[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 99941] New: Writer crashes when inactive in the background
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=99941 Bug ID: 99941 Summary: Writer crashes when inactive in the background Product: LibreOffice Version: 5.1.1.3 release Hardware: All OS: Windows (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Writer Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: debbiecus...@ymail.com I'm sorry to be vague as I know how important good data is, but I'm not sure what that would be. I'm new to LibreOffice and have only used a few days, but I'm already almost ready to uninstall it and go back to Open Office! Anyway, the problem is that OpenOffice (so far have only used Writer) crashes on me 2-3 times every night. The first time I had two files open and when I tried to recover both files were completely corrupted; anyway I have already reported that as another bug which appears to be unreproduceable so won't go into details. So since then I have tried to save my files every 30 seconds or so, and after Writer crashes I don't even TRY to recover my files. However it still crashes a lot, and most of the recent crashes have been when I have an open file just sitting in the background. I'm not actively using Writer, but am off in a browser window or elsewhere with my open file just sitting in the background. Then suddenly a message pops up that LibreOffice has stopped working and Windows is looking for a solution. I click the OK button and then my Writer goes away and so does my file. Obviously I have no data and no clue what I could provide other than a screen shot of the message. I don't see any sort of debugging tools among my Writer option. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 99940] HTML export: Formatting for text underlines decorations
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=99940 --- Comment #1 from Theodore Matula Jr. --- I was able to reproduce this bug on Version 5.2.0.0.alpha1+ in Windows 10. When exporting text with a colored underline as HTML, the colored underline is displayed as black. However, if both the font color and the underline color are changed to the same color, both colors are displayed correctly. If the font color and underline colors are different, the HTML will display both as whatever the font color is, overwriting the underline color. It seems that for a HTML file, the font color overwrites the underline color. Test with Red underline: 1. Open a new Writer Document 2. Type a word, highlight it, and press CTRL+U 3. Click Format>Character and select the Font Effects Tab 4. Change the Underline Color to Red and click ok 5. Click file>save as and save the document as .html 6. open the new html file Expected: The underline will be red. Actual: The underline is black. Test with red underline and red text: Repeat steps 1-3 in first test 4. Change the Underline Color and Font Color to Red and click ok 5. Click file>save as and save the document as .html 6. open the new html file Expected: The underline and font will be red. Actual: The underline and font is red. Test with red underline and Green text: Repeat steps 1-3 in first test 4. Change the Underline Color to red, the Font Color to green, and click ok 5. Click file>save as and save the document as .html 6. open the new html file Expected: The underline will be red and the font will be green. Actual: The underline and font are both green. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=99915 thomas.v.zimin...@gmail.com changed: What|Removed |Added Status|RESOLVED|REOPENED Resolution|WORKSFORME |--- --- Comment #5 from thomas.v.zimin...@gmail.com --- So it seems I spoke to soon, as the bug has reappeared. The file I am working on is quite long at 266 pages, 77,799 words, and 487,008 characters. I am wondering if this has something to do with it. Another odd thing that I noticed is that originally when I had updated to 5.1.3.2:Fedora24 version, I could change the bullet formatting with the toolbars just fine, with no crash. Now, after some editing of the original large file I am getting the crash again. On top of that, new files with random bulleted lists, also crash when I attempt to change the size of the bullet via dropdown toolbar menus. Steps: 1. Open a pre-existing LibreOffice Writer document or create a new LibreOffice Writer document. 2. Click on a bullet point or create a new bulleted list. 3. Using the Bullets On/Off button on the toolbar, a new bullet style is selected. 4. Immediate crash, and document recovery prompt appears. Expected Result: The bullet point format changes Actual Result: LibreOffice crashes I have attached a backtrace. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

I'm afraid I don't know anything about the dictionary/thesaurus, and how to work with them. In this case (comment 2 with my observations) my guess is that the suggestions are correct, but the stem isn't identified properly (finds "hop" for "hoping" and nothing for "hopping"). Could it be that the switches for affixes are not correct in the dictionary? current: hope/281 new: hope/MS For "hope" these are the relevant lines in the two dictionaries, but I don't know what the number stands for, and have trouble identifying what "MS" exactly is, even based on the affixes description. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 99937] Absolute references change when deleting/inserting rows/columns
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=99937 m.a.riosv changed: What|Removed |Added Status|UNCONFIRMED |RESOLVED CC||miguelangelrv@libreoffice.o ||rg Resolution|--- |NOTABUG --- Comment #1 from m.a.riosv --- Hi Zarko, Relative/absolute references have there main meaning for copy. If you delete a row that is in the middle of a referenced range, it's right the range is adjusted, the range has one less row and relative/absolute references has no effect on how this works. You can solve with OFFSET() function https://help.libreoffice.org/index.php?title=Calc/Spreadsheet_Functions&Language=en-US&System=WIN&Version=5.1#bm_id3148926 or with INDIRECT() https://help.libreoffice.org/index.php?title=Calc/Spreadsheet_Functions&Language=en-US&System=WIN&Version=5.1#bm_id3153922 but both are volatile functions, so if they are used intensively can slow down the calculation. Another option is take advantage of a limitation with named ranges, for those relative references are not adapted if you delete a row or a column in the range. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 99938] New: Calc uses 100% CPU and leaks memory when calculating moving average of full column
