Still reproduced in LibreOffice 6.0.2.3 and Inkscape 0.92.3.

If I inserted an svg file (Insert > Image) in Impress it worked. It would
insert the vector graph successfully.

However if I copied the graph in an svg file and then directly copied it in
Impress it would become a raster image.

I tried it with Linux version, the LibreOffice and Inkscape versions are as
follows:

版本:6.0.3.2
組建 ID:1:6.0.3~rc2-0ubuntu0.16.04.1~lo2
CPU 執行緒:4; OS:Linux 4.11; UI 算繪:預設; VCL: kde4;
語言地區:zh-TW (zh_TW.UTF-8); Calc: group

Inkscape 0.92.3 (unknown)

BTW, my friend tested it on Windows (10?) and he said that copy-paste on
Windows works well. I don't have a Windows box so I can't assure it for now.

** Please read this message in its entirety before responding **

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed
bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this
bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the
details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in
getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information
from Help - About LibreOffice.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to
RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help
- About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular
meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a
REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from
http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 117134] New: FILEOPEN Adjacent tables in DOCX mostly overlap

2018-04-20 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=117134

Bug ID: 117134
Summary: FILEOPEN Adjacent tables in DOCX mostly overlap
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 4.0.0.3 release
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: ba...@caesar.elte.hu
Blocks: 10

Created attachment 141508
  --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=141508&action=edit
Sample DOCX (created in Word)

The attached DOCX contains two tables, right below one another. The first one
is a floating table (text wrapping set to: Around), there's an empty line
between the tables, but it slides up next to the first table because of that.

In Writer the two tables (the first is imported inside a frame) mostly overlap.
This is a case where having a setting mentioned in bug 117132 could be useful.

Observed using LO 6.0.3.2 & 4.0.0.3 / Windows 7.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 117133] New: Option for grid subdivision do not persist when using points as measurement unit

2018-04-20 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=117133

Bug ID: 117133
Summary: Option for grid subdivision do not persist when using
points as measurement unit
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.4.6.2 release
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Draw
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: michaelep...@gmail.com

Description:
When using points as the measurement unit, setting the grid subdivisions per
unit size does not appear to persist, and is reset on restart of libreoffice
(all applications: draw, impress, writer, etc).

Steps to Reproduce:
0. I'm able to reproduce on a (relatively) new, clean install of Fedora 27; I
have not attempted to reproduce in a pristine VM. This issue does not appear to
effect all measurement types, such as millimeters/centimeters, but I did not
exhaustively test all measurement types.
1. Select "points" in the Tools menu >> options... >> LibreOffice Impress/Draw"
>> General >> Unit of measurement; save via "OK" button.
2. Modify the grid size and subdivisions in the Tools menu >> options... >>
LibreOffice Impress/Draw" >> Gird >> Resolution/Subdivision ; enter 72.0 for
all values here; save via "OK" button.
3. Restart libreoffice.
4. Inspect the grid size and subdivisions in the Tools menu >> options... >>
LibreOffice Impress/Draw" >> Gird >> Resolution/Subdivision.

Actual Results:
The grid resolution is typically preserved and for saved value of 72.0 pt,
after restart the grid resolution is still 72.0 pt. However, for a saved value
of 72 (spaces) grid subdivisions, after restart a value of 74 spaces will be
presented . The new grid size will result in incorrectly positioned elements
when snapping to grid points, other objects, etc.

Expected Results:
The grid subdivision option should be correctly preserved.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: Yes

2018-04-20 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=117132

Bug ID: 117132
Summary: Setting to prevent overlap of frames, tables etc.
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: unspecified
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: enhancement
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: ba...@caesar.elte.hu
CC: vmik...@collabora.co.uk
Blocks: 87740

Created attachment 141507
  --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=141507&action=edit
Sample ODT

In the attached document, the text wraps around the frame as expected, however,
the table does not, and is partially hidden under the frame. It would be useful
to have an option to prevent overlap.

This is somewhat of an interoperability issue, in Word only floating tables
allow overlap, and even there it's configurable by a setting: Allow overlap.

In Word the setting is also part of the general layout options.

