https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=118617 Bug ID: 118617 Summary: LibreOffice_6.0.5_Win_x86_helppack_en-GB.msi.torrent creates LibreOffice_6.0.5_Win_x86.msi Product: LibreOffice Version: 6.0.5.2 release Hardware: x86 (IA32) OS: Windows (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: LibreOffice Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: pau...@industrialcontrol.co.nz Description: Downloading torrent file LibreOffice_6.0.5_Win_x86_helppack_en-GB.msi.torrent and running it results in the creation of file LibreOffice_6.0.5_Win_x86.msi instead of file LibreOffice_6.0.5_Win_x86_helppack_en-GB.msi. This results in conflict with LibreOffice_6.0.5_Win_x86_helppack_en-GB.msi.torrent which tries to create the same file but with different content. Judging by errors received, there may be 1 or more servers offering the help file content to users trying to download the main application. I expect this to be a side-effect of the error above. Steps to Reproduce: 1.https://www.libreoffice.org/download/download/?type=win-x86=6.0.5=en-GB 2.In the 6.0.5 option, click 'Torrent' after 'Help for offline use: English (GB)' 3. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 118614] When a form showing a date field containing a valid date is exported as a PDF file with "Create PDF form" checked, the resultant PDF file shows an empty field.

Doing a search just nor though I find that even with Adobe tools the solution to default dates as strings (and other strings defaults) is by using a snippet of javascript embedded in the PDF file. The adobe tools offer a scripting environment similar to that in LibreOffice for basic (etc.). So, I'm not sure this is an error in LibreOffice. It would be great if there were an OS tool that would let you apply the solution from recommended in the Adobe forums. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 118616] New: PDF export of a form's scrollable memo field shows fewer lines than on the original form
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=118616 Bug ID: 118616 Summary: PDF export of a form's scrollable memo field shows fewer lines than on the original form Product: LibreOffice Version: 6.0.5.2 release Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64) OS: Windows (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: minor Priority: medium Component: Printing and PDF export Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: ostersund18...@gmail.com Created attachment 143384 --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=143384=edit To demonstrate PDF shows fewer memo lines than on original When a form showing a scrollable memo field containing more lines than the field can display is exported as a PDF file with "Create PDF form" checked, the field on the resultant PDF file shows a scrollable field containing fewer visible lines than in the field on the database form, though the hidden lines may be viewed by scrolling. I suspect a font problem in that the font used in the PDF file is different from (and slightly larger than) the default font used in the database form field. To demonstrate :- 1. Open the attached "Test7 - Memo.odb" database file. 2. Open form "Form1" - this will display a form containing a field of type memo containing 10 lines, of which the first 7 lines are visible, with a scrollbar allowing the remaining 3 lines to be viewed. 3. From the menu bar, select "File", then "Export as PDF..." 4. On the right hand side of the resultant "PDF Options" panel, check only "Create PDF Form" and "View PDF after export", then select "Export" 5. Save the resultant PDF file to a convenient place - it will then be automatically displayed. 6. Observe that the scrollable field on the PDF file displays 5 visible lines, not 7, and they appear to be preceded by a blank half-line. Using the scrollbar, it is possible to view the remaining 5 lines, and they appear to be followed by a blank half-line. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

Whether or not the hidden lines are shown appears to depend on how many characters the memo field contains. To demonstrate :- 1. Open the attached "Test6 - Memo.odb" database file. 2. Open form "Form1" - this will display a form containing three fields of type memo each containing 10 lines, of which the first 7 lines are visible, with a scrollbar allowing the remaining 3 lines to be viewed, but containing different numbers of characters. 3. From the menu bar, select "File", then "Export as PDF..." 4. On the right hand side of the resultant "PDF Options" panel, check only "View PDF after export", then select "Export" 5. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 118550] EDITING: Manage Styles Dialogue (F11) became unusable.
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=118550 --- Comment #7 from Albrecht Müller --- Additional observations: The working version of registrymodifications.xcu contains a line any,PropertyDeckcom.sun.star.chart2.ChartDocument,ChartDeckcom.sun.star.sdb.FormDesign,PropertyDeckcom.sun.star.sheet.SpreadsheetDocument,NavigatorDeck The correspondig line in the version that does not work is: any,PropertyDeckcom.sun.star.chart2.ChartDocument,ChartDeckcom.sun.star.sdb.FormDesign,PropertyDeckcom.sun.star.sheet.SpreadsheetDocument,NavigatorDeckcom.sun.star.text.TextDocument,StyleListDeck By changing this line I could achieve that the "Manage Styles" dialogue becomes functional, i.e. it stays on the screen. Unfortunately this works only once. LibreOffice seems to recreate the defect entry when it is closed. Therefore the dialogue is not functional when I start LibreOffice next time. The same thing happens when I close the "Manage Styles" dialogue and try to show it again. It disappears immediately as before. I could fix this behaviour by dragging the "Manage Styles" dialogue into a docked area - it stayed there after restart of LibreOffice. After dragging it back to some other area it showed the same behaviour as before, i.e. disappeared. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 118550] EDITING: Manage Styles Dialogue (F11) became unusable.
