Oh yeah. I think transfering some codes between Writer and Impress would be
good idea.

I'm sorry. But i open this file in Wicrosoft office and wps office to.but Libre
office can't open this file.
Why? The main reason is the how Libre office parse xml. In xml <,> is a special
characters and libre office parse whis file how simple xml.
I think that support libreoffice such files will not be bad overall for the
product

It might well be fixed, but without an identifiable commit our triaging rules
don't allow us to set it to fixed, just WFM. The aim of that rule is to be able
to trace back a commit in the event that something it was supposed to fix
breaks something somewhere else so we can decide whether or not the fixing
commit is to be reverted or replaced with another fix ;-)

You can enter a formula expression when clicking that button as it does nothing

2017-07-25 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=109341

Bug ID: 109341
Summary: PathSettings do not provide correct Path
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.4.0.3 rc
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: BASIC
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: t...@mic-consulting.de

Description:
When I use the service "com.sun.star.util.PathSettings" or the singleton
"thePathSettings", the delivered path for all internal LO pathes are in a very
strange format and not direct usable.

For example:
"module" delivers the following path:
"file:///C:/Program%20Files/LibreOffice%205/program/../program"

Steps to Reproduce:
1. create a basic code :

Sub Main
  oPath = createUnoService("com.sun.star.util.PathSettings")

  msgbox oPath.module
End Sub

or use singleton:

Sub Main
  oPath =
getDefaultContext.getValueByName("/singletons/com.sun.star.util.thePathSettings")

  msgbox oPath.module
End Sub

2. run the Macro
3.

Actual Results:
see pic1 (path2.png)

Expected Results:
as in former times... I expected an usable path-string.

for example: OpenOffice still delivers the correct path (see pic2 path.png)

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
I checked this behavior even with the 5.3.x line of LO, same strange result.

No difference between Linux or Windows versions.

Seems to me, that there is a problem of resolving internal of the returned
string.

I can read the string... means file:///../progam -> go back one folder (..)
-> add folder /

But I need the correct pathname as for example will delivered by "work" or
"temp".

Thanks for the information.

My programming skills are sadly limited these days so I fear I can't help with
development. I lost track sometime around 1985, and just tinker with bits of
VB (for LO), and occasional other languages when I really have to (looking
everything up on t'web).

BTW this change of status is a definite 'fix' - robert confirmed it was
misbehaving previously and I retried it only days ago on 5.3.5.1 before
developing my now unnecessary workaround :-)

> == Suggestion: ==

> Would you be ok with this solution?

Yes it would be reasonable to change double click action the open "old" Input
Fields dialog (rather than the Edit Fields dialog).

But the "old" dialog (currently reached with F9_SHIFT_MOD1) needs refactoring
that would make it suitable to task:

1.) "old" dialog's default is to now position at the start (the first
text:text-input field) in the document. Instead the dialog should open
positioned to the field with cursor focus and the double-click originates.

2.) the "old" dialog needs a Previous button action to complement the Next
button. In other words logic to allow movement in both directions through
fields of the form--currently it is one way sequential from start of form.

Are there any UI debu logs we can check? Maybe logs that say "we got this
event, mouse moved from here to here, we got a click on this location which
translates to this widget". We may need to discriminate if it is GTK3 or
LibreOffice that is misbehaving.

Yeah, this whole docking window problem can't be done directly with gtk3 under
wayland so I ended up disabling the whole floating docking windows when under
wayland with

Snaps don't provide the mysql-connector to my knowledge (in fact, they only
seem to provide the basic office suite without any extras, and jailed to boot).

You might be luckier with PPAs, but they definitely have a certain
je-ne-sais-quoi-c'est-du-n'importe-quoi, oh, whoops, did I let that huge

I am not a bug fixer, merely a bug report triager volunteer.
The bug is confirmed.

Whether or not it gets fixed for 5.4 lies in someone else's hands, probably
either the localisation team for Slovenian if the langpack is at fault, or the
package builder if the langpack is missing some kind of required information to
make it work.

Adding cloph to cc : any ideas what might be wrong here ?

Thank you for your feedback Tim.
Let's put this one to WFM.

About resolution of bugs, there are different priorities and even in devs, some
contribute with their spare time.
Now I must recognize that Base seems a module for which I know only 1 expert
dev only.

By any chance, can you program? If yes and if you have some time, you may
contribute in dev (see

(as an additional 'opt' installation on ubuntu). This problem has definitely
been fixed. As I said earlier I knew that as soon as I got around to putting
the work in to circumvent it the problem would be fixed!

