[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 113960] [Tables] Adapting table width by default
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=113960 --- Comment #7 from zyklo...@web.de --- The problem exactly is, that the table width is _not_ altered, after making a column smaller or bigger – instead other columns get modified, what I absolutely don’t like, as I in about all cases set up my column width exactly to my needs. And I don’t like to do that process all the time again. :/ And oftentimes, the table alignment also gets altered. When I set a table to be centered, I don’t like that to be changed. Only the table width (not the column widths) need to change with content. There just is the default “automatic” mode, which may allow the column width to adapt sizec – ok – but please don’t do that in all other modes! If you browse on one website, you also won’t like Firefox to alter the contents of other websites. https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=116609 --- Comment #2 from zyklo...@web.de --- My other bug is about changes for one column affecting other columns. This bug in contrast is about the way table settings are implemented, because that’s a quite tedious task. I for example like to propose, that column width changes should be allowed even if the table would grow beyond the page width – but just temporarily, for as long the user resides in that settings dialog (thus the “apply” button should be greyed out then). English - العَرَبِيَّة. 4. Now copy the entire title box; place the copy under the original 5. Edit the bottom copy's text 6. Replace the word "LTR" on the first line with "RTL" 7. Set the bottom copy's direction to RTL Reproduction for my screenshot - Writer: 1. Create a new document. 2. Type in the following text: LTR English – עברית. English - العَرَبِيَّة. RTL English – עברית. English - العَرَبِيَّة. 3. Set the top 3 one-line-paragraphs to LTR, and the bottom 3 one-line-paragraphs to RTL. 4. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 116627] EDITING / VIEWING underline is too fat / bold
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=116627 --- Comment #5 from V Stuart Foote --- (In reply to willemijns from comment #4) > Created attachment 140892 [details] > display diff between LO and Wordpad > > Hummm wordpad is able to "unhide" bottoms pixels of letters which > can cause troubles.. LO can do that too by knowing position of well-known > and used fonts no ? Nope! But in general typography would be better to be able to manually assign "position" the underline, or to read the underline "recommendation" from each of the fonts in the selected text/paragraph and apply the greatest of them as underline. And stroke weight would need to be handled. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 114743] PRINT: angled text does not display
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=114743 --- Comment #13 from Terrence Enger --- I still see the bug on debian-sid in - daily Linux dbgutil bibisect repository version 2018-03-26 - daily build 2018-02-25 - local build of commit 5e18136a, 2016-03-26 Note that for my test I am aborting the entry into C14 with "". If instead I complete the entry into C14 with "", the program still displays the angled text in row 14. The continued display of row 14 after "" is new sometime since daily Linux dbgutil bibisect repository version 2017-09-30. "" restores the display of text in row 14, and it always has, so far as I have noticed. I wonder how my system is different. Since moving to a new (to me) computer at the beginning of February, I do have other unexplained problems: - In local builds, unit tests fail, always something to do with fonts or spacing. - After I have mysterious changes to my desktop and to program settings. https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=116642 Bug ID: 116642 Summary: [HELP] Incorrect description of the COUNTIFS function Product: LibreOffice Version: unspecified Hardware: All OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Documentation Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: stanislav.hora...@gmail.com CC: olivier.hal...@documentfoundation.org Help for the COUNTIFS function [1] states that the function "returns the count of rows or columns" - there should be "count of cells" instead. The reason is not obvious from the presented examples, because they deal only with data ranges spanning one column of a sheet. If the first example is changed from =COUNTIFS(B2:B6;">=20") to =COUNTIFS(B2:C6;">=20"), then the result will be 7 which does not relate to rows nor columns. Maybe - having now the possibility to add example files - would be useful to add such a file with more examples.
