I can confirm that in Ubuntu it exists Inset | Pivot Table. Also on Windows I
can confirm if I rename the profile I can see the same menu structure as on
Ubuntu. I have also installed master version and I see Data | Pivot Table |
Create is back again. Nice.

I didn't know menu structure is also saved in profile. Sorry for the false
positive report.

Your attached converted ODT file is in good format, but it is far away from a
editable ODT file, as each of the lines are within a textbox.

The key of my idea is to remove the textboxes.

This feature is important for business use. One use case is that, for example,
the Department of Commerce issued a Questionnaire to a Company requesting
information, but the Queasionnaire is in PDF format (actually the Department is
always issuing Questionnaires in PDF format). When the Company receives the
Questionnair they have to convert it to an editable Text document in order to
respond to the questions. As far as I know, people are using Office 365 to do
this conversion, as start from Word 2013 it has a feature called PDF Reflow.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 105266] PPTX import: The attributes fill="lightenLess" and ="lighten" are rendered wrong in "bevel" shape

2017-01-12 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=105266

--- Comment #3 from Regina Henschel  ---
I think, the new part with dBrightness in
 /core/svx/source/customshapes/EnhancedCustomShape2d.cxx and
 /core/svx/source/svdraw/svdopath.cxx
is totally wrong. It applies fixed, unexplained factors to the colors, which
are already adjusted based on the values stored in nColorData according to the
various mso_spt... shape types.

But the old part, inherit from OpenOffice is wrong too. You see the difference
best with a dark fill color. Look at the "lighten" part. You can notice, that
it has less saturation in PowerPoint than in OpenOffice.

Microsoft has described the calculation to be used in

https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh745894%28v=office.12%29.aspx?f=255=-2147217396.
So the correct calculation would be:
for lighten: resultColor = 0.6 * fillcolor + 0.4 * 255
for lightenLess: resultColor = 0.8 * fillcolor + 0.2 * 255
for darken: resultColor = 0.6 * fillcolor + 0.4 * 0
for darkenLight: resultColor = 0.8 * fillcolor + 0.4 * 0
If I examine the colors in the image with a paint-application, I see exactly
these result (besides rounding).

I see no need to switch to HSV for the calculations.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 105299] New: Resizable dialogs cause maximizing in OS X full screen mode

2017-01-12 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=105299

Bug ID: 105299
   Summary: Resizable dialogs cause maximizing in OS X full screen
mode
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.1.6.2 release
  Hardware: All
OS: Mac OS X (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: UI
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: thorsten.wagne...@gmail.com

Description:
Resizable dialogs cause problems on OS X: In full screen mode they cover the
whole display, because such windows are maximized by OS X in full screen mode.
Non resizable dialogs are a prerequisite to keep LO usable in full screen mode
on Macs.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open LibreOffice Writer
2. Maximize window to switch to full screen mode
3. Select Styles / Load Styles

Actual Results:
Load Styles dialog becomes maximized and covers whole screen

Expected Results:
Load Styles dialog remains normal sized as like as e.g. Format / Page

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
Issue appears with LO 5.1.6 as well as with current master.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 105298] New: Fonts in Mac not behaving like fonts in Windows or Linux

2017-01-12 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=105298

Bug ID: 105298
   Summary: Fonts in Mac not behaving like fonts in Windows or
Linux
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.1.4.2 release
  Hardware: All
OS: Mac OS X (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: e...@intellovations.com

Description:
Installed Avenir OTF fonts. On Mac and Linux (screenshots attached) the font
family is "Avenir LT Std 35 Light" with "Avenir LT Std 45 Book" and "Avenir LT
Std 55 Roman" as separate font families.

On Mac, "Avenir LT Std" is the family, and "35 Light", "45 Book", and "55
Roman" are typefaces. See attached screenshots.

The problem this causes is that these fonts are not found in documents created
on Windows or Linux when viewed on a Mac, and documents created with these
fonts are not found when viewed on Windows or Linux.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install the attached OTF fonts on Windows, Mac, and Linux.
2. Create a document with one of those fonts on Windows, Mac, and Linux.

Actual Results:
Documents created on Windows or Mac will not show the text in the selected font
when viewed on Mac, and documents created on Mac will not show the text in the
selected font when viewed on Windows or Linux.

Expected Results:
The document should render with the proper fonts on all platforms.

Reproducible: Always

--- Comment #11 from Jérôme  ---
My work will always use an older release since it is more tested. Maybe in a
few months I will get a new version at my office but I assume the 5.2 version
will be outdated then.

Can someone else test it on a Windows 7 box ?

