Bug ID: 98994
Summary: Text of an imported CDR7 file outside of the SVG
document.
   Product: libcdr
   Version: unspecified
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: General
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: nico...@yahoo.fr

Created attachment 123971
  --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=123971&action=edit
Original document (Corel Draw 7)

Hi,

The bug was first reported in the Inkscape bug tracker
(https://bugs.launchpad.net/inkscape/+bug/1563064 "corel 7- fonts not opened in
a graphic layout"), with Inkscape 0.91.
Also reproduced with the latest cdr2xhtl utility (based on libcdr-0.1.2).

The text exists in the generated SVG document, but with a huge vertical offset.
For example, the first defined text is:

with y far outside the document.

I don't understand why you want I get LibreOffice from the website, because
It's the same version I have.

For now, I need LibreOffice for business use, so I did not want to try another
version, but I will do it soon. Promised ;)

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 98993] New: Rounding off entries distorts line spacing

2016-03-30 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=98993

Bug ID: 98993
Summary: Rounding off entries distorts line spacing
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.1.1.3 release
  Hardware: x86 (IA32)
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: bruce.byfi...@gmail.com

LibreOffice (and OpenOffice.org) used to allow line spacing in paragraph styles
to be set to one-tenth of a point. However, for the last few releases, LO
automatically rounds off whatever figure is entered.

Although these are small numbers, they mean that a font is displayed in a way
contrary to its metrics. For example, an average 12 point font would ordinarily
default to 14.4 points of line spacing. However, in the recent releases, it
would display as 14 points, which is almost certain to look cramped.

This problem can be worked around by setting line spacing proportionally (that
is, as a percentage). However, this workaround requires working back and forth,
translating between percentages and points to get an exact setting.

However, if the field was returned to its earlier setting, designers could work
directly with the Fixed line spacing setting, instead of juggling two different
measurement systems.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 98992] New: No way to disable AutoText

2016-03-30 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=98992

Bug ID: 98992
Summary: No way to disable AutoText
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.1.1.3 release
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: LibreOffice
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: jonbo...@gmail.com

There is no way to disable AutoText or change the AutoText for three default
Categories.

Even though I already turned off autocomplete and autocorrect completely, LO
makes suggestions for a few words and will then replaces them if I press return
right afterwards. For instance, ACK then return gets replaced by
Acknowledgement. You then return gets replaced by Yours Truly. The replacements
only happen after I press return. I don't want any of these replacements. They
completely break the flow of my writing process and has often made LO unusable
in writing certain fast-paced scenes (since I use a lot of single word
paragraphs in fast-paced scenes). I've even cleared out the autocomplete and
autocorrect table by deleting all the entries on top of turning off
autocomplete and autocorrect completely.

After a lot of searching, I found my problem is connected to the AutoText
feature, which is listed under Editing (right below the Find & Replace option).
The suggestions and replacement LO inflicts on me are in the Standard category.

But despite what the help pages say about the AutoText option and deleting
entires, the help page is wrong. None of the default entries can be deleted the
way it says. I've found no way to delete the default AutoText settings so
nothing is replaced. I've found no way to turn off AutoText completely either.
(Turning it off complete is preferred)

I tried posting on AskLibreoffice for help and it turns out another person had
the same problem.

There is no way to disable AutoText. Since there is a way to disable
autocomplete/autocorrect, I'm assuming this is an accidential oversight.

I tried going to the AutoText dialog then to the Categories there.

However, the only Category I was allowed to delete was "My Auto Text". When I
selected any other Category ("Business Cards, Work", "Only for Templates", and
"Standard") the delete button was disabled (dark gray and clicking didn't
nothing.)

When I tried to delete anything inside the Categories, I encountered the same
problem, meaning for the categories "Business Cards, Work", "Only for
Templates", and "Standard" i could not delete the entries. I could not even
edit the entries (editting the entries so that the replaced text matched the
originally typed text would work similar to deleting the entry.)