Being able to import/export this setting would simplify conversion between ODF
and DOC(X) formats.

Font handling (was reworked 5.3 with tweaks through 5.4) so what LibreOffice
build was it last correct. Font details and metrics for your "Courier Prime 12"
font?

Looking at the 1.203 build of the font shows it is OTF Version 3, so would not
use the OTF recommended Typo metrics that a Version 4 font would, and so uses
the Win Ascent/Descent metrics.

Then, depending on the metrics of the font, the LibreOffice "Double" line
spacing applies 200% of the calculated fontheight+leading.

As a work around, you can switch line spacing to "proportional" and adjust up
or down from 200% to get your document back to your expected page count. Also,
be sure your paragraph spacings (Format -> Paragraph: Spacing above, Spacing
below and the "Don't add space between paragraphs of the same style") are set
as you'd prefer.

Possible alternative is to find an OTF version 4 font and work with that.

I understand the bug quoted by Gabor but I don't know how to fix this.

About Heiko's description, I can see style capitalization is different between

However it seems

contains the strings.

The bits "printer driver problem" and "unhandled exception was encountered

of course not the same: some other callback needs love.

I appreciate all the efforts Leo have already done here; but we need some
(hopefully last) bit of information: the same thing that helped us to find and
fix bug 115649 - a minidump. Could you please use procdump from SysInternals to
get the soffice.bin minidump and post it here? Thank you!

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 117131] New: Double Line Formating Has Changed After Updating To v5.4.6.2

2018-04-20 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=117131

Bug ID: 117131
Summary: Double Line Formating Has Changed After Updating To
v5.4.6.2
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.4.6.2 release
  Hardware: x86 (IA32)
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: rayis...@hotmail.com

The double line spacing in an .ODT document I have been working on in
LibreOffice for over a year has altered since updating to v5.4.6.2. The
document has reduced from 456 to 362 pages due to the double line spacing
shrinking in size. There are now 28 lines per page instead of the normal 22
lines. When I open the document, the information bar reads 456 pages initially
but after a few seconds the page number drops to 362. The number of words and
characters has not changed. The document font is Courier Prime 12. When I open
a new document in LibreOffice the double line spacing appears correct. I have
asked for help on the community forum but the one reply I received did not
solve the problem.
After installing the v5.4.6.2 update it requested that I reboot my Windows 10
x86 laptop. I have not had to reboot after a LibreOffice update before. The
problem with the line spacing occurred after this update. The document opens
correctly in Apache OpenOffice v4.1.5 and MS Word 2016.
To try to solve The problem I highlighted all the document text in LibreOffice
and reset the line spacing to "double" in Format - Paragraph - Line Spacing but
this did not rectify the problem. I uninstalled v5.4.6.2 and deleted any
LibreOffice folders in Program Files and AppData/Roaming. I then reinstalled
the previous version of LibreOffice but this did not solve the problem. I saved
the document as a .docx in MS Word 2016 and then opened it in LibreOffice but
the problem persisted. I saved the document as .ODT in Apache OpenOffice but
when I opened it in LibreOffice the same problem occurred. I tried copying and
pasting the text into a new LibreOffice document but that didn't solve the
problem. I'm using a fresh copy of the document from an external source each
time I try a new fix. I'm unable to upload this document.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 117129] New: Libre office Swriter crashes when opening Microsot word doc in 97-2003 doc format

2018-04-20 Thread bugzilla-daemon

Bug ID: 117129
Summary: Libre office Swriter crashes when opening Microsot
word doc in 97-2003 doc format
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.0.2.1 release
  Hardware: All
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: narayanvenugo...@hotmail.com

Description:
i have a word doc file created in 97-2003 fomat. However every time i try to
open it, all of libre office crashes. Including files i have opened in Scalc
,or other Libre office suite.

The document however opens perfectly with MS word viewer.

Note: The file contains various private information and I cannot upload it
here, However I can send to a private email , provided IT is not posted
publicly.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open a few scalc,sdraw, swriter docs
2. Now open one attachment I provide
3.Entire libre office suite crashes, bringing down everything

Actual Results:
Entire libreoffice suite crashes and closes down. Information is NOT saved in
other documents

Expected Results:
Only the component that is being opened, ie, the document must crash and other
suite of software / documents must be isolated.

