I think native library that's packed in android viewer is missing
password-related methods or function. Need to change solenv/bin/native-code.py
in order to bring the functionality to android. Correct me if I'm wrong.

2017-03-23 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=106734

Bug ID: 106734
Summary: Incorrect colors imported from XLS with conditional
formatting (XLSX is okay)
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: Inherited From OOo
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Calc
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: ba...@caesar.elte.hu

Created attachment 132111
  --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=132111=edit
XLS sample

The attached XLS contains conditionally formatted cells with the predefined
color schemes in Excel 2013. (Light Red Fill with Dark Red Text etc.)

A lot of those colors are imported incorrectly, especially Dark Red, which is
imported as purple. The rest are only slightly different. The same colors look
okay when imported from XLSX.

Color codes from Excel (text and background):
A2: 156 / 0 / 6 255 / 199 / 206
B2: 156 / 101 / 0 255 / 235 / 156
C2: 0 / 97 / 0 198 / 239 / 206
D2: Automatic 255 / 199 / 206
E2: 156 / 0 / 6 No fill
F2: Automatic No fill border 156 / 0 / 6

Color codes/names from Calc (text and background):
A2: #800080 Pink 10
B2: #993300 Yellow
C2: Green 5 Green 10
D2: Black Pink 10
E2: #800080 No fill
F2: Black No fill border #800080

Reproduced with v5.3.1.2 & v3.3.0 / Windows 7.

I'm still unable to reproduce any problems on the Excel side after saving this
file in LibreOffice. The file itself looks ok except for the column/row label
which seems to be just not imported by Excel at all.

Basically my advice is not to use column/row labels in conditional format
formulas. They are most likely not portable across all formats. (same might
apply for range names).

Thanks, good to know the distinction--and that we do anti-alaising by default,
just not sub-pixel rendering, right?

2017-03-23 Thread bugzilla-daemon

Bug ID: 106733
Summary: Implement ODF attribute fo:hyphenate to exclude a
portion of text from hyphenation
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.4.0.0.alpha0+ Master
  Hardware: x86 (IA32)
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: enhancement
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: rb.hensc...@t-online.de

This is translated feature request from
http://listarchives.libreoffice.org/de/discuss/msg20770.html

Request: Add an option to exclude a portion of text from hyphenation. There is
a workaround to set the language to "none". But then you loose spell check and
thesaurus.

ODF 1.2 has already the suitable attribute "fo:hyphenate" in section 20.188,
part 1. Currently LibreOffice does not even keep the attribute, if it is
present.

We now use DirectWrite by default for text rendering on Windows whether OpenGL
is on or off, and fallback to GDI for the cases we don’t handle well with
DirectWrite yet (rotated/vertical text, horizontal scaling). DirectWrite by
design does anti-aliasing (smoothing) unlike GDI. I think you can change the
system font settings to disable font smoothing if you wish so.

How do you share a document in LibreOffice in any OS? By selecting share
document of course :D and then saving it. But I'm using Windows 10 Pro on my
workstations and Windows Server 2012 R2 on my server. It happens with Linux
Mint 18 also.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 106732] New: Autocaption shows Other OLE Objects instead of Spreadsheet, Draw, etc.

2017-03-23 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=106732

Bug ID: 106732
Summary: Autocaption shows Other OLE Objects instead of
Spreadsheet, Draw, etc.
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.4.0.0.alpha0+ Master
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: serval2...@yahoo.fr

Description:
On pc Debian x86-64 with master sources updated today + enable-dbgutil + gtk3,
I don't have SpreadSheet, Draw, etc in Autocaption

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open Writer
2. Tools/Options
3. Select LibreOffice Writer
4. Select AutoCaption

Actual Results:
Here's the list:
LibreOffice Writer Table
LibreOffice Writer Frame
LibreOffice Writer Image
Other OLE Objects
Other OLE Objects
Other OLE Objects
Other OLE Objects
Other OLE Objects

Expected Results:
Here's the list:
LibreOffice Writer Table
LibreOffice Writer Frame
LibreOffice Writer Image
LibreOffice Spreadsheet
LibreOffice Drawing
LibreOffice Formula
LibreOffice Chart
LibreOffice Presentation

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: Yes

Additional Info:
In sw/source/ui/config/optload.cxx, in SwCaptionOptPage::Reset, I noticed that
behaviour is ok if I first create a variable corresponding to
SvGlobalName(SO3_OUT_CLASSID) then compare rOleId with it

2017-03-23 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=106731

Bug ID: 106731
Summary: No indication macro is read-only
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: Inherited From OOo
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: enhancement
  Priority: medium
 Component: BASIC
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: katarina.behr...@cib.de

Description:
I can't believe this hasn't been filed yet, but I haven't found any related
ticket, so here we go:

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Tools > Macros > Organize Macros > Libreoffice Basic
2. Click 'Libreoffice Macros' in the tree-list on the left
3. In the same tree-list, pick a macro from any of those system-wide modules,
for example Gimmicks.Autotext

(it is important to try with system-wide macros and not with user-defined or
document-specific ones, otherwise you won't see the misfeature)

4. Click 'Edit'
5. Try to edit the source code

Actual Results:
Nothing happens. Macro is read-only. That wouldn't be an issue, but user really
has no way of knowing that this is the case.

