Miklos,
Roundtripping this file in 5.1(Bug 97090) causes the same issue as importing
with 5.3. Last time I saw something like this with Calc it was an issue of our
importer expecting 2007 transitional OOXML and our exporter generating strict
OOXML or vice versa. Could this be another 2007 vs strict OOXML issue?

Hi,

I just wanted to comment that, as a workaround, what I do is to 
1) uncompress the ODG file, 
2) change the mimetype from "application/vnd.oasis.opendocument.graphics" to 
"application/vnd.oasis.opendocument.presentation"
3) Zip all files in folders, and change the extension to ODP
4) Open the new file with LibO. It will argue that the file is damaged but it
can try to repair it. And it usually does.

Dirty, but it will work if you need it right now.

I have the same issue as of 5.1.3.2 in Windows 10 Professional 64bit on 2
machines.  I had to go back to an old version of oOO to complete the task. :<

Canon Lide 120 scanner and a Brother scanner.  
Works fine in any other applications.

It's not a 100% repeatable bug, as SOMETIMES it will work.

Steps:
Insert > Media > Scan > Select Source (Correct source is selected)
Insert > Media > Scan > Request > Preview
Insert > Media > Scan > Request > Scan
Scan hangs on transferring data and says "wait..." when I cancel.
I must kill the process in task manager to "Cancel."

for all non-native file types that were mapped by the installer to use
LibreOffice.

Proposed fix is to use an intermediate macro that assembles the
/program/{app} string to avoid having a trailing backslash mess
things up in the preprocessor.

I can confirm the existence of this bug on Windows 10 in version
5.2.0.0alpha1+. It seems that Hyperlinks to scenarios do not do anything, but
scenarios loaded through the navigator (F5) work as intended. In addition, I
can also confirm that if a sheet with a scenario in it is saved as a .xslx
file, then any non-scenario text written on a scenario will be overwritten with
the scenario text.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Open a new Calc Sheet
2. Highlight Cells A1-A5 and click Tools->Scenarios
3. Name the Scenario and set the display border to whatever you want, then
click OK
4. Click cell B1, then press the hyperlink button (CTRL+K)
5. Click the Document button on the left, then click the button next to "Target
in Document"
6. Expand "Sheets", select your scenario, then click Apply. 
7. Under Text, Name the Hyperlink and press OK
8. Type words in cells A1-A5
9. CTRL-Click the Hyperlink

Expected result:
The Hyperlink will reset the selected cells to their status in the saved
scenario

Actual result:
The hyperlink does not do anything. the sheet is unchanged

Hi guys,

I spend some time with fiddling around with one annoying GUI bug. It affects at
least the components Writer and Calc.

Target:

I wanted to create some document templates with file sharing passwords so that
only allowed users can edit the templates.

Steps to reproduce:

Create a new document (in Writer for example). Save as a template file (ott)
with file sharing password. Go to LibreOffice main window. Select 'Edit
Templates', select template, click 'Edit'. Template will open in read only
mode. If you click 'Edit Document' nothing happens.
The same happens for file encrypted templates but the opening procedure will
cancel without message before 'Edit Document' appears.

Workaround:

After the try to open the template, it will appear in the recent document list.
If you open it from there and you click 'Edit Document', access is granted.

My machine:
GNU/Linux (Debian jessie)
amd64
Libreoffice Still 5.0.6.3 (official debs, not in your above list of versions)

Impress crashes when switching to Notes, Display Mode for Master slides

to reproduce:
* open a new impress document
* in the standard toolbar click Display Modes
* select Master Modes, Notes
-> crash
see backtrace

note: didn't add this to 
bug 100191 'crash: switch to Display Mode: Notes via toolbar'
because this is an SIGABRT in a shared_ptr, while former was a SIGSEGV due
nullptr dereference

an other crash with very similar backtrace happens if one leaves Display Mode
Outline to any other Display Mode

to reproduce:
* open a new impress document
* in the standard toolbar click Display Modes
* select Edit Modes, Outline
* Click Display Modes again
* select Normal (or any other mode but Outline)
-> crash

In bug 4 it was found that there is a problem with resolving the style for
an element where there is a CSS * selector rule. This originally manifested in
a crash, as the call getFontFamily() would give different results on the first
and second call. The patch on that bug fixes the crash, but does not resolve
the underlying issue.

