[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 93249] Word counter freezing
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=93249 --- Comment #9 from David García--- Hello, Raal, Sorry for taking so long to upload the document, but it’s been time-consuming to replace the letters, as the number of replacements amounted to several hundred thousand in some cases and, as a result, LO would often get stuck, having to start again. The original LO document, the one before the replacements, was converted from a DOC file using LO 4.4.4.3. Now, I’ve edited the document on LO 5.0.4.2 and I’ve noticed that both word count and page count are carried out before the document is open. Therefore, LO 5.4.0.2 has fixed my problems: 1. Word count doesn’t freeze any more. 2. The number of words is now approximately correct (2 941 795 words of the LO document vs 2 939 184 words of the Word 2013 document). I say approximately because I don’t know which number is wrong. 3. The new document is open faster: it takes less than 1 minute (as opposed to more than 5 minutes) to open the file and display the word and page count. Should I set this thread as “resolved” or the administrator does? As I have to be compatible with other users I save the documents as .xls files. When I add internal links (to other tables in the same document) under Elementary, this is quick and smooth. Under Win 7 if feels like minutes until the window for inserting a link opens. When I have inserted the links under Win 7, then edit some links in the document under Elementary and then again open it under Win 7, all internal links are corrupted. The initial two letters of the target names are missing. E.g. #Table 1 then reads #ble 1. The discussion here suggests that it will now show a "hint" of the save status of the document; so it does but the faint blue star is a poor replacement of the very clear status indicator which existed before. Could this be made rather more obvious? https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=96590 --- Comment #21 from t...@tim-passingham.co.uk --- This indication does need to be very clear. To cut a longish story short there are issues with Base (and maybe other modules) and Macros whereby if you do not manually save first, but close and wait until it asks if you want to save and then say 'save', it tends to crash quite frequently. Unfortunately I have been unable to create a reliable repeatable example of this, and it sometimes crashes even when I do manually save first (as in #96877). So please ensure that any indication that a save is required is really really clear. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 97721] New: Checkboxes and radio buttons are displayed oddly in the menu (with KDE)
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=97721 Bug ID: 97721 Summary: Checkboxes and radio buttons are displayed oddly in the menu (with KDE) Product: LibreOffice Version: unspecified Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64) OS: Linux (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: UI Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: benedi...@openmailbox.org User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:44.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/44.0 Build Identifier: LibreOffice 5.1.0.3 When having the package libreoffice-kde4 installed buttons in the menu look strange. (see subsequently files picture) Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. click e.g. on "View" in the menu bar 2. look at the icons there Actual Results: Especially the checkboxes and radio buttons look odd. The blue background is bigger than the buttons. Expected Results: The buttons look like normal "KDE buttons". [Information automatically included from LibreOffice] Locale: de Module: SpreadsheetDocument [Information guessed from browser] OS: Linux (All) OS is 64bit: yes This issue has occured on every linux distribution I have used in the last time with KDE Plasma 5 (i. e. with if I remember correctly each of openSUSE Leap 42.1, Kubuntu 15.04 and 15.10, Debian testing). In addition to that this is not a new bug – it also existed in Libreoffice 5.0. When I remove the package 'libreoffice-kde4' and install 'libreoffice-gnome' instead it does indeed look better, but – I mean – when there is the option to use a Qt/KDE based interface, I would like to take advantage of it.