This would be good case to identify and perhaps make libre office more robust
and crash proof with isolation / ring fencing of crashes only to one particular
instance of document operation.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
I have a document that is causing this crash. I cannot however upload this as
it has various personal information. SO I can only send to a bug developer as
long as it is not publically posted.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 117128] New: characters with an accent are inserted before normal characters

2018-04-20 Thread bugzilla-daemon

Bug ID: 117128
Summary: characters with an accent are inserted before normal

   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.4.4.2 release
  Hardware: All
OS: Mac OS X (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: minor
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: duthen.mac...@gmail.com

Description:
[UI] When LO is overloaded, the characters appear slowly and in a wrong order.
The buffered characters with an accent are inserted before the characters
without accents.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open a Text document with many graphics
2. Type quickly "mémémémé" or "çaçaçaçaça" or "elle est régulière"
3. wait a little bit (2 to 3 seconds)

Actual Results:
the characters are not inserted in the document in the order I typed them:
=> "" or "" or "elle est éèrgulire"

Expected Results:
=> "mémémémé" or "çaçaçaçaça" or "elle est régulière"

Reproducible: Sometimes

My mac has only 8Gb RAM.
I open several applications with many windows.
For example, I use Chrome with 10 windows and 20 tabs per window.
I opened 20 Finder windows.

The rainbow wheel and the Activity Monitor show that the system tends to swap.

I've already seen the bug with some earlier versions of LibreOffice but can't
remember precisely which ones.

It happens only when LO is really overloaded, specially with a text with many
Calc draws, but sometimes with a new empty document (with the other document
still opened).

The "easy workaround" is one of:
- buy a mac with more RAM (or a PC).
- close other applications.
- type the text in some other text editor (emacs, sublime text, textedit...)
and copy/paste it into LO.
- type slowly enough (about 1 character per second) and wait for each regular
character to be displayed before typing any accentuated character.
- fix the wrong words (change by hand "éèrgulire" into "régulière").

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 117105] Libreoffice 6.0.2 crashes when choosing "Tools" > "Options" and secring.gpg is present in Linux

2018-04-20 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=117105

The official package of Libreoffice in CentOS is much older and does not
exhibit this behaviour, it occured when I downloaded the rpms from
Libreoffice.org, version 6.0.2, and installed those instead of CentOS's
libreoffice packages. With 6.0.3 this seems to have been solved on CentOS.

The Slackware build of Libreoffice, version 6.0.2, is semi-offical, it is build
by one of the main contributors to Slackware. I would guess that shared
libraries are used wherever possible with that build. I remember also seeing
this behaviour on OpenBSD with libreoffice 6.0.x, but I did not report a bug
then.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 35550] "Previous Window" keyboard shortcut goes to next window

2018-04-20 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=35550

I have the "bug" too, with:

Version: 5.4.4.2
Build ID: 2524958677847fb3bb44820e40380acbe820f960
Threads CPU : 8; OS : Mac OS X 10.13.4; UI Render : par défaut;
Locale : fr-FR (fr_FR.UTF-8); Calc: group

I'm using a fully french mac (french keyboard, french system, french locale,
french software...).

In all applications, "`" is a dead key. Pressing the "`" key and then "a" key
produces "à", which is very common in french (but is usually obtained by
pressing the "à" key itself (the "0" key without "shift")). To get a "`"
character alone (useful in lisp macros), we have to press once the "`" key and
then the space bar.

In many applications, pressing cmd-` switches to the next window and
cmd-shift-` to the previous window.

In LibreOffice, the behaviour of cmd-` depends on the document type.

