It's not even clear to me that Tietze understands the feature request---his objections are completely specious. Have to say, I'm having a very hard time with LO right now. I've tried using LO's Search and Replace feature to replace hard-formatting with "character styles" (as a simple workaround) but this very basic feature is utterly broken. https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=106730 Worse yet, the latest release of LO has broken many of its macros and extensions: https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=106529 So I can't t publish to Epub format using LO. From where I sit, and as far as modern word processing goes, LO is imploding. I could install an earlier version of LO but that would only fix one of the bugs. Unfocus from the cell editing and Ctrl-click the link to check the txt file is opened 6. Ctrl-K in the hyperlinked cell to reopen the Hyperlink dialog 7. Click in the Path input field and hit End and Home on your keyboard - this is important. Notice, how when you hit End, you see the spaces and not the URL-encoded %20s. 8. Click OK and Ctrl-click the link again. My result is: The file or folder home/user/libobugs/Is this the real life . IsIs this the real life . Is this just fantasy . Caught in a landslide . no escape from reality.txt does not exist So it has appended the filename in the beginning for some reason. https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=106715 --- Comment #2 from Wayne Monson--- Hi there, The form I am working with is for my company and does contain sensitive information. In fact, the company considers the very nature of the form to be confidential at this time. So, I will need some time to develop a fictitious database in order to help you further. In the meantime, some additional information about this bug report: when I deleted fields from the form I was working with to less than sixty, I was able to use the mouse to navigate to the next and previous records as expected. Given these parameters, I am hoping that I have provided sufficient information for the development team to investigate this bug further despite the status of my bug report at present. While I can appreciate there are lots of bugs to attend to, I would be disappointed to see this matter put on hold. While this bug is probably not considered critical, it is significant enough that my company will likely be looking for another solution than LibreOffice to meet its needs in the immediate future. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 106723] Better visibility of not found search term
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=106723 Heiko Tietzechanged: What|Removed |Added Status|UNCONFIRMED |NEW Ever confirmed|0 |1 --- Comment #1 from Heiko Tietze --- Color must not be the primary and only indicator of information. So a "not found" is still required, though it could be placed inline. I dislike the red highlighting as this color is reserved for errors and system relevant warnings. Not found could be an intentional result of a search. On the other hand the text is not easy to see at the current position. So my suggestion is to have a dedicated section where the number of results are show. If you search for "Test" in a dummy text (dt+f3 for English) you get "0 results", "He" could results in "1+ results" for simple Find and "42 results" for Find all. Maybe combined with next/previous so that a numerical stepper allows to go to the 5th citation.
