[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 101236] Frame style not keeping text centered
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=101236 David changed: What|Removed |Added Keywords||regression --- Comment #6 from David --- Version 4.0.0 does not have the setting in the Styles & Formatting dialog for centering text within frames. By version 4.4.7 it was added. I did not try the versions in between to determine when it was added. But in versions 4.4.7 and 5.0.0 the option was available and when a document was opened they both restored it properly with the text centered, just as it had been saved. Then sometime between version 5.0.0 and version 5.1.0 it lost the ability to recognize that the document had been saved with the text centered in the properties under the Styles and formatting frame settings. It still has not been corrected as of version 5.4.0 and can only keep the text centered if the setting has been manually enabled directly in the properties for each individual frame, not from the Styles & Formatting properties. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 112297] New: the contents of the cells are deleted when you reopen an xlsx file
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=112297 Bug ID: 112297 Summary: the contents of the cells are deleted when you reopen an xlsx file Product: LibreOffice Version: 3.3.1 release Hardware: All OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Calc Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: h...@elestudiodeprado.com Description: Hello: Two things happen to us: 1. On several occasions, in some .xlsx documents, when we open one of them, several cells appear with the contents deleted and the format changed throughout the sheet. 2. We have documents in Google Drive shared with other user (collaborator). We always create spreadsheets in .xlsx format. On several occasions, when one of the users opens one of the xlsx files with the Excel program (Office 2010 version) because he does not use Openoffice, this message appears: "the name can not be the same as the name of the integrated document "(in Spanish," el nombre no puede ser el mismo que el del documento integrado"). Then, it only opens if some characters are typed in the window (it does not matter which characters). You have to write them several times and they must always be different. "_0" "_FilterDatabase_0" starts to appear. Sometimes you have to type different names many times and ask to come to form this "_FilterDatabase_0_0_0_0_0_0_0_0_0_0". When the file is finally opened, the format of the cells is different from the one you had when last saved. We do not know if fello 1 occurs due to failure 2. Thank you Actual Results: . I can avoid a crash by copying 100,000 rows at a time. I note there is a difference in memory allocation if I enter =rand() in A1..F1 and then copy those cells to all other rows (under 1.4GB), compared with creating a complete column A and then copying the column to columns B-F. The full text search function in LibreOffice Help allows you to find Help documents that contain any combination of search terms.) I still am very confusing searching for the convert function. Look at the attached odt: going to the the help welcome page and searching for "convert" (only as an example) I get many oddities in various languages but nothing about that function. To find something usefull I have to click on "List of Functions by Category", then on "Calculation", then on "Mathematical" and finally ... the "CONVERT" appears, but still nothing about what expected: there it is said "Converts a value from one unit of measurement to another unit of measurement. The conversion factors are given in a list in the configuration. At one time the list of conversion factors included the legacy European currencies and the Euro (see examples below). We suggest using the new function EUROCONVERT for converting these currencies." and the examples are =CONVERT(100;"ATS";"EUR") returns the Euro value of 100 Austrian Schillings. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 108638] FORMATTING Text size is not scaled correctly according to the zoom factor

Result: - I have never seen, that the text doesn't fit to the scaled cell size (no red arrow appeared). - At the most zoom factors text was wrapped as with zoom factor 100, but the spaces between text end and right borders were different. - At some zoom factors (e.g. 75, 60, 50, 40) the text was wrapped on other places. In a second test I have modified the test sheet: When it was zoomed by 400% I have decreased the cell width so that the place where text is wrapped kept unchanged, and saved the sheet as "Test_Text_Width_V2a (cell width smaller).ods" - in the attached zip file. When this sheet is zoomed in or out, also with zoom factors from 159 and 169 the text is wrapped on other places - see screenshots in the zip file! I have also tested with modified version of "Test_Text_Width_V2.ods", where text was corrected ("demonstrate" instead "demonstate"), results were similar. The behavior is very much better as in actual version 5.4.1, but still not perfect. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 112265] Certain fonts in a frame graphic do not have the correct position.
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=112265 --- Comment #12 from dynapb --- Hi Jacques, I am not sure what you mean by "Without original document, I only can show how to change the characters position". Getting the font position right is what I am trying to do and the problem shows up the same in the attached doc as the original doc. The problem seems to be that the "Text Attributes" has been added since v4.1.4 and the defaults for that were not set to make the text look the same as in v4.1.4 (I upgraded from 4.1.4 to 5.4.1). For the second problem you say "second placement problem can be modified the same way with spacing with content", what is the "spacing with content" mean, I do not see a setting like that, can you let me know? To me this seems to a similar problem as the first but doing the same thing (changing the Text Anchor) does not fix the problem of the text being higher in the text area (highlighted area in FPP2.png vs FPOK2.png) than it was in v4.1.4. https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=111338 --- Comment #4 from Telesto --- About the expected results, because it has a purpose seen in the light of comment 3: Probably a (changeable) interval based save. 1. It will end op writing around 400kb every time when touching the highlight or color button (for example; there are more cases) 2. https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=111993 Mike Kaganski changed: What|Removed |Added Status|NEW |RESOLVED Resolution|--- |NOTABUG --- Comment #2 from Mike Kaganski --- Well, on the second thought, it might not be a bug. This only happens if the files don't have default applications assigned. LibreOffice doesn't actually assign itself as default application, it registers itself as an application *able* to open these files. E.g., it writes itself to the HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\<.EXT>\OpenWithProgIDs, and to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\RegisteredApplications, which points to Capabilities. It appears that Windows itself selects the only available application able to handle the file extension as its assigned handler. This may be seen with .docx, which has default handler out of the box (to WORDPAD). Installation of LibreOffice does not change this, it only adds a new item to Open With context menu. Since it's an OS feature, not something that LO installer does wrong, I suppose it may be closed NOTABUG. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
