Sorry but it only indicate debug when app crash (this is not the case).
I found no information related to backtrace for MacOS...

> Eisele's comment:

OK thanks.
No i do not used any accessibility features and no addon software.
I reproduce this "slow" bug with MacOS X 10.12.6 on a brand new MacMini at work
(brand new, no previous MacOS and no previous LibreOffice, just a complete
fresh install).

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 111817] Sentence case converts all letters except the first to lowercase

2017-08-15 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=111817

If I may add this comment please, related to David's concern about an all caps
paragraph: As long as the Sentence case worked like I propose (Word 2016), an
ALL CAPS paragraph could be converted to Sentence case in the following steps,

(1) Select all paragraph,
(2) Format > Text > lowercase,
(3) (while paragraph that is now all lowercase is still selected) Format > Text
> Sentence case.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 111840] New: Show ‘Form Control ?=>=?UTF-8?Q?’ as the last item in the Insert menus

2017-08-15 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=111840

Bug ID: 111840
Summary: Show ‘Form Control >’ as the last item in the Insert
menus
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.4.0.3 release
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Base
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: ovari...@zoho.com

Description:
1. Open or create a LibreOffice Base Database
2. Menu Bar → Insert → Form…
3. Show last item of Insert menu “Form Control >” at:
Form Menu Bar → Insert → Form Control >

Likewise for:
1. Open or create a LibreOffice Base Database
2. Menu Bar → Insert → Report…
4. Show last item of Insert menu “Form Control >” at:
Form Menu Bar → Insert → Form Control >

This would provide consistency across LibreOffice as Writer, Calc, Impress have
“Form Control >” as the last item in the Insert menu list.

Thank you

Actual Results:
"Form Control >" not shown as last item in Insert menu

Expected Results:
"Form Control >" shown as last item in Insert menu

  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium

The attached presentation contains a single shape with a shadow and a glow
effect set.
Save it as a new PPTX in Impress. (note that the glow effect is not shown,
possibly unsupported?) The resulting file opens with an error in PowerPoint.

The issue seems to be that there are multiple elements after the
same, they aren't grouped like in the original file. Possibly a grab-bag
handling issue? (wild guess)

Observed using LO 6.0 daily build (2017-08-15_01:59:49,
bebaac5eb6ebd2db3e1ea22b1630111343a9c25c) / Windows 7.
Works fine in 5.4.0.3.
=> regression

The button on sidebar has a text "Master Slide" and when clicking on it the

Everybody decries how we’ve removed an old icon theme but it’s only talk, talk,
talk… If those efforts were instead towards contributing the actual work, this
would be a different story. That icon theme wasn’t maintained neither here nor
at upstream KDE, and it was bitrotting, so we’ve dropped it after several
discussions.

I’m unsatisfied with the tone of the discussion, and have flagged some comments
as abusive. Keep it civil, people! And above all, keep in mind that LibreOffice
is built by volunteers, especially in the UI department. It’s no secret we
haven’t any paid graphic designer in the staff. We would welcome help in this
(and every) area, and I’m always happy to review icon submissions to the Git
repo, even if I’m not always responsive.

No this bug was fixed-- comment 57 comment 80 and pushed to 5.4.0.3
builds--supporting the vast majority of Windows OS user configurations.

And for folks in the corner case stuck with crappy Windows 10 AMD drivers on
laptop hardware, identifying a functional driver combo is up to you.

Post up your dxdiag.exe results (system & display), we'll have a record at
least.

  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal

 Component: Draw
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: ovari...@zoho.com

Description:
1. In Draw, always show “Record Macro’ in:
Menu Bar → Tools → Macros → Record Macro

2. Currently ‘Record Macro’ does not even show if ‘Enable macro recording (may
be limited)’ is selected at:
Menu Bar → Tools → Options… → LibreOffice → Advanced → ‘Enable macro recording
(may be limited)’

3. This would provide consistency across LibreOffice as Base always shows
‘Record Macro’ in:
Menu Bar → Tools → Macros → Record Macro

Thank you

‘Record Macro’ never shows.

Expected Results:
Always have ‘Record Macro’ available in the Draw menu to provide consistency
with LibreOffice as Base

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 111817] Sentence case converts all letters except the first to lowercase

2017-08-15 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=111817

I respectfully disagree with David.

If the Sentence case forces all characters but the first into lowercase, it
messes up any characters that appear in capital intentionally, such as USA,
John. This would be a major mess-up, requiring a lot of work on behalf of the
user afterwards (as in the example I provided above).

Such a unusual Sentence case function would certainly be useless to authors of
research papers, technical reports etc.

In my opinion, a paragraph in all caps should be edited to lowercase with

Format > Text > lowercase OR Cycle Case

with one step of additional editing of the first word, is Sentence case is
needed.

Again, this is why Microsoft Word works like this.

BTW. My HP laptop with AMD APU (A8-7410 + Radeon R5) has not separate different

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 111826] New: Issues with sidebar's Master Slide / Close Master Slide button in handout view

2017-08-15 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=111826

Bug ID: 111826
Summary: Issues with sidebar's Master Slide / Close Master
Slide button in handout view
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.0.0.0.alpha0+ Master
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Impress
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: zolnaitamas2...@gmail.com

Description:
Handout view is a special view in Impress which has only a master slide mode.
Sidebar has an issue when swicthing to this handout view. Sometimes the button
is not displayed at all, sometimes it is displayed as Master Slide (which is an
error since we already on a master slide) and sometimes it's displayed as Close
Master Slide button (which might be OK), but if you click on it nothing
happens, since there is no "normal view" for handouts.

