Attached another document with the same problem. Repsruduced in LO 5.1, 5.2 and
5.3 in KDE and Unity (Linux). Changing rendering to OpenGL does not help.

I think the priority should not be low.

The typo was the easy part.

I have no idea about the control fields status, this may be a bit of
wrong/unexplained terminology. This needs more investigation.

You would loose the html export option completely, and that's not what we want.
Rather the current/selected slides should be exported with default settings,
and I was taught it could be an easy hack. The task is to remove everything
between start of the wizard and export of slides.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 105359] New: PNG export of multiple slides fails

2017-01-16 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=105359

Bug ID: 105359
Summary: PNG export of multiple slides fails
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.1.4.2 release
  Hardware: All
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Impress
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: tabe...@gmail.com

When exporting slides in LO Impress in PNG, only the current slide is exported
as a picture although all slides were selected in the slides window. There
appears to be also no option to export the entire presentation into multiple
PNG files.
This is not the expected behavior when multiple slides were selected prior to
export.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 105360] New: paragraph property reset on change

2017-01-16 Thread bugzilla-daemon

some Paragraph property will be reset to unknown standards?? when changing
other properties.

Example:

- create a new Writer Document. Insert some Text.
- assign Paragraph template "Heading 1" (Überschrift 1) to the fist
Textparagraph.
- change properties of Headline 1 - template:
  - select a border, assign some distance, change border color (f.e. to
"green"), border.-size 2pt. assign and close option dialog.
- Headline will be formated as choosen.
- open again Headline-Option dialog, change for example distance to next
paragraph - assign -> Color of border is resetted to gray 8

You can change different properties - everytime bordercolour will be reset.

See also Bug #99895 which discripes same behaviour.

Definitely yes to 3. We also aim to promote formatting by styles and the direct
formatting shouldn't "made easy". As a rule of thumb direct formatting must not
be applied or inherited automatically.
Guess we can remove UX safely.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 105361] New: Select table row or table column is missing for table within a table ( cell)

2017-01-16 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=105361

Bug ID: 105361
Summary: Select table row or table column is missing for table
within a table (cell)
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: Inherited From OOo
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: trivial
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: tele...@surfxs.nl

Description:
When moving the mouse to the border of a table insert to a page "select table
row" or "select table column" popup. The same feature isn't working for a table
in a table.

There is a easy work around: manual selecting.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open attached file
2. Move the mouse to the border of the yellow table within the table cell.
3. Try to select a row or column. Adjust table row will popup

Actual Results:
Select table row or table column is missing for table within a table (cell)

Expected Results:
It should be possible (should it?) to somehow select a table column or table
row for a table in a table. Possible solutions:
1. Keep a margin between table border and the inserted table (like MS Word
does) It looks like a compromise too. I don't really like it.
2. Adding a option the right click menu
3.

and down by about 1/2 inch. Also, the line of commands (File etc) disappears.
Selecting (with difficulty due to the jumping) a writer menu icon displays a
drop-down that does not jump whilst the window behind is doing so.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Reboot Ubuntu (16.04)
2. Open Writer
3.

Actual Results:
It happens a lot, but Murphy being Murphy, did not happen when I opened writer
to prepare this report. I will add to this report when I am able.

Expected Results:
It shouldn't jump!

Reproducible: Sometimes

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
It is an 8-core AMD board with an Nvidia graphics card and the Nvidia driver,
driving a double-header display (both displays jump). The hardware has worked
well for several years. Ubuntu is 16.04 LTS, up-to-date.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 105364] New: Copy sheet, insert copy before first breaks inter-sheet cell links

2017-01-16 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=105364

Bug ID: 105364
Summary: Copy sheet, insert copy before first breaks
inter-sheet cell links
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: unspecified
  Hardware: All
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Calc
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: bugzi...@silverwolfmedia.com

When copying a sheet and inserting the copy before the first sheet (tab) breaks
the links between cells in different sheets.

Encountered on: LibreOffice 3.5.7.2 Build ID 350m1 (Build:2) running on Ubuntu
Linux 12.04.5 LTS, kernel 3.2.0-119-generic-pae #162-Ubuntu SMP Tue Dec 6
14:37:52 UTC 2016 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux.

How to reproduce:

Set up a new spreadsheet as follows:
1. Create new spreadsheet
2. Click "Sheet3" tab
3. Enter a value in cell A1 (e.g. "123")
4. Click "Sheet1" tab
5. In cell A1, enter "=", then click "Sheet3" tab, click cell A1, hit ENTER.
6. Click "Sheet1" tab, click cell A1. Value in this cell will now be:
"=Sheet3.A1".

