https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=46988 --- Comment #29 from j22...@gmail.com --- The "smooth scroll" option is still present in Version: 6.0.1.1 It does nothing. ¿Why keep offering an option which has no effect whatsoever? I find it weird. Considering that the 1st message of this thread is from 2012, wouldn't it be more elegant to at least *remove the option* until something can be done about it? It just seems it is not a priority for LO developers (and I'm not in a position to question that), so why not simply remove the option and (likely) forget about this? In this case, I don't agree with "let's leave it until we fix the real problem in the code", because it seems a little strange to maintain several versions of the same application keeping an option without any effect (and of course, even more considering that this is known for so long). [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 116075] New: EDITING: Unwanted dragging of sheets + contents then deleted
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=116075 Bug ID: 116075 Summary: EDITING: Unwanted dragging of sheets + contents then deleted Product: LibreOffice Version: 5.4.5.1 release Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64) OS: Linux (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Calc Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: tomstew...@gmx.fr Description: My OS is Ubuntu 17.10. When I try to navigate between sheets, it grabs and drags them along. I am not holding down on any button to drag them, but this happens anyway. Much worse: after it drags a sheet, it often deletes all of its contents! Similarly, if I copy a selection of cells, and then paste them elsewhere, it won't let go of the pasted selection. It will keep dragging it around the sheet as if I am holding down on it. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open a file with >3 sheets, all with several columns. In each cell of each column, there are a few words of text. 2(a): Hover the cursor back and forth over the sheet names. Click on one sheet, then try to click on another. 2(b): Select and copy three cells in a row. Paste anywhere else. Try to click anywhere else in the sheet. Actual Results: 2(a): The user is not holding down any button, but the cursor grabs grabs the sheets, drags them along, and often then deletes their contents. 2(b): The pasted selection is dragged along, even though the user is not holding down any button. Expected Results: 2(a): It should be possible to click on individual sheets, and then work on the selected sheet. It should be possible to hold down on a sheet and drag it left or right, and for this to be released when the user releases the hold-down button. 2(b): It should be possible to navigate away from pasted cells. Reproducible: Sometimes User Profile Reset: Yes Additional Info: This happens when I use my mouse, and also when I completely unplug the mouse and use the trackpad. This behaviour only happens within LibreOffice Calc, no other programme. This leads me to believe that the source of the problem is LibreOffice Calc, not my mouse/trackpad or my own behaviour. This unwanted dragging has made the programme very difficult to use, and the deleting of contents has made me lose a lot of work. If changed, it should be changed in all components as well as in Calc. (In reply to Heiko Tietze from comment #1) > On the other hand Calc works exactly like suggested. Focus stays on B1 when > you insert a column left, meaning the cell content is moved to the right. In > Writer the focus remains on the current input and the selection moves with > the input. (I prefer the Writer way here.) Calc only works as intended in this bug report if you insert columns left or rows above. Not for columns right and rows below (because in fact the selection doesn't change). I'm not in favor of changing neither keeping the behavior, I haven't paid attention to this in the past to say what's better. But if we change it, to which cell should the cursor moving especially in RTL, CTL, CJK languages when several rows/columns are added? In LTR it's the top-left cell I assume. Now if you select a cell range and open the F dialog, the 'current selection only' option is activated automatically. If you deselect the cell range, then the option will be deactivated automatically. The problem is that the other way round (nothing selected, F opened, then cell range selected) doesn't work automatically. Also a subsequent selection of a cell range doesn't activate the 'current selection only' option again. This must be enhanced. > Solution 4: Drop the option and apply the function to the selection; if > nothing is selected use the whole sheet (that's the Excel way; feels quite > natural and would be my recommendation. > > => Remove the option 'Current selection only' in Find and Replace and use > always the selection or the full sheet if nothing is selected I'm against removing the option because it doesn't harm in the use case what was the reason for this bug report. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 116071] New: .doc style is lost after saving file as .odt
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=116071 Bug ID: 116071 Summary: .doc style is lost after saving file as .odt Product: LibreOffice Version: 6.0.1.1 release Hardware: All OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Writer Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: ho...@mogi.at Description: I have to use a .doc file where some style for a heading is used. In particular, a background area-fill is set for 'Heading 1'. If I save this .doc as .odt and reopen the file the 'Area'-fill is set to 'None'. As long as I use the .doc nothing changes on reopen. But if I look into the style I see already 'None' set for the 'Area'-fill tab. So I think that LO-Writer does show the imported style correctly but does not set the dialogues for the styles corretly. When saving the document as .odt all some information about the style is lost. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open the attached .doc file 2. Check the style of 'Heading 1': Area is set to 'None' even if a color is used as background fill 3. Save file as .odt 4. Close LO and reopen the .odt file; The Fill color of 'Heading 1' is no more visible!! 5. Check the style of 'Heading 1': Area is still set to 'None'. Actual Results: After saving the .doc as .odt some style information like 'Area'-fill is gone. Expected Results: The saved .odt should look like the .doc (with area-fill in headings) Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: The area fill is visible as long as you use the .doc even if in the style-dialogue the 'Area' is set to 'None'. Maybe only the dialogue values are not set correctly in the first place when opening in with the .doc. https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=116042 --- Comment #5 from Tomaz Vajngerl--- Always also try the latest master as I'm finding and fixing problems that aren't covered by out automatic tests on regular basis and fixing them. Also does it happen when you insert image, save, close, open? Always try this as that would mean the problem is in ODF export. Or save with the release version, then open with the LO master, then that would indicate the problem is with ODF import. If both of them work fine, then the problem is in core handling. Actually maybe it would be good to not report bugs regarding images for a week or two and then look into this (and other potential issues) again. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

Isn't the contrast aspect of this report part of OS settings? If so, the highlighting and text selection colors will be influenced by such a11y setting I assume. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 115424] menu font missing
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=115424 Telestochanged: What|Removed |Added CC||tele...@surfxs.nl --- Comment #7 from Telesto --- Quote from: https://ask.libreoffice.org/en/question/131310/libreoffice-54-font-gui-problem-just-rectangles-macos/ This worked: 1. Open Applications / Font Book.app 2. File -> Restore Standard Fonts 3. All non-system/default fonts will be removed and put into ~/Library/Fonts (Removed) 4. Close and reopen LibreOffice; it should work now 5. Optionally: reinstall the fonts from the removed folder and check if it still works; if not, rinse and repeat until you have identified the culprit font. In my case, I had another version of Helvetica Neue installed. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