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=118550 --- Comment #6 from Albrecht Müller --- Thanks for your information. Based on it I dared to experiment with the user profile directory. That's the current state of affairs: I found out that Windows happened to save a backup of the "user" directory just a day before the problem appeared. This way I could restore an almost current working state (great Windows feature!). I put the directory containing the "user" directory under git version control and saved this version. I then replaced the contents of the "user" directory with the contents of the libreoffice-profile.zip file I generated using LibreOffice's Safe Mode and committed this version too. The comparison of the two commits showed that the backup created by LibreOffice has some defects: - It seems to contain no or wrong timestamps. - The names of some files in the "wordbook" subdirectory were different. LibreOffice seems to replace spaces, umlauts and some other characters by the percent encoded representation of their UTF-8 codes. I observed this effect in some other directories too. This led to some problems with spell checking. I did not look for problems this may cause in other areas. With respect to the "Manage Styles" dialogue the two profiles behave as expected. It is functional when I use the profile restored from the Windows backup, and it does not work when I use the version from the .zip. This way I can reproduce the problem. When I copied the registrymodifications.xcu from the version that does not work into the one that does the "Manage Styles" dialogue ceases to work. So I think the problem is related to the contents of this file. I could test the "bad style hypothesis" - it seems to be wrong. In a not working profile I changed the stanza you mentioned to toggle the preview styles checkbox. Unfortunately the "Manage Styles" dialogue disappears as before. In the flickering dialogue box (repeating F11 key) I could see that the checkbox did not use style preview, i.e. the checkbox is off. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 118597] pasting images into LibreOffice Writer is resulting in documents that won't print properly
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=118597 --- Comment #1 from Michael Pardee --- Here's some more odd behavior this document exhibits: I opened flowers-7-pages.odt with LibreOffice Writer 6.0.3-0ubuntu1 in Xubuntu 18.04 , and when it first opens it says "Page 1 of 7" in the lower lefthand corner, then after a second it says "Page 1 of 5" , and the document renders as only taking up 5 pages. Printing works but it is only 5 pages. Then I installed LibreOffice 6.1 from debs downloaded from LibreOffice's site and they installed into /opt . With 6.1 the document stayed at 7 pages. Then I did a completely fresh Xubuntu 18.04 install, and now it switches from 7 pages to 5 pages while loading - even with version 6.1 . I have deleted .config/libreoffice on both installs. What difference in the operating system would cause LibreOffice to display a document as a different number of pages? Here is a screenshot of the 7 page vs. 5 page rendering difference between two Xubuntu 18.04 installs using the exact same version of LibreOffice 6.1.0.1: http://s2.groovix.net/tmp/7-pages-5-pages.png -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=113541 David Vinograd changed: What|Removed |Added Version|5.4.2.2 release |6.0.5.2 release --- Comment #19 from David Vinograd --- Hi, I am trying to move from Excel 2002 to calc. Most of my spread sheets have links to other spread sheets to named cells. What happens is really weird. After much playing round I was able to get a set of linked spread sheets to work. The playing consisted of reading in the file and writing it out, editing the names of the external named cells in the link and editing the names of the cells in the link target. The edits deleted characters and / or reset the complete name. I have no idea why some links work and some don't, nor any consistent way to repair them. I have seen the exact same link fail in different cells for example. The error is #REF - can that be expanded in some way? Can anyone propose the next steps? Insert a measure line and a normal line Switch back to Normal View. Uncheck option show "Master objects". Save presentation. Show presentation. The normal line is not visible (as expected), but the measure line is visible. The checkbox "Master objects" belongs to the page style attribute presentation:background-objects-visible. Unchecking "Master objects" sets this attribute to "false". In file format a "background object" is a drawing object, which is contained in a style:master-page element. But for LibreOffice a "background object" is an object, that is assigned to the layer "backgroundobjects", and measurelines are automatically assigned to the layer "measurelines" and hence they are not hidden. These concept of layers is not covered by file format. https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=118610 --- Comment #2 from Shawnix --- (In reply to V Stuart Foote from comment #1) > > We'll assume you do mean on the Calc sheet and Format -> Cells -> Alignment > I meant on the Properties sidebar, but I assume that they do the same thing. > No, when you paste you must Paste Special -> Unformatted text to allow the > cell format to assert. The default Paste intentionally picks up formatting > (if any) from the clipboard held item, and ignores formatting applied to the > sheet/cell. Although I may have no choice but to (begrudgingly) accept your response, it still doesn't make any sense that copying text from a text editor would produce this action. After all, it is plain ASCII text without any formatting. Replacing the formatting when pasting makes it necessary to perform additional steps to make that cell conform with the rest of the page. These additional steps don't really make sense. It's bad enough that pasting is plagued by the requirement to address the dreaded "Import Options" dialog that should have been eliminated when it was reported as Bug 65872 over 5 years ago.
