Mind that as long as the selection is active, Enter pastes it.
And using Enter stops the selection.
I'm not sure if this has been documented or discussed by Kohei. but maybe it is
good to ask.

It is the sheet in the file with I have the problem. The problem isn't present
on the other sheets I expunged.

This is an old file (a lot of years), I use to check the calculation of factory
application for work time, and change formulas every time, about every year, to
update to news.
I repeat the problem: when I change any cell the program chrashed, sometime
when I press enter, but only after I installed 5.x LibO release I had this
effect.

I have to say that it's frequently the starting of restoration window at the
launching of LibOffice (Not only with this sheet, also with writer od base).

For me it's impossible to understand the cause of the crashes and so I tried to
install OpenOffice, and it work properly with this file.

I hope to be useful for you, and us!

I agree with Jean-Baptiste, there is no bug.

With EN, space has no special meaning, (it is comma which is considered as
thousand separator) so
# ###.00 "something"
will insert two space characters in the result, but no thousand separator. You
can check with a huge value bigger than 1 million: 1,243,456 gives
1234 567.00 something

But if you use a language which considers space as thousand separator (like RU
or FR), then LibO considers the two spaces as million and thousand separator,
and simply ignores second one if value is less than one million.
# ###,00 "something"
gives for 1,243,456
1 234,57something
which can be read as 1,234.57 thousands
As said by Jean-Baptiste, or in your comment 0 step 9, you have to insert your
second space character inside your quotes (it is not a workaround, it is as it
has to be written):
# ###,00" something"
Otherwise, LibO can not guess if you insert a thousand separator or text space
character.

Conclusion: when you change language, you have to adapt both decimal and
thousand separators.

Careful, you have to use English (or at least a language using dot as decimal
separator) as Format Number Language to apply examples of Forester. Or you have
to replace dot by your decimal separator (should be comma).
Your results indicate that dot is considered as a no-meaning character.

And remove '' in your format (Forester gave them to separate format from his
text).

In fact activation of features via shortcuts by accident is sometimes an
annoying experience. A user may rightfully expect to be able to abandon a

investigate possible workarounds.)

   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.1.2.2 release
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Installation
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org

When I was installing the newest version: 5.1.2.2 (downloaded via torrent.) All
the characters in other windows changed to different characters, I linked (NR1)
a screen of my irc client(hexchat). it went pretty fast, first only the
characters I typed, then I scrolled back. when I did that several other
characters also changed, afters like 10 seconds all characters had changed,
when I scrolled up to see the archived messages those had also changed.

When the installation was done the problem was gone in also about 10 seconds,
in the same order, first the text I was typing, then the newest messages, and
then the older ones. screenshot linked. (NR2) You can see in the second screen
that I could not see wheter cap was on or not, and not what I was typing.

martin: interesting - can you confirm that you notice the difference between
'OpenCL' and 'OpenGL' ? - one is for Graphics, one for Compute - I suspect that
the bug is an OpenGL related bug =) and un-related to OpenCL; particularly if
there is no opencl_ device log in the cache/ directory.

Is there any chance of trying with a development build and it would also be
interesting to have your OGL device log attached - so we can see what hardware
you're running on.

Thanks ! =)

2016-04-25 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=99258

--- Comment #13 from Armin Le Grand (CIB) ---
Doing the following:
- new creation/build of situation (c) in instdir, the program does not start.
- Change boostrap.ini 'UserInstallation=$SYSUSERCONFIG/LibreOffice/4' ->
'UserInstallation=$ORIGIN/..'
- Next start still does not work, but creates instdir/User dir, containing the
too-short registrymodifications.xcu file.
- Replacing this with a registrymodifications.xcu from e.g. a debug-built
office
-> next start works

Thus seems to be an error in initially creating registrymodifications.xcu in
UserInstallation.

not quite so.
This phenomenon started out of the blue - no problem before.
Checking again I found

Data - Calculate - Auto Calculate checked.

I changed to

Formula to Value

then the value appeared and the function switched to Auto Calculate again.

Value still visible with field width matching the value.

So, why did the Calculate function act this way?

The feature itself and also its activation/toggling are handled differently for
Writer and for Calc.

For Writer the Shortcut is working by default, for Calc it is not.

Thus to list the shortcut for 'LibreOffice' is a bug.
To NOT list it for Writer is another (related) bug IMO.

I will reopen the bug therefore resetting it to UNCONFIRMED.

Again: No "flamewar" intended. If someone will set the bug RESOLVED again I
will keep silent.

In daily Linux dbgutil bibisect version 2016-04-25, I see that View >
"Freeze Cells" offers three options ...
( ) Freeze Rows and Columns
( ) Freeze First Column
( ) Freeze First column
Each seems to work thusly:
  - If nothing is frozen, freeze as the option says.
  - Otherwise unfreeze.

It took me a minute to see what is happening, but the behaviour seems
somehwat logical. And the bold "freeze lines" are visible in the
background around the menu and submenu, providing feedback about what
the program is doing.

But I am unusual in preferring to work with the keyboard. The
spacebar invokes the highlighted submenu option and leaves the submenu
open, while clicking on the submenu option closes the view menu. If
you are just clicking, it is a nuisance to go through the menus twice
to switch freezing from First Column to First Row.

On balance, I think it would be better to add a fourth submenu option,
"Unfreeze", so that each submenu option simply makes the state as the
words describe. This makes all the functionality available with
fewer mouse clicks or with roughly the same number of keystrokes.
More importantly, the proposed behaviour is easier to describe.

