The issue seems to be with running the program as a standard user without
administrative privileges. I have installed the installable 5.3.2 version. When
run from the administrator account the program looks to work completely as
normal. Run as administrator from a standard user account also works normally.
Run as a standard user results in the issues noted.

I don't know what it's the meaning for formulas on H dividing percents by the
population, but results are correct.
If the issue is with the format, then formating H cells on a prefered way,
should help.
I can't see any bug here.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 107654] New: Table Design window for new table, title bar names existing Table1

2017-05-05 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=107654

Bug ID: 107654
Summary: Table Design window for new table, title bar names
existing Table1
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.4.0.0.alpha0+
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: trivial
  Priority: medium
 Component: Base
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: lo_b...@iseries-guru.com

STR

(1) Download and open embedded_fb.odb, attached to bug 107653
.
Program presents main database window.

(2) In pane Database, click . Pane Tables shows Table1 and
Table2.

(3) In pane Tasks, click . Program
presents window "Table Design".

Observed : The title bar names "Table1".

Expected : I am not sure. Perhaps table name "unnamed1", or
"unknown1", or "New table 1", or something like that.
However "Table1" is not a possible name for the new
   table.

The default table name supplied when you save the table definition is,
quite naturally and rightly, Table3.

If you do a second at the same time, the
name in the title bar of the Table Design window is incremented to
Table2, which also happens to be wrong in this case.

This observation is with daily Linux dbgutil bibisect repository
version 2017-05-05 running on debian-stretch.

I think I remember this happening for a long time, and I have never
noticed anybody else mention the problem. Moreover, anybody doing
real work is unlikely to create a table with such a generic name as
Table1. So, I am setting importance two levels below the default,
giving Trivial.

At a guess, I am setting O/S = All.

I see the problem even the condition is set immediately and works while first
working on the document. After save and reload the condition is gone.

To reproduce:
Define a style "Red" from Default, that has a red font color.
Define a style "Blue" from Default, that has a blue font color.
Start defining a style "ConditionCaller" from Default. Go to tab Condition and
mark "Conditional Style". Apply the style "Red" to the condition "Table Header"
and the style "Blue" to "Table". OK
Insert a table e.g. 2 columns and 4 rows with table header and some dummy text.
Mark the whole table and apply your newly defined style "ConditionCaller".
Notice that the text in the first row of the table becomes red and in the other
cells blue.
Save the document.
Reload.
Notice that the colors are lost.

If you look into the file, you will see, that there are no
elements, which would be needed for a conditional style.

This happens too, if you the set the conditions in the style "Text body".

I have used Version: 5.2.6.2

CPU Threads: 4; OS Version: Windows 6.1; UI Render: default;

No, it's just quicker for testers, if you provide it.

I think it is better to give then instructions how to create such a document if
this is unclear:

1. Create an image with a dimension of 200px x 258px with an image editor of
your choice (in this case I have created it with GIMP and given it a black
background).
2. Open Writer and go to the menu bar -> Insert -> Image... and select and open

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 107651] New: VIEWING: Mouse wheel doesn't scroll one screen

2017-05-05 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=107651

Bug ID: 107651
Summary: VIEWING: Mouse wheel doesn't scroll one screen
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 3.3.0 release
  Hardware: All
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: q...@bk.ru

Description:
VIEWING: Mouse scroll doesn't work in Web mode; and in Normal mode it only
scrolls whole pages, though it should scroll one screen.
This bug existed since my 1st installment of LibreOffice; scroll amount was too
big even in normakl mode. The last version (5.2.6.2) scrolls pages correctly,
but not one screen as it should.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open doc
2. Turn mouse wheel
3.

Actual Results:
No scrolling or incorrect amount of scrolling

Expected Results:
It should scroll one screen vertically

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: It been like this since fresh install. The last version
correctly scrolls one A4 page in Normal mode, but not screen height (as it
should).

Description:
Windows 10 64-bit, LO 5.3.2.2 64-bit
I have LO in German language. But some text in the captions of some base
submenus (e.g. edit a form or table specification) appears in Dutch. This
happens also if I change the GUI to English (same submenus, same wrong
language).
If I uninstall Dutch the wrong forms appear in Italian.
"Repair" of LO does not help.
Restarting LO with an empty profile does not help either.

I remember having had such a problem with a former releas, but I do not
remember how I could solve/bypass it.
LO 5.3.3.2 was installed on a new PC two weeks ago.
The problem does not seem to happen on another PC (same LO, same Windows) where
it has grown from some releases ago.