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 105295] New: Additional Slideshow play mode "Resizeable window"

2017-01-12 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=105295

Bug ID: 105295
   Summary: Additional Slideshow play mode "Resizeable window"
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: unspecified
  Hardware: All
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: enhancement
  Priority: medium
 Component: Impress
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: francis.br...@agfa.com

Impress currently plays a slideshow in either "Full Screen" or in a program
window.When using a computer to display multiple presentations on a large
monitor, such as in a lobby or cafe, it would be great to be able to resize the
slideshow so that other applications could share the desktop. For example,
we want to run the slideshow along with a live news stream like CNN or MSNBC.
 Running in "Full Screen" hides the other application, and running in program
mode wastes space unnecessarily showing the program.

@Cor
I have created a better example to illustrate the inconsistency:
1. Open attached file
2. Drag ABC in the empty space between ZZZ - ZZZ (second ABC will be red)
3. Reset (CTRL+Z) drag ABC into the empty space between YYY - YYY (second ABC
will be red)
4. Reset (CTRL+Z) drag DEF between ZZZ - ZZZ (both will stay black)
5. Reset (CTRL+Z) drag DEF between YYY - YYY (both will stay black)

The text should stay black (as I see it). Same behavior can be found in Word

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 104819] Formatting: Corrupt Document/ Format After Save When Starting With Empty .docx Document

2017-01-12 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=104819

--- Comment #9 from junk_2...@live.co.uk ---
I have checked on another computer running Windows 10 Enterprise Edition, and
Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2013, that when a blank Microsoft Word
document is created in a folder using the Right Mouse Button form option, it is
zero size.

I have also checked that if I open a blank document created in this way in
Microsoft Word, and just save it, without making any edits, it is still zero
size.

However, if I open it in LibreOffice writer, and just save it, without making
any edits, it is 1KB in size. If I then quit LibreOffice and open the saved
"empty" document using Microsoft Word 2013, Microsoft Word thinks that the
document is corrupt.

Note that when I saved the document in LibreOffice writer I just pressed the
"save" icon. It saved with no user prompts.

I will attach this "blank" Microsoft Word document that saving in LibreOffice
writer has "corrupted".

Yes, it is true that with version 3.6.7.2, the "Manage conditional formatting"

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 105293] New: Clicking the font color button should apply the select font color instead of a color bucked

2017-01-12 Thread bugzilla-daemon

Bug ID: 105293
   Summary: Clicking the font color button should apply the select
font color instead of a color bucked
   Product: LibreOffice

  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: enhancement
  Priority: medium

Description:
The font color selector in Writer doesn't behave the same way as in Calc or
Impress (or Word, Google Docs, Wordpad for that matter).
I'm not able to click the font color icon, so I can type in that color next.
Instead I get a mouse pointer with a bucked, to change already typed text.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Open Writer
2.Type some text
3. Click on the font color button (default Bordeaux red)
4. Type something (text should be red)
5. Compare with Impress or Calc

Actual Results:
Text typed next is black

That is actually a very good question Caolan -
In Fedora 24 (Gnome 3.20) - all GTK3 applications suffered from this behavior
under Wayland. See the following external bug:
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1375560

However - since Fedora 25 (Gnome 3.22) - the problem was solved for all GTK3
apps, except for Libreoffice.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 105291] New: LibreOffice crashes before print dialog shows when certain printer is the default

2017-01-12 Thread bugzilla-daemon

Bug ID: 105291
   Summary: LibreOffice crashes before print dialog shows when
certain printer is the default
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.2.4.2 release
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: LibreOffice
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: grad...@gmail.com

Hi,

I tried installing the LibreOffice 5.2.4 (32 and 64 bits) and the 5.3 DEV
version. All version had the same problem:

When printing (ctrl+p) or asking for the print dialog to show up, if the HP
1109w is the default printer, libreoffice crashes. If the HP printer is not the
default one, the print dialog show up, but as soon I click in the HP printer in
the printers list, LO hangs.

In all computers (15 in total) I had installed LO, it crashes the same way. The
error details don't give much more information, it only tells that it was in
the KERNELBASE.DLL.

All computers have Windows 7 64 bits. I tried installing the driver that comes
with the printer and the one downloaded from the HP site.

I don't know what else to do. I've been trying to solve it for 2 days without
any success but no one seems to have this problem.

PS: Printing from others programs but LO works fine.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 90194] Make Breeze the new default in Windows 10

2017-01-12 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=90194

--- Comment #12 from V Stuart Foote  ---
UWP -- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Universal_Windows_Platform

For example Office 365 and the Outlook Web App have been implemented with UWP
in mind. But rather than Breeze, Sifr would actually be the better choice for a
changed default for Windows--just ensure it offers a full icon set to avoid
fall-back to Breeze, though I think most of that was resolved. Provide color
where needed, but mono-cromatic Sifr in general.

