Sorry for my incomprehensible English.

You have reproduced it as you mentioned:
Nothing happens when I hit the corner area in Sheet2.
  Sheet1.A1 stays as =SUM(

That is the bug, i.e. nothing happens, when Sheet1.A1 should change to:
=SUM(Sheet2.1:1048576)

Please advise if you need further explanation of what the bug is to enable
status to be changed to NEW.

Thank you

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 97267] New: Chart: Automatic scale minimum always at cero

2016-01-19 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=97267

Bug ID: 97267
Summary: Chart: Automatic scale minimum always at cero
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.0.2.2 release
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: trivial
  Priority: medium
 Component: Calc
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: rodho...@gmail.com

For a Chart in Calc: When the automatic scale is active the minimum value is
always cero even if there is no data near cero making difficult to visualize
the data and resulting on disabling the automatic scaling most of the times
making the feature useless.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Plot some data without values near to cero.
2. Double click the Chart
3. Click one of the axis buttons on the top
4. Go to Scale tab.
5. Realise that the automatic scale is active and the value for the minimum is
cero.

What do I spect: The data scale properly when the automatic scale is active.

What happens: The value for minimum is always cero.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 97266] New: CRASH: Calc hangs when selecting data ranges in chart

2016-01-19 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=97266

Bug ID: 97266
Summary: CRASH: Calc hangs when selecting data ranges in chart
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.0.2.2 release
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Calc

  Reporter: rodho...@gmail.com

Created attachment 122108

example file to reproduce bug

1. Open a Spreadsheet with random data in it.
2. Click the Chart button to plot the data.
3. Click in finish
4. Right click inside the chart area and select: Data Ranges
5. Select the "Data series" tab.
6. Select one of the "Data Ranges:" options like "Y-Values" or "X-Values".
7. If you selected "Y-Values", behind "Data Ranges:" you will find "Range for
Y-Values" entry. Click the button with an arrow pointing upwards you will find
in the right.
8. A little window shows up. Click and drag the cursor over the data to select
it. Now the data is surrounded by a purple square.
9. Continue dragging the cursor to the bottom for a few seconds.
10. When you stop, the selected area keeps going down for several minutes
reaching the row number 1 or so. During that time you can not close the
window nor the program. You can only kill the program resulting in data loss or
wait 15 minutes for the program to stop loosing valuable working time.

What do I spect: When I stop dragging the cursor the program stop in selecting
rows.

What happens: The program keeps going on selecting rows for several minutes
without the posibility of saving the work or closing the program.

I would not judge the image Regina inserted as "Good rendering" in her example
attached to the description satisfactory. (May this be due tu unintentional
clipping?)

I meanwhile tested with "Version: 5.1.0.2 (x64)
Build ID: ecd3574d51754b043f865cf5bafee286d24db7cc
CPU Threads: 4; OS Version: Windows 6.29; UI Render: default;
Locale: de-DE (de_DE)"
In addition: UI en-UK

No improvemenmt: Ugly brackets and braces unchanged as compared with Regina's
example.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 97264] New: Sans-serif font for numbering instead of Serif

2016-01-19 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=97264

Bug ID: 97264
Summary: Sans-serif font for numbering instead of Serif
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.1.0.2 rc
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: akorni...@gmail.com

Hi all,

I'm still facing issues with my document. First was reported here:
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=94368

Then new one was reported during testing:
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=95213

Now they are fixed. However, i still have problems with numbering:

1. I have the same .DOC file (attached).
2. We use online service zoho.com for online documents and so on. After
importing that my .DOC file into it and then exporting it to the .DOCX i got
sans-serif font (looks like Arial) for numbering instead of serif.
3. I had a conversation with zoho.com guys, they doublechecked and told me it's
a LibreOffice issue.
4. I checked that .DOCX with Google online docs, Microsoft Online office - they
display it correctly, numbering has serif font (as all the text of that
document).
5. Furthermore, if i export to DOCX using LibreOffice itself, everything is OK.

But that's definitely an issue, not sure why that happens.

Please, find attached files:
1. Original .DOC file.
2. Exported from zoho.com .DOCX file
3. Screenshot of the correct file with serif font.
4. Screenshot of the incorrect file with sans-serif font.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 97262] New: FILEOPEN: Open CSV file from OneDrive for Business-synced folder on Windows creates sync error for lock file

2016-01-19 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=97262

Bug ID: 97262
Summary: FILEOPEN: Open CSV file from OneDrive for
Business-synced folder on Windows creates sync error
for lock file
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 4.4.3.2 release
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Calc
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: frodeseve...@gmail.com

Created attachment 122098
  --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=122098&action=edit
Images depicting the situation on a OneDrive synced folder

Calc creates a lock-file for CSV files opened. This lock file causes sync error
in OneDrive for Business-synced folders. OneDrive for Business complains about
unsupported characters in the file name.

The nomenclature for the files is such:
CSV-file: pois_ekstra.csv
Lock file: .~lock.pois_ekstra.csv#

I found this link to a KB discussing invalid characters in filenames in
OneDrive
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2933738

There seems to be a problem with both the '~' and '#' characters in the lock
file filename.

Resolving the issue is not easy. In my case the lock file seems to be a remnant
of a stale Calc session, or more likely a remnant of an incident when Calc was
runing and I shut down the computer forcefully by holding the Off-button until
power off. Also a run-out battery might have caused the file to linger.

In any account the file does not show in the file list in Windows Explorer on
Windows 7 with standard settings. I turned on 'Show hidden files, folders and
volumes' to make it show up. Most users are oblivious of this setting, and so
the error is mysterious, with no way to fix the sync error; OneDrive seems to
complaining about an error in a filename of a file which is not present in the
filesystem anymore.