I suggest to remove that button when we are in handout mode. I guess something
was done to do that, that's why sometimes the button is not displayed, but the
code does not work correctly it seems.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open Impress
2. Switch from normal slide view to handout view (button is displayed as Master
Slide)
3. Switch from master slide view to handout view (button is displayed as Close
Master Slide)
4. Switch from outliner view to handout view (button is not displayed at all)

Actual Results:
Master Slide \ Close Master Slide button displayed inconsistently.

Expected Results:
This button is useless in handout mode, so would be good to remove.

Reproducible: Always

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 92190] PRINTs landscape despite configured as portrait (Mac OS)

2017-08-15 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=92190

I can confirm that the problem exists in LO 5.4.0.3 on OSX 10.10.5 too.

Workarounds:
1) You can export to PDF. This will produce a PDF in portrait that can be
printed correctly.

or

2) You can change the dimensions in the portrait page in the
Format:Page:Page:Paper Format. I use 8.49" x 10.99" and the print job stays
portrait.

Note to the bug hunters. This problem exists (existed) on the Windows platform
a while back. There is another bug listed for windows.

Please fix as this is frustrating and increasing time in my workflows.

Thanks in advance.

Open attached document in LibreOffice and examine the chart. It has the labels
">24°" and "<10°" on the "deep" (=z) axis.

Export the file to xlsx, try both OOXML and MS format.

Open the file in Excel. I have tried Excel 2010 here.

Notice that the "deep" axis has wrong labels.
Go to the "Axis" tool in Excel. Notice, that there are only two axes, the
"deep" axis is missing. Only if you apply the Charttyp "3D column chart, deep"
in Excel again, you get back the third axis.

3 tests Form Control linked with A1 A2 & A3

When opening an .ods containing Control Form stuff (Spin buttons and
checkboxes, not sure about the others) the "Linked Cell" is not read and is
shown empty. And the spin is therefore not changing the value in the cell.

Please note that the value is saved properly but diseapear apon opening the
file.

Faulty version = Libreoffice 5.4.x (tested multiple versions of 5.4, on windows
10)
(it worked with 5.3.x)

When opening .xlsx it works as expected though.

The attached file was saved with 5.4.3
=> it is read properly and works with 5.3.5
=> the "Linked cell value" diseapear when read with 5.4.x

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 111816] Cannot find special character if does not know character name but number

2017-08-15 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=111816

(In reply to V Stuart Foote from comment #5)
> Please give some thought...

No need to argue, I have no data. You say people remember the unicode id, like
it was back in DOS times with ASCII 132 for ä, rather than searching by the
name 'umlaut' or the correct term 'DIAERESIS'.
And I'm not saying it never happens. If I'd use unicode 0x228 for the ä, and
wheel through the fonts it should work like with a search term, which is the
fact until I reach OpenSymbol. Scrolling now through this font, changes the
unicode as expected.
Turning the use case around, Regina's workflow, the font for a char that is not
commonly integrated could be found. That means, when the font doesn't contain
of this item nothing is selected in the chars table. But the unicode fields
have a value. Today the table corresponds to the id field.
To me the benefits of this workflow don't outweigh the drawback of
inconsistency.

The TOC dialog allows to set the index read only - or not.
When it's not, direct formatting, or applying character styles, is easily done.
And some TOC designs ask for it. And that of course would be easiest if direct
formatting/character styles in headings are retained.
Prolly not an easy hack, but .. ;)

Comment to patch 12 at https://gerrit.libreoffice.org/#/c/40563/ ('happens' ->
'happened')

Shapecatcher returns a huge label with the name (where we do offer a
outstanding feature) and a tiny unicode value. Only super nerds care about the
unicode id primarily.

On pc Debian x86-64 with master sources updated today, I could reproduce this.

To reproduce this, I had to check first "Regular expressions" in "Other
options" from "Find and Replace".
Then, I closed this window and tried Ctrl-F (so no specific window, just the
cursor which goes on box to type the expression to search), then typed
something and had an assert when typing Enter.

Out of curiosity: where can I read something about this 'new type of hardware'.
I probably missed something..

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 111816] Cannot find special character if does not know character name but number

2017-08-15 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=111816

Very unlikely that you know the hex/decimal value but not within what font you
find the character. I'd say WF because search is not the same as quick access,
i.e. hex/decimal values.

However, the same happens when search is active and I suggested to disable the
value fields in this case.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 111811] The ImplementationName " com.sun.star.comp.math.FormulaDocument was changed to upper case "M" in " .Math." New incompatibilities!

2017-08-15 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=111811

Macros checking for the specific ImplementationName of a
com.sun.star.comp.FormulaDocument object may not be widespread at all. For me
(using Division's Star- Sun's Star- org's Open- Apache's Open- and Libre-
Office for decades now) it was the first time I accessed it. And for the two
years the change is "living" now no bug report about it was filed seemingly. I
did. Not because I insist on action, but because I want the devs to know.

Ok. I can work around. But there may even be more OO.o and AOO users who
actally did some document automation than LibO users did. They will be angry
with LibO once more if they try and fail.

AND

The .supportsService() method (which I mostly prefer for case checks) also is
case sensitive. A workaround here, one there...

I would like to hear that developers will be aware of the fact that any tiny
change in the field can afflict code. If a piece of code like mine ceases
working, well... (see above), but if a valuable and widespread extension
fails...

Many developers of older well proven extensions, I'm afraid, no longer maintain
their free products...

Weapons for those not exactly benevolent concerning free software. Do you
follow the Limux case?

Free software will never be fully compatible. The commercial competitors have
the power to make this impossible.

Free siftware must be better. Long-term stability is essential.
