Note that there are also a number of different issues with PDF export, some that seem to be regressions, but in this bug report let's concentrate on print preview (testing if it's printed fine can only come after that is fixed). https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=100985 --- Comment #5 from Aron Budea --- Please also try my earlier suggestion as well, uncheck these, and restart LibreOffice: 'Tools -> Options... -> LibreOffice -> OpenCL -> Allow use of OpenCL' and 'Allow use of Software Interpreter (even when OpenCL is not available)' Do this first before downloading any newer release. Version "5.2.0.2" is the same as Stuart mentioned (the .2 at the end stands for rc2). I'm not entirely sure the crash reporter would be able to catch this particular kind of crash, but it's certainly worth a try if the above suggestion doesn't help (if it does, no need to bother). https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=100985 --- Comment #4 from Dave Lovelace --- Hmm. I guess I won't download it. I can't find out how. If I go to libreoffice.org, it offers me the chance to download 5.1.4. I'm currently on 5.1.3.2, so I could try uploading to this. If I click down below, I can get to a page that offers me source code in tarballs; I don't think I have what's needed to build it. It also offers me a button "DOWNLOAD VERSION 5.2.0". If I click that, it starts to download LibreOffice_5.2.0.2_Win_x86.msi . But you specified "5.2.0.2 rc2". Nothing tells me how to get that or whether that's what I'd be getting. You'll understand that I hesitate to install a pre-release version if it's not the one that will give the desired information. I'm sorry, I'm a user in this case, not a developer, & I really don't want suddenly to find (say) that I can't open any files at all, or something like that. https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=100985 --- Comment #3 from Dave Lovelace --- Yes, I know that non-reproducible bugs are hard to fix. I can try the rev you specify, but . . . the last time I was told to up-rev, & it seemed to resolve the problem, only to have it recur later after the bug had been closed. As I say, I'd attach the spreadsheet if it weren't a lot of financial information. And of course that might not help anyway. Also, is the debugging information (when & if) going to include data from the spreadsheet? If so, I really don't want to be sending it. I tried all 4 variations on checking the two OpenGL boxes; LibreOffice still crashed (all windows of whatever type vanishing) every time I tried to open this file. I don't have a clue what "clear your user profile" means or how to do it; I couldn't find anything in the tools that said that, although there's so much stuff I could easily be missing something obvious. I will try installing the rev you specified. If crashes then continue, & if I can inspect the crash report, & it doesn't include a bunch of data, I'll upload it. My driver is actually newer than the one offered on AMD support site (which is Crimson Edition 16.3.2), because I sometimes update with beta Catalysts (that are only offered for desktop GPUs, not for APUs). In cl-test.ods I see a huge difference among certain Stat results (up to 6*10^-1). And not only the difference is big, upon multiple recalculations the 2nd Stat result varies between 6.81 and 7.38, which is quite large (formula is "=VAR(A7;B7)+NORMSDIST(A7)-COVAR(A6:A7;B6:B7)+PEARSON(A6:A7;B6:B7)+SLOPE(A6:A7;B6:B7)"). However, with SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN undefined, the "Select Path" (note extra capital letter) is different, allowing only selection from a navigable list of directories, and it has an button. I was able to change the directory without any problem. It is, of course, merely an assumption that my assertion is related to thackert's crash. Stuart -> Nasrin In this case specifics of the document are probably not an issue. Agree with Caolán--my stack trace here (from 5.0.6.3 build), and Pedro's trace from (5.1.5.1) in bug 100813 point to the same area in code that Caolán has been looking at, and has just patched a second issue on master 2016-07-21. While Timur's trace is as for a newer build of master (2016-07-12) with the initial patch in place so we are waiting for a new build of master with corresponding debug symbols for the second patch, and will check both documents. Caolán has just consolidated them onto the older issue. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 101060] New: LibreOffice Writer - Always performs Recovery
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=101060 Bug ID: 101060 Summary: LibreOffice Writer - Always performs Recovery Product: LibreOffice Version: 5.1.4.2 release Hardware: x86 (IA32) OS: Windows (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: LibreOffice Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: libreoff...@isildo.com I am having this problem on a Window system (skylake cpu 64 bit window 10). I am storing my data on a OneDrive (cloud) I just opened my Writer.odt file as a test, did a recover, save, close, reopen.. and you know what is waiting for me. Recovery. Every time. Most files cannot be opened without performing a recover. I say that because I just tried to open a smaller file (20 kb). That one worked. The document that I am working with is much larger (694 kb). Perhaps its a size issue? I posted this sometime back, but I thought it was because I storing the data on a OneDrive. I copied the file to a normal hard drive and get the same same result. Its very irritating If there is a real recovery to do, then when you open it, there two recovers, which has leads to me losing data. Not irritating, maddening. A lot of thing are irritating. A process that is losing data is beyond that. Having said that, the recovery works most of the time. I found a thread at another site on this issue, but it was a few years old and there seemed to be no real solution on posted on that tread. Mostly they were just saying to hit the cancel button. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 62850] UI: Make Impress Remember View for Tasks Pane
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=62850 --- Comment #4 from Kumāra --- (In reply to Rob Snelders from comment #3) > This pane has been disabled by default in the new versions and is superseded > by the new sidebar. There you also can't permanently turn of a section, > however they aren't as annoying as the old one, so I don't think it is > needed anymore. The new one is better designed, but the issue remains. Eg. when I leave the "Custom Animation" panel on when I exit LO, reopening it brings up "Properties>Layout". Even if I use Customization to remove "Properties">"Layout" or others, they reappear on opening Impress! So, presently it's still as annoying to me. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
