OK, it works for me after I open the file with LODev 5.4.0 alpha0, and I enabled OpenGL. But the initial characters always clipped, and when I disabled OpenGL, they are sideways. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 104766] FILESAVE is apparently arbitrary for database table information changes and saves.
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=104766 aer...@gmail.com changed: What|Removed |Added Status|NEEDINFO|UNCONFIRMED Ever confirmed|1 |0 --- Comment #6 from aer...@gmail.com --- Thanks for the reply Alex. Here's my problem... If I could reproduce the exact same situation and/or error reliably then I would have included the information. I said arbitrarily because it appears to be arbitrary. I can save the database, close it, reopen it, and get apparently random changes where some tables that had an autonumber field turned on would now have it turned off. There's no way to tell without reopening every single table, which I did more than once to verify that it was indeed happening with no pattern that I could discern. In every case two or more tables would have the autonumber switch wrong AND on some tables the descriptions that had been entered previously were simply gone. I already ran into the copy/paste problem, but that was already reported so I didn't mention it. You can consider it confirmed if you wish. Given the situation, I didn't think previous bug reports applied to the situation, thus the new submit. It has happened with the same database on two different computers (Win7 and Win8.1). It has happened multiple times on each. I can't reproduce the same errors in the same tables every time, or I would have said so. However, every single time I save and close and go back in, some of the tables will be wrong. It is either resetting/changing the entries (autonumber), not saving the entries (descriptions or autonumber possibly), or deleting the entries (description). Sometimes it is recent changes and sometimes it happens in tables that were changed several saves previously. So, quite frankly, I assumed the problems were related. My error. My first guess would be that there is a serious memory problem. Second guess is that there is a hard limit on the amount of metainformation like table element descriptive entries and when that is reached, it just starts doing random crap. Or some combination. Either way, for me it isn't usable so I quit using it. I could live with retyping rather than copy/paste, but losing and/or changing information that was saved with no error message is a whole different problem. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=104799 Bug ID: 104799 Summary: UI: Styles dropdown colors unreadable with GNOME dark theme Product: LibreOffice Version: 5.2.3.3 release Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64) OS: Linux (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Writer Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: dara...@dagron.net Description: Using the Dark Theme for GNOME desktop on Fedora 25. The Styles dropdown in both the top left and the properties side panel is not readable due to color issues. With the dark theme set for GNOME, the styles dropdown is very dark gray background with black text and is unreadable. This same problem exists in the insert table dropdown. I think this is a bug in LibreOffice and not GNOME because the fonts dropdowns look perfect with the GNOME dark theme. Steps to Reproduce: 1.Set GNOME to dark theme (I used GNOME tweak tool) 2.Open LibreOffice Writer 3.Click the dropdown for styles (colors make this menu unreadable) 4.Click the dropdown for fonts (colors make this menu easily readable) Actual Results: The dropdown is very dark gray with black text. https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=104166 Mike Kaganski changed: What|Removed |Added Status|NEW |RESOLVED Version|5.1.0.3 release |5.1.0.0.beta1 Resolution|--- |DUPLICATE --- Comment #7 from Mike Kaganski --- Again, this is not caused by the identified patch, but is exactly the same as in its parent bug 96751. That bug happens like that: when its bugdoc is open, the image in it has wrong wrap contour, and thus is placed incorrectly. The wrong placement happens to avoid a bug with layout looping. But when user manually fixes the contour problem (by turning off wrapping), and image is trying to go to proper place, the layout loop happens. Now that the image wrap contour import was fixed, it is imported correctly from the start, so the loop fires immediately. So, this isn't a new bug and not a regression, but just change in time of occurrence of original bug. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 96751 *** -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

More problamatically: it shows the text at both the original position, as well as the new position. Without marking either as a change. This is apparently a feature introduced in Word 2007: "In Word 2007 there are almost no changes to the "track changes" feature with the exception of move tracking: Word displays moved sentences/paragraphs differently from deleted/pasted ones." - https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Track_changes Unfortunately I don't have Word to reproduce it, so I'd suggest it can be two things: - This is not implemented in the filter - In my case it was not picked up, because the moveTo position contains other tracked changes (please see the additional information) Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open a docx document that has tracked changes of a _movement_ of a text string 2. See that the string is displayed at both the original position, as well as the new position. Actual Results: Moved sentence. Text after first sentence. Moved sentence. Expected Results: Text after first sentence. Moved sentence. Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: In the docx file I found (document.xml): (seemingly) relevant bits in the docx file (document.xml): It is unclear what is being measured. and later It is unclear wWhat is being measured thus remains unclear. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 104765] Base doesn't work under OS X
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=104765 --- Comment #4 from cte39...@centurytel.net --- I did that and, while creating a new base, still get the message: "The connection to the data source "New Database22" could not be established. The connection to the external source could not be established. No SBDC driver was found for the URL 'sdbc:embedded:hsqldb'." My response to that, honed over the past several days, is to quit LO base. Then, reopen LO home, LibreOffice>Preferences>Advanced, check the "Use a Java runtime environment.", mark "Oracle Corporation 1.8.0_111", and "OK". I then Quit LO and start anew to create a new base. Now we have: "LibreOffice Document Recovery Due to an unexpected error, LibreOffice crashed. All the files you were working on will now be saved. The next time LibreOffice is launched, your files will be recovered automatically. The following files will be recovered:" I "OK". Response is: "LibreOffice Document Recovery Press 'Start Recovery' to start the recovery process of the documents listed below. Press 'Discard Recovery Data' to abandon attempting recovery of these documents. The 'Status' column shows whether the document can be recovered. Now: "LibreOffice Document Recovery Recovery of your documents was finished. Click 'Finish' to see your documents. "LibreOffice Document Recovery Due to an unexpected error, LibreOffice crashed. All the files you were working on will now be saved.
