and then re-applied (in a fixed form) in

The shift from left in LO is much more than in Excel. According to ISO/IEC
29500-1, the "indent" attribute of "alignment" element is an integer that is
number of triple spaces in the normal font of the cell. ODF expresses indent in
normal length units. So, the conversion from Excel indent "5" triple spaces of
cell's font to "50pt" seems to be incorrect.

I also cannot reproduce generation of the ill-formed document.
It's normal that LO emits the error on opening such ill-formed documents, but
it's really important to find out why it generates them in the first place.

Seeing a duplicate makes me believe that (at least some version and possibly on
some platform) LO does generate them. Could it be a MacOS-only problem?

tested under Win8.1 x64
works fine with LibO 5.1.1
bug present in a 5.2.3 and recent 5.4.0 alpha build.

it's just a FILEOPEN issue. if you save the file with a buggy versione (i.e.
5.2.x) and reopen in 5.1.x the image is still displayed correctly

status NEW.
regression, needs bibisecting.

LibreOffice fall down when I try create chart from attached jTop-Gair.ods.
It has 2 column and 142045 rows.
After selecting data and pressing button Chart, Calc delaying for 10-15 min,
then show dialog and delay, after selecting type XY - Calc delayed and then
fall down.

Julien, no worries, thanks for giving it a try.

I tested, and could reproduce the bug with 5.3beta2 / Ubuntu 16.04 (so, in
Linux).

Noel, for reproduction please note that the settings have to be changed as
shown in the first image (set to Lossless compression, remove checkbox from
Reduce image resolution).

fdo#78910 Hyperlink and Field start-end mismatch
Originally a Field began inside a hyperlink but ended after the hyperlink.
This causes the corruption in MS Word.

Incremented the field count if the field is added for the current new
hyperlink.
Added another variable to store the Field-Count from previous hyperlink.

Added UT for the same.

Please try resetting the user profile, sometimes solves strange issues.

Usually it's enough renaming/deleting the file
"user/registrymodifications.xcu",  it affects all the options in
Menu/Tools/Options, and the files "user/basic/dialog.xlc" and "scrip.xlc" are
overwritten, additionally custom colors in "user/config/standard.soc" are lost.

Writer table copy-paste bug

Confirmed with 5.3beta1 / Windows 7. Works fine with 5.2.3.3.
=> regression.

To reproduce, open the attached document, and copy the "1"s from 1st column [1,
1, 1, 1, 1] to the 6th row of 3rd, 4th or 5th column:
starting with 7th row the entries are shifted to the right, or not visible at
all.

Thanks for taking the time to file an issue.  But this works correctly for me
on Windows 10 Pro 64-bit en-US with 5.2.4.1 build. I have no issues on import
of CSV into Calc using the text import dialog.

However, this CSV data uses "" bracket around internal CSV lists. Meaning you
have to specify the "Quoted field as text".

Do you have better results if on filter import of the CSV into Calc module you
correctly configre the Text import dialog?

1. use the Seperated by radio button.
2. use the "Comma" checkbox.
3. in Other Options -> "Quoted field as text"

If so, please close RESOLVED NOTABUG

Also, as this is a rather large table, you might be better served if you import
into a set of SQL tables in Base--depending on your needs.

Some words are written with hyphen: state-of-the-art, majority is not. With
Hunspell, we have two possibilities: treat hyphen as part of the word, or as
brake point so spell checker is checking every part of such compounded word
separately.

Let's say we choose first approach because suggestion mechanism is working
better this way. Now, hyphen is nothing more then character like every other
letter in alphabet. This is the way English dictionary is treating apostrophe.

If automatic hyphenation is enabled, hyphenated words are not marked as
misspelled when hyphenated at the very end of a line, but if I put hyphen
manually, words is flagged as misspelled.

Think that there should not be difference between automatic and manual
hyphenation. If hyphen causes word to break into another line, spell checking
should be preformed like word is not hyphenated at all.

Recapitulation: 'com-puter' is not flagged as misspelled if hyphenated like
this automatically, but it is if hyphen is inserted manually.

Please upgrade to 5.2.3 at least (it is a good practice to always test the
latest version of any software before reporting bugs to its developers).

That was an obsolete translation that has been updated in newer versions. The
new French name for this feature is “table dynamique”; in 5.2.x the string in
question is translated to “Mise en page de la table dynamique”. As there are no
more releases upcoming for the 5.1.x series, this is not going to be fixed
there.

Seems to work in 5.2.4.1 and 5.3b2, but the icons used from Sifr font are
really small (and the help text is big on OSX), so take a look at the attached
screenshot.

a) we *DISABLE* the automatic font install
b) the Build ID being d54a8868f08a7b39642414cf2c8ef2f228f780cf does show it's
NOT a Debian build. The Debian build would not have git to get that hash *and*
has the Debian package version there instead.

Yes, it's called from a lot of places. As mentioned in comment 28, this
reversion fixed PDF export for me. I wanted to look into it further, because
it's a very peculiar issue, but compilation took quite some time, and I haven't

It still happens, see the first paragraph in comment 3 for details.
I checked a bit, and it seems Thesaurus is causing the stall (thanks for the
hint), but I didn't have the time to further experiment with it. What I did, I
tried earlier versions, and the stall happened when I entered that particular
submenu.