I hope this pre-release becomes available soon on ubuntu as a snap or ppa,
along with the associated mysql connector (or is there one somewhere in the

Version 5.3.4 No Text Visible, but 5.2.7 Works

I returned my Toshiba A505 laptop to factory setting and installed LO 5.3.4,
but no text appeared for the menus or filenames. LO was then removed and
reinstalled, no luck. Next the renaming user folder etc was tried, again didn't
work. Finally I removed LO and installed version 5.2.7 from another computer,
and everything works perfectly.

Let's increase the importance since:
- it's a crash

- it happens on several platforms

--- Comment #11 from Samuel Mehrbrodt (CIB) ---
(In reply to V Stuart Foote from comment #10)
> While the old dialog probably needed to go, the "Edit Fields" dialog needs
> rework to supplement the in-place field editing.

I think the old dialog still has its value as you can simply enter the values
without all the clutter the "Edit fields" dialog has.

The old dialog is still there and appears at startup when opening a document
which has fields, e.g. the attachment on this bug.
It can also be accessed via Ctrl-Shift-F9.

I think entering values in a field is used much more often than editing a
field, so maybe changing the double click action to open the old dialog makes
sense. And by now it should be clear that in-field editing is not the best
option for many use cases.

== Suggestion: ==
As you can reach the "Edit Field" dialog via the context menu, we should change
the double click action to open the "old" dialog instead.

Would you be ok with this solution?

Not only that, as you can see in the screenshot, preceding the spelled-out

Yes, the problem is that
 SUM( "int" ) = 44
ends up in m_aFilter, but should go into m_aHavingClause. If you find the bit
of code that puts it in m_aFilter, it is a great start to fixing it.

Remains NEEDINFO to OP.

(In reply to tjdurso from comment #5)
> Got error: error 1335 libreoffice 1.cab when upgrading from file:
> ...

Unclear what you've done. So at this point for your case, I would uninstall all
vestiges of LibreOffice including your user profile in "%APPDATA%\LibreOffice".

And then clean the Windows registry--including HKCU - "SOFTWARE\The Document
Foundation", and HKLM - "SOFTWARE\The Document Foundation",
"SOFTWARE\LibreOffice" but also for same in "SOFTWARE\WOW6432node".

Download a new copy of either 64-bit or 32-bit build (either will run on
Windows 7 SP1 64-bit) directly from the project archive here
http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/5.3.4.2/win/

Do not store on a network resource, instead save onto a local HDD/SSD. Then
verify the HASH value of your download against the package "details" link
provided with the archive. Only then proceed to install.

If with those installation steps (to avoid mixing prior 32-bit and a new 64-bit
install) it should resolve things for you--post back if it does not.

Otherwise the NEEDINFO and this issue remains open for OP.

Indeed if I create a list for each case type, it works great.
So we should pre-register all case type.

Do you know where is the predefined list in the code, like that I can add it.

2017-07-25 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=109335

Sorry, I should have mentioned.
This performance degradation happens since version 5.0.3.2 and 5.0.5.1.
I get the same result on 5.3.4.2.

Please can you test with a newer version.

5.0 it's a bit outdated, a lot of work has been done since then.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 109335] New: OpenCL performance degradation

2017-07-25 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=109335

Bug ID: 109335
   Summary: OpenCL performance degradation
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.0.3.2 release
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Calc
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: lagona...@gmail.com

Description:
On my nVidia GTX 750 Ti OpenCL performance degrades a lot after upgrading from
5.0.3.1 to 5.0.3.2 on the "Ground water" test document, from 440 ms to 28000
ms.

There is a similar performance degradation between 5.0.4.2 and 5.0.5.1 on the
"Dates worked" test document, from 100 ms to 2300 ms.

"Stock history" document did not suffer performance degradation on newer
versions.

I am using Calc with the default option, but in Brazilian Portuguese and with
the OpenCL "subset" option set to false, as for some reason OpenCL never works
when set to true (maybe locale bug?).

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install LibreOffice
2. Enable OpenCL
2. Disable OpenCL subset of operations
3. Run "Dates worked.xlsm" or "Ground water daily.xls"

Actual Results:
(After 5.0.5.1)
- Dates worked: 2291 ms to complete
- Ground water: 28000 ms to complete

Expected Results:
- Dates worked: 100 ms to complete
- Ground water: 440 ms to complete

Reproducible: Always

Xisco, Julien, I don't understand why you didn't close this one.
If file is incorrect, then it's OK for LO to say "Error." There's no crash.
If I'm wrong, feel free to comment and set back to Unconfirmed.
