https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=95266 --- Comment #10 from Luke Kendall--- It happens very reproducibly with just .odt files. Certainly if your insertion point is in a comment in a .odt doc: if you set the insertion point in a comment, and scroll many pages away, then click into a 2nd doc (.odt) and then just select the window frame for the 1st doc, it scrolls back to the page with the comment with the cursor insertion point. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 117025] New: Deleting bullets in a table cell when cell crosses pages crashes Writer
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=117025 Bug ID: 117025 Summary: Deleting bullets in a table cell when cell crosses pages crashes Writer Product: LibreOffice Version: 6.0.2.1 release Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64) OS: Windows (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Writer Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: ber...@mayoff.com Description: I have a four column table the width of a page and three pages long. A cell at the bottom of the first page has bulleted text in one cell. That cell crosses the page break. Every time I update that cell to turn off the bullets, LibreOffice Writer "Stops working", It crashes. Fortunately the document is recoverable. Steps to Reproduce: 1. In Writer, create a page width table with four columns. 2. Add enough rows to spill over to a second page. 3. In a row near the bottom of the first page, in the third column add a few two or three word paragraphs, enough to make the row split across pages. 4. Highlight those paragraphs and make them bullets. 5. Save the document. 6. Highlight the bulleted lines and turn-off bullets. 3. Actual Results: Writer crashes every time. Expected Results: Bullets should disappear. I should be able to replace the text in the cell. Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: Version: 6.0.2.1 (x64) Build ID: f7f06a8f319e4b62f9bc5095aa112a65d2f3ac89 CPU threads: 6; OS: Windows 10.0; UI render: default; Locale: en-US (en_US); Calc: group User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/65.0.3325.181 Safari/537.36 -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=117024 Bug ID: 117024 Summary: Selecting a form in navigator does not scroll to the page Product: LibreOffice Version: 5.2.3.3 release Hardware: All OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Writer Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: gerhard.we...@t-online.de Steps to reproduce: - Create a writer document with two pages (simply to ensure you need scrolling to view the objects) - Insert a drawing object/form in the first paragraph, i.e. on page 1. The anchoring doesn't matter. - Put the cursor on page 2. - In the navigator, select the drawing object you just created (in the section "Drawing objects") Expected behaviour: the drawing is selected and the part of the page containing the object is displayed: this happens for all other types of navigator objects I tested Actual behaviour: the object is selected, but no scrolling to the page containing the object occurs. This is very annoying in large documents, and could probably be easily mended by copying code from some other item in the navigator I put in release 5.2.3.3, because it's the first I could easily reproduce that; before that release (or about that) the drawing objects are not named automatically and therefore are not displayed in the navigator, so you cannot test the scenario directly. I don't think it worthwhile to test this in former versions with documents created in higher versions. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 117009] In Impress UI scroll bars are active beyond the extent of the slide
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=117009 --- Comment #4 from brian.bj.parke...@gmail.com --- (In reply to V Stuart Foote from comment #3) In Keynote you can still add and edit figures off-screen on the full canvas, similarly to Draw, if you zoom out sufficiently. The only difference is that when zoomed in you are limited to scrolling the display area and not the full canvas (same for Powerpoint). I agree that for LO Draw there is an advantage to being able to scroll over the whole canvas when zoomed in, as it is usual to prepare figures outside the display area and one is typically working on a single figure. For a presentation program though, where you are regularly quickly shifting between a large number of slides, and editing off-screen figures is less common, that is a poor user interface due to the ease of shifting slides off the display area when dragging text boxes etc. I use both LO Impress and OSX Keynote and Powerpoint regularly to prepare lectures and Keynote and Powerpoint feel much more fluid and stable to me, due to this issue (particularly as LO Draw is slower with a large number of slides). I agree there may be some benefit to having consistency of UI between LO Draw and LO Impress, but I think they are quite different applications and could benefit from having different defaults in this case. > Created attachment 141383 [details] > ODF presentation with Draw objects positioned off the slide > > While Presentation's slide object (or Draw's page) has an active display > size (or print area)--the entire canvas is exposed to hold Draw objects. > > Impress (or Draw) scrollbars are linked to the full extent of the canvas in > memory--not to the display/print size. > > See the attached presentation for an example, and to understand why the > scroll bars must extend beyond slide/page settings to include the entire > canvas. > > Some potential to limit the active edit area to just the slide (or page); > but that has never been the OOo, or LibreOffice way--many folks would see it > as a regression. > > =>WF -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

I no longer > see corruption in Writer or the Help browser (I haven't checked the other > components yet). Whether this is because of a fix in LO or it's because of > the switch to Plasma 5, I have no idea. > > It's been a long 4 to 5 years of living with this headache, but for the > moment it WORKSFORME. Hopefully the fix was in LO and the issue is resolved Thanks for reporting and sorry that it annoyed you such a long time. As you can notice from the comments/QA-volunteers, it didn't seem a general issue, easy to reproduce, rather something due to specific circumstance(s) XYZ.. ;) > for the rest of you as well. Maybe we can finally put this bug to bed. > > OpenGL is still a colossal train wreck though... :) Thanks again & enjoy LibreOffice! [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 98500] Multiple animated GIFs cause 100% CPU utilization in Impress
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=98500 --- Comment #23 from Buovjaga--- (In reply to Buovjaga from comment #2) > When scrolling the thumbs, I only very briefly hit 100% CPU. I do have a i7 > 6700k Skylake. > Yet, going to slide 9 and clicking on the image brought about a massive > slowdown and CPU screaming even over 100% at times. Was going to try to bibisect this, but now the problem seems to be solved. Scrolling thumbs makes CPU peak at only 27%. Clicking on image either in Notes or normal view does not cause any slowdown or huge CPU use. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 116944] Firebird-migration must happen only after user consent and advise to backup data prior to migration at 6.1
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=116944 --- Comment #39 from V Stuart Foote--- (In reply to robert from comment #37) > Seems there should appear a popup. Better would be: You choose the migration > explicit. A popup will appear every time I open a HSQLDB-database with LO > 6.1. A opening dialog is appropriate here because the migration can occur. I'd expect additional dev work to control offering the migration, including an expert configuration stanza or Options entry to not convert while we continue to carry HSQLDB > One unconcentrated moment and the user presses "YES" - all data will > have been gone for him. > Maybe, but lets get the GUI pieces working. > The migration isn't working as intended.
