https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=106312 V Stuart Foote changed: What|Removed |Added Status|UNCONFIRMED |RESOLVED CC||vstuart.fo...@utsa.edu Component|Writer |LibreOffice Resolution|--- |DUPLICATE --- Comment #1 from V Stuart Foote --- In fact input with the Unicode toggle, or Special character dialog input for these characters is already provided in the LibreOffice GUI. Also, the generic Microsoft Windows ALT Code numberpad IME syntax works correctly within LibreOffice -- i.e. +0186 and +0170 for the ordinal indicators. So l10n support needed for entering these specialized glyphs from a pt-BR keyboard while helpful is really not necessary within LibreOffice. As with duplicate bug 71176 the Special Character dialog, and the +x Unicode toggle (bug 73691) already supports the general case for when locale keyboard or OS provides an unsupported Input Method Engine (IME). º - U+00ba - MASCULINE ORDINAL INDICATOR ª - U+00aa - FEMININE ORDINAL INDICATOR ° - U+00b0 - DEGREE SIGN So, for now it *is* trivial to input these and similar locale specific characters without needing to implement them in LibreOffice l10n source for keyboard deadkeys or other IME. But long term improvement in cross platform support for making use of OS provided IME and keyboard mappings is needed for i18n. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 71176 *** -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=94918 --- Comment #13 from christophe_y2k --- hi all, thanks to reply me but we are in 2017 and i send this bug in 2015. now i use another more recent version of libre office. i do not use (known) the method " in Calc, menu Edition > Link... then break all links and save the file, then insert the file in the Draw document." the solution have found and working today with recent libreoffice version is to modify the local temp directory. i setup temp folder for libreoffice in my home user directory, i think gentoo system (with systemd) temp directory was purged too rapidly and since i modify in libre office settings this tmp folder i never loosing inserted pictures, even if my doc is in my linux network folder with image directory or if my document was on my computer and image folder in network folder. I just insert image from network folder in my calc document and do not use draw, now i export directly my doc in pdf from calc. the only bug is when i move or resize my picture inserted, that do not delete the first image, i must to manually delete it. ex when i resize(with mouse) image that create new smaller image but not erase the precedent biggest image. https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=106310 Bug ID: 106310 Summary: FILESAVE symmetric transition of Bézier point lost on save Product: LibreOffice Version: 4.2.5.2 release Hardware: x86 (IA32) OS: Windows (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Draw Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: rb.hensc...@t-online.de Disable any snapping. Create a Bézier curve with three anchor points. Set the middle anchor point to symmetric transition. Save the document and reload it. Examine the middle point. Does it still have a symmetric transition? If yes, move its control points and save and reload again. Working with such curves often leads to a corner point after reloading. The reason is, that in that cases the path is not saved with the special path command "s" for a symmetric transition, but with the generic "c" command. So this is a weakness in implementation. It seems to use the coordinates to determine whether it is a symmetric transition or not and fails because of one off rounding inaccuracy. Instead it should use the state, which was set by the user to determine a symmetric transition. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

Because of this, I use "Persian" locale in Libreoffice. Now that I want to open an English language Impress document, from LO 5.3 I see numerals in Hindi, although I have selected "context" in Options > Language Settings > Complex Text Layout > General Options > Numerals. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Set locale to Persian in Options > Language Settings > Languages > Locale setting 2. Set "Numerals" to "context" in Options > Language Settings > Complex Text Layout > General Options. 3. Open or create some Impress presentation with English text and numerals. Actual Results: Numerals are shown in Hindi, like ۱, ۲, ۳, etc., which is wrong. Expected Results: Numerals should be shown in Arabic, like 1, 2, 3, etc. Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: This seems to be created in LibreOffice 5.3, which fixed a lot of text rendering issues. Because of this, I use "Persian" locale in Libreoffice. Now that I want to create an English language document, I change the keyboard into English, and change the paragraph to left-to-right, and start typing. When I closely look at the status bar, I see Persian in the language section of the status bar, and I should type at least one character to see Englih language there. This may not seem to create problems at first, but actually it does. When I want to write quotation mark, it uses the Persian/Farsi quotation mark, and not the correct English one. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Set locale to Persian in Options > Language Settings > Languages > Locale setting 2. Change the paragraph to LTR 3. Start typing something with single or double quotation mark like: "Test" or 'Test' Actual Results: You will see that the first quotation mark is shown as « which is wrong. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 106305] New: Drawing complex groups with complex placed glues.
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=106305 Bug ID: 106305 Summary: Drawing complex groups with complex placed glues. Product: LibreOffice Version: unspecified Hardware: All OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: enhancement Priority: medium Component: Draw Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: martin.marmso...@gmail.com Hello, I drawed some of my pictures of the bachelor thesis with LO draw, but I had there some inconveniences. At the moment you can add glues just to the edges of a group (which is a rectangle) but sometime it's useful do add glues to more complex symbols and removing the glues from the edges of the group, to connect multiple complex groups together. You can add glues to parts of the group, but outside of the group they aren't visible. So it should be possible to combine a symbol with a textedit with specified glues, and the text is later possible to change. Is there a possibility to implement something like this in LO? The data won't be detected as data in rows, but as data in columns. You have to type "Next" and choose "Data-series in rows". Do the same with data in columns: Mark A10:B16 Start the wizard for creating a chart. Choose x/y (chatter). The data would be shown the right way. Seems the default has been set to columns. Most data in school are written in rows. Pupils when starting the wizard and get such a chart with data in columns. So I see two possibilities to change this: 1. There could be a possibility set the default in Tools > Options ... 2.