Expected Results:
A yellow-ish info bar ("this document is read-only") would appear, just like
for normal documents. Or it would be indicated in another suitable way that it
is futile to try to edit this macro

Reproducible: Always

It is incorrect. The EPS file I am wanting to use contains two horizontal

I am wondering whether Writer on a Microsoft machine is capable of handling an
EPS file. I use Linux which has rich support for PostScript.

//This condescending no-can-do attitude will very definitely dissuade many

Though the comment will probably be marked abusive, I unfortunately agree. It's
not even clear to me that Tietze understands the feature request---his
objections are completely specious.

Have to say, I'm having a very hard time with LO right now. I've tried using
LO's Search and Replace feature to replace hard-formatting with "character
styles" (as a simple workaround) but this very basic feature is utterly broken.

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=106730

Worse yet, the latest release of LO has broken many of its macros and
extensions:

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=106529

So I can't t publish to Epub format using LO. From where I sit, and as far as
modern word processing goes, LO is imploding. I could install an earlier
version of LO but that would only fix one of the bugs. I'll be using Word and
Softmaker Office until all this gets sorted out.

Thanks.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 106730] New: Searching for Character Formatting is Broken

2017-03-23 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=106730

Bug ID: 106730
Summary: Searching for Character Formatting is Broken
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.3.1.2 release
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: vermontp...@gmail.com

Description:
Searching for direct formatting like bold and italics simply doesn't work.
Words and/or swathes of text are highlighted in the search results that have
nothing to do with the search terms. This makes it impossible, for example, to
replace a directly formatted BOLD character with soft-formatting (character
styles instead of direct formatting). I can produce this Bug on both my Linux
and Windows installation of LO.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Search for Bold or Italics (Hard-Formatting)

Actual Results:
Chaotic. Highlight words and text that have nothing to do with search term.

Expected Results:
If I search for Italics, for example, LO should highlight all italicized words
or text strings.

This is basic and essential functionality that works on every other word
processor I use: Word and Softmaker Office among others.

Reproducible: Always

Wadda bunch of nose-in-the-air conceptual nonsense.

I guess those idiots at Microsoft and Adobe should note their failures.

FYI
I already use the sidebar to apply styles - how else would you do it?
I have already assigned a number of styles to keyboard short-cuts.
Heaven forbid the toolbars should include the tools to actually be useful.

I set-up an RSS feed a few days ago to start watching the needUXEval posts.
As a way for a new guy to see what was happening and to get involved in the
Design team as a contributor.
But if a valid request from an advanced knowledgeable user for a real
productivity enhancement is treated like this - it appears this "team" is
likely to be a giant waste of time.

This condescending no-can-do attitude will very definitely dissuade many
contributors.

The opposite with a can-do attitude ...
Thank You Regina for the contribution towards the actual goal.
Very helpful.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 106729] New: Crash setting setMultiSelectionMode for FilePicker

2017-03-23 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=106729

Bug ID: 106729
Summary: Crash setting setMultiSelectionMode for FilePicker
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.3.1.2 release
  Hardware: All
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: BASIC
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: gerhard.we...@t-online.de

Description:
When I execute the macro

sub testFilePicker

dim oFilePicker as object

oFilePicker = createUnoService("com.sun.star.ui.dialogs.FilePicker")
oFilePicker.setMultiSelectionMode(false)
msgbox "A"

end sub

in release 5.3.1.2 LibO crashes. If the "...setMultiSelection..." is set
inactive it works (and opens the dialog in my original program).
The same macro does still work in LibO 5.2.3.3, as I have tested after
reinstalling this older version.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Run the above macro

Actual Results:
LibO crashes

Expected Results:
A messagebox with text "A"

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 106553] Hyperlink to filename containing spaces or other URL-encodable characters is mangled upon examination with End key , if name is longer than input field

2017-03-23 Thread bugzilla-daemon

Buovjaga changed:

   What|Removed |Added

   Priority|medium |low

   ||with End key, if name is

 OS|Windows (All) |All
   Severity|normal |minor

New steps for full enlightenment:

1. Create an empty txt file with spaces in the name, long enough that it does
not fit in the Hyperlink dialog's Path input field. Example I used: Is this the
real life . Is this just fantasy . Caught in a landslide . no escape from
reality.txt
2. Open Calc and Ctrl-K in some cell to insert hyperlink
3. Go to Document tab, click the browse button next to Path input field, select
the file you created in step 1
4. Enter some gibberish in the Text input field and click OK
5. Unfocus from the cell editing and Ctrl-click the link to check the txt file
is opened
6. Ctrl-K in the hyperlinked cell to reopen the Hyperlink dialog
7. Click in the Path input field and hit End and Home on your keyboard - this
is important. Notice, how when you hit End, you see the spaces and not the
URL-encoded %20s.
8. Click OK and Ctrl-click the link again.