A full fix would resolve the crash even after reverting

(While that commit should be reverted for testing it is still useful, as it
saves making multiple calls to a function that must traverse the svg style
hierarchy).

With '*' CSS rules the style resolution can still be wrong, even with out
causing a crash (see attached test). I suspect solving this amounts to the same
thing.

I also cannot reproduce this bug with version 5.2.0.0alpha1+ in Windows 10. I
opened the attached file in notepad++ and saw a link, but when I opened it in
writer, the document was blank. I also preformed the following test. As Raal
said, could you go more into detail about the reproduction steps and your
environment?

Steps to reproduce:
1. Open then attached RTF document (it is blank in writer)
2. Type in a URL, save the document in RTF format, and close it.
3. Open the RTF document again
4. Press enter while the text input cursor is in front of the URL
5. Type some words in the line above the URL
6. Save the document and close it again.
7. Reopen the document

Expected Result: the document has the words typed in step 5, followed by the
URL in the next line

Actual Result: the document has the words typed in step 5, followed by the URL
in the next line

Guide how to reproduce the bug is also in the document itself.

Hyperlinks to Scenarios in the same worksheet doesn't work in LO Calc 5.1.3.2.

Create a Scenario, and make a clickable Hyperlink for the Scenario in the same
document. The Scenario can be recalled from the Navigator, but the links in the
document itself will not work, wether they are created by dragging from the
Navigator, or by Cmd K (ctrl K in windows).

In the sample document I created a Scenario with empty yellow cells. To
reproduce the issue:

1. Type anything in any yellow cell(s).
2. Cmd click (ctrl click in windows) the hyperlink "Clear_Yellows".
 - Nothing happens.
 - This should have loaded the Scenario in which the yellow cells are empty.
3. Open the Navigator (F5) and click the "Scenarios" button.
4. Double-click the Scenario "Clear_Yellows".
 - The Scenario is now loaded and the yellow cells are cleared.


This bug causes data loss in two situations:

DATA LOSS 1 (permanent): If I enter data in the yellow fields, save the
document as .xslx and reopen, the data that was entered is lost. I guess the
empty Scenario was force-loaded overwriting the data that was in the cells when
saving.

DATA LOSS 2 (possible): If I save the Spreadsheet as .xls and reopen, clicking
on the link creates a new Sheet with the Scenario data. The Navigator still
shows the Scenario available for the original sheet, but if the second sheet is
deleted, the Scenario for the first sheet is deleted as well.

Using a MacBook Pro 15" 2010 running OSX 10.11.5.
Reproduced the bug in LO 5.1.1.3, 5.1.3.2 and LODev May-7-2016:
master-2016-05-07_00.24.03_LibreOfficeDev_5.2.0.0.alpha1_MacOS_x86-64

NOTE: The latest snapshot build is slightly different:
(master-2016-06-01_00.32.05_LibreOfficeDev_5.3.0.0.alpha0_MacOS_x86-64)
- A Hyperlink created in the new LODev by dragging from Navigator opens the
document at the SAVED state in a new window, unless I save the document first.
Then it does nothing. This seems to happen with .odt and .xlsx, but not .xls.

Patch forcing NorthWest window gravity

X11 window gravity affects how windows are repositioned when their parent is
resized. Setting a libreoffice top-level window gravity to something other than
NorthWest means that the window will move relative to its parent when the
parent is resized. 

By default, LibreOffice selects StaticGravity, which means that the application
window will not move relative to the screen as the parent is resized. So,
resizing the window to the right or down works "correctly", but resizing
leftwards or upwards moves the application window within the parent, leaving a
gap to the left or top of the application window within the frame.

Some window managers (metacity) smash the application window geometry to
NorthWest so that the application follows the window frame as it should. Others
do not adjust this value (xfwm4, twm), and so LibreOffice "breaks" in those
environments. That's why this problem doesn't appear on every desktop.

