Except the bt with gdb session I attached, I don't know how to see this :-(
However, if you want me to test a patch or do a specific test, don't hesitate

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 115538] New: GnuPG / PGP keys not found on Mac unless from command line

2018-02-07 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=115538

Bug ID: 115538
Summary: GnuPG / PGP keys not found on Mac unless from command
line
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.0.0.3 release
  Hardware: All
OS: Mac OS X (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: LibreOffice
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: flo...@documentfoundation.org

Description:
Running LibreOffice 6.0 on mac OS 10.13 with GPGTools 2017.3.

No PGP keys/signatures are found when LibreOffice is started from Spotlight or
directly via double click on ODF file.

This is both visible in the settings when no predefined PGP key can be chosen,
and in the signature dialog, when no PGP is offered.

Regular X.509 certificates work (from within Thunderbird's profile).

Verifying existing signatures yields to an error message with "broken/unknown
signature".

Starting LibreOffice via "open /Applications/LibreOffice.app", or "open
file.odt" or "/Applications/LibreOffice.app/Contents/MacOS/soffice" does find
the key.

I assume it has something to do with the path to GPGTools, but no idea how to
chase this. Both PATH and /etc/paths.d seem to contain the right path.

I can confirm above behaviour on two different machines.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open LibreOffice
2. Go to Settings, Encryption

Actual Results:
PGP keys shown as option for default keys

Expected Results:
No PGP keys available

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: Yes

   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.1.0.0.alpha0+ Master
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal

 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: rayk...@gmail.com

Here are the steps to repro:

1) open a new writer document
2) insert a table (Menu > Table > Insert Table or Ctrl-F12)
Insert Table Dialog opens
3) click on AutoFormat button
AutoFormat Dialog opens
4) click on Box List Blue
5) uncheck Borders checkbox
6) click on OK
7) click on Insert
Table with Box List Blue style is inserted in document
8) open the Sidebar Styles Deck
9) click on the Table Styles icon (6th icon left to right above the content
list)
10) double click on Box List Green
Table changes style to Box List Green
11) double click on Box List Blue

Well: a duplicate is a measure of a bug's impact on users. Many duplicates (as
well as long CC list) mean many users are affected.

In this case, the user who had filed the first issue decided to repeat it here.
This is not a duplicate; this is INVALID.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 101162] Performance issues with VCL OpenGL backend (linux, mesa-12.0.1, intel)

2018-02-07 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=101162

Hi Tomaz,

> Linux OpenGL backend doesn't have glyph caching so it is currently slow and
> implementing
> that is not that trivial (mainly rendering glyph to texture with FT is
> missing) but not too hard either,
> I just don't have the time to implement that.

Thanks for your answer, this also explains why I see most time spent
in various types of memcpy when working with spreadsheets containing a
lot of text. When I tried to run earlier versions of the OpenGL backend on my
Intel-HD (OpenGL-2.1) I also saw a lot of shader recalculations and
other performance problems reported by the intel driver (with
INTEL_DEBUG=perf).

This makes me wonder ... would it make sense to apply for
Google-Summer-of-Code with the intention of bringing the OpenGL
backend on Linux to a production-ready state (so that it can be
enabled on linux by default), by:
* Implement the missing glyph-cache
  - including subpixel antialiasing (requires GL_NV_texture_barrier or
readback for proper blending)
* Test and tune for various driver/hw combinations out there (r600,
radeonsi, nouveau, nvidia proprietary, i965) and
   - resolve bottlenecks (shader recompilations, other expensive state changes,
texture upload)
   - extend the white/black lists
   - profile typical API interations between LibreOffice and VCL and
tune the backend so that common cases hit driver fast paths.
   - extend the use of shaders where approriate

LibreOffice always had a rather sluggsih UI on Linux especially when
working with documents that contain images, so it would be great if
that could be finally solved.
I know layering a typical immediate-drawing-API on top of OpenGL won't
magically make everything super-fast, but I hope it will improve the
average feel and responsiveness.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 115536] New: Calc - Input line - Drag'n'drop doesn' t work leftwise since LO6

2018-02-07 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=115536

Bug ID: 115536
Summary: Calc - Input line - Drag'n'drop doesn't work leftwise
since LO6
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.0.0.3 release
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Calc
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: bugzilla@mkr.email

Description:
I’m new to Calc, but maybe I found an issue. It’s about the drag n drop in the
input line. If you drag a number or word to the left, it gets always get
duplicated, too. Calc shifts the word or number to the right, that needs to be
shifted, but keeps the dragged number/word also in its old place!

