[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 101694] Formula displays wrong number
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=101694 bordma...@gmail.com changed: What|Removed |Added Status|NEEDINFO|UNCONFIRMED Ever confirmed|1 |0 --- Comment #5 from bordma...@gmail.com --- Thanks for the interest. No, I never knew it existed or turned off recalculate. Recalculation on file load, to my surprise, is set to never recalculate for both Excel 97 and ODF files (this is my home PC, I think I may have worked at home on that project). In my line of work, I do large spreadsheets with all sorts of formulae from acquisition costs to discount levels, so turning off recalculate would be suicidal ! 2 causes jump to mind: - the recovery process saved the file with some default settings (sometimes it happens, I also work with 10 calc files open, each several sheets deep). - from an update I'll check Monday on the PC at work. As for how I copied the data, I used a file from a previous project, deleted and wrote the new data. Not sure I dragged top down in the formulae cell ranges or used them as they were.. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

In Windows you usually set the resolution, but don't do much with pixel density, therefore sizes aren't accurate. For example my monitor has 1920x1200 resolution, and it has 87 pixels/inch. Windows default is 96 DPI (and I can't find a way to set it smaller, I can only make it larger), so the cm scaling on my ruler is slightly larger than 1 cm. Please adjust scaling in Windows to match your screen's, and test again. I'm setting this as NOTABUG. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 89683] delimited text files ('csv', 'tsv', etc.) are opened as text documents if Writer is the active window
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=89683 --- Comment #11 from Maxim Monastirsky--- Formats that can be opened by more than one app, such as html rtf and plain text (which is what a csv file is, as there is no way to "detect" csv files by content) are opened in the currently active app. That's an intentional change made in LO, as noted by Kohei at https://lists.freedesktop.org/archives/libreoffice/2014-July/062540.html To me it is understandable and consistent behavior, as if you open a .csv file from inside gedit, you don't expect it to open in Calc, because that's a separate app. So the same should apply to Writer (which isn't exactly a separate app technically, but it is for the end user). That's a way to open the file in Writer for someone who need it, instead of telling him to scroll a long list of formats. And open Calc to be able to open the file from there is just one click away. I however do understand why some people prefer that a plain text files with a .csv extension would always open in Calc. But instead of fighting endlessly on what the default behavior should be, I suggest to make this configurable, so hopefully everyone will be happy. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 96405] UI Can't rename shape anymore
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=96405 Yousuf Philips (jay)changed: What|Removed |Added CC||tietze.he...@gmail.com --- Comment #10 from Yousuf Philips (jay) --- Yes the context menu is definitely a shorter distance to travel and it may be useful to have it in modules where most users regularly name shapes and the context menu is small. Another option is to assign a simple shortcut key to it (e.g. F2), like we've done with F4 opening the position and size dialog in impress/draw. Regarding the location of the item in the menu not being consistent across modules, i had already noticed that it wasnt in the menu in Calc and it is on my to do list to fix. Draw's menus havent been reorganized yet, so nothing is consistent there with other modules. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
