[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 90452] Breeze icons poorly visible in Start Center

2015-05-29 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=90452

--- Comment #20 from Pedro  ---
(In reply to andreas_k from comment #18)
> If the new Branding is green than I'd prefer white icons (breeze dark icon
> color). But my wish would be to use the color of the menue bar (gray in this
> example) for the side bar background, than I can use the colored icons.

I think this is missing the whole point of an icon. The icon is supposed to be
a unique image that you can easily associate with the task you want to perform.

If all icons use the same colour and they are similar then you need to read the
icon label which makes the icons useless.

Why is it not possible to use the beautiful icons created specifically for
LibreOffice?
https://kdeonlinux.wordpress.com/2015/03/25/breeze-love-libre-office/

If this is not possible then I think the theme should use the default icons for
the Start Center.

> Spoke with moggi and he said this is a formula parsing problem.

> The work around is to go into Tools > Options > Calc > Formula and change

Unfortunately this does not work as intended as the following will highlight:
1. In cell A2 enter the formula: =SUM(B:B)
2. Delete row 4
3. The formula in cell A2 is now incorrectly: =SUM(B$1:B$1048575)

Subsequently, this fix is required to have feature parity with other office
software solutions available.

Confirming that the wider "python" line stroke extends outside the clipPath
when SVG image is inserted into writer or draw. However, the "matlab" line with
width not set does not.

The SVG seems correctly formed, with the element setting the mask
contained within a segment, the id is defined only once and is applied
to the two line  paths.

Guess there could be an LO issue in determining overlap of clip for the
"python" line width of 7

way to correct it. It happens with all the background types - color, hatching,
gradient and bitmap.

* The issue seems to lie with the document itself because copy/pasting any of
the objects into a new document "fixes" the problem, and copying a good object
into the problem document re-introduces the issue.

I raised Ask Question 51080 but have had no solutions, so I'm wondering if this
is perhaps a bug? It's happened with at least a couple of Draw documents. Of
course I may be missing some setting or other technique to fix?

Just spotted Bug 88295 which seems to be the same thing happening with Impress.

A sample of my good and bad Draw documents is attached.

Using LO 4.4.2.2 with Win 7.

If the new Branding is green than I'd prefer white icons (breeze dark icon
color). But my wish would be to use the color of the menue bar (gray in this
example) for the side bar background, than I can use the colored icons.

Hello,

In my case (Win7/x64), the bug appears since 4.3.7.1.
The Calc example attached works fine until 4.3.6.2.
Still doesn't work in 5.0.0.0.beta1 (Build ID:
0a16c3dda4150008d9be6f24cbd15ac198d116d3 / Locale : fr-FR)

I didn't note down the build numbers for 4.3.7.1 and 4.3.6.2. I can do it
if needed.

Regards,

Bug ID: 91732
   Summary: FILEOPEN: Doc layered objects mis-formatting
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 4.4.3.2 rc
  Hardware: Other
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium

DOC with renders poorly

Text is forced below graphics in a document with graphics and text overlayed: -
(attached)
http://www.bridgend.gov.uk/web/groups/public/documents/marketing/022769.doc

I don't have a personal copy of Microsoft Office, so I can't test how the
document should render or behave, such as whether the 'tick-boxes' should be
interactive.

However, if they should, resolution of this bug may partly depend upon Bug
91384.

Expected behaviour:
Document renders consistently across all pages, with graphics and text
overlaid.

Actual behaviour:
Page 1 renders graphics, with text being forced onto a second page.
Page 4 renders disjointedly, particularly the "Professional Membership" boxes.
Pages 6-9 render the tick-boxes mis-aligned or behind text-boxes.
Pages 8-9 mis-aligned section titles.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 91730] New: footnote entry with keyboard absent

2015-05-29 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=91730

Bug ID: 91730
   Summary: footnote entry with keyboard absent
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 4.3.7.2 rc
  Hardware: Other
OS: Mac OS X (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: critical
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: r...@impulse.net

Formatting
There is no keyboard shortcut for generating footnotes. One has to stop, grab
the mouse, go up to Insert, go down to footnote/endnote and then click to get
the window to open and then, yet more, click to create the space for the
footnote in the document. Very tedious and unnecessary. I used Open Office for
many years on my laptop with XP. It had a keyboard method for inserting
footnotes that was easy to use. I now have a Mac.