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=99938 Bug ID: 99938 Summary: Calc uses 100% CPU and leaks memory when calculating moving average of full column Product: LibreOffice Version: 5.1.3.2 rc Hardware: All OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Calc Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: rob...@octarineparrot.com Created attachment 125159 --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=125159&action=edit CSV file used to reproduce the problem When calculating a moving average for the attached CSV file, libreoffice uses 100% CPU, and uses increasing amounts of memory until I kill it. Steps to reproduce: 1) Open the attached CSV file 2) Select both columns 3) Data -> Statistics -> Moving Average - Input range should be `$scores2.$A$1:$B$1048576` - Results To should be `$C$1` - Grouped by columns - Interval 20 Clicking OK will then cause 100% CPU usage on one core, and gradually more memory usage. It managed to take 10 minutes on my machine and use 2GB of RAM before I killed it. If I select only the 142 rows of data then it calculates it almost instantly. Expected behaviour: The average should ignore the empty rows, and give a result as swiftly as just selecting the top 142. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 99937] New: Absolute references change when deleting/inserting rows/columns
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=99937 Bug ID: 99937 Summary: Absolute references change when deleting/inserting rows/columns Product: LibreOffice Version: 5.1.3.2 rc Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64) OS: Linux (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Calc Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: zza...@gmail.com Created attachment 125158 --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=125158&action=edit spreadsheet with data illustrating the problem First, I'm not sure if this is a bug or a expected behaviour and I'm sorry if I wasted your time... If I have absolute reference in a formula, and then delete rows or columns that are part of cell range defined by absolute references, the formula changes, the range defined by absolute references gets smaller. Similar for inserting rows/columns. In the example spreadsheet, there is a column and a row of data, and two formulas in B1 and C1, summing the data using absolute references. If I delete one or more rows containing data (right-click on selected rows, Delete rows), the formula in B1 changes, for example if I delete rows 10-12, the formula changes from =SUM($A$4:$A$20) to =SUM($A$4:$A$17). I was expecting for this to happen to non-absolute references, but not with absolute ones. And I could be wrong for expecting this. If this isn't a bug, but expected behaviour, is there a way to make references constant, so they don't change when deleting/inserting columns/rows? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 99932] Erratic behaviour of anchor point when figure is anchored "to the character" and the document is zoom-in or out
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=99932 --- Comment #1 from Theodore Matula Jr. --- I tested anchor behavior in relation to zoom level on Windows 10 with versions 5.2.0.0 Alpha1+ and 5.1.3.2 with the same results. As you zoom out, the anchor moves to the left. As you zoom in, the anchor moves to the right. This can ause the anchor to move off the page and off the screen. I also tested this on OpenOffice 4.2.0.0 and had the same result as both LibreOffice tests, so this problem was probably inherited from OpenOffice. This problem only happens when the anchor is changed to "To Character", but not when it is "To Paragraph" or "To Page" Steps to reproduce: 1. Open a new Writer Document 2. Insert a picture: Click Insert>Image and choose an image 3. Under a picture, write a short paragraph 4. Right click the image and click Anchor>To Character 5. Move the anchor to a character in the paragraph 6. Zoom in and out with the zoom bar on the bottom right of the screen (or hold CTRL and use the mouse wheel) Actual Result: Anchor moves left and right as page is zoomed out and in respectively Expected Result: Anchor stays on its relative position on the page. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 99936] New: Clone Formating with Arrow Keys
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=99936 Bug ID: 99936 Summary: Clone Formating with Arrow Keys Product: LibreOffice Version: 5.1.3.2 rc Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64) OS: Linux (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: enhancement Priority: medium Component: Calc Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: john.linto...@gmail.com When using the Clone Formating tool in Calc, the user must select the cell, select the Clone Formating tool, and then click the target cell. In Excel, users can also use the Clone Formating tool (Format Painter) by using the arrow keys to clone formating to adjacent cells. For example, the user would select the cell, select the Clone Formating tool, and then press the right arrow key to clone the formating to the cell to the right of the selected cell. This speeds the process of formating adjacent cells which is a common use of the Clone Formatting tool. This enhancement would also increase the consistency with Excel functionality which will make the transition to Calc easier for current Excel users. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
