Hello, 
sorry, I might comment on something which is already listed. But i just did not
find it. My user-English is not well enough.

My problem:
I need to put a lot of characters in the footer field on the right.
(Payment-information on an invoice)

I save it correctly, as XLT-Format.

When I open (as Document.xls > only the about 75 characters will be shown, the
rest is disappeared.

The number in the footnote ought to be larger. How can I do this?

Thank you.

PS. the characters in the attachment are alternated in order to anonymize.
Hence their number does not correspond with the number of characters in my
actual document.

Everything is possible. The shading or glow color can be made relative. This is
ancient technology to all 3D artists.

You mean the line color turns into red or a fancy glow effect appears around
it? And what happens in case of a red line or when the object is shining by
default? Hard to imagine that we find a general solution for all objects and
all drawings that is better than turning the cursor from pointer into the grab
hand.

So what is your view on pre-selection highlighting that me and the original
reporter proposed? I'm sure there are some extremely complex cases, where the
navigator is invaluable, but I guess most of the time a hands-on visual hint
would be the best.

In the old Elements window of Math it was possible to select formulas with the
keyboard according to: 
https://help.libreoffice.org/Math/Formula_Shortcut_Keys#Navigation_in_the_Elements_Window
 

Now the Elements window is gone and its functionality is available in a side
pane, but I can't navigate to the formulas with the tab (or any other) key and
insert a formula to the Commands window.
All I can do is to select the category listbox and choose another category from
that.
I think it would be nice to have back this accessibility feature.

What is the use case to not show tracked changes? I mean beyond a "it would be
nice" to have. The purpose of tracking changes is to show them to other
readers, and what Microsoft did caused 'funny' epic fails when previous
versions were shared in official documents.

Try to open it in Excel :). I can't unlock it there with an empty password,
only with "pwd" as stated in cell B2.

I wouldn't increase the hotspot area, at least not in general. Perhaps it could
be adjusted according the zoom factor, if it isn't yet. Issues with object
selection are known and the proposed solution is to have a simple alternative
with the navigator:
