Status still "Unconfirmed"

I have noticed that when I reboot my computer, it says stuff like, "Inode
repaired" and then it takes 1 minute and 30 seconds on the black screen b4 it
boots into the Kali Desktop. Is it possible that my harddrive is starting to
degrade? I also installed office. I worked, only problem is when I tried to
use it again, it did execute but I could not type anything into word

Can anyone comment on what is going on here? Thanks

No, the patch is included with the TB42 2017-07-14 02:04:48 build...

Each build is assigned a SHA1 hash value as a label taken from the head of the
git pull used for the build. You'll see the commit for the patch as the third
on the cgit listing, so it is included.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 109130] New: LibreOffice freezes and becomes unusable

2017-07-14 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=109130

Bug ID: 109130
   Summary: LibreOffice freezes and becomes unusable
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.3.4.2 release
  Hardware: x86 (IA32)
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: LibreOffice
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: donaith...@gmail.com

I've had problems with LibreOffice freezing for years, but this is the first
time i've ever been able to consistently reproduce it.

I noticed it was constantly locking up when a new piece of code was running in
the background. After some testing i've narrowed it down to the following
relevant bits:

---
for (int i = 0; i < 1; i++)
{
try
{
string html = "HTML Text"; // html content
WebBrowser wb = new WebBrowser();
wb.Navigate("about:blank");
wb.Document.OpenNew(true);
wb.Document.Write(html);
wb.Document.ExecCommand("SelectAll", false, null);
wb.Document.ExecCommand("Copy", false, null);
System.Threading.Thread.Sleep(100);
wb.Dispose();
}
catch (Exception ex)
{
int j = 0;
}
}   // For Loop
---

This is obviously not production ready code and is intended for demo purposes
only. But approximately three times out of four when I start running this C#
code in Visual Studio 2012 LibreOffice will freeze up after 5-15 seconds. It
will remain frozen until i either terminate the code or it crashes. Most of the
time LibreOffice will then return to normal behaviour after that, but
occasionally it will remain stuck.

I've mostly been testing this in Calc since that's usually what I'm using when
I observe the freezing behaviour, but during testing it also affected Writer.

No other programs seem to have their basic functionality affected when this
code is running. Excel performs normally, Word performs normally, Outlook,
Chrome, Firefox, Notpadd++, everything else performs normally.

However copy/paste is impacted on a global level. (Not entirely unexpected
given the code's use of "copy".) Notepadd++, Word, and Excel all have
intermittent issues with trying to copy/paste text while or immediately after
this code is running. But as long as i don't try to copy/paste anything they
continue working normally. LibreOffice is the only program to become generally
unusable.

Since i frequently observe the "normal" LibreOffice freezing behaviour while
trying to copy/paste cells in Calc i'm really hoping the fundamental underlying
issue is linked, and if you can resolve the issue in this exceptional case it
will fix the other more common case as well.

Do you have OpenGL enabled? If so, that is still open issue of bug 107764 --and
disabling OpenGL should have you functional.

If not on the blacklist, if it stays off/won't enable--IIUC there is a self
test that runs but fails for the GPU/driver combo. One of the devs may ask for
the logs from the cache folder.

You could try an updated driver for the GPU, looks like Lenovo has nVidia
Optimus 382.29 (22.21.13.8229) posted [1]--but the current 377.19 driver for
the M520 nVidia GPU should pass the blacklist criteria [2].

I don't think that is a "proper" solution. Interesting that it works but many
people are very settled in the windows theme they may have. Changing it so
they can have LibreOffice Menu, for me, would not be my approach.

Using a slightly earlier version of LibreOffice did work.

I do have fully updated AMD drivers (HP ZBook)... And yes, we need
LibreOffice Menus too.

@Corey, could you post your GPU details. Should be with your LibreOffice user
profile in C:\\AppData\roaming\LibreOffice\4\cache need the

opengl_device.log

Alternatively, run msinof32.exe and post the top of the summary and the top of
the Components/Display panel.

The missing EMF icon image is a valid rendering issue, the size of the images
is not scaling to fit the table cell of the document and the EMF image not
centered in the cell appearing empty.

It looks equally misscaled on Word 2016, while Word 2007 gets it about right.

@Mike, aside from the proposed RFE here, which I still see as out of scope--any
thoughts on scaling/placement of the EMF image icons? Is that a import filter
issue, an EMF filter issue, or just badly formatted EMF?

Importing PM65 files made on Mac has following issue. You can't find any text
in the document because the font colour is white.

The original document was white background with black font. The imported file
has white font on white background making it easy to miss that there is any
content in the imported document.

LO v5.3.4 Mac 64bit

Sample files have been forwarded to the maintainers.

--- Comment #5 from Eamonn Martyn  ---
The save process is still taking a long time, although I haven't timed it today
it is far from acceptable. I haven't had time to work on the document all
week, but there is a slight difference in the characteristics of the save. A
week ago the progress bar used to go to say 10% and then stop for ages, today
it went to say 95% and then stopped. I don't know whether this is significant.
 Before the problem occurred it would take less than a minute to save this
document.
To connect the two files you have to run a macro called "Change DDE pointer" in
the text document and insert the full address and file name of the spreadsheet.
The files that I am using are fully populated with data from the spreadsheet
and there are network diagrams inserted into the text document. However, the
ones that I have uploaded are empty of this data because the data and diagrams
are confidential to my clients.

Importing a letter size PM6.5 Mac document generates incorrect page size.

A letter size document imports always as landscape instead of portrait.

For some reason the page size ends up being 215.6 cm by 21.56 cm instead of 8.5
in x 11in.

Sorry, but this is bullshit! I use multiline cells quite often, and I am sure I
am not the only one.

Anyways: LibreOffice Calc offers this feature (and other table calculations do
as well), and the default spacing in previous versions was ok. With version
5.3.4.2, the default spacing has been reduced to an unreasonable value and can
not be changed by the user. It should be reset to the previous value.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 108991] Bad allocation or crash on cut text in ODT ( with Non-Printing Characters hidden)

2017-07-14 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=108991

--- Comment #13 from Xisco Faulí  ---
In my case, I can only reproduce the crash when LibreOffice is not maximized,
otherwise it's not reproduced.
@Timur: Can you reproduce it when LibreOffice is maximized?

Confirmed using same daily build / Windows 7.
Still working fine with a master build from 07-07 (
3329d2205ed3246c56da1bd859acaaf590dd6e71). => regression

It didn't occur with a Linux daily build from last night, so it seems to be a
Windows-only bug.

I think it might be fixed in master. Could you please try to reproduce it with
a master build from http://dev-builds.libreoffice.org/daily/master/ ?
You can install it alongside the standard version.
I have set the bug's status to 'NEEDINFO'. Please change it back to
'UNCONFIRMED' if the bug is still present in the master build

I was waiting for a comment on the implemented feature, as it has a different

implementation and realization.

Since there were no comments since quite some time, I close it as fixed.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 109124] New: Change fields in Address Data/ Book Source to be the same as in Mail Merge Wizard

2017-07-14 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=109124

Bug ID: 109124
   Summary: Change fields in Address Data/Book Source to be the
same as in Mail Merge Wizard
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.0.0.5 release
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: trivial
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: gti...@gmail.com

Created attachment 134632
  --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=134632&action=edit
Compare fields in Address Data/Book Source and Mail Merge Wizard

Fields are not the same in File - Wizards - Address Data Source, Tools -
Address Book Source and on the other side Tools - Mail Merge Wizard.
Fields should be unified, and missing fields added to both Address Data/Book
Source. Those are: E-mail, Gender, Title, Telephone business.
Interesting there's no Fax on neither but it's still in use, so recommended.

This is somewhat a regression because OO had a large list of fields in Address
Data and it's reduced, too much in my opinion, while not unifying with Mail
Merge Wizard.
I can't see a reason why this wouldn't be the same. If there is, please write.

So, bibisectRequest here would be helpful to find the last Address Data fields
change. Looks like it was in 5.0.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 109123] New: UI is locked after formula/chart insert

2017-07-14 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=109123

Bug ID: 109123
   Summary: UI is locked after formula/chart insert
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.0.0.0.alpha0+ Master
  Hardware: All
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: szymon.k...@collabora.com

Steps to reproduce:

1. Open new document in the Writer
2. Insert -> Chart   orInsert -> Object -> Formula

What happens:
UI is locked (but not greyed out), no respond from buttons etc.
I also noticed that when I clicked using right mouse button on the LO icon on
the task bar and selected "close window", dialog asking for save appeared but
also was locked.

I think LO is not hanging but stopped to respond on user input.
