[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 117133] New: Option for grid subdivision do not persist when using points as measurement unit
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=117133 Bug ID: 117133 Summary: Option for grid subdivision do not persist when using points as measurement unit Product: LibreOffice Version: 5.4.6.2 release Hardware: All OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Draw Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: michaelep...@gmail.com Description: When using points as the measurement unit, setting the grid subdivisions per unit size does not appear to persist, and is reset on restart of libreoffice (all applications: draw, impress, writer, etc). Steps to Reproduce: 0. I'm able to reproduce on a (relatively) new, clean install of Fedora 27; I have not attempted to reproduce in a pristine VM. This issue does not appear to effect all measurement types, such as millimeters/centimeters, but I did not exhaustively test all measurement types. 1. Select "points" in the Tools menu >> options... >> LibreOffice Impress/Draw" >> General >> Unit of measurement; save via "OK" button. 2. Modify the grid size and subdivisions in the Tools menu >> options... >> LibreOffice Impress/Draw" >> Gird >> Resolution/Subdivision ; enter 72.0 for all values here; save via "OK" button. 3. Restart libreoffice. 4. Inspect the grid size and subdivisions in the Tools menu >> options... >> LibreOffice Impress/Draw" >> Gird >> Resolution/Subdivision. Actual Results: The grid resolution is typically preserved and for saved value of 72.0 pt, after restart the grid resolution is still 72.0 pt. However, for a saved value of 72 (spaces) grid subdivisions, after restart a value of 74 spaces will be presented . The new grid size will result in incorrectly positioned elements when snapping to grid points, other objects, etc. Expected Results: The grid subdivision option should be correctly preserved. Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: Yes User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Fedora; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/60.0.3112.101 Safari/537.36 -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

It would be useful to have an option to prevent overlap. This is somewhat of an interoperability issue, in Word only floating tables allow overlap, and even there it's configurable by a setting: Allow overlap. In Word the setting is also part of the general layout options. Being able to import/export this setting would simplify conversion between ODF and DOC(X) formats. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 117131] Double Line Formating Has Changed After Updating To v5.4.6.2
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=117131 V Stuart Foote changed: What|Removed |Added CC||vstuart.fo...@utsa.edu --- Comment #1 from V Stuart Foote --- Font handling (was reworked 5.3 with tweaks through 5.4) so what LibreOffice build was it last correct. Font details and metrics for your "Courier Prime 12" font? Looking at the 1.203 build of the font shows it is OTF Version 3, so would not use the OTF recommended Typo metrics that a Version 4 font would, and so uses the Win Ascent/Descent metrics. Then, depending on the metrics of the font, the LibreOffice "Double" line spacing applies 200% of the calculated fontheight+leading. As a work around, you can switch line spacing to "proportional" and adjust up or down from 200% to get your document back to your expected page count. Also, be sure your paragraph spacings (Format -> Paragraph: Spacing above, Spacing below and the "Don't add space between paragraphs of the same style") are set as you'd prefer. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 117131] New: Double Line Formating Has Changed After Updating To v5.4.6.2
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=117131 Bug ID: 117131 Summary: Double Line Formating Has Changed After Updating To v5.4.6.2 Product: LibreOffice Version: 5.4.6.2 release Hardware: x86 (IA32) OS: Windows (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Writer Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: rayis...@hotmail.com The double line spacing in an .ODT document I have been working on in LibreOffice for over a year has altered since updating to v5.4.6.2. The document has reduced from 456 to 362 pages due to the double line spacing shrinking in size. There are now 28 lines per page instead of the normal 22 lines. When I open the document, the information bar reads 456 pages initially but after a few seconds the page number drops to 362. The number of words and characters has not changed. The document font is Courier Prime 12. When I open a new document in LibreOffice the double line spacing appears correct. I have asked for help on the community forum but the one reply I received did not solve the problem. After installing the v5.4.6.2 update it requested that I reboot my Windows 10 x86 laptop. I have not had to reboot after a LibreOffice update before. The problem with the line spacing occurred after this update. The document opens correctly in Apache OpenOffice v4.1.5 and MS Word 2016. To try to solve The problem I highlighted all the document text in LibreOffice and reset the line spacing to "double" in Format - Paragraph - Line Spacing but this did not rectify the problem. I uninstalled v5.4.6.2 and deleted any LibreOffice folders in Program Files and AppData/Roaming. I then reinstalled the previous version of LibreOffice but this did not solve the problem. I saved the document as a .docx in MS Word 2016 and then opened it in LibreOffice but the problem persisted. I saved the document as .ODT in Apache OpenOffice but when I opened it in LibreOffice the same problem occurred. I tried copying and pasting the text into a new LibreOffice document but that didn't solve the problem. I'm using a fresh copy of the document from an external source each time I try a new fix. I'm unable to upload this document. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

Pressing the "`" key and then "a" key produces "à", which is very common in french (but is usually obtained by pressing the "à" key itself (the "0" key without "shift")). To get a "`" character alone (useful in lisp macros), we have to press once the "`" key and then the space bar. In many applications, pressing cmd-` switches to the next window and cmd-shift-` to the previous window. In LibreOffice, the behaviour of cmd-` depends on the document type. = In a Writer document, it's almost the same with or without keeping "cmd" down: - press "`" (without "cmd") -> insert a "`" dead character, with the same background as a selected character, but without any border. - click menu "Fenêtre" > some other window ("Fenêtre" means "Window") - click menu "Fenêtre" > the previous window -> the "`" is still highlighted - press "a" -> the "`" is replaced by a "a" (not a "à") - press "cmd-`" -> it switches to the next window - click menu "Fenêtre" > the previous window -> there is a "`" highlighted character - press "a" -> the "`" is replaced by a "a" (not a "à") = In a Calc document, it's more complexe. - double click a cell - press "l" and then "`" -> insert a "l" and a "`" dead character, with the a lighter background than a selected character. - click menu "Fenêtre" > some other window ("Fenêtre" means "Window") - click menu "Fenêtre" > the previous window -> the cell itself is highlighted (and contains "l`") if you: - press "a" -> the whole contents of the cell is replaced by a "a". but if you: - double click the cell to edit its contents -> it contains "l`" - press "a" -> nothing happens: no "a", no "à", the "`" remains When pressing "cmd-`", we have the same behaviour (plus the window switching). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 117102] picture scaling not fine enough
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=117102 --- Comment #10 from Dr. Matthias Weisser --- Hello Dieter, you write: "I still have Scaling of 62% and 61%, and I don't know why." I also do not why this is so with your system. I am using Win7 64bit, LO5.3.7.2 and my system does show now "Sklarierung" 42% with your test3.odt. I see you changed the height in the field "Bildgröße" which is below "Skalierung". This works. If I put 19cm in "Höhe" at ""Bildgröße", so this will change "Höhe" in "Skalierung" to 40%. Putting to 42% results in 19,96 cm which is too big. You set the value to 19,74cm which fits better. So its not directly possible using "Skalierung" in fine enough steps. To do fine enough its necessary using "Höhe" at ""Bildgröße". Why is is not possible changing the percent value in finer steps? You see that this seems to be necessary here. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 115817] Removal or disabling of the Navigation toolbar ( a GSOC 2009 contribution see bug 32869)
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=115817 --- Comment #11 from Heiko Tietze --- As an idea, it was suggested to work these functions into the Navigator dialog (good idea IMO) or/and added to Standard toolbar (very bad idea IMO). Fix docking left (edit: or anywhere else), another idea, is not an option since users define the UI and have the Navigator docked left, for example. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