I write many documents that are heavily footnoted, sometimes in the hundreds.
Having to stop and peck with the mouse rather than zip zip on the keyboard to
create a footnote is a major inconvenience.

Thank you

Bless Your Heart,
Robert

2015-05-29 Thread bugzilla-daemon

--- Comment #1 from Francisco  ---
Additional comments:

A) Both charts were created in Calc, and then pasted into Writer.

B) Saving the file as FODT shows the following strings in the file:

For the first chart (titled 313 K):

  sdfaksdjjfnaskdljfna .d 313.15 K Li (1981)

sdfaksdjjfnaskdljfna .d

313.15 K

Li (1981)

For the second chart (titled 353 K)

  n-Hexane 313.15 K Li (1981)

n-Hexane

313.15 K

Li (1981)

Erasing the content of "" of both charts seems to solve the problem.

ODT file with problematic chart

This is one of the weirdest bugs I've found.

I simply can't update the name of a series in a chart inserted in Writer. I'm
attaching the problematic file.

Steps:
1) Open the attached ODT file.
2) Activate the first chart (titled 313 K).
3) Enter into edit data mode through "Right click" -> "Data table".
4) Try to modify the name of the last series (the blue one)

Result:
The final name of the series always ends with "313.15 K Li (1981)", no matter
what.

Expected:
Any component of a series should be modifiable.

Additional comments:
I've tested the following LibO versions, under Kubunu 14.04, x86_64:
3.5.7
4.3.7
4.4.3
5.0.0b1

--- Comment #2 from Dave Richards  ---
Added Michael Meeks per his IRC request.

I have a bit more information. This is happening on 5.0 snapshot from 5-27. I
installed the snapshot from 5-29 on another server and performed the same test
and it's doing the same thing. So it's multiple users, happens with .config
folder completely wiped.

This is being tested over NX technology, similar to remote X but with
compression. Most similar technology to this would be VNC. Maybe it's not
seen when the video card is local.

I still feel that whatever is happening is easily fixed because the LO native
dialog works perfectly and does not leave artifacts.

I can maybe bibisect if not replicated or seen elsewhere.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 91728] New: Impress crashes when selecting outside/inside the frames

2015-05-29 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=91728

Bug ID: 91728
   Summary: Impress crashes when selecting outside/inside the
frames
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.0.0.0.beta1
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Keywords: regression
  Severity: major
  Priority: high
 Component: Impress
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: plokk...@fastmail.fm

Steps to reproduce:

1) Insert table, any columns/rows will do.
2) Click 'OK'
3) Click outside the frames.
4) Click on the frames.
5) Crash.

Tested with v5.0.0.0 b1 on ubuntu 14.04 x64 and mint 17.1 x64.
Already tried a clean profile, still the same, crash.

Doesn't happen on v4.4.3.2 and below, so regression. Also doesn't happen with
other components.

> Look for something like "View update history" in the Control Panel under

Thank you very much for this hint Gordo !

There is no field "Windows Updates" under "Systemsteuerung".
I can use "Systemsteuerung" "Software" "updates anzeigen" to see updates.

The last KB updates that I installed were from 2012. No such after that date.
There is no KB3013455 here. This seems to be a "February 2015 update" not
intended for use with my WinXP. So it should not be the cause for this trouble.

> If that is not the problem then you can always try 4.4.3.2.

