[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 103422] New: Menu bar: options names have no separation. Sometimes one is over the other
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=103422 Bug ID: 103422 Summary: Menu bar: options names have no separation. Sometimes one is over the other Product: LibreOffice Version: 5.1.4.2 release Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64) OS: Linux (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: UI Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: giampaoli.gust...@gmail.com Description: Hi I'm using LibreOffice in my 10" netbook. Works perfect. But I have this annoying bug: Options in the menu bar (I use it in Spanish) like "File", "Edit", "View" have no separation. Example: I see FileEditViewInsert Even more: "Herramientas" (Tools) and Ventana (Window) are one over the other in this way: "Herramientas" is too long. So, the "s" from "Herramientas" is over the "V" of "Ventana". The only options that are separated are Ver Insertar. My Spanish bar looks like this: ArchivoEditarVer(SPACE)InsertarFormatoEstilosTabla(SPACE)HerramientaVentanaAyuda There is space between "Ver" and "Insertar". Also, there is space between "Tabla" and "Herramienta". But it looks smaller that the space between "Ver" and "Insertar". The "s" in the end of "Herramientas" is in front or behind the "V" of "Ventana". You can see both letters. Last night I restored the LibreOffice window and maximized it again. In that moment, all options were separated from eachother. However, I couldn't recreate this fix. It only happened once. Now, options show one next the other and it doesn't change when I restore and maximize the window. Steps to Reproduce: 1. I just open LibreOffice (Writer, Calc, Impress, whatever) with default options. 2. I see the menu bar with all options without separation Actual Results: I can use LibreOffice normally. But it's a little annoying. Expected Results: Nothing to report in this item. Just that the "expected" behavior is that each option should be separated from the others. Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/54.0.2840.71 Safari/537.36 -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 100038] special at sign(@) treatment is frustrating for new users and impossible to google
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=100038 V Stuart Foote changed: What|Removed |Added Status|REOPENED|RESOLVED CC||vstuart.fo...@utsa.edu Resolution|--- |DUPLICATE --- Comment #12 from V Stuart Foote --- (In reply to Frederick Eaton from comment #6) > > *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 98154 *** > > Just wanted to understand what's happening - can someone explain the > connection between this bug, and bug 98154? Sure, functionally the dev and UX position is that Calc would benefit from defining auto correct options independently of Writer. Eike dupped this to the bug 98154 established for doing that "Some Autocorrect options should be treated separately in Calc" [1] With autocorrect configuration split, in Writer URL recognition will remain enabled, while in Calc URL recognition would probably be disabled by default. Eliminating your issue. Deficiencies in the F1 Help and documentation of the URL recognition of the @ syntax is a side bar--that needs annotation in [2] @Aron, probably should open a new issue for 1&2 against Documentation bug 80430 to revise text in the "Turning off Automatic URL recognition" [2], and post a new bug for your items 3-6. Otherwise agree with Miguel Ángel and Eike, and resolving DUP of 98154. =-ref-= [1] https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=98154#c2 [2] http://opengrok.libreoffice.org/xref/help/source/text/shared/guide/autocorr_url.xhp *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 98154 *** -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

