https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=91183 --- Comment #5 from Jeehyun jeeh...@mailbox.org --- I don't want to hide it because I write hundreds of pages of document now. Various styles formatting is needed. I just want small styles formatting pane beside main editing window. I cannot understand why this pane is not available. I can shrink that size and float it so I can select styles easily. Sidebar has strange 4 icons and I cannot have much room to shrink it. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 73919] Language choice switches from English english to American English
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=73919 --- Comment #11 from brendel bren...@nancy.inra.fr --- Ok, I will try again. Actually I realised that the problem is not in the language information in the bottom status bar, but in the language selection given in the menu when choosing the language for selection / paragraph or texte : when I open a new document I get as language selection options German(German) / French (French) probably because I have a French system and a German keyboard Once I have written 5 lines of text in English I get the language choices (for selection / paragraphe and text) of German(German) / English( American) / French (French) As I want the correction British and not American English I chose language for text, click on Other and chose English(British) After having done this I get the language choices (for selection / paragraphe and text) of German(German) / English( British) / English( American) / French (French) I save the text, close Libreoffice, open it again. And I get the same thing !! that is before writing text I get German and French as choice, after having written some lines in English I get additionally English (American) . so I have to find again English(British). However I guess this is rather an improvement than a bug : I think the last chosen language should be retained. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 91215] New: LibO 4.4 - cropping tool regressions in draw/impress
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=91215 Bug ID: 91215 Summary: LibO 4.4 - cropping tool regressions in draw/impress Product: LibreOffice Version: 4.4.2.2 release Hardware: All OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Draw Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: sergio.calleg...@gmail.com Recent LibO has a cropping tool in the draw/impress components that shows some issues and misses some features. Specifically: 1) The graphical cropping tool lets one select and move handles to adjust a rectangle around the part of the image that is to be kept, while all that is external to the rectangle is cropped. Unfortunately, when pulling the handles, the rectangle adjusts in a way that is inconsistent with the final result. For instance, if you lower the top handle, instead of having just the top side of the rectangle moving down, all the sides of the rectangle move (apparently keeping the form factor). Then, when you release the handle you finally discover that just the top side was adjusted. 2) Looks like it is not possible in any way to manually enter or check the cropping values. Historically, LibO/OO had this ability, so we have a regression. Incidentally, the ability to always inspect/adjust all the numerical quantities affecting the drawing has so far been a precious feature of LibO, setting above other commercial competitors. This ability is important in some cases. For instance: assume that you need to import two graphs and that they have to be cropped in identical ways on top, otherwise you loose consistency. With the current LibO you need to edit them in an external tool to be sure of the result. With previous versions of LibO you could visually crop one graph and then numerically enter the same top crop info in the second. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=91207 --- Comment #2 from Martin kermit.sa...@gmail.com --- Hi JB, Since styles don't work reliably in 4.4.3.2 I have switched to LO5alpha1. The bespoke issues are still present. ie: Paragraph indent setting changes are not propagated correctly with corresponding style they seem to be part of direct formatting. The same is true for numbered and bulleted lists and possibly others. (I personally think ALL paragraph settings except direct formatting should be part of the style.) Furthermore, applying new paragraph indent settings to style with autoupdate enabled propagates correctly to paragraph with same style but NOT to the style selected. See test case: Select first header 1 style in document. Right click mouse open paragraph window, change indent settings. SECOND header 1 paragraph is changed correctly FIRST header 1 style is NOT changed. As a result style handling gets messed up and becomes useless... [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 91214] Calc: Crash on exit
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=91214 --- Comment #8 from helplibreoff...@mailcatch.com --- Still interested in the answer to question in comment #7 above, but for now must stop all testing. So here's the report of what I've worked on; hopefully it will help others: Can get LO Calc to crash when exiting on multiple Win 7 SP1 64-bit systems. As soon as it looks like it is reproducible on every system, it will suddenly stop crashing (when starting the testing with a new profile). This suggests one of 3 possibilities off the top of my head: 1) Self-healing: something breaks, but it fixes itself by design 2) Timing is critical: small differences in timing of operations may cause different results 3) Conflict: another process is preventing LO to work as designed Current guess: Now, this is just a guess, but I'm thinking that an Antivirus program is sometimes interfering with LO writing its profile files, thus causing frequent profile corruption. I noticed that every system with the problem was running Avast Antivirus 2015.10.2.2218 (their current release as of this post). This could be a coincidence, I'm not sure. Often, when LO Calc was running (and after it exited), Avast was performing a large number of real-time scans of LO files. At this time, it appears that repeating identical procedures results in different outcomes. Sometimes LO Calc works as expected, and sometimes it crashes. But once it gets into crash mode, the crashes seem to be easily reproducible. I haven't had enough time to determine what causes LO to get into crash mode, and I must now switch tasks. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 91222] New: VclBuilder constructor cleanup ...
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=91222 Bug ID: 91222 Summary: VclBuilder constructor cleanup ... Product: LibreOffice Version: unspecified Hardware: Other OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: graphics stack Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: michael.me...@collabora.com The VclBuilder code has a set of nice public symbols, one for each custom method that can be looked up by the relevant code to create those widgets (cf. vcl/source/window/builder.cxx). These are all declared by macros eg. VCL_BUILDER_FACTORY(FooType) checkout include/vcl/builderfactory.hxx But some of these constructor functions are over-complex and we can only partially macro-ise those eg. VCL_BUILDER_DECL_FACTORY(SwCaptionPreview) { WinBits nBits = 0; OString sBorder = VclBuilder::extractCustomProperty(rMap); if (!sBorder.isEmpty()) nBits |= WB_BORDER; return VclPtrSwCaptionPreview::Create(pParent, nBits); } It would be great to go over these instances and move these pieces into a SwCaptionPreview constructor that takes a (VclBuilder::stringmap rMap) parameter - meaning we can shrink the above to a new macro: VCL_BUILDER_FACTORY_CONSTRUCTOR(SwCaptionPreview) or something =) that is unless Caolan disagrees (?)