I found a work-around:
By adding a '.tmp' suffix to the filename, the sync error disappeared. This is
due to the fact that OneDrive for Business does not even try to sync files with
a '.tmp' suffix. I extracted this information from the help info for the sync
error (Norwegian only, no URI, sorry):
Du kan ikke laste opp OneNote-filer eller *TMP- eller *DS_Store-filtyper. Du
kan heller ikke laste opp desktop.ini, tomlene.db eller ehthumbs.db.

Hence this nomenclature would work:
CSV-file: pois_ekstra.csv
Lock file: .~lock.pois_ekstra.csv#.tmp

Hello.

I have renamed the profiles, both in the administrative RC2 installations and
the Dev of 5.1 installation in a PC with Window XP SP3 and my Laptop with
Windows 10

and the problem is still present.

The RC2 is
Version: 5.1.0.2

CPU Threads: 8; OS Version: Windows 6.2; UI Render: GL;
Locale: es-MX (es_MX)

The Dev was 5.1.0.1.2016-01-12-11.37.42.

After that, installed the

Version: 5.2.0.0.alpha0+
Build ID: 000df1832b54ba8f48c7f1c4c1cd92b70f6402da
CPU Threads: 8; OS Version: Windows 6.19; UI Render: default;
TinderBox: Win-x86@39, Branch:master, Time: 2016-01-18_01:08:28
Locale: es-MX (es_MX)

And found the same problem.

I am attaching screenshoots of each test.

Notice the highligthed field with yellow, where the double click is applied to
expand/colapse details.

I'm using a custom font for writing guitar fretboard diagrams, that has
vertical lines that align vertically.
The font (fixed size) redefines the chars on the keyboard with shapes (circles,
squares, etc...)
When the font color is changed the alignment gets slighlty offset.
Everything is ok if the color is not used.

When opening and closing documents, I do everything from the keyboard. But with
gtk3, you have to use the mouse to bring the close dialog into focus.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Open a new document
2. Type something
3. CTRL-W

Expected Results:
1. Save document dialog pops up with "Save" hightlighted

Actual Results:
1. With gtk3, save dialog pops up with nothing highlighted and not in focus
2. With "$ SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN=gtk ./soffice", it works as expected

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 97258] Crazy behaviour when pasting percentage numbers from text files

That means that before or while pasting 13% the cell was formatted as Text,
effectively forcing the content to type text instead of number (and the content
probably being left aligned). Formatting the cell to some number type does not
change the content, but then the leading ' indicates that the content *could*
be interpreted as a number. The ' is not part of the cell content, hence
searching for it is not possible, but once the cells are formatted as number
the content can be converted from text to number by selecting the cells and
then use Find&Replace:

Search For: ^.+
Replace With: $0
Under Options activate
* Current selection only
* Regular expressions

and then hit Replace All.

Another possibility is to install this useful extension:
http://extensions.libreoffice.org/extension-center/ct2n-convert-text-to-number-and-dates

I don't remember how 3.5 (which btw is rather old) handled pasting text, but in
a more recent 4.4.7 or 5.0.4 pasting 13% text yields a numeric value and not
text.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 97258] New: Crazy behaviour when pasting percentage numbers from text files

2016-01-19 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=97258

Bug ID: 97258
Summary: Crazy behaviour when pasting percentage numbers from
text files
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 3.5.7.2 release
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Calc
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: leprech...@email.it

I have LO 3.5.7.2 in an Ubuntu 12.04 32 bit platform, installed from standard
repositories.
I pasted a percentage copied from a pdf (or from a rough text file) into a
cell. Suppose A1.
Something like this:
13%
There is no white spaces nor form feeds into the cell, I carefully checked.
I can make arithmetic with this cell (f.i. =A1*2 gives 0,26).
If I format the cell as a percentage, LO adds a ' at the start of the cell:
'13%
transforming thus this cell into a text. This cell become unusable, arithmetic
doesn't recognise it as a number. Text to number extension say "nothing to do".
I have to erase the ' by hand as the sole solution.
If I don't format the cell as a %, I can't modify the precision of the number
(number of digits after the , (Italian) or . (English). So, apparently, from an
arithmetic point of view, LO treats this cell as a percentage, but is is unable
to modify precision, considering it as text from a different point of view.
This doesn't happens if I input the same string (13%) from the keyboard.
You can imagine when a user like me have to paste a huge range of such data.
No way to transform the whole range into a range of % cells, but changing every
cell one by one by hand. Search and replace doesn't find the ' at the beginning
of the cell, and Text to number extension is unable to detect the '13% as a
string, and writes "nothing to do".
This behaviour is crazy and incoherent.

@Timur: And in what way is the process by which the document was created is
relevant? I have a 200-page document, created in 2010 and still modified from

scratch for LibreOfiice to display it as expected?

Of course, there is a workaround. Any modification that changes table height
fixes it. The problem is, this should be done to every large table in the
document every time it is opened.

One-line two-column large table is different, this is not it.
I think this bug should remain open only if recreated from scratch.

Could you do tests with version 5.0.4 or even 5.1?
https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Installing_in_parallel/Linux
For 5.1: http://www.libreoffice.org/download/pre-releases/

Set to NEEDINFO.
Change back to UNCONFIRMED, if the problem persists with recent versions.

Nope, that is not a problem here. Personally, I've no issue with showing the
x.y.z label in the recent stanza of the dialog (the code is in the linked
update.php URL above).

Rather, the issue here, is that we are no longer correctly connecting to the
TDF update server.

An install that worked correctly before--has stopped connecting, and we get a
unintelligible "checking for update failed" message. Also, that the dialog is
uninformative as to why and could use some dev attention especially as with bug
95183 and bug 95184 it has broken badly for Windows XP users (a libcurl
change).
