Your attachment is not usable because the main text is embedded as external
source. When I open your document I see the first page with text and the 201
following pages are empty. At the end I read: Продолжение таблицы Error:

Interesting; so - under a raw gtk2 with no GL - I can get a little glitch like
this - which looks as if the cursor is being XOR'd out of the selection
rectangle as we grow it (but this happens for me only at the very beginning).
As such - not a GL bug but some random race condition (perhaps); Possibly we
should open a new (non-GL related) bug about thgat.

>From a GL perspective - 10.18.10.3925 is also a very old driver; we've
blacklisted everything that is not 10.18.14.4264 - so hopefully people won't
see some of the artifacts we know afflict drivers before then.

Thanks for reporting !

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 96981] New: Formula creation using entire sheet heading

2016-01-09 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=96981

Bug ID: 96981
Summary: Formula creation using entire sheet heading
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.2.0.0.alpha0+ Master
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Calc
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: ovar...@gmail.com

Let ALL_HEADING be the rectangle which is the intersection of the row and
column headings, i.e. Left of column heading A and above row heading 1.

Scenario A – works correctly

1. In cell A1, type: =SUM(
2. Click ALL_HEADING and nothing happens as this would create a circular
reference.

Scenario B – works correctly

1. Create 3 sheets, i.e. Sheet1, Sheet2 and Sheet3.
2. Click Sheet1.
3. Press and hold Ctrl and click Sheet3, then release Ctrl.
4. In cell A1 (still on Sheet1), type: =SUM(
5. Click on Sheet3.
6. Click ALL_HEADING and nothing happens as this would create a circular
reference in Sheet3.

Scenario C – works incorrectly
==

1. Create 3 sheets, i.e. Sheet1, Sheet2 and Sheet3.
2. Click Sheet1.
3. In cell A1, type: =SUM(
4. Press Ctrl+PgDn (or click on Sheet2).
5. Click ALL_HEADING (in Sheet2) and cell A1 (of Sheet1) contains
  Current behaviour : =SUM(
  Expected behaviour : =SUM(Sheet2.1:1048576)

Note: Another representation for the entire sheet could be:
   =SUM(Sheet2.A:AMJ)
however, this may cause regressions when the maximum number of columns is
increased (see bug 50916). Saving entire sheets using row references may be
preferable to using column references.

Thank you

There was another feature request on G+ dealing with this topic. But this
person wants to just hide the comments not to clean it afterwards. So I suggest
to introduce an option whether of not comments should be personalized. It would
be a checkbox at the context menu of the comment plus another at options >
security. When this option is not checked the time stamp and user id of
comments is hidden.

Looking at this issue there is an option right now to remove the metadata when
a document is saved. So actually this bug could be solved (and I'd have to open
another since my suggestion is to prevent the creation).

uxadvice (comments are relevant not only for Writer) + needsdeveval
Could be an easyhack

2016-01-09 Thread bugzilla-daemon

Hi Dipankar:

> https://gerrit.libreoffice.org/21280 is a cleanup of
> https://gerrit.libreoffice.org/21215

Ah - this is a bit of a pain to manage =) Luckily gerrit has a feature to make
this very, very easy - if you use it.

If you ensure that your new commit has the same 'Change-Id:' entry in the
commit message - then gerrit will just update the old patch, rather than
creating a new gerrit entry.

That -really- helps - it keeps the old comments together with the new patch,
and reduces the thrash of gerrit and so on.

Please can you ensure that new patches retain the old Change-IDs ? I appreciate
it's somewhat annoying having all these small patches ;-) but good practice for
dealing with eg. 'git rebase -i' which is a powerful tool for squashing changes
into patches =)

Thanks !

Thanks for filing; I implemented ::Invert and now we get a solid (inverted)
tracking rectangle - I need to implement SAL_INVERT_TRACKFRAME it seems to get
this working properly; essentially a dashed empty rectangle =)

since there are no really obvious differences between the vcl/opengl code paths

Hi Dipankar

I reviewed a number of those changes; really keeping the Change-Id: the same
would save a lot of effort. Also - please do not refer to gerrit URLs in your
commit messages. git commit messages are part of the permanent record of the
code - once in they cannot be changed; but gerrit URLs are not really ;-) so
... better to add a comment into gerrit itself.

