[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 106017] New: FORMATTING: TOC from old LO-Version mailformed formatted

2017-02-15 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=106017

Bug ID: 106017
Summary: FORMATTING: TOC from old LO-Version mailformed
formatted
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.3.0.3 release
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: mini-ma...@web.de

Description:
If you open a document from an old LO-Version (<5.3) the toc entries are
mailformed formatted. Spaces between the title (E) and an tab (T) strips the
left side (max one char). The tab himself is mailformed, too. The width and the
used sign is wrong!

OS/LibreOffice version: Windows 10 Education 64bit / Libreoffice 5.3.0.3 (Info:
UI-Renderer: Standard; Layout-Engine: neu;)

Tested on two pcs with Windows 10 and Windows 7.

Steps to Reproduce:
-Open the template (document.ott) [Pic 01]
-Update the toc [Pic 02]
--The Tab is currupt and the title is strip at the end
-Open Toc-settings and remove the space between E and T [Pic 03]
-The stipping ist gone, but tab is still wrong (if you reset the space the
stripping is already there! Multiple spaces strips always only one char!) [Pic
04]
-Delete toc and create new one -> everything works fine, also after change the
entries (add tab and spaces and so on - see 04.png) [Pic 05]

Actual Results:
-Tab has now function until delete and recreate the toc.
-Entry were stripped if any character were added behind of them.

Expected Results:
Toc is formated correctly (like in LO <5.3)
Tab through the end of the line and no stripping of the title after adding a
space behind this entry.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

After creating the new toc, the tab is formatted correctly, but the stripping

Sorry for the duplicate, I searched for TOC and Table of Content (which is a
mess of entries) and have not seen the entry.

But this is not exacly a duplicate, because of the also mailformed TAB if you
open the document and update that. This happens independently from the striped
entry. It seems this are two bugs which I comment. Please check if this is also
addressed with the commit you posted.

See step 1 (open the old) and step 2 (only update of the toc). The Tab is
completly wrong (sign/width). I need to recreate the complete toc to repair the
tab.

Thank you very much! Bye

i cannot repro it too, but i might have an idea: the Windows-taskbar is using
"two rows". Is that maybe producing the problem?

exists. I created a test file with 3 different images and all cropped and not
cropped. Résumé:

Only cropped JPEG photographs that were NOT manipulated with image manipulation
programs like GIMP are affected (see page 2, manipulated JPEG images see page

Only cropped PNG images that are cropped with "JPEG quality" (and not with "PNG

2017-02-15 Thread bugzilla-daemon

Bug ID: 106019
Summary: Text rotations not applied when opening SVG file
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.3.0.3 release
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium

Test SVG file

If an SVG file contains rotated text, that rotation is not applied when I open
it in Draw. Rotation of other drawing objects (eg: a rectangle) works fine.

Interestingly if you insert the SVG (Insert > Image) rather than open it (File
> Open) then the rotated text is displayed correctly.

Test SVG file attached. Will attach screenshots of what I see also.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 106020] New: Crash in: SdrObject::SetOrdNum(unsigned long)

2017-02-15 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=106020

Bug ID: 106020
   Summary: Crash in: SdrObject::SetOrdNum(unsigned long)
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.2.3.3 release
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Calc
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: elja...@gmail.com

This bug was filed from the crash reporting server and is
br-13377f83-fd81-46e6-994b-2dcf6a5ec465.
=
I copied a block of data (A1:Z36) from spreadsheet2 into spreadsheet1.
I then attempted to add a similar block of data from spreadsheet3 into
spreadsheet1, but libreoffice crashed when 'Copy' was selected (i.e. calc
crashed instantly when Ctrl-C was pressed).
This behaviour repeated three times with the same files, but then the copy
process worked without crashing, and I copied data from about eight files into
spreadsheet1.
Note: It did not make any difference whether copy was attempted using either
Ctrl-C or the context menu.
I then repeated exactly the same steps as the initial process, and libreoffice
crashed on the second copy action.
I can open any of the spreadsheets individually with no problems.

Set "Hardware" to "All".

By the way, a selected/marked range also disappears in Writer when going to
Print Preview and back! Should this behavior in Writer be another bug or can we
set "Component" from "Calc" to "LibreOffice" or "UI"? I think all components of
LibreOffice use a common code that causes this bug.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 101000] FILESAVE: Images disappear when DOC saved to ODT

2017-02-15 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=101000

I did some digging and testing and the bit of code that relates to the bisected
commit is actually useless. Infact, if that block of code was working as
expected, the image elements in the attached document should be renamed as:

- Picture 0
- Picture 01
- Picture 02
- Picture 03

But they end up being named as:

- Picture 0
- Image2
- Image3
- Image4

Removing altogether the rename logic from the XMLTextFrameContext_Impl::Create
method in xmloff/source/text/XMLTextFrameContext.cxx, preserves the same
behaviour without causing the regression.
Also, not trying to perform rename, it actually addresses the original
performance concern that introduced the regression.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 106021] New: FORMATTING: Writer does not accept CSS box model for paragraphs

2017-02-15 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=106021

Bug ID: 106021
Summary: FORMATTING: Writer does not accept CSS box model for
paragraphs
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: Inherited From OOo
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: thomas.le...@gmail.com

In 2008 I entered a bug in OpenOffice.org:
https://bz.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=97151 (Space between paragraphs
filled with paragraph background color).

