There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in getting confirmation that the bug is still present. If you have time, please do the following: Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/ If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. To do so: 1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/ 2. https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=116512 Bug ID: 116512 Summary: FILEOPEN: Text Import dialogue box hides behind empty spreadsheet when importing CSV Product: LibreOffice Version: 6.0.2.1 release Hardware: All OS: Mac OS X (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Calc Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: tagishsi...@gmail.com Description: Double-clicking on a CSV file in Finder (on a mac) causes OO Calc to open the file (presuming appropriate file associations) ... OO Calc will put up a Text Import dialogue box allowing the user to specify character set, seperators, etc. When double-clicking on a CSV file in Finder, with OO Calc already open and with an existing spreadsheet window open & being displayed, OO puts up a blank spreadsheet window, and puts up the Text Import dialogue box ... but hides the Text Import dialogue box behind the blank spreadsheet window. The unsuspecting user can see the blank spreadsheet window, but may have no clue that there's a Text Import dialogue box open. Note that when clicking on a CSV in finder: - with OO closed, the Text Import dialogue box is foregrounded - with OO open, but no files open, the Text Import dialogue box is foregrounded - with OO open, and with a calc file minimised, the Text Import dialogue box is foregrounded - with OO open, and with a calc file being displayed, the Text Import dialogue box is BACKGROUNDED The Text Import dialogue box Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open openoffice 2. Create a spreadsheet, and leave the spreadsheet window displayed (i.e. do not minimise it) 3. Go to Finder 4. Interestingly, opening the Function Wizard window does NOT cause Calc to crash in the following closely related scenarios: - Instead of the =SUM(1) formula, a simpler =1 formula is used. - The formula is =SUM(1), but instead of using the Cmd-F2 keyboard shortcut, the Function Wizard window is opened by clicking on the "fx" icon/button on the formula bar, or by using the menu Insert > Function. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Create a new blank spreadsheet. 2. Enter the =SUM(1) formula in cell A1. 3. Select cell A1 and type Cmd-F2 (Apple/Mac keyboard shortcut). Actual Results: Calc crashes. Set the page style in the first paragraph of the page, that you want to get the new style. You find the setting in the paragraph properties in tab "Text Flow". If you will switch the page style while you are writing, do not use Ctrl+Enter, but use Insert > Manuel Break, which allows you to select the page style. 2. A page style has a field "Next style" in the tab "Organizer". That means, that one page uses the given style, but the next pages will use the style specified there. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 116506] New: Numbered Lists Don't Work And Haven't For A Decade
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=116506 Bug ID: 116506 Summary: Numbered Lists Don't Work And Haven't For A Decade Product: LibreOffice Version: 3.3.0 release Hardware: All OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Writer Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: gosmallwhe...@msn.com Description: Ever since I first used OpenOffice and then Libreoffice numbered lists haven't worked using the Tahoma font. At number 10 the next word is about six spaces to the right of the number. If I go into the format>bullets and numbers and select the style I want it works; but it changes the font and won't work for Tahoma. So if I highlight all of the list and select Tahoma it will then cause the problem. I don't know how this will show up on your page but below I'm going to try to show it to you by creating a list. 1. word 2. word 3. word 4. word 5. word 6. word 7. word 8. word 9. word 10. word If I move the cursor to the empty space and press backspace it will move the word to the number 9 line behind the previous word. 9. wordword. I don't know if this malfunctions for all fonts. I haven't tested it. This bug is also in Google Docs. Maybe they got their code from you. I reported this years ago and nothing was done. I'm just getting back to using Libreoffice and the bug is still here. PLEASE fix this. A second bug is the spacing of the letters when printing documents with the Tahoma font. It just looks ugly. The spacing is really bad. Please fix that too. Steps to Reproduce: 1.Select Tahoma font 2.Make a numbered list with at least ten entries 3.Observe how bad it looks Actual Results: 1.Select Tahoma font 2.Make a numbered list with at least ten entries 3.Observe how bad it looks at number ten. The first word will be many spaces to the right. The numbers in the list don't realign so that the zero in the number ten is below the number nine. Expected Results: After the number 10 there will be a big space between the zero and the next letter. 10. word. Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: Yes OpenGL enabled: Yes Additional Info: When typing the number 10 in a numbered list it should realign under the number nine to show the zero directly under the number nine. The column of numbers should shift to accommodate this change at every level such at number 9 to 10, number 99 to 100, number 999 to 1000, et cetera. The beginning of each first letter of each numbered item should align from number one to the last number in the list. I did not try resetting the UserProfile. I did not see if OpenGL is enabled. I'm not a computer guy. I just use programs. This has happened on my Gateway Windows XP SP3 desktop from 2004 in OpenOffice, an Apple Macbook using Libreoffice from 2008 using Leopard. It did this on Windows Vista. It did this on all of my GNU/Linux machines using Ubuntu and Elementary since 2013. It does it on my Chromebook to this day in Google Docs. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 116464] Illegible text in File->Open dialog

Here are the results: 1) LibreOffice-fresh.basic-x86_64.AppImage -- % ./LibreOffice-fresh.basic-x86_64.AppImage Version: 6.0.2.1 Build ID: f7f06a8f319e4b62f9bc5095aa112a65d2f3ac89 CPU threads: 4; OS: Linux 4.13; UI render: default; VCL: gtk2; Locale: en-US (en_US.UTF-8); Calc: group The subfolder labels were all correctly displayed (see new screenshot). 2) Regular libreoffice 6.0.2.1 -- % libreoffice6.0 (soffice:4772): Pango-WARNING **: failed to create cairo scaled font, expect ugly output. the offending font is 'Noto Sans Bold 9' (soffice:4772): Pango-WARNING **: font_face status is: file not found (soffice:4772): Pango-WARNING **: scaled_font status is: file not found (soffice:4772): Pango-WARNING **: shaping failure, expect ugly output. shape-engine='PangoFcShapeEngine', font='Noto Sans Bold 9', text='Documents' The error messages of the regular version seem to indicate a font issue, which would perfectly explain the empty rectangles. It would be tempting to assume that my fonts installation is corrupt. However, why does LO 5.4.5.1 not issue similar error messages?