Actual Results:
Wrong language in caption bar

Expected Results:
Consistent language over all GUI

Reproducible: Always

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 106990] font rendering got worse looking in 5.3.2.2 ( for Default rendering, OpenGL not affected)

2017-05-05 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=106990

(In reply to V Stuart Foote from comment #53)
> For folks not happy with the OpenGL and Default rendering of Seoge UI [...]
Sorry, but noone has complained about the rendering of only one font. Instead,
my experience was (and still is):

(1.) For all versions up to (and including) 5.3.1, ANY AND ALL font rendering
(both UI and in-document) was
(a) sharp and clear when OpenGL was turned off, and
(b) ugly and blurry when OpenGL was turned on.

(2.) Since 5.3.2, ANY AND ALL font rendering (both UI and in-document) has
become ugly and blurry regardless of OpenGL being on or off.

This experience is NOT dependent on one or more specific fonts, and it doesn't
change with hardware acceleration enabled or disabled. Several comments have
already pointed out that font substitution (as you proposed) does not improve
anything.

So, whatever changes have been introduced between 5.3.1 and 5.3.2, these didn't
improve the ugly and blurry OpenGL font rendering (which was already broken
before), but instead substantially degraded non-OpenGL font rendering. In
effect, this leaves no more option to get sharp and clear fonts by turning
OpenGL off. So I'd strongly suggest to:

- As first aid, restore non-OpenGL font rendering as it was in 5.3.1 in order
to quickly make LO at least usable again.

- In the long run, improve OpenGL rendering so that it becomes similarly clear
and sharp as non-OpenGL before 5.3.2.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 107649] New: Provide an advanced configuration option to always try system credentials first for all network resources

2017-05-05 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=107649

Bug ID: 107649
Summary: Provide an advanced configuration option to always try
system credentials first for all network resources
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: unspecified
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: enhancement
  Priority: medium
 Component: LibreOffice
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: mikekagan...@hotmail.com

Opening a remote resource (e.g., using WebDAV) requires providing
authentication parameters (user name and password). For resources supporting
single sign-on protocols supported by LO, user may also use "system
credentials" using respective checkbox in auth dialog. If user also checks
"Remember password", then the URI is stored in the
org.openoffice.Office.Common::Passwords::AuthenticateUsingSystemCredentials
string list, and after that, connections to that URI are always made using
system credentials first.

The proposal is to have additional advanced configuration option that would
automatically try system credentials before showing the auth dialog to the
user, for all URIs, even absent from AuthenticateUsingSystemCredentials, to
avoid extraneous UI e.g. in corporate environments.

This is already easily possible.

1. right click on cell
2. format cell
3. Numbers tab;
4. User-defined category

Then with format code:
mmm yy = "Apr 17"
 yy = "April 17"
mmm  = "Apr 2017"
  = "April 2017"

Closing as WFM.

Guessed examples

I suppose this issue is talking about adjustment of the distance between "Ruby
text" and "Base text".

Attached some example files.

See "Bug 107185 JO3EMC 1H".(either PNG or ODT)
Ruby text "いろは" binded to Base text "まみむめも".
But on the display, "いろは" positioned to almost same distance between "まみむめも"
and "かきくけこ" in the above line.
It is difficult to recognize which is the Base text of "いろは", from appearance.
So, we want to position "いろは" more closer to "まみむめも".
It is so desirable that the distance between "Ruby text" and "Base text" is
manually user adjustable.

Enhancement request, I think.
But I'd like to set the status to "New", cause reproduced.

Of course, not only horizontal text direction, but also vertical.
See "Bug 107185 JO3EMC 1V".
We get the same resul.
whoops...base line of the "Base text" was disturbed...
This issue shold be another report. ;-)

And yet this is a standard shortcut in Windows and MS Word, as was also in all
versions of OpenOffice.org and LibreOffice and their derivatives since 2002,
and no one ever complained. Moreover when this was totally broken in 5.1, we
actually got a bug report about this - see Bug 96739. So saying that "nobody
wants" it, is not accurate...

I don't think this is a duplicate of that bug. That bug talks about when the
action takes place - when pressing or releasing ctrl-rightshift.
But what if the user presses ctrl-rightshift and changes his mind? What can he
do to avoid this silly paragraph direction change which - let me tell you as a
RTL writer - nobody wants?
I think the creator of this issue has a point - just like people can disable
keyboard shortcuts they don't like, it should be possible to disable this
shortcut as well.

Tone aside; it should be reasonably easy to fix by passing a different
parameter (enabling cleartype) to the DirectWrite renderer - in the case that
we're not using OGL rendering; ClearType for in-document text rendering is
deeply problematic, and is disabled in recent MS Office's as well by default
(FWIW) - but in the GDI fallback case this should be fairly simple.

git grep ANTIALIASED_QUALITY

gives the code-site; I suspect we want that sets the quality member on the
LOGFONT cf.

https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/dd145037(v=vs.85).aspx

we could use CLEARTYPE_QUALITY - but it is unclear to me why the
DEFAULT_QUALITY is not this so ... ;-) worth a try perhaps ?