Thanks for the good work !

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 94655] Emoji not Visible in Exported PDF

2016-01-09 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=94655

Hi, the latest version 2015.3 of NeoOffice has the following bug fix:

• When exporting a document to PDF, NeoOffice would not include any characters
that use the Apple Color Emoji font

See http://www.neooffice.org/neojava/en/features.php

This sounds the same as this bug, so I wonder if that bug fix can be ported to
LO? NeoOffice have a CVS server, not sure if they are willing to upstream the
fix (I suppose with the GPL they have to)?

Here is where their source code is:

V Stuart Foote changed:

   What|Removed |Added

 Status|UNCONFIRMED |NEW
 CC||vstuart.fo...@utsa.edu
 Ever confirmed|0 |1

This is of course for the Cell Appearance content panel of the Properties Deck
in Calc.

Are you suggesting eliminating the current 4 x 4 matrix of borders to apply, or
just adding a *row* of "frequently used" buttons?

A row of frequently used buttons would not be unreasonable, although the entire
deck is getting kind of packed. And the current matrix selector control fits
well with the other controls in the content panel.

However, would *not* agree to eliminating the matrix of border affects.

We've been eliminating labeling of the controls, and now depend on the
tool-tips, but the controls respond to selections made so there is visual queue
to the settings.

Two things that could be improved--since applying the cell borders are
cumulative--the buttons in the matrix should have a selected/non-selected
distinction. Also, the "preview" on the content panel does not render all of
the borders as applied to the selection.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 96986] New: Formula Autocomplete When Editing Formula Using $

2016-01-09 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=96986

Bug ID: 96986
Summary: Formula Autocomplete When Editing Formula Using $
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.0.2.2 release
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Calc
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: john.linto...@gmail.com

Problem description:
When editing a formula in Calc, Calc autocompletes the formula if the cell is
locked with $.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Type =$c$4 into cell A1
2. Delete "c" and type "s", press enter
3. Autocompletition kicks in and you have =$search()$4

Expected behavior:
Autocompletition does not suggest function name.

Currently Calc does not suggest a function name if the cell is not locked with
$.

For example:
1. Type =c4 into cell A1
2. Delete "c" and type "s", press enter
3. Changes cell to =s4 as expected

This unintended autocompletion appears to happen with all formulas if the cell
is locked with $.

Bug 96968 (pushpins) is another solution to the same issue.
I would prefer a bookmark list since it is cleared and is separates the dynamic
from the static, but i guess you would not offer both. While Mozilla does seems
to offer both, for a word processor that might be considered overdone.

In my mind, the Hide Whitespace mode has a certain workflow in mind: to make
the _content_ of the page continuous and uninterrupted by distractions (such as
headers, footers, and whitespace between pages). It really isn't a substitute
for something like the Browser mode, or Normal view.

I do realize that ideally we'd have these values as settings the users could
tweak to their liking. But for now we have something that does the job fairly
well, but doesn't come with bells and whistles.

Perhaps a good solution to this particular issue you raise is to 'hide the
mouse cursor when typing'. It would be great if we could have something similar
(if we don't already) and essentially hide the mouse cursor while the user is
typing, and show it when they move the mouse. (Feel free to check if we don't
have it and file a feature bug to track it.)

Thanks for your suggestions... keep them coming.

> Also, "But you can create your own keyboard shortcut." - besides the point

> combination/functionality that lets me insert comment or edit existing one?

Indeed. For me the removal of this ability is a bug or a design error, because
you can't create a second comment if there is already one. So if a comment
exists, the only actions you can take is edit or remove the comment. As it is
not always obvious that a comment has already been defined, it is a good idea
to have the same shortcut to create and edit a comment.

Setting status to NEW even if the possibility to create a shortcut for the edit
comment exists in version 5.1. I think the bug should be fixed for the 5.0
branch. It is an accessibility problem too because it is not possible to edit a
comment without the mouse.

In the case of 5.1 and next, a shortcut for the edit comment command should be
defined by default. For example ctrl+shift+C but it would be better if we had
the same shortcut to edit and create a comment.
The mnemonics to create and edit a comment are the same: right click + M
(shift+F10+M).