My result is:

The file or folder home/user/libobugs/Is this the real life . IsIs this the
real life . Is this just fantasy . Caught in a landslide . no escape from
reality.txt does not exist

So it has appended the filename in the beginning for some reason.

To confirm the theory of the URL-encoded characters, you can compare with a
filename like this:
Is_this_the_real_life_._Is_this_just_fantasy_._Caught_in_a_landslide_._no_escape_from_reality.txt

You can also compare by dragging the Hyperlink dialog to be very wide.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 106686] Restart the numbering footnotes at the beginning of each chapter but there is no option to add chapter

2017-03-23 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=106686

This is the only solution:
https://ask.libreoffice.org/en/question/5415/restarting-footnote-numbers-for-each-chapter/

(a) Highlight your "Chapter 1"
(b) Format ---> Paragraph ---> "Outline & Numbering"
(c) Set "Outline level" to read "Level 1."
(d) Repeat (a)-(c) for each additional chapter.
(e) Tools ---> Footnotes/Endnotes and set "Counting" to "Per Chapter"

You cannot mark beginning of each chapter in a different way.

That "Per chapter" option misleads users, it should be "Per outline level 1" as
there is no such thing as "chapter" in Writer.

Hi there,

The form I am working with is for my company and does contain sensitive
information. In fact, the company considers the very nature of the form to be
confidential at this time. So, I will need some time to develop a fictitious
database in order to help you further.

In the meantime, some additional information about this bug report: when I
deleted fields from the form I was working with to less than sixty, I was able
to use the mouse to navigate to the next and previous records as expected.

Given these parameters, I am hoping that I have provided sufficient information
for the development team to investigate this bug further despite the status of
my bug report at present. While I can appreciate there are lots of bugs to
attend to, I would be disappointed to see this matter put on hold. While this
bug is probably not considered critical, it is significant enough that my
company will likely be looking for another solution than LibreOffice to meet
its needs in the immediate future.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 106723] Better visibility of not found search term

Color must not be the primary and only indicator of information. So a "not
found" is still required, though it could be placed inline. I dislike the red
highlighting as this color is reserved for errors and system relevant warnings.
Not found could be an intentional result of a search.

On the other hand the text is not easy to see at the current position. So my
suggestion is to have a dedicated section where the number of results are show.
If you search for "Test" in a dummy text (dt+f3 for English) you get "0
results", "He" could results in "1+ results" for simple Find and "42 results"
for Find all. Maybe combined with next/previous so that a numerical stepper
allows to go to the 5th citation.

NEW for the better visibility, keeping NEEDSUX for further input.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 106581] Insertion of a PDF image results in poor import quality

2017-03-23 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=106581

--- Comment #8 from sergio.calleg...@gmail.com ---
Not only "not justified". The character positioning can vary widely (and
probably the font too). This means that a technical drawing, or a graph, where
the relative positioning of the text and the other elements is fundamental, can
get completely messed up. In some cases, where you need to import a large PDF
image, you can get to the point where part of the text goes off the page.

I understand about URL encoding.
But, link after opening settings window becomes invalid value, possible it
depends from url length.
On my video: when I click on the link first time the document by link was
opened in notepad.
After open/close settings I click second time and see Message about wrong URL.
If the URL is short (no encoding depends) then it not will be corrupted.
Percentage encoding just did length bigger.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 106685] Direct Colour Management extension doesn't work

2017-03-23 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=106685

I have added a new release 1.1.3 to DCM on the extensions site. It worked fine
on release 5.3.1.2 of LibO.
It is not yet displayed as the current release, and I am waiting for someone to
help with this issue, but you will find it at the bottom of the list of
releases whence you can download it.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 106529] LibO 5.3.1.x breaks extensions for changes in BASIC parser ( error message: "Basic Syntax error. Expected: ).")

2017-03-23 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=106529

Concerning extension DCM:
I supplied the missing parentheses and tested with rel. 5.3.1.2: the error no
longer occurred after the changes.
I added a new release to my extension, but it does not show there as the
current release. It is visible at the bottom of the list, nevertheless, which
is out of the normal order. I can download and install it, and it works
properly.
So the remaining problem is that it should be displayed as the current release.
Can anybody help?

in the original file the arrow is pointing to the right and rotated by 180°,
thus pointing to the left.

This is exported correctly. Open the exported file in excel the arrow still
points to the left as attachment 127856 shows.

But on opening the exported xlsx file in LO the rotation is not applied like in
bug 83672.

When saving the file as ods (LO 5.2.6) and reopening the rotation is applied,
the arrow points to left. (placement is wrong, though)

I only now checked on 5.3 and saw that the "poor quality" is not about
rendering quality, but the lines not being justified.