I tried checked LO 5.0 and then the most recent release of LO 5.1.1.3. In the
recent release the AutoText in the menu system was moved to tools, but I still
could not find any option to disable AutoText nor was I able to delete or edit
the offending Categories.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 81894] FORMATTING: Text wrap in a cell prevents spell-check context menu accessibility

2016-03-30 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=81894

Libre Office Version 5.1.1.3
Checked on Windows 10 Pro and Windows 7 Pro SP1

I can confirm this bug is still present - specifically, with wrapped text in a
cell, spelling errors are highlighted with the red underline on all lines in
the cell, but the spelling check context menu can only be accessed for the
first line of the multi-line wrapped cell.

This bug has been around for a few years now, which is very disappointing as it
is a regression and the feature used to work in earlier versions (I'm sure it
worked in version 3)

We use spreadsheets for work logs, with lots of multi-line wrapped cells and
this bug is a real pain - please could the priority be escalated? ,
particularly as it is a regression and has been around too long.

Thanks,

Pete

R7 distribution and there WAS NO such problem. While LO from ROSA's
repositories does have this problem.

As far as I know, downloadable RPMs and DEBS are statically compiled and take
all necessary libraries with them...

Thank you for your comments.

#3/7/8/9 I did search before posting, but initially did not make the connection
with fdo#93894. Thanks for finding that; I will follow there.

#5 Indeed seems fixable using an absolute address. No idea why it was defined
relative, probably pebkac. Will ignore this for now as I have no additional
information.

#6 I do not recall testing this specific issue on 5.0.x, so filed new bug
regarding 5.1.1.3. See

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 98990] New: Defining a named range for complete column or row results in broken expression

2016-03-30 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=98990

Bug ID: 98990
Summary: Defining a named range for complete column or row
results in broken expression
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.1.1.3 release
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Mac OS X (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Calc
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: brad...@bradleysepos.com

Created attachment 123963
  --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=123963&action=edit
named-expression-bugs.ods

In the attached Calc spreadsheet, I can no longer define a name for a row or
column.

Steps to reproduce (tested LO 5.1.1.3 on OS X 10.10.5 Yosemite):

1. Select row 53 in its entirety by clicking its row number. In the Name Box,
attempt to define a new name by typing "NonTaxableIncome". The name will be
defined improperly as budget!r53 instead of Budget!R53 and will not function.
Modifying the definition to Budget!R53:R53 works (per
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=98970#c2).

2. Attempt to define a column name similarly. Same issue.

Other issues with the document are likely related to fdo#93894/fdo#98970

An archive containing the document I've been having issue with and screenshots
of the document in LO 4.4, LO 5.1 and MS Word 2016

I have an .odt document that I use as a template.
The document was created some time ago using OOo 3, and includes a series of
tables.

It worked flowlessly up to LibreOffice 4.3.

Starting with LO 4.4, some of the tables are not rendered.
The tables are still part of the document, because if I do search for the text
label they contain, I do not get a "no matches found" error, but I can't see
nor edit the table content, and the issue persists in LO 5.1

The tables are properly displayed in prior versions of the software, as well as
in Microsoft Word.

I attached screenshots of the document in both versions of LibreOffice and MS
Word, as well as a stripped down version of the document

If you open a file in a normal manner, the file is opened with the cursor at
the last edited position (which is a very useful feature).

However, if you have LO writer pinned to the taskbar, and you right-click on
the icon and select a file from the "recently opened" list, the file opens and
sets the cursor to the top of the file.

Is this a bug though ? After all, it took the string you fed it, warts and all.
I know quite a few web server logins that don't delete added spaces from the
end of a string, nor is this something that one finds in console logins either.

I would be inclined to mark this as notourbug, unless behaviour elsewhere in
similar dialogs is configured to automatically delete such empty spaces (there
might be, I haven't checked)

2016-03-30 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=98965

I have actually found an easier way to reproduce the problem from scratch. It
seems to be related to mishandling the vertical tab character when converting
to xlsx. I don't know whether other characters are also causing similar issues.