I now see the title of the LibreOffice window correctly displaying the
original, lower-case, filename.  This is using bibisect-win32-5.3

filesystem) and have installed the dev-version, but without success. The
behaviour is the same is before.

How can I change the dialogs to test, if the native LibreOffice dialogs handles

Description:
The CPU usage while scrolling around an empty page has increased. With LibO
5.4.0.0Alpha I reach 22% constant. With LibO4.1.04 it's only 19% tops (and will
drop a bit after a while)

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Open a new (empty) writer document in LibO 4.1.0.4
2.Create a large page so scroll bars appear (for example 80x80)
3.Scroll scroll awhile back and forward (horizontal or vertical) by click the
scroll bar and moving it up and down (left or right).
4.Take notice of the CPU usage
5.Do the same for LibO 5.4.0.0

Actual Results:  
CPU usage has increased compared LibO 4.1.0.4

Expected Results:
No high CPU usage at the first place or similar to LibO 4.1.04

This needs to be checked against a Windows 8.1 and/or Windows 10 VM guest as it
is not clear if the support of "Core profile" and "Compatibility profile" is
impacted by the VM Operating system and possibly capability of the GPU driver
on the host OS.

My testing thus far was on a Windows 10 Host with an nVidia GPU (Driver Version
21.21.13.7270)

But, it does suggest we have some additional issues with OpenGL support.
We could have similar driver OpenGL profile issues with VirtualBox and even
Parallels host/guest combinations.

Might all need blacklist, but at least some mention in release notes and Wiki?

Oups, this file is called at many places, not just svl. I must run "make" at
root.

On pc Debian x86-64 with master sources updated today, I could reproduce the
initial pb. I tested the revert but it doesn't change anything. (I must
recognize I just runned "make svl.build").
Do you confirm the effect of this change on your pc?

Description:
In LibO 4.1.0.4 only 145kb got written (empty document) while minimizing or
restoring. With LibO 5.4.0.0 i notice writes of 600 kb (with an empty
document).
Is this normal behavior?

More generally, I wonder if it is necessary to write something while:
1. Opening a new document (MS Office doesn't) 
2. Minimizing a restoring a window (MS Office doesn't write something)

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Open Writer in for example LibO 4.1.0.4
2.Open a few blank documents
3.Minimize them and take notice of Written bytes
4.Open Writer in for example 5.3.0.0b2
5.Open a few blank documents
6.Minimize them and take notice of Written bytes



Actual Results:  
Every time after minimizing or restoring something gets written to the disk.
The bytes written has increased (with factor 4) since 4.1.0.4

Expected Results:
No writes at all or less bytes

Yes agree adding the VMWare SVGA 3D driver at 8.15.1.48 driver on blacklist is
appropriate.

But also beleive we have an issue with support for OpenGL "Core profile" that
came in with the 5.2 builds.

Issues vanish by disabling OpenGL rendering--which the black list would do.

Or by setting the SVGA_VGPU10 environment variable to 0
(a regedit session on the VM, setting value of 0 for 
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session
Manager\Environment\SVGA_VGPU10) as in the vmware tech note--and using
"compatibility profile"

Setting the SVGA_VGPU10 varaible makes OpenGL rendering with the
8.15.1.48 driver in the 5.1.3.2 build stable again. 

But with it set the 5.2.3.3 and 5.3.0beta2 builds will not honor the Tools -> 
View -> Use OpenGL rendering setting.  And if forced into OpenGL mode, they are 
very unstable with multiple crash restarts and zombied soffice.bin instances in
Task Manager. 

On Windows 7 Ent (32-bit) guest VM on VMWare 12
was solid in 5.1.3.2 (644e4637d1d8544fd9f56425bd6cec110e49301b) with VMWare

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Download file
2. Open CSV file using Libre Office Calc
3. Work with it

Actual Results:  
The application crashes.
I use Windows Server 2007 SP2.

status NEW according to comment 7 that was reproduced with LibO 5.0.x
has anyone tried 5.2.x?

Description:
This is my CV/resume so I'd like it kept confidential please. The small circles
on the first page have a slight white-ish "shadows". These circle objects are
part of LibreOffice clip art library. These objects in the pick list don't
appear to have these shadows at all and wouldn't show if the background was
left white. 

In my instance I have a pale blue background and the shadow is slightly
noticeable within draw but it's not overly intrusive. 

The problem comes when I export the odg to a pdf either using the built-in
exporter or the Microsoft PDF "printer". The output has over emphasized the
above shadows to being highly intrusive to the extent some of the text in them
becomes difficult to read.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Load odg file.
2.Export as pdf.
3.

Actual Results:  
As above really. If there's an option within the pdf export that could tone
this down abit.

Expected Results:
I was expecting the pdf output to match what I'm seeing within draw. WYSIWYG it
aint!


Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No. This is pretty much a clean install.

Additional Info:
This happens on 5.1.5.2 on a two different systems one is Windows 7.1 Starter
and the other is Windows 10. The odg is the same as it resides on my server.
