[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 95668] Preview images of templates too small
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=95668 A (Andy) changed: What|Removed |Added Status|UNCONFIRMED |NEW CC||stgohi-lob...@yahoo.de Ever confirmed|0 |1 OS|Mac OS X (All) |All --- Comment #4 from A (Andy) --- The issue mentioned in the bug description is reproducible for me with LO 5.0.3.2, Win 8.1. The fact with hidden files I could not verify. For me this seems maybe to be linked to the fact, that the folder preview in Templates shows (if available) four images/templates, but if you go down to the templates itself it makes for me no sense to make the image preview that small. Note to test it: Open the LibreOffice Start Center and to go TEMPLATES or RECENT FILES -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

All I can say is what a jerk. > > How about I stop contributing my time testing and reporting bugs since my > participation clearly isn't as meaningful as yours. Just to clarify - I'm not a developer either and thus, when I report bugs (which I've reported quite a few), I don't say "this needs to get fixed" as it's not my time that is needed to fix it. If a volunteer tackles it one day, awesome, else, I'll wait patiently and continue doing my part to make the project better (reporting, triaging, etc... etc...). If that makes me a jerk, I suppose I can accept that. Anywho, I wasn't trying to pick a fight or take the subject off topic, I was just trying to keep expectations realistic. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 95267] Copy of comment from one doc to another changes the comment text font size
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=95267 --- Comment #3 from Luke Kendall --- The default font size for comments on Linux appears to be 12pt (and the font: Liberation Serif). I have used Format All Comments to set this to 10pt in both the source and target documents. If I copy a comment from the source to the target, the pasted comment is pasted as 12 pt. When you tried to reproduce it, could you try first formatting all the source document comments' font size to something smaller than the default font size? Perhaps that makes a difference? I have noticed a possibly-related problem, too: I have copied some comments "ahead" of where I am editing currently; the editing involves changes to the text, and sometimes I copy more comments across into the target text I've just changed; despite having used "Format All Comments", sometimes when I look at the comments "ahead", they have reverted to 12 pt. Oh, I just went skimming back earlier in the document, and found one *earlier* comment that had also reverted to 12 pt. I have the zoom factor in the source document set to 80%, that of the target set to 110%, in case that's relevant? Also, the body font and paragraph styles in the source document are quite different to that of the target: source is Times New Roman 14pt, with pretty much the default paragraph styles, I think; the target document uses the CreateSpace template, so has quite different paragraph styles, and the body text is Garamond 9 (which seems to somehow work, even though I don't have Garamond installed, yet). I can't think of anything else which might be relevant... https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=95578 --- Comment #4 from Andy --- I am showing you the situation in the most apparent case, when the correlation coefficients 1 and the variances of the two variables are equal: in this case the data cloud reduces to a single line, and the angle of it is 45°. In the first attach, the data in columns B and C are correctly mirrored. However, now press F9 twice and the data clouds expands to what you see in the second attach: it is easy to check that it is wrong since, as said above, in this case X and Y should take the same values, forming a 45° steep line: this happens on the data range; but does NOT in the chart, where data shown are clearly NOT those in columns B and C: it is sufficient to check that they do not have equal horizontal and vertical coordinates. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=81849 --- Comment #17 from Pjotr --- Reading all this: Is this the place to report bugs and if so, is anyone considering to spend time to do some research, preferably with Linux so that it can actually be seen by a developer? I just tried this again on a fresh installed LibreOffice 5.0.3.2 with the same result. I's a quad-core machine with 8 GB ram and a dedicated video-adaptor. Same issue still exists... On running a two-screen set-up, using the second screen as "beamer" I notice that the text in the slide containing the audio file shows up 10 seconds AFTER the audio started playing, which preceded a 10 second pause to play the audio in the first place. In the console view on the laptop screen, the view remained empty, just the background image shows but no text-overlay. It does show, however, on the second screen acting as beamer. The bottom line is in this case 2x a 10 second wait for any response. The presentation timer freezes and jumps 20 seconds forward. This really starts to be annoying. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 94556] Table borders do not reflect changes properly - refreshing problem?
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=94556 --- Comment #16 from David --- Yes, it is all about developer engagement. Unfortunately, many bugs only show themselves in specific appearance conditions to they don't affect many people. Only easily reproducible bugs affecting lots of users can be targeted effectively. Still, it is important to keep posting bug reports in the hope that they get sorted. IMO, frustrating bugs that are present across multiple versions of LO (and perhaps present for years) should be targeted as high priority. I have had so many clients give up on LO because simple things that are taken for granted in M$ Office fail to work properly here. Many of these issues are present even in the so-called "stable" LO releases. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 94556] Table borders do not reflect changes properly - refreshing problem?
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=94556 --- Comment #13 from David --- While bugs like these seem trivial the frustration they cause can be significant. When I encountered problems with table cell borders yet *again* I was almost ready to give up on LO. LO has advanced into such a wonderful, mature application suite yet we are still plagued by "trivial* bugs that never seem to get fixed. They do affect usability and to such a degree that it makes the software questionable for serious office work. LO should do the simple things well.