Here is an example. Generate a minimal table:
# echo -e "abcde\v" > test.tsv

Convert the table to xls and then back to csv:
# localc --convert-to xls test.tsv
# localc --convert-to csv test.xls
# cat test.csv
The output is
> abcde

Convert the table to xlsx and then back to csv:
# localc --convert-to xlsx test.tsv
# localc --convert-to csv test.xlsx
# cat test.csv
The output is empty.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 98986] New: Mailmerge - modifying documents before sending/printing is not possible

2016-03-30 Thread bugzilla-daemon

   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.2.0.0.alpha0+ Master
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer

  Reporter: oliver.spe...@cib.de

- Run & finish mail merge wizard
You find out, that it might be necessary to edit some of the resulting
documents so you call "Edit Individual Documents"
You can only close what you see if you either throw your changes away or save
the document you see. Now you decide to call "Save Merged Documents"
-> the resulting documents are created again and you are no able to modify them
before they are saved. The same applies to Printing/e-Mailing

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 98965] FILESAVE: Conversion from xls to xlsx fails due to weird character inside a cell

2016-03-30 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=98965

I am unable to generate an xls file from scratch with the same issue. However,
if I take the original xls file with the issue
(http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/MiamiMultiMediaURL/1-s2.0-S0140673614617050/1-s2.0-S0140673614617050-mmc2.xls/271074/html/S0140673614617050/8362fd82294e4f65e12123ba7f198387/mmc2.xls),
I copy the cell from sheet 5, row 129, column 9 (the one with the vertical tab
at the end of the text) and I copy it into a new spreadsheet and save it as a
new xls file with localc (release 5.0.5.2), then I now have a minimalist xls
file with the same issue. You can see the result here:
https://www.dropbox.com/sh/6a6a2dz7dpfcesd/AAB8d-Uv2CvxSnxc2lZJg2QRa?dl=0

This works fine:
# localc test.xls
This shows that the text disappeared:
# localc --convert-to xlsx test.xls
# localc test.xlsx

I want to add that this is indeed a very serious issue as the problem arises
also when you convert the file using "Save As..." from the GUI, that is, no
error message is displayed and yet several cells of the spreadsheet disappear.

It looks empty, but you can see the content of the selected cell in formatting
window

Today the file opened correctly, but then I updated to fresh. An .ods file,
saved as such from an .xls, created originally by Econet (financial software)
on another machine (list of unpaid bills with reference numbers and bank
accounts etc).

The cells look empty, except for the cells I have myself written with
LibreOffice, on several days. So the conversion from the .xls is the problem -
I tried with the original .xls, and the cells look empty. But the info is there
all the time. When you select a cell, you can see the content, just not in the
cell but on the formatting window. I tried changing the font color and size,
didn't help. Background color makes no difference, editing the content of the
cell by just adding something there, nope.
Luckily I was able to get the data I needed to pay the bills.

I just tried opening another .xls file (mailed to me by a friend, don't know
what software it was created with)), and it opened normally. Econet is old
version, probably saves in old .xls format. At work I use Still version of
LibreOffice, and there have been no problems with files.

Attached edited version of the file.

Maybe not the biggest problem, but still...

Best regards,

Tapani K

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 98954] EXPORT to PNG: Background Transparency is Lost

2016-03-30 Thread bugzilla-daemon

   See Also||https://bugs.documentfounda
   ||tion.org/show_bug.cgi?id=96

As Armin indicates in bug 96922 c#15, I don't believe bitmap export to PNG with
alpha channel transparency has ever been implemented for Writer.

Bitmap export from Writer to JPEG and PNG was implemented as a feature for the
4.1 release, prior to that export was only to HTML or PDF. Addition of
transparency to frames in Writer was implemented at 4.2 and refined at 4.3.

Frames of individual images, draw objects, paragraphs, and even the page canvas
correctly retain their transparency as set for the frame--distinct from Area
from 4.2 onward. But the Writer bitmap export has never supported a PNG alpha
channel for the page, unlike the Draw export to PNG with alpha channel
provides.

I suppose it might be a reasonable enhancement. I see a use case for preparing
alpha channel PNG using Writers better text and paragraph manipulation as more
efficient than text boxes in Draw.

Beleive we can resolve this invalid, or morph it to an enhancement.

@Armin?

I have a similar problem with LO 5.1.0.3 on a Mac.

