Now what is actually happening in all cases: there are "really empty" pages at the end of the document due to whatever reason. If you open this document with 5.4, you can see, that the initial document has also 6 pages, but these get reduced to 4, because the last two pages are "really empty". At least I can see this, when opening the document in a remote LO via SSH X forwarding. Reducing also happens for 116872, if you scroll with the cursor. Actually I've got this problem when striping the last digit (and possibly a
character) from the name names of samples from some analyses.
I've got such names as in first column and would like to strip last digit and
possibly letter. I was surprised to get different results for "KHe3r" and
"KHe3" when using "[0-9]?$". One can deal with the problem with
"[0-9][a-z]{0,1}$" which work as I expected.

A second diff is that mpOutlinerParaObject in master is a std::unique_ptr now. I am still able to reproduce the bug, but with an extra step (3A) as below: Steps to Reproduce: 1. Create an empty Calc spreadsheet. 2. Create another new sheet. 3. Go to "View" > "Freeze Cells" > "Freeze Columns and Rows" 3A. Select cell B3 (other cells except A1 seem to work too). 4. Delete this new sheet.