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 96988] New: The place to set the language for the document is ridiculously undiscoverable

2016-01-09 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=96988

Bug ID: 96988
Summary: The place to set the language for the document is
ridiculously undiscoverable
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: unspecified
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Calc
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: teo8...@gmail.com

Note: I noticed this on Calc but it's probably common to all LibreOffice
applications.

When I want to set the language for the current document,
the most reasonable place where I'd expect to find the setting is under
File/Properties. That's where all other properties of the document are (or if
any other is missing, that's an issue), so why on earth shouldn't the language
be there, given it's a property of the document.

That's probably the *only* sensible place.

When not find it there, I'd look for it under the Edit menu (expecting to find
something like "document settings" or something) and my last desperate guess
would be under Tools/Language. At that point, I give up and GOOGLE for it.

It turns out you need to go to Tools/Setting, where you usually set general
settings that are global to the application, not specific to the current
document, so it's unlikely one would even look there.
There, you have to edit the "Default language for documents" settings and check
the checkbox "apply only to current document". That's a cumbersome,
conterintuitive, and totally undiscoverable place for such a setting.

2016-01-09 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=96989

Bug ID: 96989
Summary: The videos embedded in a presentation start with the
maximum volume
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.0.4.2 rc
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Impress
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: diazbast...@openmailbox.org

LibreOffice 5.0.4.2 (5.0.4.2-3.fc23)

When you start a presentation, any video embedded in a slide starts at maximum

Cheers

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 96990] New: Default document language is not used as default in cell formatting

2016-01-09 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=96990

Bug ID: 96990
Summary: Default document language is not used as default in
cell formatting
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: unspecified
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Calc
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: teo8...@gmail.com

Steps to reproduce:
1 - create a new document
2 - go to Tools->Options->Language Settings -> Languages
3 - In "Default language for documents", select "Spanish" (or whatever language
you like that is not the language of your system), check the "Apply to current
document only" checkbox and save.

(optional steps: save the document, close LO, reopen the document - the result
will be the same)

4 - Then pick a cell in the document that has never been touched and do "Format
cells".

Expected: since the default language for this document is Spanish, the selected
language for any formatting (number, date, etc) should be Spanish, until I
change it.

Observed: in Format Cells, US English is still selected by default. So I wonder
what the "language for the document" has been applied to. It should be applied
by default to EVERYTHING in this document.

Also note: if I select Spanish as the default language for documents (WITHOUT
checking the "current document only" checkbox) and then create a fresh new
document, the outcome will be the same.

My system is in English and I want it that way, but if I create a document
whose language is Spanish, everything in that document should default to
Spanish.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 96991] New: EDITING Issues when creating tables and editing fields 5.x

2016-01-09 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=96991

Bug ID: 96991
Summary: EDITING Issues when creating tables and editing fields
5.x
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: unspecified
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Base
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: frwi1...@hotmail.com

Hi,
I tried to create a new table in a new DB and found some issues.
Win 7 64-bit, versions 5.0.3.2,5.0.4.2

* Immediately after creating a field that field can't be changed any more.
* Unable to create a working autovalue field. The required parameter always was
set to "no".
* Insert row is not working.
* Unable to change the order of the fields.

May be there are more issues related to the table editor.

Kind regards,
Willy

Menu/Tools/Options/Language Settings/Language Of - Locale settings, set up the
language for cell styles, also changing the language in cell's 'Default Style'
'Numbers' tab, has the same effect.

Menu/Tools/Options/Language Settings/Default Languages for Documents, set up
the text language, changing the language in cell's Default Style 'Font' tab,
has the same effect.

So there is a lot of flexibility on how to use a mix of languages in the
spreadsheets.

Sometimes it's better take some lessons before giving them.

*Entirely* false and unhelpful. Instead of complaining from the sidelines maybe
find some time to join QA to actually help move bugs forward:
https://kiwiirc.com/client/irc.freenode.net/libreoffice-qa

Two bibisects:
1) When it actually worked to when it moved to an intermediary step (fails for
a different reason - spitting out error "klick_me" is not an absolute URL that
can be passed to an external application to open it

2) Going from that error to no dialog at all (current state)