Demonstrate correct behavior as follows:
7. Right-click "Sheet1" tab, select "Move/Copy Sheet", under "Action" select
"Copy"; under "Location" select "Insert Before Sheet2", click "OK". This will
create a new tab "Sheet 1_2" after the "Sheet1" tab.
8 Click "Sheet1_2", click cell A1. Value in this cell will now be:
"=Sheet3.A1". This is correct behavior.

Demonstrate incorrect behavior (i.e. expose the bug) as follows:
9. Right-click sheet1_2, select "Delete Sheet", click "Yes"
10. Right-click "Sheet1" tab, select "Move/Copy Sheet", under "Action" select
"Copy"; under "Location" select "Insert Before Sheet1", click "OK". This will
create a new tab "Sheet 1_2" before the "Sheet1" tab.
8 Click "Sheet1_2", click cell A1. Value in this cell will now be:
"=Sheet2.A1". THIS IS INCORRECT BEHAVIOR. The value should be "=Sheet3.A1" as
was the case when the copy was inserted after the "Sheet1" tab.

It's quite confusing to read through an old ticket (btw, LibO behavior of
font/highlight color is the same as with MS Word) with new issues (differences
between Writer and Calc; wherever it should be). So the best is to close this
ticket- and to create new in case it's needed.

Such option is called "Bild freistellen" in German. In content it would be a
combination of the tools "contour editor" and "color replacer". Considering how
bad these two dialogs are currently maintained, I doubt, that there will be a
developer who implements such tool. Nevertheless, I think it is a valid
request.

Notebookbar - Contextual groups is not the only case where LibreOffice needs a
proper UI scalability.
Furthermore, here on Fedora, it is not a high density screen, so it seems like
a more generic problem.

@Heiko
1. Open Writer; Use a default profile
2. Type some text 'ABC'
3. Click on Font Color button in the deck or toolbar (not the color select
arrow).
4. Type again some text. 'DEF'. Text will be black.
5. Move the mouse from the toolbar (or deck) to the page. Cursor will change in
a bucked.

Compare it with Impress
1. Open Impress
2. Type some text 'ABC' in a textbox
3. Click on Font Color button (not the color select arrow).
4. Type some text again: 'DEF' (direct formatting is set; red color)
5. Move the mouse from the toolbar (or deck) to slide (no bucked)

It's like Regina Henschel said:
Writer has two kind of icons. One of them gives the bucket and the other
doesn't. The bucket version is shown as default.
Please look in the customize dialog. The bucket version has the command
.uno:FontColor; the one without bucket has the command .uno:Color.

@Gian well I guess the simplest part would be to add the stuff to
http://opengrok.libreoffice.org/xref/help/to-wiki/wikiconv2.py

You have to build LibreOffice with a language pack and then run the wiki conv
script to get the files which would then later be uploaded. The upload happens
manually every half year (shortly after the release of the next major version),
so simply improving the script is enough. ;-)

Do you need more information?

Data source wizard without LDAP type

Hello,
Since version 5.1 and also with version 5.2, it is no longer possible to
establish a connection with an LDAP database. The LDAP database type is no
longer in the list of choices. I enclose a screenshot to illustrate my remarks.
What is the reason for this brutal absence?
Is it possible to reintegrate the LDAP database type into available data
sources from LibreOffice?
Thank you for your solutions.
Cordially
Bruno

Unfortunately there is no Crash Report link. The Crash Report dialog just shows

Any suggestions?

I just rebooted Ubuntu, opened Thunderbird to do something, then opened Writer.
The Unity panel disappeared and Writer started jumping. After a minute or two
it stopped jumping. The panel is still gone. I will reset unity and see if it
comes back. That will kill Firefox so I will report the result later.

There won't be a new locale for 5.2.z, as a new locale would also introduce a
new UI string in the language listbox, which we don't add for micro releases
because of the required subsequent translations. However, maybe a fallback to
en-GB instead of en-US could be implemented, I'd have to investigate.

I could not reproduce that btw. Once an explicit "English (UK)" date number

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 105367] New: Bibliography not saved properly in doc and docx

2017-01-16 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=105367

Bug ID: 105367
Summary: Bibliography not saved properly in doc and docx
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.2.3.3 release
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: kamil.pa...@gmail.com

Description:
If you have some bibliography entries present in your odt file and save it as
doc or docx, you lose all bibliography. The actual text of those bibliography
entries and index is still present (mostly), but the "metadata" are lost, so
you can no longer insert the entries, update the entries or update the index.
Simply put, it gets converted to a plain text.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. use the attached .odt file or create a new file by inserting new
document-local bibliography entry and add a bibliography index
2. save the document as doc and docx (or see the attached documents)

Actual Results:
For doc:
You can't right click on biblio entries or index and see "bibliography entry"
or "edit/update index" menu items. If you add a new index, it's empty. LO is
not aware of any biblio in the document.
For docx:
LO shows "[ CITATION "ABC"]" instead of "[ABC]" for entries. If you try to
edit it using the right click menu, you see that all the metadata except title
are empty (author, year). If you click "update index" on the index, again all
the metadata except title disappear.