Note that there *is* a useful window gravity value in the WM_NORMAL_HINTS for
the application. LibreOffice has a separate parameter for this, and in that
case, StaticGravity is a reasonable default as it allows LibreOffice to
position toolbars and other contents on the screen without needing to adjust
for the window manager frame size.

The patch enclosed forces window gravity to NorthWest for all windows in all
cases. I can't imagine where this wouldn't be correct, but I haven't reviewed
all of the code using this function.

Akshay's work on the Template manager is moving along, but with current build
of master seem to have some issues with keyboard navigation.

The keyboard navigation into and out of the Template manager will need
additional work to obtain consistent behavior with the Recent Files thumbnail
navigation.

The  and +F10 should position between the main menu and the
template backing panel of the thumbnail views in the template manager.

 and +F6 should cycle between main menu, the vertical menu bar, and
the active template backing panel/thumbnail views.

Once in the template manager backing panel, the 4 cursor actions should be able
to reach all the thumbnails.  They don't now and are limited to 8 thumbnails
between two rows.

Using spelling dictionaries for languages that have no basic locale data in
LibreOffice does not work until the user accesses settings for writing aids.

Steps to reproduce:
- Create (an empty) spelling dictionary for language crl (East Cree):
  # touch /usr/share/hunspell/crl.aff
  # touch /usr/share/hunspell/crl.dic
- Start LibreOffice Writer
- Type in some text, select it and choose Format -> Character
- In the language combobox type the language code "crl" and click OK.
** Observe that there is no red underline under the text even though the
** language has changed to crl and none of the typed words exist in the
** empty spelling dictionary.
- Go to Tools -> Options -> Language Settings -> Writing Aids
- Do not change any settings, just click OK.
** Now the spell checker works and underlines all the typed words.

Expected result: spell checking should work immediately after changing the text
language.

The same results can be reproduced using Voikko spell checking extension with
real working dictionary so the issue is likely not related to Hunspell or using
empty dictionary.

Sorry can not reproduce. Please provide screen clips and perhaps a small sample
document.

Also, as of the 5.1 release you can now toggle each character to its Unicode
value, you can tease out exactly the character being pasted.

Dennis, your suggestion “If you do want to have both working, then use absolute
file paths“ is not a good idea, because it leads to the same issue when
documents are shared between users: /home/user1/  /home/user2/  In this case
the  hyperlinks will break again.

Markus, you said. “Everything here works as expected”. Does that means that the
Linux user has to accept that hyperlinks in LibreOffice break when shortcuts or
symlinks are used? On MS Windows LibreOffice has no such problems, here the
hyperlinks work perfectly in all cases.

In other big issue is that the user has no glue why the hyperlinks break in LO:
Visible to the users are only absolute paths even when they are stored
internally in the doc as relative paths. The user has no chance to find out the
reason of his broken hyperlinks.

So I suggest to treat this issue as it is: a bug at least for the LO users on
Linux.

Writer document with glyphs for symbols from BMP codepoints

Attached another test document (and screen clips) with mostly BMP on lines
(1F607 and 1F608 for control).

Also, several PUA codepoints (E425, E427, E429) for symbols to show (or not)
substitution.

So, yes would say the miscalculated DirectWrite character bounds with OpenGL
rendering only seem to affect glyphs for the SMP codepoints.

I managed to survive with this issue by switching on captions. It is not nice
looking, but pointing to the format selection button is much easier.

Sorry:  My description was incomplete:  After you get it in two columns, split
the second column into pounds, shillings and pence using Data -> "Text to
columns" -> Separated by other = "/".  

Note that some of the "numbers" are right adjusted, some left.  Now "sum" the
pounds column":  In LO5.1.2.2, cell B34 contains "=SUM(B14:B33)".  That sum in
my version is 99, which is the sum of the numbers that display right adjusted. 
The numbers that display left adjusted are apparently recognized as characters,
not numbers, and so do not enter into the sum.  "+" gives a different answer: 
Cell E17 contains "=E16+B17":  E16 contains a number.  B17 contains two
characters that look like a number.  "+" adds them as numbers.  
"=SUM(B14:B33)" treats B17 as character and does NOT include it in the sum.
