https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=101625 Jan-Marek Glogowski changed: What|Removed |Added Keywords||needsUXEval Status|UNCONFIRMED |NEW Ever confirmed|0 |1 --- Comment #1 from Jan-Marek Glogowski --- Thanks for your comments and the attached design ideas document. Personally I would like to merge the input field edit and the edit dialog. Main problem: there are many more different fields, and the edit dialog adapts to them. And I just realized you can just navigate through the same type of field using the edit window - hmmm... OTOH most time you would just change the input fields manually, so the input field edit dialog is much more convenient here. And there seems to be no way to get any overview of the fields in the document, so probably it's time to expand the edit dialog - it already wastes a lot of space in the left column. Fields are also missing from the normal navigator (F5). It should be easy to add a "previous" button in the "input field" edit dialog. And I just realized "Ok" does the same the "Next", or am I missing something? BTW: since some 4.x (x >= 2) release, you can edit the input fields directly. A single click marks the content off the field and puts the cursor at the end of the field, so you can directly replace the content. A 2nd click allows you to place the cursor anywhere in the field, or just use the arrows. Tab and Shift+Tab can be used to go to the next or previous input field, as long as you are inside. Inside is indicated by a black margin around the field. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 101822] New: glxtest zombie process on all non-Gtk+ X11 VCL platforms
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=101822 Bug ID: 101822 Summary: glxtest zombie process on all non-Gtk+ X11 VCL platforms Product: LibreOffice Version: 5.0.6.3 release Hardware: All OS: Linux (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: graphics stack Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: glo...@fbihome.de Since working on our 5.0 release I've noticed a zombie process spawned from LO. sberg pointed me to glxtest, which I could verify to be the culprit. The original problem is OpenGLHelper::isVCLOpenGLEnabled(), which calls officecfg::Office::Common::VCL::ForceOpenGL::get(), which throws an exception in comphelper::getProcessServiceFactory(), which is caught somewhere down the stack, and now can't cleanup the Zombie and misses some of the OpenGL stuff. Actually I'm amazed that LO still manages to run with an unexpected exception in the OpenGL code :-) I could verify that this problem happens with all non-Gtk+ based X11 VCL plugins (kde4, gen, tde). In the end I did two debug runs with backtrace breakpoints for Gtk+ and KDE4 (AKA break with command ; bt ; c ; end). This pointed to the commit "wait until we know the UI language before initializing gtk" - http://cgit.freedesktop.org/libreoffice/core/commit/?id=d07e7d692ddd2a9ab956a59bcc0f676c7d76bc10 At this point application initialization was split, with the Gtk+ i18n stuff depending on it. >From the attached debug logs: #15 0x2aaab118a514 in CreateSalInstance() () at /home/glg/Development/libreoffice/symbols/vcl/unx/generic/plugadapt/salplug.cxx:240 #16 0x2aaab1107780 in InitVCL() () at /home/glg/Development/libreoffice/symbols/vcl/source/app/svmain.cxx:290 and #14 0x2aaac40a122b in GtkInstance::AfterAppInit() (this=0x754c50) at /home/glg/Development/libreoffice/symbols/vcl/unx/gtk/gtkinst.cxx:175 #15 0x2aaab11078a8 in InitVCL() () at /home/glg/Development/libreoffice/symbols/vcl/source/app/svmain.cxx:304 So Gtk+ now delays some initialization, especially the problematic SalDisplay::Init() to AfterAppInit(). I guess it's not the origin of the problem, but something else silently depended on the move. Not sure if it's easier to move the SalDisplay::Init() based init to AfterAppInit() in all other VCL plugins, especially if I see the sprinkling of EnsureInit() everywhere in Gtk+ :-( -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

They should remain. Register true and related reference style are useful for controlling print alignment on double sided printing--they keep the lines of text "registered" to the same vertical grid so the page is more readable when printed (eliminates shadowing when reading the printed page.) https://help.libreoffice.org/Writer/Printing_Register-true And from the local help Register-true Aligns the text on the selected Page Style to a vertical page grid. The spacing of the grid is defined by the Reference Style. Reference Style Select the Paragraph Style that you want to use as a reference for lining up the text on the selected Page style. The height of the font that is specified in the reference style sets the spacing of the vertical page grid. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 82135] Cell references don't resolve in imported Excel sheet, but do after edit
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=82135 Aron Budea changed: What|Removed |Added Status|NEW |NEEDINFO --- Comment #17 from Aron Budea --- Okay, I tested hard recalc, and F9 indeed doesn't work as expected in v5.1.5.2 (but Ctrl-Shift-F9 does), that is certainly a bug, and most likely unrelated to the change. However, both F9 and Ctrl-Shift-F9 works as expected in v5.2.1.2 with the example sheet. There is definitely another workaround if you change Tools -> Options -> LibreOffice Calc -> Formula -> Recalculation on File Load: Excel 2007 and newer. I'd ask how you would expect cached values to work, and why 0-s are stored in the file instead of reasonable values? It makes no sense to have invalid values cached there, and the point of having cached values is exactly that the software wouldn't have to calculate formulas during file opening. How does Excel work in this case that is different? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