I have a rectangular grid of numbers, and want to find the total for each row.
If I put =sum(c4:r4) in the top cell of the column holding the sums, and then
copy the formula to all cells below (ctrl-C, highlight cells, ctrl-V) then I
get zero for each row. However, if I highlight the first half of the column
(about 50 rows), and paste into that, then highlight the second half and paste
into that, it works.

Franklin, Raal: Unfortunately I am having trouble reproducing it :-(

I tried in the recent master (and libreoffice-5-1), and the problem did not
appear to me. I tried to revert the fix from bug 98657; and still I cannot
reproduce the behaviour.

Franklin, Raal: Can you please re-try with the recent libreoffice-5-1 nightly
build? Is the behaviour Windows-only? (I tested on Linux.)

If you still see the problem, can you provide me with detailed step-by-step
instructions? Like

* click mouse in A9
* press Delete
* type =sum(C9:I9)
* now you can see the wrong result

Or something - that will help me to reproduce it. Thank you!

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 98980] New: UI Slide layout selection from menu and in sidebar panel out of sync

2016-03-30 Thread bugzilla-daemon

Bug ID: 98980

panel out of sync
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.2.0.0.alpha0+ Master
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: minor
  Priority: medium
 Component: Impress
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: katarina.behr...@cib.de

1. Open Impress (new document, but not necessarily).

2. Make sure sidebar is visible and no object on the slide is selected, so that
slide layout sidebar panel is shown

=> notice the layout of the current slide is highlighted/selected in the
sidebar panel

3. Now go to the new menu Slide > Slide Layout and pick a different layout

=> notice the slide layout itself changes, but the value selected in the
sidebar panel remains the same. I'd expect it to change as well.

=> additionally, given that those slide layouts are mutually exclusive, maybe
they could be presented as radio buttons in the menu ... but that's a matter of
taste

Hi Jacques,

Thanks for filing and sorry for the trouble.

I think you first need to check Use paper from printer preferences at the tab
Options.
(There is an issue to improve this - have too look for that. Obviously the
positioning is wrong)

Can you please check if that works for you?

Cheers - Cor

But if we have code passes 0L as a vararg where the callee is expecting a
pointer, this is already broken for 64-bit Windows, where long is 32-bit,
right?

2016-03-30 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=98954

Note: In the attached ODT file in the current dev version of LibreOffice Writer
(5.1.2.1) and in previous "working" versions prior to LibreOffice Writer
5.0.0.0, I have the following setting:

* Format -> Page -> Transparency -> No Transparency

This setting, in versions of LiberOffice Writer prior to 5.0.0.0, worked fine
and resulted in a transparency outside of the grey borders of the imported
image.

It no longer works and there is no transparency in the exported image. I have
tried using the "Transparency -> Transparency 100%" setting and this still does
not work.

i'm not sure if it's a good idea to do this as an easy-hack:
there is a nasty corner case with vararg calls that could bite us

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 98979] New: Cannot print in landscape mode

2016-03-30 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=98979

Bug ID: 98979
Summary: Cannot print in landscape mode
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: unspecified
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: j.j.limp...@gmail.com

Created attachment 123950
  --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=123950&action=edit
Dymo label layout
(/home/jacques/.config/libreoffice/4-suse/user/template/Etiketten)

Until latest update 5.0.4.2 I could print labels in landscape mode. If I choose
now print options the option orientation is greyed out and cannot be changed
from portrait to landscape. It has nothing to do with the driver for the Dymo
label printer, it shows this problem with all the printers I have installed (HP
and Brother). See attachments.

Same applies to choosing from the main menu printer options --> choose printer
-> properties.

Image01.jpg = label to be printed. I use attached Dymo 11356.ott layout.
Image02.jpg = Pop up screen after choosing print. Now the preview image shows
printing in portrait, unitll last update I choose properties ("Eigenschappen")
Image03.jpg = Properties of printer, paper. Cannot be changed anymore.

Operating system is openSUSE 13.2, KDE 4, LibreOffice 5.0.4.2.

After recalc F9 the SUM is still incorrect in 5.1.1.3, but correct in
5.2.0.0.alpha0+. You have to stay on cell with SUM formula and press f9.

Please retest with developer version. You can download it here:

Thank you
