[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 103866] Formula font change
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=103866 A (Andy) changed: What|Removed |Added Status|UNCONFIRMED |NEW CC||stgohi-lob...@yahoo.de Ever confirmed|0 |1 --- Comment #2 from A (Andy) --- Reproducible with LO 5.2.3.3 (Win 8.1). The characters in the math formula (with the same font settings) seem to be about 1 or 1/2 (unfortunately I can not measure it because it is quite small) milimeter lower than the normal text. Even if it is a small difference you can recognise it with your eyes (see also the attachment). But I also have the feeling that the rendering of the characters is a little bit different. If I have the text and the formula in italics then text seems to be more italicised (more slanting) that the formula (take the same character and font settings to test it). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 101174] Enable means to change Formula Editor default font from OpenSymbol via Expert Configuration
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=101174 --- Comment #4 from Mike Kaganski --- I'm not sure it's possible. To have correct display, glyph's size should be specifically chosen to be usable stretched, stacked etc. Also, we stretch characters where they should be composed of a number of parts to display OK (braces/parens, etc) - now stretching makes glyphs thin etc. Fixing this requires changing current composition of glyphs. And if we go this route, then substitute should have these glyph parts available at the same codepoints as well. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

The trigger to refresh the preview of the selection is a _mouse click_ on a font from the list. https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=103725 --- Comment #18 from V Stuart Foote --- @Khaled, issues of duplicate bugs bug 100746 and bug 103745 are not appreciably corrected by commits closing this issue. Should they individually be reopened, or will you take another whack at this? Scaling issues can be seen in attachment 126046 from tdf#100746, and the sample Starmath formula from tdf#103745: widevec {P_0 P_1} widehat {P_0 P_1} {x+y+z} overbrace {} {x+y+z} underbrace {} or the issues in scaling glyphs for formula node composition as in this Starmath: nroot{3}{27 over 2} cdot sqrt{9} although that is admittedly equally an issue with node composition in sm math module. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

Steps to Reproduce: Open sample document attached from OOo issue 47675 With new layout With old layout Actual Results: With new layout the base line is miscalculated and glyphs extend beyond top margin, also glyphs for the second line of text are not rendered. Expected Results: New layout would mostly match old layout. Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: yes Additional Info: Work on bug 103725 brings reasonable scaling for most text. https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=103816 --- Comment #12 from Regina Henschel --- (In reply to V Stuart Foote from comment #11) > The left right spacing for the "Formula" frame type is set to 114 twips. It > would be simple to change that to 0. Great for an inline formula. But what > of when a complex multi-line formula is inserted it has to use the same > spacing. The default, when inserting an equation, is a Math-OLE anchored "as character" with assigned frame style "Formula". So an equation is initially always "inline" and you need to take additional steps to make it floating. A margin of 0 is correct too, in case you put the equation as first and only item in a line. I do not see why complex multi-line formulas would need a horizontal margin. > Why not additional frame style formats? This issue is about the default style. I once wrote this before, but I'd like to update the importance of my request. I still think there should be an extra program on the entire suite: a LIbreOffice webpage builder. It might seem there is no necessity for this, but the fact is, in the 21st century, the creation an edition of webpages is something essencial to every working office, perhaps even more than a database, especially if we consider a web designer office. I set the text to blue and the asterisk which leads to the footnote in red. But then I wanted to make the text white and the background color blue. Whenever I selected the text (including the asterisk) and did that, what happened was that the character area belonging to the asterisk didn't change color.