The issues seem to appear if a comment refers to a range of text and not only to a point. Then, the highlighted area is at the completely wrong position. The anchor of the comment refers to the wrong position, too. The worst case is, if the text range spans over two pages. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 103183] Pasting text from OneNote fails
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=103183 --- Comment #7 from Matt --- OK, I can verify the behavior you have. If I Ctrl-C from OneNote, it does NOT paste into LibreOffice. If I load the .CL7 file into free clipboard viewer, and then paste into LibreOffice, it does paste the .BMP. Paste, paste special and paste unformatted text were all accessible in the edit menu. HOWEVER, there are some differences. The .CL7 file you show in your attachment has some different categories than when I load the .CL7 file. Here's the diffs: I have HTML Format, you don't. You have Net Resource, I don't. I have OneNote 2010 Internal, you don't. All the remaining categories that you have, I also have. When I do Ctrl-C in OneNote, I get 14 categories: Preview, HTML Format, Unicode Text Format, Text, Enhanced Metafile, Bitmap DIB, Locale Identifier, OEM Text, Metafile Picture Format, Bitmap, Bitmap DIBV5, DataObject, OneNote 2010 Internal, and Ole Private Data. But if I load the .cl7 file that I sent to you earlier, I get only 12 categories: Preview, HTML Format, Unicode Text Format, Text, Bitmap DIB, Locale Identifier, OEM Text, Bitmap DIBV5, Bitmap, DataObject, OneNote 2010 Internal, and Ole Private Data (Enhanced Metafile and Metafile Picture Format are missing, and the order of the Bitmap one changes.) I verified that Ctrl-C gives 14 categories. I save the file in Free Clipboard Viewer, then immediately reload it, and it only shows 12 categories. The two Metafile categories are somehow dropped in the save process...or not loaded properly by the clipboard viewer from the .CL7 file. https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=103399 --- Comment #5 from Frank --- Hi Stuart, sorry I was incorrectly refering to klm32, actually it is The Microsoft Keyboard Layout Creator (MSKLC) https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/globalization/keyboardlayouts.aspx I have had it for years, thus I can type into browsers, mail, word processors exactly the same way. Set it up once and forget it. Past few hours, I recorded some macros for both Writer and MS Word. In both cases they are able to override the problem. MS Word only caused problems when the command was already defined, but it allows you to redefine them. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 103396] Trim marks are not available for use when a professional printer requires them
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=103396 --- Comment #2 from Taylor --- I have done what you suggest with various documents, i.e. making the page "bigger" to accommodate bleed/crop marks, and so on. I just have to figure out how to add crop marks to the document -- the border section of the page dialog doesn't quite get me what I want. If I could have the borders go all the way to the edge of the page, it would be better. Workarounds for items mentioned in initial bug report: Make page size larger than required (allows for bleed) Add borders (KIND OF ACTS LIKE CROP MARKS, may have some black borders on final piece) around entire page, change "spacing to contents" and margins appropriately Export to PDF and then use ghostscript to convert to CMYK. For reference, I use the following command to convert to pdfs to the CMYK color space (which is why I was requesting an enhancement on crop marks): #!/usr/bin/env bash gs \ -o "cmyk-${1}" \ -sDEVICE=pdfwrite \ -sProcessColorModel=DeviceCMYK \ -sColorConversionStrategy=CMYK \ -sColorConversionStrategyForImages=CMYK \ -dEncodeColorImages=false \ -dOverrideICC \ "${1}" I probably should have focused on writer, since that is the program used when creating business cards from the menu, instead of mentioning draw. After typing that all up, crop marks might go better in the "Page Style" "Borders" section. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

For example, if a user entered '09:00 AM', it is automatically set to number format HH:MM:SS AM/PM ('09:00:00 AM') and then it would be nice to be able to press delete decimal to change it to HH:MM AM/PM and pressing delete decimal again and it changes to HH AM/PM. It would work in a similar but reverse way when pressing add decimal, all the way to HH:MM:SS.00 AM/PM. Adding and deleting decimals for dates would work in a similar way to add or remove the day, month, etc. (e.g. -MM-DD -> -MM -> ) and it would also work with date + time combos like 'MM/DD/YY HH:MM AM/PM'. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

Apply the color filter "Invert" (from the 'Image' toolbar). The colors are inverted. Save the document. Reopen the document. Notice, the image is no longer inverted. Further error: If the attribute draw:color-inversion="true" is set manually in the file, this attribute is not evaluated on opening. Take a Writer document, insert a _linked_ image. Apply the color filter "Invert". The colors are inverted. Save the document. Notice, that the image is embedded without asking the user and inverting is done on the image itself, instead of only inverting the rendering. If you unpack the document, you will see, that Writer writes the attribute draw:color_inversion="false". If you insert a _linked_ image and save the document immediately and then add the attribute draw:color-inversion="true" manually, then Writer will read it correctly and renders the image inverted. On resave Writer then keeps the image linked and keeps the attribute, if you do nothing with this image. Expected behavior: (1) When applying the color filter "Invert" on a linked image, the image is not embedded, but the ODF attribute draw:color-inversion="true" is set. (2) The ODF attribute draw:color-inversion is not only evaluated for Writer-images but for Draw-images too. If I try to make bold a base word in affixed word I cannot to that. I just can make bold the base word with the ligature came from the affixation. For example the base word is "széf", the affixed word is "széffel" and has a ligature (ff). I cannot make bold the "széf" characters in the word "széffel" because of the ff ligature. I just can make bold "széff"... And there is a strange thing about that issue if the ligature is tt. Shall be the base word is "kapcsolat" and the affixed word is "kapcsolattal". If I make bold the "kapcsolatt" in the word "kapcsolattal" the result is "kapcsolatal", where "kapcsolat" is bold and there is a missing second t letter. I attached a sample document.