Regards this UX decision, personally I'm fine with retaining the Tango status
quo on Windows builds so a +1 for the Wontfix here.

Created attachment 130365

sample "complicated" pdf directly imported to Writer ODT

@Kevin, *

I'm not sure we really need this. Kind of out of scope for LibreOffice as we
make no claims to being a PDF editor.

Believe the existing import filter to handle PDF import directly to Writer [1]
rather than passing through draw does an acceptable rendering of the document.
The converted ODF is attached.

Yes there are times that having the ability to edit a PDF would be handy. But
we already provide our HybridPDF format to embed an ODF document within the
PDF.

Even Adobe own Acrobat does not provide ability to directly edit structure of
the PDF content--just touch-up. Why would we want to drag LibreOffice into that
at all?

=-ref-=
[1] by setting Tools -> Options -> General: Open/Save Dialogs "Use LibreOffice
dialogs" and then selecting the "PDF - Portable Document Format
(Writer)(*.pdf)" import filter.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 92407] Copying Spreadsheet Areas to Text Documents (help docs)

2017-01-12 Thread bugzilla-daemon

gmarco  changed:

   What|Removed |Added

Summary|Copying Spreadsheet Areas |Copying Spreadsheet Areas
   |to Text Documents (IT help) |to Text Documents (help
   ||docs)

--- Comment #6 from gmarco  ---
Summary (01/12/2017):
Re-testing in LO 5.2.3.3 and summarizing the issue, firstly I don't share the
summary editing by adding "(IT help)": all that it is said is true both for IT
and EN ... and, maybe, ..
Regarding "Copying Spreadsheet Areas to Text Documents" both in the local and
online help nothing is said about linking as DDE objects, and nothing is said
about the use of the method copy-paste special.
I share the Gabriele Ponzo's opinion about drag in comment#3: not every
use it, without doing a mess and it has to know its use
normal/+Ctrl/+Ctrl+Shift.
At item 6 I don't like the "You edit the objects ... , but you see ...": why
"but"? I'd write "as you'll see" or simply "seeing". Samething for IT "...
mentre con i fogli elettronici vengono visualizzati ...": here too, why
"mentre"?
Same time you should explain the significant difference between inserting as
OLE or DDE: with the first, data will remain incorporated as they are, with the
latter they will be logically linked to the source document reflecting, if
desired, all the changes occurred over time.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 105288] MailMerge: when running e-mail using a macro only a few messages get sent

2017-01-12 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=105288

--- Comment #3 from Alex Kempshall  ---
In MailMerge there are two processes going on in parallel.

1.
Format messages and place them on a dispatcher queue. When all messages have
been placed on the dispatcher queue the queue is stopped.

2.
Take messages off the dispatcher queue and send and await reply from smtp
server.

If step 2 above takes a lot longer than step 1 the queue is closed prematurely.

The code that closes the queue is here in sw/source/uibase/dbui/dbmgr.cxx
SwDBManager::MergeMailFiles

if( xMailDispatcher.is() )
{
xMailDispatcher->stop();
xMailDispatcher->shutdown();
}

If this is  changed to

while(xMailDispatcher->messageCount());

if( xMailDispatcher.is() )
{
xMailDispatcher->stop();
xMailDispatcher->shutdown();
}

Where xMailDispatcher->messageCount() is in
sw/source/uibase/dbui/maildispatcher.cxx and looks like

int MailDispatcher::messageCount()
{
return messages_.size();
}

--- Comment #3 from Peter Toye  ---
This is quite difficult to reproduce, as you need a copy of LO which has an
incorrect folder name for the macro which loads MRI. Also, it does not give an
LO crash report 100% of the time - most of the time (on Windows 7) I get a
window saying that LO has stopped working with the reason of APPCRASH.

I am not sure if you need to have an MRI macro library present to reproduce
this. My machine has one in "My Macros"

To reproduce:

1) Load this document. You will see the "Start Application" event is assigned
to a macro to load the MRI library stored in the document (it should of course
have been stored in LibreOffice).

2) Run the TestMRILoad.Standard.Main macro. This will try to call MRI, which
will not have been loaded. You get an error message. Terminate LO normally.

3) Either the crash report or the Windows error message pops up.

Right. What I was suggesting is to re-apply the patch of bug 103225, but adjust
it in a way that will not introduce the huge whitespace. i.e. use fixed size
everywhere, but use 750x550 only under gtk3, else use smaller fixed size.