Ctrl+Shift are modifier keys, and can't be listed as keyboard shortcuts. But I
guess this is about the same problem as in Bug 103158. Ctrl+Shift should change
the paragraph direction when you release the key, not when you press. That way
they won't conflict with other Ctrl+Shift+something shortcuts.

It seems to be a little strange situation for the "Ruby" or "Asian Phonetic
Guide" function in LibreOffice, surely.
It might get worse than previous version.
I also feel some problem on this matter.

But this report is too complex to interpret for me.

First.
This report includes multiple pbobrems, isn't it?
In your expression, "a." and "b.".
It maybe better to split them to different report, I think.
For easier handling.

Second.
"Steps to Reproduce" seems to be lack of explanation.
Now, I can't reproduce your probrem.
"Step" is wanted to be so simple, subdevided.

If you'd like, we may have some communication in Japanese with e-mail etc...

I tried with parallel installation on 2 PC with Ubuntu 16.04 64 bit and default
jre. I was not able to crash any version below 5.0, respectively, no problems
in 4.X branch. Anything starting from 5.0.0.5 crashes from time to time and I
didn't find any logic behind this behavior.
I got feeling that if I'm starting testing with 4.X, then no crush takes place
also with 5.X, but if I'm closing Firefox between tests, then probability of
crash is higher.
I was not able to reproduce crash on Virtualbox Xubuntu 16.10 64 bit and
Libreoffice 5.2.7 installation, but I'm not sure if it is correct to rely on
these results.

These are not workaround for ugly UI rendering.

No changes.

I'll have time after the end of the next week.

Some code pointers for the interested ones until that time, just in case:

Frame dialog designed in: sw/uiconfig/swriter/ui/frmaddpage.ui
Implemented in: sw/source/ui/frmdlg/frmpage.cxx

Description dialog designed in: cui/uiconfig/ui/objecttitledescdialog.ui
Implemented in: cui/source/dialogs/dlgname.cxx

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 107639] User feedback that slide transition doesnt work due to OpenGL version

I thought about that option first, but it would require a bit more work to
create decorator versions of each icon for minimal benefit, and then we'd have
to create it for multiple icon themes.

Version|5.2.6.1 rc |5.4.0.0.alpha1+ Master

I see it every time in my own builds from git.

Just tried with
Version: 5.4.0.0.alpha1
Build ID: 0b9f9bef65bb21ebb6a64aafad448f7f62dc824a
CPU threads: 4; OS: Linux 4.10; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3;
Locale: en-GB (en_GB.utf8); Calc: group

I can't reproduce with an official nightly build from last week.
Version: 5.4.0.0.alpha0+
Build ID: 74ccd02eda2d6325a27266fd935aba29b3d75020
CPU threads: 4; OS: Linux 4.10; UI render: default; VCL: gtk2;
TinderBox: Linux-rpm_deb-x86_64@70-TDF, Branch:master, Time:
2017-04-27_23:51:14
Locale: en-GB (en_GB.utf8); Calc: group

So either very recent regression, or some difference in the builds (gtk2 vs
gtk3?)

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 107646] New: Issue with Libre Office Portable following Creators Update install.

2017-05-05 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=107646

Bug ID: 107646
Summary: Issue with Libre Office Portable following Creators
Update install.
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.2.6.2 release
  Hardware: All
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: LibreOffice
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: kol...@gmail.com

Description:
Following the Microsoft Creators Update installation Libre Office portable
won't open from my standard user account. The process appears in Task Manager
but the program doesn't open. Continued double clicks of the writer.exe or main
.exe results in more (mulitple) processes appearing in Task Manager sometimes
using 99% CPU.

Running it with administrative privileges opens it but with an error saying
that it crashed the last time it was opened. Once the program is closed the
process continues to run (Task Manager) using CPU cycles.

At the time of the Creators Update I was using 5.2.3 Portable. I shift+deleted
Libre Office 5.2.3 and installed 5.2.6 Portable for which the issue persists.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Open writer.exe
2.Process appears in Task Manager but program doesn't open.
3.Run as administrator, program opens, close program - process continues to
run.

Actual Results:
Had to manually close the processes or restart the computer due to process/es
running that couldn't be found.

Expected Results:
Opened as usual.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: Uncertain where user profile resides in the Portable
version but shift+deleted complete Libre Office folder and re-installed with
the same issue.

Additional Info:

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36
(KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/58.0.3029.96 Safari/537.36

Well, this clearly points to my commit -
https://cgit.freedesktop.org/libreoffice/core/commit/?id=447c313586e9b36acff393feae15f5e1b63861ae

But the decision on what to include in the context menu made exclusively by the
design team. In particular see Bug 81132, Bug 86606, and
https://gerrit.libreoffice.org/20446/.

@Joey: Since 5.2 it is possible to customize the context menu. Go to Tools >
Customize..., switch to the Context Menus tab, and select the "Shape Text" menu
from the dropdown. It will allow you to add back all the commands you need.