I can have a try.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 91727] New: Linux OS File Picker Blocks Canvas Repaints

2015-05-29 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=91727

Bug ID: 91727
   Summary: Linux OS File Picker Blocks Canvas Repaints
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.0.0.0.beta1
  Hardware: Other
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: graphics stack
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: drich...@largo.com

Created attachment 116145
  --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=116145&action=edit
Move the file picker around and the canvas does not repaint.

Using 5.0 on Linux and using the native OS picker, if you do a file > open,
it's not firing in a new thread and the canvas in the background is blocked
from repaints as the dialog is moved around.

If you configure LO to use the native file picker, this symptom is not seen and
the dialog can be moved and the canvas repaints. So in some way these two
dialogs are being fired differently.

This leads users to think LO has deadlocked.

Attaching screenshot.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 91228] Writer crash Insert Image, Anchor as character, Go after image, press enter

2015-05-29 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=91228

--- Comment #4 from Philippe Jung  ---
Taking a writer doc with just an image anchored as character, the GetDoc Nodes
are:
 count=14
 rNodes[0]=0x2943c90
 rNodes[1]=0x296c2a0
 rNodes[2]=0x2956330
 rNodes[3]=0x294abe0
 rNodes[4]=0x2944fa0
 rNodes[5]=0x2a116e0
 rNodes[6]=0x2a10d10
 rNodes[7]=0x2a0fe90
 rNodes[8]=0x2951750
 rNodes[9]=0x296bec0
 rNodes[10]=0x295ac30
 rNodes[11]=0x295ad50
 rNodes[12]=0x297b7a0
 There is a fly anchored in pNode
 rAnchor.GetContentAnchor()->nNode 12
 rNodes[13]=0x296b300

When I go after the image and press Return, the GetDoc Nodes are:
 count=15
 rNodes[0]=0x2943c90
 rNodes[1]=0x296c2a0
 rNodes[2]=0x2956330
 rNodes[3]=0x294abe0
 rNodes[4]=0x2944fa0
 rNodes[5]=0x2a116e0
 rNodes[6]=0x2a10d10
 rNodes[7]=0x2a0fe90
 rNodes[8]=0x2951750
 rNodes[9]=0x296bec0
 rNodes[10]=0x295ac30
 rNodes[11]=0x295ad50
 rNodes[12]=0x2f1a220
 rNodes[13]=0x297b7a0
 There is a fly anchored in pNode
 rAnchor.GetContentAnchor()->nNode 12

rNodes 12 has become 13, new node inserted in 12.
But the FlyFrame (at pos 13) is still referencing nNode 12.

Either new node has to be inserted After the FlyFrame or nNode has to be
updated during insert.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 91726] New: AutoFormat: Crash when using an existing name for a new preset

2015-05-29 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=91726

Bug ID: 91726
   Summary: AutoFormat: Crash when using an existing name for a
new preset
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 4.4.3.2 rc
  Hardware: x86 (IA32)
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Calc
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: fors...@mailbox.org

Follow these steps:

1. Open Calc
2. Highlight The cells from A1 to D4
3. Go the Format - AutoFormat
4. Click "add" and enter an already existing name like "Grün" (German
LibreOffice) or "Green" (English LibreOffice)
5. LibreOffice will crash.

Sometimes the recovery dialogue can save the document but sometimes LibreOffice
will just vanish and all progress is lost.

However LibreOffice (English + German!) will not crash when choosing the name
"Standard" which is a pre-existing preset only in German LibreOffice. Instead
an error message appears telling you that an illegal name was entered.

Please extend this check to all preset names and add an option to overwrite the
currently existing preset.

(I might add that the AutoFormat dialogue is also very confusing. It doesn't
tell about the 4x4 requirement for creating a new preset and users have to
guess or check the LibreOffice wiki. The space for the preset names is not wide
enough with LibreOffice set to German and when switching languages in
LibreOffice your preset will be deleted if there is already a preset with the
same name in the new language.)

Tested on LibreOffice 4.4.3.2 and nightly 5.0 2015-05-28 Windows.

Sorry about that, I'd forgotten that I haven't got a debug build - on OSX
