manager

2015-01-16 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=82871

Unfortunately, I'm not going to be instaling some random third party
application that affects window management in my system. We don't state that we
support 3rd party software that affects system behaviour, so this is unlilely
to get fixed, unless accidentally. It is already a hard enough job for the
developers to try and keep up with Apple's own API which changes every version.

I'm inclined to set this to WONTFIX or NOTOURBUG

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 76999] TABLE: Tables don't stay on page properly

2015-01-16 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=76999

I was able to fix the example as follow (LO 4.2.7.2 on Linux):
-Selecting the full table (with column selection),
-using ctrl-M for removing the direct formating on the selection,
-give to the full table the style Table Contents
-opening F11 Styles,
- editing the style Table Contents for changing the font to 8pt
- editing the style Table Contents for changing the font to Bold
-F11 stays open, select the first row (is the table Header), give the style
Table Heading
Text was fixed directly, without firs save-close-reopen.
No other change

BTW, I would suggest to mark this bug critical, as it might lead to severe

The selection borders look nice and thick to me (Ubuntu 14.04, lxde), and have
done going back to at least LibreOffice 4.0. I don't see anything like what
happens in the attached image.

Could you describe what distribution/desktop you're using and if there's
anything special about how it's set up? Thanks

The bug I reported is about row numbers (to the left of the spreadsheet proper)
getting corrupted. Note that row 1 is properly marked, as is row 2 (which is
highlighted), but below that things aren't right.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 88496] New: LibreOffice does handles Header Tables in unpredictable way in specific conditions; different from MSWord

2015-01-16 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=88496

Bug ID: 88496
Summary: LibreOffice does handles Header Tables in
unpredictable way in specific conditions; different
from MSWord
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 4.3.5.2 release
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: major
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: diego.mania...@gmail.com

Created attachment 112346
  --> https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=112346&action=edit
Example of described problem in 3 steps; output in .PDF for fast comparision

LibreOffice does handles Header Tables in unpredictable way in specific
conditions
Test bed: LibreOffice 4.3.5.2 under Win7 – Word 2007 SP3
  Libreoffice 4.2.7.2 under xUbuntu Linux

Description:
Table defined with header-rows longer than a page in two variants:
- Header N rows long on a table with M rows
- Header spans the full table

Problem:
as soon as the contents of Header-rows make them not fit in the bottom-free
page space, the table begin is pushed on a new page;
as soon as the contents of Header-rows make them not fit in the page space,
part of the header and the following table-rows disappear under page-bottom.
In the example below a 20-rows table with 10-rows header was defined, contents
of first 10 rows was made higher of bottom-free page space.

As a comparision, text was saved in docx format and opened with Word 2007 SP3.
This program react different: as soon as the header-rows does not fit anymore
in the bottom-free page space, the header definition is preserved but
neglected, and presentation is done as the table has been defined with 0-rows
header.

Even more: if .odt version is opened with Word 2007, program complains “
The file cannot be openend because there are problems with the
contents. The file is corrupted and cannot be opened”, propose to recover it,
if OK is pressed contens as from .DOCX is shown up.

Three steps are presented:
1 has no header table defined
2 has 10-rows header table defined, but made such that header fits in the 1st
page free space
3 has 10-rows header table defined, but made such that header dose not fit in a
page space
