[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 36310] [EDITING]"Insert cross-reference" drag-n-drop mode for navigator
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=36310 --- Comment #6 from Adam Tauno Williams --- Version: 4.3.6.2 Build ID: 430m0(Build:2) Somewhat related, possibly related to overall fix - the drop down in the Naviator of documents to display does not 'refresh' when a new document is opened. The new document will appear in the Window drop down menu of each open document but the Navigator selector for open documents does not update. The drag mode option selected for a references does stick when changed between link/copy/insert but the drag action appears to be disabled. Without drag-n-drop even a right-click->copy so the reference could be copied and pasted into the current document would be great. Honestly that would be smoother to use than an actual drag-n-drop. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=90534 Bug ID: 90534 Summary: Pleading Lines don't work Product: LibreOffice Version: 4.3.1.2 release Hardware: Other OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: enhancement Priority: medium Component: LibreOffice Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: st...@eff.org Created attachment 114701 --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=114701&action=edit Sample Word Pleading Hello, Robinson came to EFF a while ago now and suggested I open a ticket to see if you can make court pleadings work correctly in LibreOffice. The court requires documents to have the numbers 1-28 and then two vertical lines on the left margin and 1 vertical line on the right margin. (Word puts these in the header.) You also have to have a line at the bottom of the page and then some text below that horizontal line. (Word puts this in the footer.) Finally, the court requires us to email Word versions of all proposed orders, so even if you could create a beautiful pleading in LibreOffice, you would have to be able to convert it to Word seamlessly. Attached is a sample pleading of a publicly filed document. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions. Also, Robinson had asked me to cc him on this ticket but I don't see how to do that. In previous versions, it was possible (for example) to enter 30 for an animation speed in the second tab. It worked and that animation lasted 30 seconds. Now we can only set up 5 animation speeds, so we can't create a chronometer (in a diapo) inside LibreOffice Impress. Note that the ODF format supports entirely custom duration (in seconds) for animations. Since 4.2, in the same tab of the effect options box, we cannot set a custom number of repetitions for an animation (like 6 or 8 for example). https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=90528 Bug ID: 90528 Summary: Loading LaTeX document yields misleading (debug) output Product: LibreOffice Version: 4.3.5.2 release Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64) OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Writer Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: jens.troe...@light-speed.de The following can be reproduced on Mac and Linux, with LO 4.3.5.2 and 4.4.2 (official website downloads), by loading a LaTeX document. I used this one: http://www.math.duke.edu/computing/tex/templates/samplefile.tex ~ > /Volumes/LibreOffice/LibreOffice.app/Contents/MacOS/soffice :1: parser error : Document is empty \documentclass{article} ^ Just load the .tex file into Writer and the output is being dumped to the terminal. Modern design language avoids borders wherever > possible so for quite a lot of people it would cause a lot of unnecessary > work. Yes display-only clues similar to when we still see the cell borders of a table when the borders are turned off would assist to know where its borders are when editing, but wouldnt help when a document is printed. (In reply to V Stuart Foote from comment #2) > As with any other graphic, insertion into a document should depend on the > styling used in the document, and preferably not as picked-up from layout of > the graphic/image. Defaulting the Chart OLE to show a border--when it is not > otherwise needed becomes a nuisance to efficient layout. Charts in Calc do not have styles and when a user wants to place a border around a chart, he wouldnt be placing it around the OLE, he would be doing it around the chart, similar to him changing the background color of the chart. > Otherwise, as with having to externally edit other graphic/image types, you > would have to reenter the OLE Chart object and turn the border off. This is no different than a person who wants it on, to have to insert the chart, reenter the chart and turn the border on. (In reply to Adolfo Jayme from comment #4) > I disagree as well.
