The 5.0.2.2 x86 and x64 versions don't work at all on thoses VMs, I obtain a transparent or black window, even with a new pref folder. On thoses virtual machines, I disabled 3D Graphics possibility, deleted LibreOffice prefs folder into %APPDATA% and I tried again : LibreOffice crashs. On the 2nd launch, LibreOffice seems to work, it's very weird. After that "good" launch, I enable 3D Graphics into VMware again, and it works. I never seen that bug, even with LibreOffice 5.0.1 and my VMware is the same (11.1.2). Please, do you know what was changed between LibreOffice 5.0.1 and 5.0.2 that brings that bug ? So, a new user profile did not fix this problem. Another piece of information is that once it hangs up and I use the Windows Task Manager to kill the program and then restart LibreOffice and select the Calc spreadsheet and resume my Copy/Paste operations, the program will not hang up again. So the problem seems to be only on the initial load of LibreOffice. https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=94670 --- Comment #4 from l...@lsdx.eu --- >From l...@lsdx.eu Good evening to all. It is not really abug, so this post may have to be shifted elsewhere. It is an evolution ou UIs that I regret. It began apparently wit MS office 2003 but is spreding everywhere. Fashion? It applies to all "Libre Office" programs. I do not like this menu as a graphical banner at the page top. Even with astandard 50 lines screens it squats on about 24% of the height as compared with 2 lines of classical roll down menus. As I like to format my pages (text, html, calc or whatever) as iot helps thinking, I find it quite annoying. I was "born" to computing with MS DOD 1.1 and is used to work with the keyboard as well as mice. With my son, a software engineer, and mouse addict, we sometimes race with our own tools and he is not always the winner. Up to last month I would work with MS Office 2000 buit am switching to Libre Office as Windows 10 does not accept old things. What I propose is that we should have a choise: New or old menus. It is very easy to learn a string of letters (Alt+i,l,a). It should not be that heavy: no pictures and the same hypertext commands. Probably "just" a question of layouts. Any reaction? https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=94669 --- Comment #1 from Richard Neill --- One place where this can cause really serious errors is when we have a table such as this Name_a value_a const formula_1 formula_2 formula_3 Name_b value_b const formula_1 formula_2 formula_3 Name_c value_c const formula_1 formula_2 formula_3 In other words, name and value are data entered by the user, while const might be a figure such as salary-overhead, which is usually (but not always) fixed at 25%. I then add a 4th row, entering Name_dvalue_d and then I select [[ const formula_1 formula_2 formula_3 ]] and use use autofill to drag it down. What I then get is a 4th row: Name_dvalue_d const+1 formula_1 formula_2 formula_3 Note that the "const" has been automagically "corrupted" to const+1 which I almost certainly didn't intend, and most likely failed to notice. I created a column with non contiguous data to represent software upgrade prices at variable lengths of months. I created several other columns that would either sum or average the non contiguous data column. After creation, every thing auto calculated as I would expect. I then grabbed and moved a number in the non contiguous column down one column. The calculation columns did not automatically refresh their results. I hit F9, still no refresh. I choose the menu item Tools:Cell Contents:Recalculate, still no refresh. I deleted the data and it did not refresh either automatically or with F9. Re-entering data seemed to be the only way to refresh the formulae. I copied the entire range after the refusing to refresh calculations problem began, and the pasted range further down the sheet. It did not refresh the formulae. Hit F9, still no refresh. Delete and reenter refreshed one column (running total achieved with a SUM(B$11:B19) formula. Initial formula was SUM(b$11:b11) and then filled down to end of range. The running average column did not automatically refresh, refresh or update with F9, or refresh upon a save, close and reopen. Not trusting that a spreadsheet program will refresh results makes it worthless. I am attaching the spreadsheet. The first range contains some updated results from the re-entry of data. The second range was a result of the copy and paste and move the data fiasco. I will test the spreadsheet on my Windows 10 and Linux installs when I return home. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 86139] EDITING: Cannot insert/delete rows in a matrix of cells (or right above it)
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=86139 --- Comment #3 from s...@sebleblanc.net --- Although the ability to extend an array or matrix is a design decision, this bug breaks the ability to insert multiple rows at a time right above a matrix. I use it like this: when I would like to add say 5 new rows to a spreadsheet, I select 5 rows right under where I want them, then I click "Insert rows above". When the selection overlaps with an array, I cannot use this anymore, so I have to create rows one by one. Furthermore, it seems impossible to insert a row above an array/matrix if the array sits on the first row of the spreadsheet. The issue appears even when using an XY (scatter) chart type, as JBF suggested using instead. It seems as if on rendering the chart, the X-Y values are laid out on the chart in some unspecified order, while the line will simply connect the points from leftmost to rightmost, discarding the order in the data series.
