[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 91299] New: [PRINTING]/[PDF]: Use normal dates (instead of relative) in comments
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=91299 Bug ID: 91299 Summary: [PRINTING]/[PDF]: Use normal dates (instead of relative) in comments Product: LibreOffice Version: unspecified Hardware: Other OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: enhancement Priority: low Component: Writer Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: mikekagan...@hotmail.com Created attachment 115616 --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=115616&action=edit PDF with comment with unclear date When printing document with comments, recent comments dates are printed as "Today, 16:37" instead of, e.g., "15/05/2015 16:37". This is OK when viewing (although not necessary), but undesirable in printed/exported static documents, because it's unclear what is the real date of the comment, when the document is reviewed later. Steps to reproduce: 1. Create a new text document 2. Put a comment (Ctrl+Alt+C) with some text 3. Note that comment date looks like "Today, 16:37" 4. Print with comments (Ctrl+P->General tab->Comments->Place in margins) Desired result: the printout should contain comment with date tag like "15/05/2015 16:37" Actual result: the printout contains comment with date tag like "Today, 16:37" Proposal is to either adjust printing/export to use normal dates, or remove relative dates from comments at all, including viewing. I suppose the last would be easier (and not harmful). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

The same file saved as .doc works as expected. Steps to Reproduce: 1. In Word create a blank doc 2. In the header Check "Different First Page" 3. In the header Check "Different Odd & Even Pages" 4. Save as DOCX 5. Save as DOC 6. Open the files in Writer 7. Compare Settings in Header->Format Header 8. Compare results of toggling settings The .doc file correctly sets "Same Content on Left/Right" and "Same Content on First Page". The .doc file also behaves correctly when you toggle these settings. For example, check "Same Content on First Page" and the text "Different" becomes "Odd1". All of this is broken in the .docx file. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 90950] Default download locale from Australia (and presumably NZ) is US, when should be GB.
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=90950 --- Comment #2 from mam...@rocketmail.com --- Sorry I've been away so only just got to this, but I'd like to make some more comments. I opened a stock instance of Chrome, I go to libreoffice.org and click the big download button on that page. It starts to download: http://ftp-srv2.kddilabs.jp/office/tdf/libreoffice/stable/4.4.3/win/x86/LibreOffice_4.4.3_Win_x86.msi Also the default Help pack link is: http://ftp-srv2.kddilabs.jp/office/tdf/libreoffice/stable/4.4.3/win/x86/LibreOffice_4.4.3_Win_x86_helppack_en-US.msi Clearly showing it's en-US for the Help pack. I installed on a fresh computer with Typical settings, then opened Writer and wrote some words with British English spelling "armour, colour, licence, penalise" etc. That all works, and About Libreoffice shows an AU locale, as is set in all places in windows 7. However, it's still an issue for the Help files, but that seems to be written about here: https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=39325 So, the helppack at least is being downloaded incorrectly. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=91214 --- Comment #15 from d_rabinow...@hotmail.com --- I originally reported bug 90873 , but could not give out the ss that caused it. I have the following to add: The bug still exists in LO 4.4.3.2. (I first discovered it in 4.4.2.2) I can reproduce it on Windows 8.1 using essentially the same method as comment 3 (just no new profile; I open calc directly from a shortcut on my desktop to the binary): Open calc type "asdfg" into cell A1 down arrow to A2 up arrow to A1 control+C down arrow to A2 control+V click the red "X" in top right hand corner to exit click on "Don't Save" I am also using Avast Antivirus 2015.10.2.2218 This is starting to look suspicious If I wait a while (5 to 10 minutes) between saving and closing the original ss it doesn't crash. Using the above and waiting between discarding the ss and closing calc also does not crash. It seems pretty certain this is the same bug as 90873, but this is far easier to reproduce -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 91214] Calc: Crash on exit
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=91214 helplibreoff...@mailcatch.com changed: What|Removed |Added Priority|medium |high Severity|major |critical --- Comment #14 from helplibreoff...@mailcatch.com --- When I follow the flowchart, here's what I get: START -> Does the bug cause crash...? -> YES -> Does this bug happen very frequently on clean install/install attempt? -> NO -> Critical -> Does bug involve major component affecting most users? -> YES (Calc) -> HIGHEST. Currently, I have the crash set at MEDIUM/MAJOR. According to the flowchart, I didn't set it with enough importance. Although the flowchart recommends HIGHEST/CRITICAL, I think it is a little better at only HIGH/CRITICAL because it requires closing a new sidebar that is now enabled by default on a clean install. Not an uncommon task, but may not affect users who leave it on (I haven't debugged the source code to determine what is actually causing the crash, nor will I be taking on that task). I'll set it to the lower end of what the chart recommends, and if the chart needs to be changed or clarified, we can change the chart. I should note that the simple steps I generated to reproduce the crash are not the only ways to reproduce it. I discovered the crash during evaluative testing for a client, and worked backwards to determine a simple way to reproduce it (not a trivial task). Unfortunately, LibreOffice failed the client's evaluation, and they have moved on to evaluate another office suite. This satisfies the "Does the bug reflect poorly on LibreOffice to the community" criteria specified in the flowchart. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=91291 Bug ID: 91291 Summary: EDITING: Crash when moving rtl text with footnote with continuation onto the next page Product: LibreOffice Version: 4.4.3.2 rc Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64) OS: Windows (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Writer Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: gordon1dr...@yahoo.com Created attachment 115605 --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=115605&action=edit test document and backtrace I am not familiar with rtl setup so I do not know if this is how it is actually used. 1. New Text Document. 2. Tools → Options → Language Settings → Languages → Default Languages for Documents → check “Complex text layout” and select “Persian” from drop-down and check “For the current document only” and OK. 3. Ctrl + Shift + D or Ctrl + Right Shift to change to Right to Left entry. 4. Format Page → Footnote tab, toggle Footnote Area to “Maximum footnote height” and 2 cm and OK. 5. Tools → Footnotes/Endnotes → Footnotes tab → Continuation Notice, type “...” in start and end and OK. 6. Enter enough paragraphs so that cursor is near the end of the page but with enough room for a footnote. 7. Type “test”. 8. Insert → Footnote/Endnote and OK default. 9. With cursor in footnote, Ctrl + Shift + D or Ctrl + Right Shift to change to Right to Left entry. 10. Type enough text so that the footnote continues onto the next page. And give it an extra Enter for good measure. Note: The continuation number is shown twice on the second page which is another bug. 11. Place cursor on first page in a paragraph before “test” and Enter until “test” moves onto the next page. Result: Crash. After opening LO, you may need to uncheck Tools → Options → Language Settings → Languages → Default Languages for Documents → Complex text layout.
