[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 84416] 3-D slide transitions not working on Windows
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=84416 --- Comment #11 from V Stuart Foote --- (In reply to Yousuf (Jay) Philips from comment #10) > > What version of OpenGL did these run on? When enabled the nVidia GTX-750ti on Windows 10/64bit is OpenGL 4.4 compliant, as is the nVidia K2000 on Windows 8.1/64bit. (In reply to Yousuf (Jay) Philips from comment #10) > (In reply to V Stuart Foote from comment #9) > > All the transitions seem to be working well now on Windows with current > > master. Both with and without OpenGL support enabled. > > OpenGL transitions only run with OpenGL and the OpenGL option in the Tools > dialog is for having the UI rendered with OpenGL. Sorry, that is not true. Just verified --again-- that they run equally well with OpenGL enabled or disabled in LibreOffice, at least with two newer nVidia GPU cards. That this happens had confused me, but now certain it is the case since Michael M. added the -GL flag to the info list. We never got a good explaination regards https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=92184#c17 , also see bug 94031. So, for some GPU/driver mixes *all transitions* work with just hardware acceleration. This info from a run without OpenGL just now--note no -GL flag-- Windows 10 Pro 64-bit w/nVidia GTX-750ti Driver Version10.18.13.5850 Version: 5.1.0.0.alpha1+ (x64) Build ID: 01de2fc790b50c04f13907026f1a7782009fea61 TinderBox: Win-x86_64@42, Branch:master, Time: 2015-11-21_01:52:58 Locale: en-US (en_US) So, the 3D transitions do work on Windows, and with correction of bug 92184 "3D slide transitions work but during the transition images are bluish" the slide transitions are getting better on Windows. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 95959] New: Macros are not available in 4.x when stored with 5.x
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=95959 Bug ID: 95959 Summary: Macros are not available in 4.x when stored with 5.x Product: LibreOffice Version: 5.0.3.2 release Hardware: All OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: BASIC Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: gerhard.scha...@gmx.at Created attachment 120683 --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=120683&action=edit Test file for invisible macros When storing a password protected macro in 5.0.3.2 and opening it with 4.4.5.2 or 4.4.3.2, then the old version would not show the macro, let alone execute it. When I enter the password in 4.4.3.2 and then store the whole ODB file again, and reopen it, the macro shows up again, and it is not necessary to enter the password this time. With bug #87530 generally entering a password was broken. But now I cannot even see the macros anymore in old versions unless I follow the steps above. I usually work with 5.0.3 now, and do not want to go back to OpenOffice 3.x to set a password and to LibreOffice 4.4 for storing the changes to make sure that macros also work with older versions. This is really cumbersome. The attachment shows the behavior very clearly. Open the odb file. If the menu Test is there on the top right side, then it works (5.0.x), otherwise (older versions) it does not. I am not sure, if this is related to #93475, but it seems somewhat different. Unfortunately that is not a full set of glyphs for the Mathematical Operators Unicode block. Those are defined in Segoe UI Symbol, but those are not pulled. Result in LibreOffice (and AOO) is a mix of OpenSymbol and Segoe UI in formula, unless a font replacement is specified for OpenSymbol, which itself is weird. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 91817] Insertion and link areas of 'spreadsheet' from LO Calc in a LO Writer document.
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=91817 --- Comment #4 from gmarco --- Summarizing the question: I had the need to integrate a document (text) with data copied and linked from a spreadsheet but I didn't find any help about, so I posted a request in the forum but nobody replied. Having then resolved myself the goal, I suggested an help text to add, instructing about how to do. Again and still no one response, is there any reason? Here I report again my instructions: >From Calc: select cell or cells-area to insert in the doc. In Writer: point to where to apply, select Copy-paste -> link DDE. After pasting you can adjust boards and characters of the linked data. >From Edit -> Links you can display all linked objects and manage them; if "automatic update" is checked (I think as default) every update to the Calc sheet is reflected into the Writer document, elsewhere you can click on "Update" to do that. Reopening the Writer file you'll be asked if you wish updating (YES|NOT): every change applied to the Calc sheet shall be or not reflected into the Writer document. Some warnings: Warning 1: in the ODT, about the comment, I wrote "← double-click to display comments": it is not always so. In my sample (it is an ODT migrated from a WinWord DOC) it is true; if you create a new comment from LO Writer you can display it only by View→Comments. (I don't know why, may be some developer could explain ...???). Warning 2: opening the ODT doc you are asked if you wish updating YES|NOT. Replying YES every change applied to the Calc sheet willl be reflected into the Writer doc ... but now if you want to save the updated file, the "SAVE" menu option is inhibited and also clicking on "X" the file will not saved; you have to exit by "Save As". Considering this a bug, I posted as Bug 91345. Warning 3: linked objects are drive/folder dependent. If you move the Calc sheet to a different location you'll have to modify or recreate the links in the Writer doc." (for this, in "LO W-C odtsample.odt" objects are linked to "D:..", so if you have only C: drive, use the modified version "LO W-C odtsample(C).odt" with links to C:.") Then a last question: the only thing I am not able to do is the alignment of linked data with my test. e.g., in my sample I'd like to align the date getting "This is my document dated 2015-05-15". (how to do ???) [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 95955] New: EDITING/FILESAVE: getting rid of bitmap imported as page background is impossible
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=95955 Bug ID: 95955 Summary: EDITING/FILESAVE: getting rid of bitmap imported as page background is impossible Product: LibreOffice Version: 5.0.3.2 release Hardware: All OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Writer Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: sergio.calleg...@gmail.com If you go to the page properties dialog, you have the option of importing a bitmap to use as the page background. Obviously, your bitmap is then saved with the file. Now, suppose that by mistake you used a very very very big file and you decided that this was not a good idea. You go to the page properties again, and you say that you want no page background. Then you save the file. Unfortunately, the file size does not change a bit and the bitmap you used as your background is still saved inside the file. Furthermore, for some reasons, once you have imported a bitmap, it is not listed among the available bitmaps in the "area->bitmaps" dialog, so you cannot delete it even from there. Neither the bitmap file appears in the document navigator. Editing the styles.xml file in a text editor to remove the corresponding bitmap entries works but is a bit of a burden. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 91452] Assigning Formats by Formula Help
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=91452 --- Comment #5 from gmarco --- In the help for "Assigning Formats by Formula" (https://help.libreoffice.org/Calc/Assigning_Formats_by_Formula/it), page last modified on 2015-09-28, I still read wrong instructions. At items 5 and 6: 5. Contrassegnate i campi Espressione regolare e Solo nella selezione. Fate clic su Trova tutto. Vengono evidenziate tutte le celle con un contenuto che sono state selezionate. 6. Fate clic su Sostituisci tutto. Well,in item 5, if you don't say to firstly extend “+ Altre opzioni” you cannot see and select those fields. Then, the sentence “vengono evidenziate ...” is a bad translation, difficult to understand. I again suggest “Tutte le celle precedentemente selezionate, con un contenuto, sono ora evidenziate.” that is the literal translation of “All cells with contents, that were included in the selection, are now highlighted”, perfectly understandable. After item 6, you have to add: 7. All in all, the HTML im/export is pretty old and not in good shape. It ses the writer core directly and there is a fixed table mapping ItemIDs to function pointers for creating the HTML output tags - this will break immediately should the ItemIDs ever change. In that range the new fill attribute items in the [XATTR_FILL_FIRST .. XATTR_FILL_LAST] range already appear, but are beyond the table (XATTR_FILLSTYLE is around 1014). Added code to create the classic SvxBrushItem for now as a fallback to provide the same functionality as before. Checked for im/export of paragraph background.