If you drag a word or number to the right, this issue is not present.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Start Calc.
2. Click on the input line.
3. Enter “1 2” (without quotation marks)
4. Doubleclick on “2” to select it
5. Drag that number to the left of “1” (I mean to the beginning of the
input line).
-> You get “212“ instead of ” 21”
-> “2” stands at the beginning of the input line, but the number also stays
at the old position. Calc overwrites the last four 1s with 2s.

6. Now enter “1 2” again.
7. Doubleclick on “1”.
8. Drag it to the right position of “2” (the end of the input line).
-> You get “ 21“ (with a blank space at the beginning). That is
correct.

Actual Results:
see above

Expected Results:
see above

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
The issue also works with letters.
Enter „Abcde Fgh“ and drag „Fgh“ to the beginning of the input line. You get
„FghAbcFgh“ instead of „FghAbcde“. The other way round works. If you drag
„Abcde“ to the end of the line, you’ll get „ FghAbcde“

Enter „Lorem Ipsum Dolor“ and drag „Dolor" to the left of „Ipsum“. You get
„Lorem DolorIDolor“.

It must be regression. The issue does not appear with LO 5.4.2.2

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 115530] Conditional formatting isn't updated when formula is updated (XLSX)

2018-02-07 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=115530

It seems that when ScConditionEntry::StartListening() is called during XLSX
import, the ranges aren't there yet.

My idea is that in the following function:
void CondFormat::finalizeImport()
https://opengrok.libreoffice.org/xref/core/sc/source/filter/oox/condformatbuffer.cxx#1052

...move the following line:
mpFormat->SetRange(maModel.maRanges);

...so it precedes this one:
maRules.forEachMem( &CondFormatRule::finalizeImport );

Based on a quick test that seems to fix the issue, but not sure if there's more
to it.

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed
bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this
bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the
details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in
getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

Sure, that's what severity is for. The bug doesn't prevent professional work,
but it gives a bad impression, and is quite annoying, as combo boxes are
everywhere (similarly there's bug 113714 that is the same, just with the main
menu). Plus it's a regression.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 115449] Add Tooltips to the Horizontal Ruler in Writer

2018-02-07 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=115449

The next paragraph is a revision of the second paragraph in my 2018-02-04
comment.

Implementing the suggestion in the first paragraph of my original comment would
not really explain the purpose of the icon to the left of the ruler. Of course,
a user could read the documentation. But we should consider a bigger change.
The tooltip for the icon might initially say, “Left tab. Click to change the
tab type. Click on ruler to set the tab.” Instead of cycling through the tab
types, a left-click would open a context menu to select a tab type. The
right-click function is already used and I am not suggesting that it be
changed. It opens a context menu to set the measurement unit for the ruler.

In my original comment, I suggested that tab stops on the ruler should have a
tooltip that shows the position, such as 0.50 ". This idea could be extended,
in the same way I suggested that the indents on the ruler be extended. As a tab
stop icon is being dragged, the tooltip would be displayed, with the tab’s
numerical position continuously updated in the tooltip. This would facilitate
fine adjustments.

Fix it or don't. I don't care at all. Apparently this is a well known problem
that has been going on for 10 years now. I'm not going to spend 10 hours trying
to track this crap down and I'm not going to use a spreadsheet program that I
have to constantly look over my shoulder to check whether or not it's losing my
data or not.

It seems that MS Excel is drawing 3D charts differently than LO.
It have two types of colours:
  - for plot area
  - for chart area
Both could have different colours.

As we cannot change "plot area" attributes, the best will be set it as "No
fill"

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 115478] Some text styles run over to a 2nd page on Ver 6, not on Ver 5.4

2018-02-07 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=115478

I am not inclined to sent you our commercial terms and conditions, which are in
Arial 10 point, but run over by
2 lines to a second page on Ver 6, not on Ver 5.4.

I printed out both versions and there is no word wrapping to the line below, so
margins are the same.

If held up to the light, you can see through the paper that Ver 6 starts off
aligned with Ver 5.4, but moves down out of alignment as you
look down the page, then runs over to a second page by 2 lines.

Text looks a lot cleaner on Ver 6 though.

I am just saying. It's not a bug, but you do lose 2 lines of text for whatever
reason. Up to you what you do with this info.
I will stick to Ver 5.4.

***Update***: I tested this in OpenOffice 4.1 and it is the same as your Ver 6,
runs over by 2 lines. So perhaps the bug (not really a bug),
may be in ver 5.4 after all.

FYI.

Bug ID: 115530
Summary: Conditional formatting isn't updated when formula is
updated (XLSX)
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.2.0.4 release
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Keywords: bibisected, bisected, regression
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Calc
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: ba...@caesar.elte.hu
Blocks: 113782

- Open the attached XLSX file.
- Change A1 to 2.

A10:A11 should alternate background colors based on A1 being odd/even.

=> No changes shown in A10:A11.

- Scroll away and back.

