haha, now than i know the workaround, i guess it is more a usability problem.
but a big enough one to make me search for a solution and a bug tracker.

just as an additional note, microsoft designed the regional settings quite well
i find, an old screenshot here:
http://www.helixtech.com.au/languagesettings.htm . they do not mix language and
number formatting. the region is important only important for the defaults,
like keyboard, number format, date format, time format, language. at the end of
the day, most regional settings seem to glue on the region, except the language
and the keyboard seems to more glue on a person. maybe because it is most
difficult to learn when a person moves from one region to another.

I'm noticing in Calc and Writer that the Paste action is not disabled while the
clipboard is empty. Also in Calc the actions Cut and Copy are active if the
input line has the focus without selecting anything. Maybe other parts of
LibreOffice are affected too but I haven't tested them.

Do you have the "KDE backend" libkdebe1lo.so installed as part of LO?  If not,
that explains why LO's "E-mail program" option is not automatically filled in. 
If yes, you need to debug into the

  if ( id == "ExternalMailer" ) {

branch of getValue() in shell/source/backends/kdebe/kdeaccess.cxx to find out
why reading that value from KDE does not work for you in LO.

(So when you are on KDE, it is kind of structurally the wrong thing anyway to
try and use GNOME's gconftool-2 to obtain a KDE setting's value.)

Whoa - didn't think that this one was ever working but I found that for a very
short period of time it did. This is thus a regression.


@Burak - if you're using LibreOffice in a professional environment I highly
recommend getting paid support. Else you'll have to wait until someone chooses
to fix this (might be fast, might take months)

oox: import WPS shape with text as shape with textbox

This allows having real shapes (like having rounded corners) and
complex
content (like containing a table) at the same time.

WPS shapes are wrappers around drawingML markup in DOCX files, so this
only affects the DOCX import.

Now as we requested step by step:

less.

After restart Libreoffice program menus appeared in the Mate application menu;
however, Libroffice lost several file associations, for instance associations
with desktop links to .ods documents, as well as icons in desktop links were

The behaviour of the issue is different in earlier releases, but I can't see it
occur at all in OOo 3.3.0, and the macro already causes strange things to
happen by LO 3.5 (variously, crashing or causing odd behaviour when editing
cells), so let's call this a pre-bibisect regression.

As we now have a reproducer that isn't dependent on the unrelated JS issue,
demoting bug 91092 from "Depends on" to "See Also"

Oh I see now - 

Confirmed on:
Ubuntu 15.04 x 64
LibreOffice 4.4.2.2 release
LibreOffice 3.3 is good so it's a regression

Marking as:
New - confirmed
Trivial - no impact really on professional quality work
Low - bumped because it's a regression

Probably easy to fix so requesting input from devs.

I agree I could have chosen a more straightforward way to set the context;
there is no attached OTD document to look at, just the wiki page itself.

I'll rephrase more simply:

"In the Styles and Formatting window, when selecting the Hierarchical group, I
expect sibling styles to be sorted alphabetically."

The history of this appears to be that: Running the script initially broke at
(1), but with a somewhat different error to the present one; the JS script in
the document became inaccessible altogether shortly after at (2), which was
then fixed at (3), making the script visible again but still not allowing it to
be run successfully.

Three steps showing problem.

See attached image.  I create the presentation and everything is fine.  NO
problems.  I save the presentation and return later to continue work or to make
an edit.  Open the presentation and all text is blocked in white.  I click on
the text to be edited and it appears.  Once focus is lost the text appears as a
block of white again.

I removed and reinstalled libreoffice to reset the settings. The text is auto
formatted. The image was added to a master template as was the text in the
footer, that is not impacted.  If I change the background image on the master
slide the text will appear again, but the style information will be lost.

If I change to a dark background color the same thing occurs.  If I go to a
light background or simply the default format when creating a new presentation
everything appears to be ok.  It seems related to a dark background and the
auto settings.  

I am running Ubuntu 15.04 using the Ambiance theme. I was running a dark theme
but changed to Ambiance to see if Gnome settings had anything to do with it. It
made no difference. I have used a dark image background before and have had no
difficulties.  This first appeared yesterday but I have not been changing
presentations for about a month or two. I do regular updates with Ubuntu so the
verion of Libreoffice should be current.  

I even downloaded openoffice 4.1.1-6 to give it a try.  It shows the text but
the color contrast is too low.  It appears though. Don't know if that helps. If
I change the font color in LibreOffice it does not make any impact.

There is a frame anchored to a paragraph in the header.  The frame runs down
the right side of the page.  It is used for a border that lines up with the
tables so that text outside of the tables has a border.

Reproduced thusly:
1. Place cursor in Tabla1:D14.
2. Press Formula on toolbar.
3. Click in B14 (two columns over).
4. Type "*".
5. Click in C14.
Result:
It is at this point that the cell stretchs and the page count increases. 
Escape.
6. Double click on frame or select Marco2 in Navigator and Delete.
7. Repeat steps 1 through 5.
Result:
Loopy no more.

Unchecking AutoSize of the Height of the frame didn't help.

Something interesting is if you change the wrap of the frame to None then it
goes into a loop of adding pages.

Can you try it with the window maximized with the different styles--Paragraph,
Character, Frame, Page, and List.  You should see that Paragraph is the only
one that opens upwards when there is a toolbar at the bottom.

LO 4.4.2.2, WinXP  - no problems with cut/copy and paste frames or with
changing the anchor.  But when a paste is "undone" (i.e., Ctrl-Z), then the
cursor jumps to the top of the file (as reported in the original bug).

With LibreOffice 4.4.2.2 running on Vista, I see the behaviour which
Gordo reports.  

However the lists seem to me to open in the correct directions: as I
extend the Writer window down to successively lower positions on the
desktop the long list (categories of paragraph styles) opens downwards
and then upwards and then the short list (categories of character
styles) opens downwards and then upwards.  I have tried to capture the
screenshots so that each change from open-downwards to open-upwards is
triggered by a small change in the position of the bottom edge of the
writer window.

Am I misunderstanding something?

Your patch indeed is fixing my issue, when I improved it. I added comments to
that gerrit link.

In my case that user has:
$ gconftool-2 --get /desktop/gnome/url-handlers/mailto/command | cut -d ' ' -f
1
/usr/bin/thunderbird

So I need to remove the full path name to have the compare working.

In our case we use KDE, and thunderbird is configured in the KDE panel as
default mail client using the line /usr/bin/thunderbird -compse ...
and there is no program specified manually in libreoffice options.
So we get an empty MAILER variable. and thus use your additional code, but as
the full path name was given in the KDE config box, we need to remove it here.

oooh - it is coupled to the language? this would work but i find this a poor
workaround. eg in switzerland we have 4 languages + english is used in many
offices, but the separators are coupled to the region not to the language used.
i use the language setting to have text correction. i'd prefer to set english
and swiss number formatting to the calc file to format every cell separate.

I wrote that I installed EVERYTHING YaST showed me by looking for unixodbc,
EVERYTHING. I just would like to know of the lot of packages for what the might
be a help, if there is.
Someone told me about a German documentation. I'll have a look through it.
My English is not too bad but with too much technical expressions I run out of
understanding.