Regina Henschel consolidated that bug with some others to a new bug:
https://bz.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=125316 (Writer does not accept CSS
box model for paragraphs)

I will copy her bug issue text from AOO because it still exists in both
programs AOO and LO (Regina, I hope you have no problem with that):

In ODF1.2 the spacing around paragraphs is done with the properties
fo:margin, fo:border and fo:padding. [chapter 20.198, 20.176, 20.210] They have
no own definitions, but take the definitions from $7 in XSL
http://www.w3.org/TR/2001/REC-xsl-20011015/. And XSL uses directly the
definitions from CSS2. And there we find the "Box model"
http://www.w3.org/TR/CSS2/box.html. So in turn AOO should render paragraphs as
defined in this "Box model".

1.
The margin area is transparent. In chapter 8.2 in CSS2 "Margin backgrounds are
always transparent."
Error: Writer extends the paragraph background into the top-margin, see first
page of attached document.

2.
The properties margin, border and padding are independent usable.
Error: Writer removes padding, when no border exists, see second page of
attached document. The last text there should have a padding.

I [Regina] have found several issues with descriptions from a user point of
view. I [Regina] will set them as duplicate to this [AOO issue 125316]. But the
problems described there should be considered when working on this issue.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 106022] New: MailMerge: when running e-mail using a macro the MailMergeEventListener is monitoring wrong events

2017-02-15 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=106022

Bug ID: 106022
Summary: MailMerge: when running e-mail using a macro the
MailMergeEventListener is monitoring wrong events
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.4.0.0.alpha0+ Master
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: mcmurchy1917-bugzi...@yahoo.co.uk

I have a macro which displays a progress bar in the status area based on the
MailMergeEventListener. The progress bar should show progress of the sending of
my messages - which it does. On completion a "Done" message box should appear
which it does.

However, the "Done" message box appears some time after the progress bar has
indicated that all the messages have been sent. I have no evidence, but what
the progress bar appears to be doing is tracking the mail merge when it should
be, I believe, tracking the sending of the merged documents via email.

Steps to reproduce the problem.

1.
Download the files CompanySeedStarted1.odt and CompanySeedTestData1.odb from
this bug report. The database CompanySeedTestData1.odb contains 63 entries all
with dummy email addresses.

2.
Start LibreOffice writer with the document CompanySeedStarted1.odt downloaded
in step 1. Note: this file contains a macro so be mindful that some security
steps might need to be taken.

3.
Tools -> Mail Merge Wizard

4.
The "Select starting document" dialog box should appear. The left pane should
contain 5 steps. In the right pane select the "Use Current Document" Radio
Button. Then press the "Next >>" Button.

5.
The "Select document type" dialog box should appear. Select the "E-mail
message" Radio Button. Then press the "Next" Button.

6.
The "Insert address block" dialog box should appear. Press the "Select
Different Address List" Button.

7.
The "Select Address List" dialog box should appear. Press the "Add" Button.

8.
The "Open - LibreOffice" dialog should appear. Navigate to directory containing
CompanySeedTestData1.odb downloaded in step 1. Once the database has been
selected press the "Open" Button.

9.
The "Select Address List" dialog box should re-appear with the database
CompanySeedTestData1 and the table tblCompanySeedTestData1 added to the list of
available databases. If not already selected - select this database. Press the
"OK" Button.

10.
Control should be returned to the "Mail Merge Wizard" dialog. Press the
"Finish" Button.

11.
If not already done so. Establish the Mail Merge E-mail settings by navigating
from the menu Tools -> Options -> LibreOffice Writer -> Mail Merge E-Mail

11.1
The "Options LibreOffice Writer Mail Merge E-Mail" dialog should appear. Enter
the senders name you want to be called by, the senders email address, the
server name, the port number. If not already checked left click the "Use secure
connection (SSL) check box. Push the "Server Authentification" Button.

11.2
The "Server Authentification" dialog should appear. Enter the senders email
address and the senders password for the smtp server. Push the "OK" button.

11.3
Control will be passed back to the "Options LibreOffice Writer Mail Merge
E-Mail" dialog. Push the OK Button. Control will return to the open document.

12.
Run the MailMerge macro by navigating from the menu Tools -> Macros - Run
Macro.

13.
The "Macro Selector" dialog should appear.

14.
In the left hand "Library" pane navigate to the macro CompanyStarted1.odt ->
Standard -> CompanyStarted1

15.
In the right hand "Macro Name" pane select the macro "Email_Test_0001". Press
the "Run" button".

16.
Control should be passed back to the document. Progress will be indicated by
the progress bar in the status area. Should process 63 of 63 messages. A "Done"
message box should appear.

Adding a field to a form

LibreOffice Base using versions 5.3.0.3 or 5.2.5.1

Based on some of the comments I may not have explained the problem clear
enough.
There was some mention of adding buttons to a form but that is not what I am
referring to. As mentioned in my original comment, it has to do with adding a
FIELD to an existing form.

The field is added using the Form Design Toolbar icon number 6. Using this icon
places the field on the form with a white background and no border. In Base
5.3.0.3 using the Control Properties Text Box, the options to change the
Background color and Border color were missing. Not so in version 5.2.5.1
The reason for changing the background color is to match the existing fields.

Need additional clarification please let me know.

Thanks again, Ron (rongraham1...@rogers.com)

if you load the .doc in writer and then go to the navigator you'll see under
Images 4 "Picture 0" elements listed. If you rename one to "thing" and try and
rename another to "thing" LibreOffice won't let you do that. So it still looks
to me that these names need to be unique per category and that the .doc
importer should enforce unique graphic names