=> Colors in A10:A11 are finally updated.

Observed using LO 6.0.0.3 & 5.2.0.4 / Windows 7.
No issue using LO 5.1.0.3.
=> regression

No issue when opening the same file saved as XLS or ODS.

How can Notepad++ make a difference between two 8-bit encodings? It is not
possible. The autodetection was wrong, that's it.

i read Vince's description such that a *partially selected* paragraph
has its numbering copied, but as comment#2 indicates,
only a *completely selected* paragraph has its numbering copied.

then the suggested solution (1) was interpreted by Kendy as
applying to a single *completely selected* paragraph,
so that it's numbering should not be copied,
which isn't what it actually says!

i'd much prefer to copy the numbering of a single completely
selected paragraph, as that's how it worked even before the
commit cited in the description,
but currently i'm very confused by the comments here.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 74580] FILEOPEN: Add option to disable import dialog when opening a CSV file ( see comment #13)

2018-02-07 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=74580

In reply to Comment #29 (from V Stuart Foote)

re. whether a parallel task is needed for the HTML import.

> Importing sheet data from HTML is very much a corner case, in fact a user
> given a preference shuold be picking TSV or CSV to assure data quality
> compared to a table pulled from HTML.

Importing a table is one possibility, but you can simply save or generate a
spreadsheet as HTML. It has some advantages over CSV, especially in formatting.

Anyway, it doesn't really matter whether it's a corner case, or what some
developer or discussion participant magisterially thinks users 'should' do. The
fact is that it is an existing use case, in regular use in businesses I have
come across. Calc currently handles it in the same way as importing a CSV
(simplified, since importing HTML is simpler) and I merely point out that it
would be good practice for it to continue to do so, if the way of importing
CSVs changes.

TSV may also be a corner case. I had to look it up. But if Calc currently
handles it in the same way as CSV, yes, it would be good to continue to do so.

> Having the minimally intrusive textimportoptions.ui dialog [1][2][3] appear
> when opening a non-CSV document, including HTML, into Calc is not the issue
> here. Rather improving work flows for parsing complex CSV

The dialog is as intrusive as the CSV dialog, in the sense that it appears
every time.

Spreadsheet for manually calculating the rotation

The spreadsheet protection is without password. You can use the spreadsheet to
calculate the transformation, which is given in the file, manually step-by-step
. The default value for missing svg:x and svg:y values is zero.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 115529] New: Image rotation is wrong for file generated by Word from Office365

2018-02-07 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=115529

Bug ID: 115529
Summary: Image rotation is wrong for file generated by Word
from Office365
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.1.0.0.alpha0+ Master
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: rb.hensc...@t-online.de

Created attachment 139677
  --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=139677&action=edit
Dummytext with rotated image

The attached document was generated by Word from Office365. Opening in LO6.1
the rotation and the position is totally wrong.

The image has size 9cm width and 4cm height. It is anchored to paragraph with
"parallel"-wrap. Its position is 4cm from left and 3cm from top relative to
paragraph. So the center of the image is at 8,5cm from left and 5cm from top.
The image is rotated by 30deg. The rotated image should have the same center.

If you unpack the file and look, what Word has written, you find, that the
values are correct. So it is an import failure of LibreOffice.

I have tried it with Version: 6.1.0.0.alpha0+ (x64)
Build ID: 715114595e0feec49c4d54cc5eb26f13dccb7968

Do not reproduce bug 115268 with OPs .DOC file

Windows 10 Ent 64-bit en-US with
/a install of Version: 6.0.0.1 (x64)
Build ID: d2bec56d7865f05a1003dc88449f2b0fdd85309a

or a full install of Version: 6.0.0.3 (x64)

CPU threads: 8; OS: Windows 10.0; UI render: GL;
Locale: en-US (en_US); Calc: group

But I do get a crash with 6.0.0.3 [1] with the .WRI file from cmnt #23 [2],
giving the "LngSvcMgr::GetAvailableGrammarSvcs_Impl()" signature rather than
the "take_gil" signature. Launch with swriter.exe from CLI.

And no crash using current master build
Version: 6.1.0.0.alpha0+ (x64)

or the 6.0.0.1 build as above.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 115412] destroyed pictures in a table

2018-02-07 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=115412

I tried the described sequence again. This time on a different HW and SW
environment
- Windows 10 home, 64 bit
- OO 4.1.4
- LO 5.4.3.2 portable, same as in test from 2018-02-05

Following the 2018-02-05 sequence, the problem with the destroyed pictures (or
somehow a showing problem) in a table is still available and reproducable on my
side.

The bug might also be caused by a erroneous behaviour of OO, but I'm not able
to evluate this. So if you cannot reproduce, I will interrupt my tests.

Thanks for your efforts.
