[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 90597] TRACK CHANGES: Uno command for accepting/rejecting change without jumping to next change
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=90597 --- Comment #3 from Luke Kendall --- I'm finding my workaround is working quite well, since in areas where there are many changes, there's often no need for me to temporarily introduce a spurious change just to prevent the scrolling. I do notice that there's one small improvement that would further help: if I select a range of text that includes changes, I can right click to bring up the context menu to accept or reject all the changes within. (That's an excellent feature, BTW.) But the Accept/Reject buttons on the Changes toolbar are greyed out: I think it would be a nice enhancement if they could be made available directly from there with a single click (instead of requiring: right-click, drag to option, release). Would you prefer I submitted that as a separate enhancement, however? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 90597] TRACK CHANGES: Uno command for accepting/rejecting change without jumping to next change
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=90597 --- Comment #1 from Luke Kendall --- I wish someone could find time to work on this enhancement (or even https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=38726) - it's desperately needed, for the production of high quality documents. When tracking changes, a document can quickly become so messy with the visible deltas that you can't see what it would look like with the changes applied. And if you do accept the changes, LO then automatically jumps to the next change, so in general you have a lot of scrolling to do to locate what you just did, and you lose the "visual diff" you'd get from your own short-term memory at seeing the changes applied. It makes what should be a simple task, enormously difficult. I tried simply turning off "Show changes", and using the new Changes toolbar to move from change to change. It's not ideal, though, as there is only an indication of a specific tiny change, so you get no indication of whether there are any other changes nearby. I also discovered that if you accept a change, then it also turns the Show Changes back on. Nor can you see and accept a whole bunch of changes in one operation. The workaround I've had to adopt is to introduce a spurious change somewhere below a set of changes I wish to accept/reject (like adding a space at the end of a paragraph below), then selecting the text before that, then right-clicking and accepting (or rejecting) changes. I can of course also accept/reject individual changes as I wish, so this approach gives me as a user excellent control. If I'm happy with the result, I then delete the just-added space and move to the next set of changes. Another option for the extension might be to add 3 more controls on the Manage Changes dialogue: Checkbox: turn off automatically advance to next change Next change button Previous change button. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=92458 --- Comment #3 from Björn Michaelsen --- (In reply to Yousuf (Jay) Philips from comment #2) > Though the human theme isnt bundled by default with libreoffice, it is the > default icon theme used for LO in Ubuntu and its flavours, except Kubuntu, > so i'd assume it would be good to make sure that Canonical doesnt have an > issue with this. Right. I would really not enjoy killing the Human theme, as likely it would just mean that I would need to carry it as a cumbersome vendor patch anyway, just creating lots of pointless work along the way. What is the point/goal of this anyway? The human theme can be turned off by a configure switch and IIRC isnt even enabled by default. If the goal is to make Ubuntu ship a different default, this certainly isnt the way towards that goal (see above). If you want a different default in Ubuntu, the way to go about that is filing a request on launchpad at Ubuntu and get that nodded of by Ubuntus design team. (As a general note this bug doesnt seem to be too well scoped: it describes no clear goal and mixes too many things: removing themes, adding themes, changing defaults with the latter being off-topic here beyond TDF builds.) -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

I believe Ubuntu uses the human theme as its default icon theme for its unity desktop, so it maybe important to them to keep that consistency. CCing Bjoern for his thoughts. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 92509] default value for Boolean in Table not working
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=92509 --- Comment #3 from jimrussell98...@gmail.com --- Not sure earlier comment update made it into record. It turns out that the problem is a little more subtle than I appreciated. I had an existing table with ~180 rows of data. I edited the table definition, adding several Boolean fields. The value of these fields for all existing rows got set to No, even though in editing the table I had accepted the default of for default value. On the other hand, if I subsequently add a new row, its default values are all handled correctly. So, it is only during editing of the table definition, not during "normal" data entry, that the incorrect default value is inserted. That is, this is a narrower (but still real) problem than I realized. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