Expected Results:
Doc and docx work the same way as odt.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No, but I tried this on several different computers (same
OS, different users).

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 105368] New: Horizontal lines in zoomed view sticks to upper edge of the screen

2017-01-16 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=105368

Bug ID: 105368
Summary: Horizontal lines in zoomed view sticks to upper edge
of the screen
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.2.3.3 release
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Draw
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: yunuskucu...@gmail.com

Description:
When the page is zoomed in over %100, selecting a horizontal line with mouse
and trying to move with arrow keys from keyboard causes the document to "jump"
to the upside of the screen. Pressing the arrow keys moves the line but on the
drawing area, line is seen sticked to upper edge of the screen and the document
seems to be moving (in any direction). So alignment with arrow keys is not
possible in zoomed views. If document zoomed out back to %100 then behaviour is
normal.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Open a new DRAW document
2.Draw a horizontal line and zoom in over %100
3.Select the line and press any arrow key

Actual Results:
Line position is sticked to upper side of the screen, when pressing the arrow
keys line seem to stop but the document is moving. Line is moving actually in
the direction of the arrow key but looks like document is moving. Which makes
alignment a pain.

Expected Results:
Document view shall be still and line shall be moving.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 105365] Clicking the font color button should apply the select font color instead of a color bucked

2017-01-16 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=105365

Finally I got it. For those who want to compare .uno:fontcolor with .uno:color
just modify a Notebookbar...

The function with bucket (.uno:fontcolor) applies the color to a selection that
will be made afterwards (if text was selected before both functions works
similarly). It doesn't toggles the feature on/off for text that is being
entered, but the bucket is continuously shown and you have to press escape to
leave the apply mode.
Without bucket (.uno:color) it behaves like other properties such as
bold/italic or bullets on/off and keeps the actual setting.

My suggestion is to have the bucket on double click and use the plain function
(.uno:color) by default for font color (meaning to unify both commands and
remove one of them). Microsoft Word does the same, by the way. The highlight
function should be different as it typically is not used for text that is being
entered.

When opening old Writer documents, with tables in it including some
calculations, Writer gives on the formula (Dutch): =som() the error
**Foutieve expressie**(=Expression Error). The expression should now apparently
be in English: =sum(), which is accepted. I have not read about an
intended change of localized function names to English in Writer.

That is a shame, if the "Breakpad" based report gatherer is not running to
catch a minidump and submit it to the project crashreport server, you have to
revert to catching the dump/mini-dump yourself and analyze--or catch the stack
trace--either done with WinDbg against symbols for the project.

Saving to DOC seems fine when round-tripping in LibreOffice, but in MSWord

I think DOCX doesn't even attempts to export FTNNUM_*

Thank you for the detailed report.
I guess 5.2. means 5.2.4.2 as marked in Version. 4.2. should also be reported
like that, precisely.
Please always test also with LO next version (now it's 5.3.0.1) and current LO
master version (5.4 alpha) from from
http://dev-builds.libreoffice.org/daily/master/
There's an ongoing work and changes, as you can see in Bug 103514.

Since your report is Linux only, I'll mark so, without testing, until further
testing.

Thank you for reporting the bug. Unfortunately, to me it seems more like an
Ubuntu problem than a LibreOffice one. Please report it to the Ubuntu's
bugtracker. Thanks

only horizontal text, are you sure the fonts supports vertical layout (has
vertical glyph metrics and so on)?

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 104343] FILEOPEN DOC/DOCX: Table isn't rendered correctly

2017-01-16 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=104343

This bug is not properly reported nor triaged, so I kindly ask you to take your
time and save someone else's.
"Table isn't rendered correctly" is not specific enough description and doesn't
reveal the source of the problem. Example is not minimum test case and it
records track changes which may not be relevant.

Table is wider than this custom-size paper. So what should LO do here? Show any
content even if outside of printing area?

In this specific case, someone mixed size or orientation on pages 1-2 while
page 3 is normal.

Again, why not try 5.3 and the new Safe mode feature? This way you would not
have to know where the profile resides.
