You need to extent the Basic and Python API, as described in comment 1. However if you do not understand what it means, you probably have not worked with the UNO API before, and then the bug is quite complicated. Have a look at https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Development/GetInvolved there are many easyhacks defined, it is easier for you to choose one, where you know how it works. https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=103736 --- Comment #4 from jimishol--- i use packages as it comes from my distributions and i used HSQLDB i tried to see if it happens with postgres as well. So on a virtualbox with Arch i installed libreoffice and postgres. Upon query design LO said it needed JRE and i installed jre8-openjdk and problem disappeared!! at HSQLDB too! Now on gentoo i have virtual/jre-1.8.0-r1 and on debian-jessie openjdk-7-jre and default-jre I had no time to test with different jre s and specially on gentoo it isnt easy because of compilation time it will take It seems it is a jre matter -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=103737 --- Comment #5 from stefan_lange...@t-online.de--- Oops! I hadn't expect and therefore I hadn't found that the menu for named areas completely with all 5 submenu items is moved from the menu "Insert" (in german "Enfügen") to the menu "Sheet" ("Tabelle") in LO 5.3 - especially because in (German) LibreOfficeDev help still only the "old" method via the Insert menu is described. I have tested: With the Named cells submenu in the Sheet menu I can handle the names (set, manaage, insert) in the same manner as with the named areas submenu of Insert menu in LO 5.2. For me this is OK - my prolem is solved! I don't know if it is good or necessary that there are two ways to reach the same result. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=103737 --- Comment #4 from m.a.riosv--- Interesting we have the same entry on two places with different behavior, well my mistake, not exactly the same: Menu/Insert/Named Range or Expression... Menu/Sheet/Named Ranges and Expressions With minimal difference on their name. Doesn't look as a good improvement of the UI. Menu/Sheet/Named Ranges and Expressions/Define Menu/Sheet/Named Ranges and Expressions/Create Menu/Sheet/Named Ranges and Expressions/Label IMHO should be at least also on Insert, the three entries allow to create items, 'Named Range or Expression...' only paste the list of NRE on the sheet. Why not simplify, having only the entry on Sheet. But with a different name for the main and secondary entries. I have already checked recommended sources but I have some questions. Firstly is there some differences between scanner.l/parser.y and sourceprovider-*? I know the grammar is different but the generated language is identical? But I think I will try to start from the UNO IDL syntax description. Moreover if ctags files are written where should I place/push it? In the LO core branch? Which folder? I will try first with regex because the ctags' page recommend. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 103680] Use HarfBuzz ot-math API to parse the OpenType MATH table
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=103680 --- Comment #5 from Frédéric Wang--- So as I see there are several separate issues: 1) Encoding of math formulas MathML is the standard used in ODF for encoding mathematical formulas and we can attach semantics annotation to MathML formulas (e.g. StarMath or LaTeX). Currently we use MathML with StarMath annotation. Storing images of formula for ODF document would be a horrible solution IMHO but that can still be used for exporting to other formats (e.g. HTML). 2) Writing math formulas Of course MathML is not intended to be written by hand. Currently we have StarMath and a visual editor (disabled by default). It would make sense to add a LaTeX input method. 3) Abstract tree for rendering/navigation of math formulas Currently, this tree matches the StarMath syntax which is very poor compared to MathML or LaTeX. I think we should really have MathML as an internal format here, so that valid ODF import/export is straighforward and we can manage additional annotations (LaTeX and StarMath) for more input methods. IIUC, 3) is the topic discussed here. As Khaled said, using OpenType MATH is independent of the internal tree. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
