[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 93249] Word counter freezing

2016-02-10 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=93249

Hello, Raal,

Sorry for taking so long to upload the document, but it’s been time-consuming
to replace the letters, as the number of replacements amounted to several
hundred thousand in some cases and, as a result, LO would often get stuck,
having to start again.

The original LO document, the one before the replacements, was converted from a
DOC file using LO 4.4.4.3. Now, I’ve edited the document on LO 5.0.4.2 and I’ve
noticed that both word count and page count are carried out before the document
is open.

Therefore, LO 5.4.0.2 has fixed my problems:

1. Word count doesn’t freeze any more.
2. The number of words is now approximately correct (2 941 795 words of the LO
document vs 2 939 184 words of the Word 2013 document). I say approximately
because I don’t know which number is wrong.
3. The new document is open faster: it takes less than 1 minute (as opposed to
more than 5 minutes) to open the file and display the word and page count.

Should I set this thread as “resolved” or the administrator does?

Thanks,

David

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 97708] New: Internal Links in a Calc Document get corrupted when Document ist used in Calc under Elementary OS and Win7

2016-02-10 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=97708

Bug ID: 97708
Summary: Internal Links in a Calc Document get corrupted when
Document ist used in Calc under Elementary OS and Win7
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 4.2.8.2 release
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Calc
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: rai...@web.de

I am using Libre Office under Elementary OS (Version: 4.2.8.2 Build-ID:
420m0(Build:2)) and also under Win 7 (Version: 4.4.7.2, Build-ID:
f3153a8b245191196a4b6b9abd1d0da16eead600).
As I have to be compatible with other users I save the documents as .xls files.

When I add internal links (to other tables in the same document) under
Elementary, this is quick and smooth. Under Win 7 if feels like minutes until
the window for inserting a link opens.

When I have inserted the links under Win 7, then edit some links in the
document under Elementary and then again open it under Win 7, all internal
links are corrupted. The initial two letters of the target names are missing.
E.g. #Table 1 then reads #ble 1.
External links (www.xyz) are not affected.

Thus I am also selecting the option "compression without loss" (that change
nothing), and I am in the french translation :).

The export works, but the exported sheet is not trimmed to selected elements.

2016-02-10 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=96590

Just installed 5.1.0.3 (x86 on Win10 x64 Enterprise fully updated) and noted
the annoying change in the save button function. The discussion here suggests
that it will now show a "hint" of the save status of the document; so it does
but the faint blue star is a poor replacement of the very clear status
indicator which existed before.

Could this be made rather more obvious? If there really must be this "always
save" function here, might I suggest making the default icon (for a saved or
unaltered document) grey and that the icon changes to the standard one if the
document has changed?

Hi RaiPal,

Thanks for filing. I've experienced the same recently on an older installation.
On Lubuntu. 4.2 is really old - for LibreOffice habits.

Now 4.4 doesn't get any more updates, afaiknow. I can't test it on Windows too.
Sorry.

2016-02-10 Thread bugzilla-daemon

Bug ID: 97712

 Component: LibreOffice
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: kre...@email.com

I'm trying to build Libreoffice using clang++ and libc++ on Linux.

libc++ itself uses LLVM's libc++abi as the ABI library. The problem arises
because Libreoffice code tries to use __cxa_exception, which isn't made public
in libc++abi, leading to build failure.

/home/armin/src/libreoffice-5.1.0.3/bridges/source/cpp_uno/gcc3_linux_x86-64/share.hxx:144:17:
error: no type named '__cxa_exception' in namespace '__cxxabiv1'

error: use of undeclared identifier '__cxa_exception'; did you mean
'__cxa_free_exception'?

Is there a way libreoffice can move from this code to a more generic one?

The behavior is correct.

What you're missing the insertion of the special field "Next record". You can
find it in the Database tab of the "Insert => Field => More Fields… (Ctrl +
F2).

Just add it to the end of the content of your label.

Otherwise the record set is just advanced per document, so you get three pages
for you three entries, all with the same record entries.

AFAIK this was never different. Probably there are some generated labels, which
insert the field automatically - don't know.

A Writer document with a ChemDraw OLE object inside.

The attached documents has a ChemDraw OLE object inside. Double-Clicking it
normally opens ChemDraw, where the content is displayed correctly. The content
is, however, not displayed at all in LibreOffice (it should contain a benzene
ring as well as a green protein). Other OLE objects are working as expected.

Apache OpenOffice Writer in the newest Version (4.1) displays the content

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 97632] Export PDF "selection" option do no work

2016-02-10 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=97632

OK, thank to Raal, I will precise the issue in my opinion.

When select a set of elements, the export to pdf correctly only export the
selected elements.

But it also export the rest of slid.

This behavior is incorrect in my opinion as an export to other format (e.g.
svg) using the same option "selection" produce and image trimmed to selected
elements.

In my opinion, the export to pdf using the "selection" option should produce a
trimmed pdf document reduced to selected elements (act like export to svg for
example).

see clarely a redrawed box. Just for enhancement don't redraw if the pointer is

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 96590] UI: save icon does not give a hint of the document status

2016-02-10 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=96590

--- Comment #21 from t...@tim-passingham.co.uk ---
This indication does need to be very clear.

To cut a longish story short there are issues with Base (and maybe other
modules) and Macros whereby if you do not manually save first, but close and
wait until it asks if you want to save and then say 'save', it tends to crash
quite frequently. Unfortunately I have been unable to create a reliable
repeatable example of this, and it sometimes crashes even when I do manually
save first (as in #96877).

So please ensure that any indication that a save is required is really really
clear. I don't really understand the reason for the change to Save (rather
than Save As) , but I'm sure it makes sense to the design team.

the middle somewhere ;)

Mind that there is excellent choice in user support (*) for such questions.
Then of course real bugs should be reported.

Bug ID: 97721
Summary: Checkboxes and radio buttons are displayed oddly in
the menu (with KDE)
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: unspecified
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: UI
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: benedi...@openmailbox.org

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:44.0) Gecko/20100101
Firefox/44.0
Build Identifier: LibreOffice 5.1.0.3

When having the package libreoffice-kde4 installed buttons in the menu look
strange. (see subsequently files picture)

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. click e.g. on "View" in the menu bar
2. look at the icons there

Actual Results:
Especially the checkboxes and radio buttons look odd. The blue background is
bigger than the buttons.

Expected Results:
The buttons look like normal "KDE buttons".

OS: Linux (All)
OS is 64bit: yes

This issue has occured on every linux distribution I have used in the last time
with KDE Plasma 5 (i. e. with if I remember correctly each of openSUSE Leap
42.1, Kubuntu 15.04 and 15.10, Debian testing). In addition to that this is not
a new bug – it also existed in Libreoffice 5.0. When I remove the package
'libreoffice-kde4' and install 'libreoffice-gnome' instead it does indeed look
better, but – I mean – when there is the option to use a Qt/KDE based
interface, I would like to take advantage of it.