= In a Writer document, it's almost the same with or without keeping "cmd"
down:
- press "`" (without "cmd")
-> insert a "`" dead character, with the same background as a selected
character, but without any border.
- click menu "Fenêtre" > some other window ("Fenêtre" means "Window")
- click menu "Fenêtre" > the previous window
-> the "`" is still highlighted
- press "a"
-> the "`" is replaced by a "a" (not a "à")

- press "cmd-`"
-> it switches to the next window
- click menu "Fenêtre" > the previous window
-> there is a "`" highlighted character
- press "a"
-> the "`" is replaced by a "a" (not a "à")

= In a Calc document, it's more complexe.
- double click a cell
- press "l" and then "`"
-> insert a "l" and a "`" dead character, with the a lighter background than a
selected character.
- click menu "Fenêtre" > some other window ("Fenêtre" means "Window")
- click menu "Fenêtre" > the previous window
-> the cell itself is highlighted (and contains "l`")

if you:
- press "a"
-> the whole contents of the cell is replaced by a "a".

but if you:
- double click the cell to edit its contents
-> it contains "l`"
- press "a"
-> nothing happens: no "a", no "à", the "`" remains

When pressing "cmd-`", we have the same behaviour (plus the window switching).

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 117102] picture scaling not fine enough

2018-04-20 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=117102

--- Comment #10 from Dr. Matthias Weisser ---
Hello Dieter,
you write:
"I still have Scaling of 62% and 61%, and I don't know why."

I also do not why this is so with your system.
I am using Win7 64bit, LO5.3.7.2 and my system does show now "Sklarierung" 42%
with your test3.odt.

I see you changed the height in the field "Bildgröße" which is below
"Skalierung". This works. If I put 19cm in "Höhe" at ""Bildgröße", so this will
change "Höhe" in "Skalierung" to 40%. Putting to 42% results in 19,96 cm which
is too big. You set the value to 19,74cm which fits better.

So its not directly possible using "Skalierung" in fine enough steps. To do
fine enough its necessary using "Höhe" at ""Bildgröße". Why is is not possible
changing the percent value in finer steps? You see that this seems to be
necessary here.

Best, Matthias

Mockup for nested styles including comments

Basically, the idea is to provide a multi-selection in the character styles
list (same idea was suggested back in OOO times).

Such a modification involves questions on single/double click activation of
styles (bug 94427), requires a way to indicate overridden properties (done per
style inspector, see bug 112852), which in turn is relevant for bug 90646. And
also how paragraph styles are filtered (bug 114886, bug 69551). See comments in
the mockup for details.

Don't remember what I had in mind with my previous comment. But checking again,
the text flow is still from left to right first in tables and secondary from
top to bottom. We better switch that and go from top to bottom first and then
left to right.
Test scenario is when the complete table is formatted with a numbered style.

Taking the basically agreement into the +1 to allow freezing of

Integrating in the Navigation bar, that can be started from the Navigator?
Could be. But will then the 'edit positions' be on of the many choices, or a

Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal

  Reporter: sergio.calleg...@gmail.com

Description:
If a picture is included multiple times in a presentation (i.e., because it is
placed in one slide and then copied to another one), Libreoffice should store
it only once in the odp file. However, if a png image appears in multiple
places with different cropping, it gets saved multiple times. This is quickly
verified by opening the odp file with a zip tool and noticing that in the
picture folder there are multiple elements with the same checksum.

Seen on 6.0.3.2 and 6.0.4.1. This does not seem to be a regression because the
same happens also with LibO 5.4.

Discussed this in the design meeting. The implementation might have room for
improvement, ie. position/popup of controls, but the functionality itself is
not questioned. So we keep it, perhaps in the future not as a standalone
toolbar.

what is the sense of the field "Skalierung" when not being used to scale the
size of the picture?

I wrote 13 books in the last 15 years and thousands of times used this field
"Skalierung" for making pictures smaller or bigger without changing the picture
file itself which I want to stay unchanged.

Pasting text requires horizontal (and/or vertical) scrolling resulting in a
blank canvas that doesn't accept controls. Therefore I understand text boxes
(and any large object) as the cause of the issue - otherwise there would be a
use case for not restricting the canvas.

Similar issue happens when a table has been inserted on top of the document and

Adjusting summary, removing needsUX, and the issue is a major annoyance (at

As an idea, it was suggested to work these functions into the Navigator dialog
(good idea IMO) or/and added to Standard toolbar (very bad idea IMO).

Fix docking left (edit: or anywhere else), another idea, is not an option since
users define the UI and have the Navigator docked left, for example.
