[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 56887] PDF Export uses the template name rather than document name for the " PDF Title" field
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=56887 --- Comment #13 from QA Administrators --- ** Please read this message in its entirety before responding ** To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today, LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed bugs which have not been touched for over a year. There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in getting confirmation that the bug is still present. If you have time, please do the following: Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/ If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. Please DO NOT Update the version field Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker) Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular meaning that is not appropriate in this case) If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a REGRESSION. To do so: 1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/ 2. Test your bug 3. Leave a comment with your results. 4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo'; 4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat: https://kiwiirc.com/nextclient/irc.freenode.net/#libreoffice-qa Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone! [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 117002] New: ISNUMBER is treating the value provided by LEFT as text instead of as a number.
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=117002 Bug ID: 117002 Summary: ISNUMBER is treating the value provided by LEFT as text instead of as a number. Product: LibreOffice Version: 5.4.5.1 release Hardware: All OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Calc Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: simm.ema...@gmail.com The ISNUMBER function is not recognizing a number when it is obtained through another function, or at least through LEFT(). I need to know whether a string of text starts with a number, or not, and so I used =ISNUMBER(LEFT(G6)). The value of G6 is "2aaa" The result of =Left(G6) is 2. =ISNUMBER(LEFT(G6)) results in FALSE. It should show TRUE. Also, copying and pasting the cell containing the function using Paste Only > Text results in 2 being displayed in the cell. But copying and pasting using Paste Only > Number option results in a blank cell. I am pretty sure that the problem is with ISNUMBER, because if I add a number to the result of LEFT, I get a correct sum: =LEFT(G6)+1 equals 3. ISNUMBER is treating the value provided by LEFT as text instead of as a number. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=116944 --- Comment #27 from Gerhard Weydt --- @25: That's just the problem I wanted to address: you people in the heart of LibreOffice have many connections, but we simple users (as which I consider myself: I have 30 years of experience in software development, but not in LibreOffice; I am active in using LibO and writing handbooks, but not involved in development; I certainly can help in testing, perhaps in suggesting, but probably not in sketching solutions) do not have the information. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 116944] Firebird-migration must happen only after user consent and advise to backup data prior to migration at 6.1
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=116944 --- Comment #24 from Gerhard Weydt --- I think we all agree that the presently communicated concept for the change-over from HSQLDB to Firebird - which I hope all will accept as necessary in the long run - is much more convincing than what we understood from the bits of information we had got (the information policy could have been better). Now those of us that are concerned with HSQL databases and have more knowledge than "simple" users should intensively test Firebird and the migration program and report our findings, in order that the migration, when it will be in effect, should be easy, secure and complete, as far as it is possible, for all users, and hence be accepted as a positive step even by those users who might not care for the reasons behind the screen. - The discusion I followed was in the german discuss and in this bug. How will the international community be involved? - Where can we report? Please define some address to collect these reports, so that Tamás can use the information to improve his migration program (and maybe there are also possible enhancements for Firebird within LibO). I will test with my databases, and I am also willing to test again and again with newer versions of LibO, if asked. I am a fan of databases, and I will do much to maintain Base as a useful tool. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

Besides it works OK for other applications. > I would probably give up on the printer specific driver, and at least check a current "Universal Print" driver. Ricoh has fairly active support page, and PCL6 and PS driver packages for Windows 10, 8.1, 7 both 64-bit and 32-bit. http://support.ricoh.com/bb/html/dr_ut_e/rc3/model/p_i/p_i.htm?lang=en Larger projects (e.g. for Autodesk, Adobe) have been able to get custom driver work done, but I think LibreOffice is going to be left hanging. Of course, it also depends on how old the printer in question is. > Long shot: I use Visual Studio for .NET development, but I think that I can > also build and debug C/C++, so I could try to download the source code and > try to reproduce the exception in the debugger... Possibly, but a lot of work and you still may end up with the same non-helpful pointers into the Ricoh drivers DLL. Without symbols from Ricoh don't think you'll get anything helpful. If you look at the URL linked in comment 13 any of the reports there will have a breakpad delivered stack trace annotated from LibreOffice and Microsoft debug symbols. The missing piece is the Ricoh code. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 116679] FORMATTING: Impress crashes 100% reproducible on Format > Character... (Crash in: RC96E100.DLL)
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=116679 --- Comment #14 from Leo --- In the other LibreOffice modules I get the same crash when I try to open the Format>Character dialog. Also when opening the Print dialog it crashes immediately. The setting I had was 'Let Windows manage my default printer', meaning that it picks the one most recently used. After setting a different default printer the crash no longer happens when I open the Format>Character or Print dialog (yeah!). But when I then select the Ricoh printer it crashes again... At least I can continue editing documents -- I just cannot print them here in the office, unless I first export to PDF and then print the PDF. So it's quite obvious now that the problem is caused by the Ricoh printer driver. What do you recommend? I'm a bit reluctant to try a different driver because I've had to spent a lot of time to get it working (we're in a shared office, and the printer driver was provided by the office management, but otherwise not much support). Besides it works OK for other applications. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 72640] RTL: numbering alignment issue with doc and docx files
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=72640 --- Comment #20 from Buovjaga --- Created attachment 141339 --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=141339&action=edit Screenshot MSO2013 NumAlignRTL.docx numbering indents and spacing Ok, I discussed with Mark on IRC and I have been confused and this whole report is highly confusing what with the multiple things to look at and two formats. Attached is a screenshot showing that the -1-1 numbering in NumAlignRTL.docx has hanging indentation. The value is different for different numbering entries. The numbering and bullets under the -1-1 numbering also have hanging indentation. The difference is the alignment is "both" instead of "left". The -1-1 numberings have 0 left and right indentation. The lists below it have 0,63 cm left indentation (same as their hanging value). I hope this helps. I don't have time for more now, but can do later, if needed. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