How this would impact the toolbar button contemplated by bug 91013 I
do not know. I am adding Yousuf (Jay) Phillips to cc.

test file for reproducing (and illustrating) problem

LO 5.1.2.2 Windows 7

To reproduce the problem:

1. Draw an 'arc'
2. Save in .docx format
3. The arc will be converted to a filled shape, with the "arc" being lost.

Expected behavior:

1. Saved as an arc, without fill.

Attached document gives a test figure in .odt, and also shows what happens when
saved as .docx

a (debug-build) of

Version: 5.2.0.0.alpha1+ (x64)
Build ID: 2c562c6ae0970d175e9b219e75afd77fcd1fc490
CPU Threads: 8; OS Version: Windows 6.1; UI Render: default;
Locale: de-DE (de_DE)

Loaded it needs 7.086.876 KB memory - Argh! But works. Can scroll down to line
1048576 which is the last one.
Please do not expect the 32bit versions to import this.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 99258] Windows builds of master 5.2.0alpha1+ failing in Extension Manager on launch

2016-04-25 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=99258

On Windows 10 Pro 64-bit en-US

Copied the full User profile (not just the registrymodifications.xcu) from a /a
admin install and launch of today's TB39 build
(157469896ef56720f33676222b95e81c04ab5c72), to an /a admin install of today's
TB42 build (924126df792915092ee6201d1f068e43ffb80b67) and as above the TB42
build launches. Without the copied profile the TB42 builds still crashes during
initial launch and profile build.

Also, I was able to do the same for the 520alpha1 x86 build
(902b28a39528b6c92602e9b521a1d0861be1caf9) and have it run. But unable to
determine if all the dictionary/thesaurus, NLP solver, and Wiki publisher as
bundled are fully configured when opened with a copied user profile from TB39.

I tried to repeat the bug by creating the file again. There is no error. The

The issue is that for calc it's not properly established, and when customizing
for calc as edit/Record changes, change the state going to customize from
writer.

But in any case it is delectable.

So for me the bug here is that it should be set up by default for every app not
for LibreOffice.

Please adapt the title.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 99498] New: rtf table trwwidth support

2016-04-25 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=99498

Bug ID: 99498
   Summary: rtf table trwwidth support
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: unspecified
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: filters and storage
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: caol...@redhat.com

Created attachment 124628
  --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=124628&action=edit
cut down example

This example rtf uses trwwidth to attempt to set the width of a table row.
Currently we import it as super narrow columns. The intent seems to be an
approx 16cm wide table.

caolanm->vmiklos: Is there something we could do to make this "just work" ?

Tried restarting the machine? The installer bundles Source Code Pro, and if you
were using it in another app while LO was installing, it’s expected that the
other application will temporarily render wrongly while the font is replaced.

There’s a reason why installers recommend people to close all other programs…

You have the “libreoffice-gtk3” package installed. That package is
experimental. Remove it and LibreOffice will display as it used to be. (If you
somehow got the package automatically on upgrading, that’s a downstream —
distro — bug.)

There’s another bug report here, requesting that these icons be dynamically
recolored (useful for e.g. high-contrast mode), but for now, either remove the
package I indicated, change to another theme (Radiance, for example), or use
another icon theme.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 99499] New: FILEOPEN fails after upgrade

2016-04-25 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=99499

Bug ID: 99499
   Summary: FILEOPEN fails after upgrade
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.0.6.1 rc
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Calc
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: john.navra...@sbcglobal.net

Created attachment 124629
  --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=124629&action=edit
Spreadsheet which exhibits failure

Upgraded Fedora 23 which included Fedora Calc to 5.0.6.1. Spreadsheet
(attached) no longer can be opened. Waited 2 hours. Tried on another machine
(also upgraded) with same result. I had noticed that this spreadsheet was
taking what seemed to be a long time (several seconds) to load beforehand so I
suspect something in the spreadsheet itself is the cause.

'ps' shows minimal cpu usage by the Calc process - it consumes a second of user
time every several minutes. The system monitor doesn't show memory being
consumed, but there is a 10 KiB/s network traffic in and out (same data volume
for each) which I cannot explain.

The application could be shutdown without resorting to 'kill', in which case I
was prompted to wait or to force a shutdown. No other LO application will
start when in this state.

An attempt to start Writer, for example, fails with no apparent action. When
Calc is again shutdown after attempting to start Writer, a Calc is immediately
started to begin a recovery of the default empty spreadsheet. Such a recovery
attempt is not initiated if there is no attempt to start Writer.

LO 5.0.6.1 ('about' doesn't say 'rc')
Build ID: 5.0.6.1-1.fc23

uname -r: 4.4.7-300.fc23.x86_64+debug

Thank you very much for pointing this out to me.

It does beg the question as to how a document maintained by LibreOffice can
become non-conformant, but that is a question for another day.

It would also seem to be a bug that a non-conformant document would cause Calc
to hang up. Shouldn't I be able to attempt to open my mother's recipe for
Chicken Cacciatore without such behavior? What was Calc attempting with all
the network traffic? It would seem that more effective defense against
malformed input is in order. (I give you my spreadsheet as an example :)

I recovered the data by opening this file in Microsoft Excel 2007 which
complained about some unreadable content, apparently dropped the formulae, but
allowed me to export a CSV. I would hope that LO could do the same.
